1901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anywhere to trade on 1st August? on: July 31, 2017, 11:41:09 AM
they are not closing their doors and shutting down the website Cheesy
some one them will only disable deposit and withdrawals to prevent mistakes from happening and all the problem of solving them. you CAN still trade on all the exchanges. unless they have explicitly said they will CLOSE down.

i am currently trading litecoin with bitcoin on both bittrex and c-cex and they both work fine. c-cex haven't even disabled the withdrawal!
1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to buy ethereum (eth)? on: July 31, 2017, 11:30:54 AM
using google for these easy questions like this is much faster!
i don't know which wallet (visit their website to find out) but i use bittrex for trading ETH and you can buy it there. and hold there too in case you wanted to dump as price drops.

and here is a nearly complete listed of the places that you can do it:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/#markets
1903  Economy / Exchanges / who would have thought: Btc-e coming back this soon! on: July 31, 2017, 11:23:37 AM
they've released an official statement today in a couple of hours ago:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2056158.0
use google translate or look at comment #13, someone already did.
who would have thought they come back this soon and promise a refund!

the interesting line is the last one and says this Alexander guy wasn't their owner.
1904  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I support Bitcoin Cash and here's why. on: July 31, 2017, 11:13:32 AM
Look at this chart https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#dominance-percentage it says that from February 21 up to June 17 Bitcoin market share has dropped from 87% to 38! Doesn't it bother you people at all? That's why price went down to 1700$, PEOPLE STOPPED USING BITCOIN, because of the lack of credibility- namely slow transactions and high as fuck fees. After that price returned to ~2700$ ONLY because of speculations around Segwit2x. It's the only reason, bBitcoin  is dying and u all know it.

this strategy of pushing for idiotic stuff is too old now. you are assuming people are too dumb to believe misinformation like that!

what coinmarketcap.com calls "dominance" is a bad comparison factor between market capitalization and nearly everyone knows that altcoins such as Ethereum and Ripple are the reason why, with their ridiculously huge number of coins. it is 96 million and 100 billion coins! compared to 16 million of bitcoin! and ripple released a couple of billion recently and ethereum is being mined with mad numbers daily!

the price never went down to $1700 unless in your dreams. it went down to about $1850 and only lasted there for half hour before going back up above $2000 and every newbie who can look at a chart knows this type of change (10-20% drop due to FUD) has always been a normal thing even back in 2009.

and the only reason for high fees which lasted less than 3 months was becanse those who are advertising bitcoin cash have been spam attacking bitcoin network.

and besides if bitcoin were dying or dead or whatever, you wouldn't have been here spreading your FUD Wink
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH rally has begun. on: July 30, 2017, 10:51:18 AM
this is not a rally this is the come back after a huge dump, when people start FOMO buying at the bottom thinking it is the rally!

like always everything will come down to bitcoin and its price. if in the following month bitcoin price reaches $3600 as the experts have speculated then most altcoins including ETH will have a very bad time ahead of themselves because they will get dumped even harder.

but if bitcoin starts having problems with its rise and breaking the ATH, then it is possible that the money travel to altcoins to pump them instead while bitcoin gets its shit together!
1906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my Bitcoins on my Bittrex & Bitfinex account or should I move it? on: July 30, 2017, 10:45:07 AM
both of these exchanges are trusted enough for you to leave your coins there but remember this does not mean they won't stop being trusted. or this doesn't mean they won't get hacked like bitfinex did last year.
it is a risk that as a trader you should accept first and then start using these exchanges. and we can do nothing about it so far. the decentralized exchanges are a replacement but they are not good replacement.

in any case keeping coins in these exchanges can mean a much faster way of dumping your BCC before its price crashes down.
1907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and BCC vs. ETH and ETC on: July 30, 2017, 10:37:16 AM
the only thing that BTC/BCC and ETH/ETC share is one word called "hard fork" nothing else!

the hard fork is not even on the same level. ETH hard forked to roll back their serious exploited bug and recover their funds and because of that it left behind ETC.

BCC is forking because they want to attack bitcoin and take over.
1908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attention: The next BTC crisis is comming? on: July 29, 2017, 12:13:30 PM
I will resume:
hmm... i feel like the account name is changed but the content is the same. hmmm. curiouser and curiouser...

