It is early to talk about the finals but hands down, Manchester City with Haaland are the top dogs this year. Betting odds when I saw it before is with Manchester City too. PSG is my team and I am a massive fan, I love them to win this year. PSG can win but I have to admit that they are behind in a small scale. I want to see PSG with a better defensive mindset, I am not underestimating Juventus but Maccabi Haifa also scored a goal to lead early before the trio started heating up.

It is valid for Manchester City also actually. Because if you remember they also conceded a goal first and struggled to answer until the last twenty-minute period of the match. It is of course not the same as Maccabi Haifa are a way weaker team than Dortmund. But I wanted to say that it was expected from Manchester City to keep the match under control in Etihad from the start to the end.

Sometimes even these teams are experiencing some unexpected incidents against weaker teams but the most important thing is to be consistent anyway. If they manage to stay strong despite these things then they have a powerful mindset to make it to the final and even the championship. They need some luck also of course as Manchester City didn't have that against Real Madrid last season for example.  Smiley

It is pretty difficult to predict the results today.

England and Germany both don't have any goal left in the group now. I just wonder if England would like to finish their last League A match with a victory at least. They have the home advantage also. Their last head-to-head ended 1-1 and England saved one point by Kane's goal in the last minutes. I don't think that this match will be comfortable for them either. My expectation is a 2-1 win for England in this. Hence England win at 2.42 and both teams to score at 1.76 are my preferences.

Hungary - Italy is an even more difficult match to predict. Hungary have improved their performance incredibly much. They beat England and Germany both before but lost to Italy. Maybe it is time to have revenge on them now. Hungary would play a controlled game and look for benefiting from their chances in the best way. If they get ahead first it would be quite difficult for Italy to score against them. Because Hungary are very good at maintaining their score advantage recently. They are very durable. I'll still give both teams to score a chance at 2.14.

Bayern Munich didn't accept the rumours regarding their interest in Harry Kane in the previous transfer window. Maybe they really didn't have such interest because they were believing that they would still do a good job without signing a new striker also. However after seeing their very poor performance about scoring goals, they must have changed their mind about this topic.

They are in immediate need of a credible striker now and it would be better for them to have a striker who can make a similar impact as Lewandowski in the team. Harry Kane is really the most sensible candidate for this role. It won't be easy for Bayern Munich to convince him and his team both for certain. I don't expect such transfer in January honestly. But I can't say anything about next summer because it depends on Tottenham's success this year. They are very promising for now but things might change later on.

Bayern really thought they could cope without a striker, not knowing that they are not used to it and badly for them, they are in dare need of a striker and strikers are scarce. The good ones are committed to their clubs for now, it will really be a long difficult season for Bayern if they don't figure out how to overcome this challenge.
January is too far but not too far. Too far because they are not sure Kane would be interested to join them, not too far calendar wise.

Maybe Bayern Munich might have to find another striker in January as it is too difficult for them to convince Kane or his team to sign him.

There is really no alternative player who is in my mind for now. They shouldn't be in a hurry to sign a striker at the same time also. I mean that they should be in search of a good striker already now. Because if they make a wrong transfer then I don't expect much thing would change for the team. They need a productive striker who can adapt to German football in a short time. Because they won't have much time ahead to wait for him to adapt to the team as they would try to improve their form quickly.

On second thought, maybe Patrik Schick might be a good candidate in case they fail in bringing Kane. He is a really talented striker and Leverkusen aren't in a good condition. It would be easier for Bayern to convince him.

It looks like the straights are too long on this track which might cause it to be a little boring for spectators. Of course this would help us see more overtakes but the track would just be uniform because of lacking many sharp turns. But I'm always open for new tracks in F1 as this might help increase the curiosity level of people in this sport. Having always the same tracks might start to be boring for some people at some point. I wonder if we will see Caribbean GP being added later into 2023 calendar.

I think I like the layout.

It has big breaks so it means more overtakes, but it also depends on how large the street is.

Fun fact it will be hot whenever they will race always over 30°C

September and October seem lovely for a race on this track. Maybe we might see some rain which would make the race even more attracting for people.  Grin

Singapore GP is closing in as there is only a week left. This is one of the very lovely races in F1 due to being a night race.  Smiley  Let's see how long Verstappen's winning streak will continue - 5 wins for now. Leclerc will hope him to make a mistake or have a problem with his car to win this. Otherwise there is no chance I'm afraid.

