That is right. If you buy some bitcoin and hold for the long term, the price will rise and you will be reward. I find that apart from the big pump in late 2013, the bitcoin price will rise in every 3 year period. It is better to hold. So we do not like the big pump and dump, that will cause people not to invest in bitcoin and reduce its price. I remember the big pump in 2013, it was exciting times. But it caused three year of bear market. The price now is still low than then. |

The bitcoin price could go to $10,000 in 3 to 5 years. I do not think the US dollar or Euro will be worthless.
Yeah bitcoin can worth even more and more after years with good usage and mass adoption but it is very hard to make fiat worthless. The fiat is a way to exploit ordinary people as the supply of the currency is unlimited. The governments will always use it. |

it's mostly nothing mayor, but it's a start.

well i think you know or atleast heard about bitcoin block reward halving, so that is a reason why price will rise soon, price is weird because everyone hopes for something, while rest of people buys bitcoins hoping to sell them for more after halving, nobody knows what to do so it looks weird The price is not weird at the moment. It is very stable now. We will see the price rise some time next month. The price has risen to around $449 now. It has risen quite slowly. So the bitcoin is still in the consolidation stage. This is amazing the price today is already break the 450 and now the price is 452.7 according to preev price.. and i think it will continues increase this week until block halving.. The price of these days don't look to be weird. The price has increased after the days of small fluctuations. Hope this rise would continue to reach $500 in the weeks ahead. i hope so too, but i think it may take more than one week to reach $500 because after a $50 rise there will be some shakedown to cash out and kick the weak hands out and then after accumulating more the price will be stable above $500. If the price rises to $500 in early July, I will be very happy. That is 10% rise in two months, or 60% in a year. |

well of course that bitcoin is very very unpredictable and not stable, maybe you're new bitcoin used and don't know but price of bitcoin can change by 50$ in one day, and nobody can predict that, so of course that bitcoin is unpredictable Absolutely agree, Is unpredictable so peoples talk about "stable" after certain time period has elapsed not before , Like to price of last months around $400-450. The price in the last month is very stable as the price is within a tight range of $400 to 450. It is good for mass adoption. The price is still below $450. It is $445 now. So the bitcoin price is indeed very stable. It will rise soon. From last last 10 days, the bitcoin price had a mini pump. It was pumped to $468 for a few days and it dropped. |

no, fiat will never be worthless, fiat will always have it's price and people will always use them, i don't think that bitcoin could be main currency after some time, so fiat will still be here, bitcoin may be alternative currency only When the bitcoin becomes a dominant currency, not many people will keep or use fiat as they are devaluing all the time. |

Personally, I find that it's not easy to buy reasonable amounts of bitcoin without sending my government ID, and/or my taxpayer identification number, to the various exchanges. (I am not willing to do this because I don't trust the security of many start-up companies, and worry about identity theft.) When the exchanges have this information, it's a simple matter for the government to subpoena them, and then me.

I think criminals prefer to don't waste the time waiting the 'complicated" bitcoin transactions and confirmations, it's more simple and easy for them to use fiat and cash and they used this currencies already
For the large criminal organizations, they cannot use bitcoin to buy the goods or service directly. They have to change it to fiat like US dollar. So bitcoin is not the best trading tool for them. However, they can hold the bitcoin as an investment. |

In short term, the price is unpredictable. In long term, the price will go up. Just do not buy at the top of every pump.