Quote
It's possible that the next crisis is comming.
there is always drama in bitcoin but to this date there has been no crisis. only what people call crisis and panic over for no good reason.

Quote
Always, when there is some uncertainity, the whales attack
so far whales have been accumulating Wink

Quote
(and, sometimes, hackers too).
hackers have also been hard at work for the past 8.5+ years. they never ceased fire Wink Wink

Quote
Also, anything could happen in addition to that.
yes, aliens could also attack. dying to see ET up close and personal.

Quote
- Some of the biggests exchanges use only Tethers as Dollar value (Poloniex, Bittrex, etc.).
i don't trade on polo but the TETHER market on bittrex is as good as dead.

Quote
- A lot of people will exchange BTCs for USDT as a safe option near the 08/01.
no they won't. people always go back to fiat not another shaky altcoin. some do it for some other reasons but NEVER for holding.
and besides people who want to trade bitcoin are elsewhere dong it with fiat.
people who are on exchanges like polo and bittrex are there for the altcoins and if they want they will go in an altcoin.

and on top of it all bitcoin price is rising fast these days. with the speculations out most people are expecting a rise.

Quote
- As I'm writing this, BTC is beginning to show a possible downtrend (just chart analysis. I hope I'm wrong).
i believe you are wrong. and without including your chart analysis i am going to say you are most probably wrong Wink

Quote
So, if bitcoin drops, a lot of people will want to sell their bitcoins for USDT, but the USDT supply could be not enough.
The result is a BTC falling rapidly to adjust the USDT demand, and a lot of people panicking.
NO, this will never happen. as i said above people are not even selling their bitcoin for USDT to begin with and i assure you that a long long time before USDT runs out its price will crash.

this means if your scenario happens and people really do start selling for USDT they will crash the price down and when 1 USDT is worth $0.9 no idiot would continue to sell for USDT and the selling will simply stop.

Quote
Just in case, a sold the half part of my Bitcoins.
just make sure not to panic buy when you missed out on the rise Wink

1909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BCC ticker name on: July 29, 2017, 11:21:19 AM
it doesn't really matter. there is no standard for naming altcoins. there are multiple duplicate names in the world of altcoins which can cause a lot of confusion. BCC is just one in the many. and people seem to prefer this name instead.

the only thing having a standard is bitcoin which has the XBT (as the International Standard Organization ISO suggests) as its standard short from which not that many are using, people stick to BTC most times.
1910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: What to do with 5000 USD today, one day before August 1st ?! on: July 29, 2017, 11:10:48 AM
when in doubt buy bitcoin Cheesy

it is the best investment long term. you first should learn the risks, then learn the security (like how to use a proper cold storage for wallet). and then invest what you can afford to lose.

getting involved with altcoins needs more of a trader personality than just invest and forget for long term kind of people. altcoins in long term will disappoint you.
1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is everyone feeling going into Aug 1? on: July 28, 2017, 12:30:07 PM
i am actually very excited. and i get excited like this very often, whenever i am getting some additional money that i can invest in bitcoin.

right now i am counting the seconds that i can start receiving my airdrops and then rush to dump them. i wonder how fast i can perform all this, it is a race after all.
and then that is a lot of free money, and another race to buy bitcoin with all the free money i've got before BTC price goes higher. as i said it is a race after all.

i am going to be floating in adrenaline that day Grin
1912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When future Bitcoin is sent to an address that existed BEFORE fork what happens? on: July 28, 2017, 12:17:19 PM
nothing will happen, you receive the payment (bitcoin) as before without any problems. SegWit is not yet activated, it is in the lock in stage, and even when it does, because it was a soft fork and because of how it works, the old addresses are still valid and working.
with the BCC altcoin fork, you still have nothing to worry about because you are receiving payment. the sender has to think about replay protection. you will receive the payment exactly like before.

in short, as someone receiving bitcoin you don't have to worry about anything. just wait a little bit longer for more confirmation if you are doing a trade and want to be more sure.
1913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where does the support for BTC Core and those who support BCC come from? on: July 28, 2017, 12:12:43 PM
nobody is supporting bitcoin cash really.
there are only a handful of people who have always been trying to take over bitcoin such as Craig Wrigt (the person who stole Satoshi's identity and lied) and a couple more known characters. a miner called ViaBTC. and some idiots who are just hyping it up because they want to be able to sell at a higher price. so they are desperately spamming everywhere with nonsense pretending it has support to prevent the inevitable crash of this altcoin.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCC market value on: July 28, 2017, 12:05:21 PM
so far it is only listed in one place (and that one place is the only miner that is pushing for it!) and the price has been falling ever since it was listed. the coin is not released yet!