I'd like to add Hamilton's unforgettable lap on this track in 2018: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI3JzYCL3K0

Manchester City vs PSG is a must watch for me, I wouldn't want to miss that game for anything in the world lol. It will be a very competitive game with so much tension especially for both teams defenders, they will have to be up and alert on their feet for 90minutes and for the fact that Madrid eliminated Guardiola's side, Manchester City will be looking to progress past the semi finals this time, their goal is to play in the finals and win the trophy this time.

This would be wonderful for all of us for sure. I'd like to see this great matchup in the finale actually.

Because both of these teams deserve to be a part of that stage. They both haven't achieved any title in the Champions League yet. They have strengthened their squads every year having the same goal - winning it for the first time in their histories. Truthfully I see Manchester City one step ahead of PSG despite the amazing trio of Neymar, Messi and Mbappe. Because I think Manchester City are better as a team. The Haaland transfer was enough to complete the squad for achieving this title more comfortable. I'm not sure about PSG but Manchester City should be able to make it to the finale this time. And I don't expect them to come back with empty hands after reaching that level.

Austria - Croatia started quite fast. Austria answered with an equalizer only in two minutes. It was 1-1 in the first nine minutes already. Truthfully I still don't expect Croatia to leave two points here. They don't need to worry about anything as long as they win this match in the end. They are playing being aware of this and they are showing how much they want to win this match. Maybe it will be a tough one but Croatia would manage to win by one goal in the worst case.

Netherlands - Belgium match is important for the lead indeed. Maybe Belgium's job is still difficult but I still expect them to leave with three points. Netherlands would only like to keep the score under control to prevent Belgium from taking the lead. As long as they don't lose to Belgium with at least three-goal gap there is no problem for them. Hence I expect a dramatic ending like Belgium win 2-1 or 3-1. But so far in the match there is still no goal. Let's see which side will open the deadlock.

After seeing the results yesterday I was ready for at least one surprising result today as well. It happened just as many of us expected. But truthfully I was expecting Portugal to stumble rather than Spain. This was unexpected for me. Spain played badly in the first half despite dominating in ball possession. They started to find more opportunities in the second half but Switzerland were still well-prepared for this match. This 2-1 loss caused Spain to lose their lead.

Portugal were much more effective than I expected. They really crushed their opponent by 4-0. I expected Czech Republic to resist them well and score a goal also. They were still fighting for not dropping from the league but their performance today was too bad. Switzerland have pushed them to the last position now. The final week matches will be quite interesting as both of them will be important for different reasons.

Arsenal are preparing for another big match against Tottenham. Right after this one their opponent is going to be Liverpool. They have a really difficult fixture in only two weeks but at least they are going to play both of these matches home. After having a problematic match against Manchester United I expect to see a much better performance from Arsenal. They need to show how strong they are in this kind of important matches also.

Tottenham are a very difficult team to defeat for them now. Because their form is nearly the same as Arsenal's recently. Their offensive performance is a big threat to Arsenal defense at the same time. Son's contribution will be really crucial for them after seeing him against Leicester last. If Arsenal keep the match under control they can still win this. But I still expect a close score at the end like 2-1. Both teams to score will be my betting preference at 1.54. It would be too surprising if one of them doesn't score.

F1 is expanding once more.

They are now talking about adding 1 more GP.

The GP will be in Colombia in the city of Barranquilla

~snip~

we also have a laeked image of the layout.

It doesn't seem like an attention getting track to me at least for now. Seeing it in real life might change my mind of course.

Italy - England match might be England's last chance to stay in their current league. There is a three-point gap between these teams now and England are on the brink of relegating. I expect to see England playing extra tonight to get a win here. England win @2.44 seems very favourable to bet on for me. Maybe it is a big risk but I believe it's worth taking now. Southgate must have his best players in the starting eleven to reach their goal easier.

That's true, but I think Italy will try to do everything to win this game, and the next ones in the League of Nations. They won't participate in the World Cup, so they will certainly want to show what they're worth and this is the only competition where they can still do that this year.

They really did it. Italy won the match by 1-0 even though England seemed a little better in performance. I don't know how England couldn't even score one goal in an important match for themselves. England have no chance left to stay in League A officially now. Maybe they might not be too sad about that but I would have still waited for them to do better than this.

Germany's losing the match was even more unexpected but they are at least comfortable about moving on in this league. Hungary really deserve all the appreciations. Their effort so far has been really high but I still thought that Germany would win this time to secure their spot. Maybe if they were in the same group in the World Cup the scenario might have been much different. Germany would care much more about it in the end compared to the Nations League.