when it is released people will treat it the same way they have been treating the altcoins with airdrops for years. they will start selling the free tokens they have received and that will crash the price.
because in altcoins only a very small portion of people claim those. the biggest one is only 10% of bitcoin users.
with this BCC altcoins all bitcoiners will receive their airdrop and they will dump it. at least 80% of them will.

don't expect any decent price out of it any time soon.
1915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Ripple on: July 27, 2017, 11:17:46 AM
it is not just some banks, it has always been the banks that were supporting it. they always come in, learn the stuff and pretend they care and the ripple supporters go berserk because of the "good" news and then after a while the same banks get out and create their own system disconnected from ripple for their own benefit.

and ripple's supply is massive. it is 100 billion in total and the circulating amount is also big. they keep promising to "burn" some but we keep seeing they released a new batch of supply when price goes up!
and you know what they say about supply and demand Wink

and nobody really supports these things. you can see from all the comments regarding ripple. every single person only cares about the price and how they can earn more profit from it. profit on their fiat or BTC they put in.
1916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible BTC fork and implications for holding Altcoins on: July 27, 2017, 11:07:10 AM
Thanks so much for your responses . . .

So since there is a fork imminent i.e. BCC would it be worth selling Altcoins back into BTC in order to gain the free BCC?

I'm not sure whether it will gain much support but it could given the small Chinese following.

it is very hard to say if it is a good idea or not and when we become certain it would be already too late!

right now the price of BCC doesn't look good and as we get closer to the date it will probably drop even more. and when it is actually released price will tank hard because obviously a lot of us will sell. even if we sell 90% of it we will make sure to sell.

and on top of that the trusted exchanges have not yet added and may not even add BCC for you to sell easily. so far only 1 place has it which is an unknown and new exchange operated by the only mining pool supporting this split.... everything about it is fishy.

i say weigh your options. see if the altcoin you already have can give you more than the equivalent BCC can potentially give you after the drop or is it not worth it at all.
1917  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: August 1st... Y2K 2.0? on: July 27, 2017, 10:58:46 AM
you are overreacting to this!

first of all this is not the first time bitcoin has had a big drama like this. and it is all a shitshow. we have a couple of these each year. last year's biggest ones were the bitfinex hack and the bitcoin developer Mike Hearn making a dick out of himself calling bitcoin dead.

secondly this industry is just bitcoin and bitcoin alone. with only a handful of altcoins worth even looking at that are really working for some innovation and their prices and their market cap is usually low that nobody even sees them.
the rest is just noise in the background and it has nothing to do with anything. they are too insignificant and short lived to even begin to matter.
1918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Traders: Would you have made more money if you just bought and held? on: July 27, 2017, 10:47:01 AM
with bitcoin, i have tried day trading and was never that successful at it. i am still doing some trading from time to time when the market is easily predictable but i prefer hodling bitcoin rather than trading it. and when i look at the horrifying state that bitcoin exchanges are at, i stick to my decisions.

with altcoins, things are different for me. i am more comfortable trading them short term. even day trading. they aren't worth holding onto anyways. and so far i can say i was successful and happy with my results.
1919  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should i still gonna need to sell my bitcoins in august 1? on: July 27, 2017, 10:33:07 AM
there will always going to be something with bitcoin, you have to accept and embrace the "drama". it won't go away for many years. and people seem to love it now.
just remember to always invest what you can afford to lose and never ask the question you just asked here ever again.

#HODL
1920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about others altcoin than Bitcoin on: July 26, 2017, 12:35:59 PM
that is a long list and each of these coins are very different from the others, and each of them have a lot of problems associated with them. i can't just summarize them all for you. you have to go research them one by one.

if trading and money is all you care about then answering is much simpler. all these altcoins are viable source of bitcoin. because all of them get pump and dumped (specially the pump-specific coins like ethereum) and they can give you a big profit on your bitcoins that you hodl!
you just have to find the right time to invest in each of these.