We can clearly say that Eternal Fire are out of ESL Pro League after this huge defeat against Evil Geniuses also by 2-0. Even if they win both of their remaining matches it wouldn't still be enough. They have a chance mathematically of course but it is a very far possibility in the end. I still don't get how they managed to play even worse against the weakest opponent they have in this group. It must have been a clear victory for Eternal Fire instead and this would have been enough to boost their morale significantly.

I had hopes about Dust2 map at least but Eternal Fire performed even worse there and lost by 16-4. I think keeping imoRR in the main roster is a big mistake. They should replace him with xfl0ud as soon as possible to have a more reliable roster. He is a younger player and I believe he is much more talented. He is a much better team player also. imoRR is just hurting this team by simple individual mistakes. XANTARES said that he was their entry fragger but it looks like imoRR got this really wrong.  Grin

What do you guys think about Italy vs England tonight which is the same game as it was the final in the last Euro cup,we had the first encounter between these two teams finish 1-1 and I think that can be the result of tonight game also but I don't know why bookies show as a slight favorite England when they could not win at home both in the final of the Euro and both at this league.I think it either finishes 1-1 or Italy makes a narrow win tonight.

While for Germany I would be extremely surprised if they don't win in their home field against Hungary,a team that lately brought problems to Germany.

Italy - England match might be England's last chance to stay in their current league. There is a three-point gap between these teams now and England are on the brink of relegating. Hungary's run so far has been really surprising for many people but I don't see it that way. Because most of the favourites aren't caring about this tournament properly and they only use this as a preparation opportunity for the World Cup. If Hungary win today they are qualifying for the playoffs. But I think this time we will see a better performance from Germany unlike their first match. Germany don't have an odd worth betting on though (1.31). But I might combine it with my England choice.

Christian Horner stated that he hoped to see Ricciardo reaching an agreement with Alpine for next season. Because he believes that Ricciardo is still one of the best drivers on the grid now.

I can agree with this point of view definitely. I also think that Ricciardo is still a great driver despite this poor season. Maybe this season might be like this because of some in-team problem. I see Norris and Ricciardo having some problems between each other sometimes. Maybe these things are affecting Ricciardo bad mentally and we see its reflection on his performance. Concentration is the key factor in Formula 1. If you let some other problems occupying your head it would cause a significant drop in your performance. I hope Ricciardo can make a better comeback in 2023 season.

I think that this is the most important season for PSG to achieve the Champions League title.

The reason why I think like this is that they might lose Messi at the end of his contract which is lasting until June 30, 2023. I think that Messi would like to wait until the last day of his contract to hope for an offer from Barcelona. He might want to get back there before his retirement. As far as I know Laporta said before that their doors were always open for Messi. Xavi would also like to see his old friend in his team again I guess. However it depends on the financial status of the team too. They have spent too much money recently so I wonder if they will be in some trouble at the end of this season. But they really seem like they can pay whatever amount they want whenever they'd like.  Grin

If PSG lose one player from their trio then this would affect them really deeply for their Champions League title goal. Therefore they should do everything they can to win it this season for the first time in their history.

My both teams to score bet on the Croatia - Denmark match won nicely after Eriksen scored the equalizer. Croatia seem very determined to win now. Only two minutes after the equalizer they got ahead once again. This win would carry them to the lead by only a one point gap with Denmark in the group. It would be a huge advantage before the final week matches. Croatia are really making up for the bad times they had by having a successful time period in the Nations League.

As France were in danger of relegating from League A the coach decided to start with their main players. They have dominated the match so far and they are getting close to winning comfortably by 2-0 now. Mbappe and Giroud cooperation is helping the team about this nice win. Maybe the Nations League isn't their priority but they wouldn't like to relegate from the first league also of course.
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2022/23 Season on: September 22, 2022, 03:08:34 PM
I think that Adana Demirspor are the most attracting team in the league at the moment. Because they have had a really huge form so far and they are in the lead now.

They are one of the best attacking teams recently by scoring 16 goals in 7 matches. I can't say this for their defense as they still have weak points. But they have done a good job by suppressing this weakness by improving their scoring performance so far. Belhanda and Onyekuru are the most scorers which must be frustrating to see for Galatasaray. But I don't know how much they can maintain this.

If Galatasaray-Besiktas-Fenerbahce trio have a good run Adana Demirspor's job to hold onto top 3 would be very difficult. Once this trio have the wind at their back it would be hard for any team remaining to keep up with them until the end of the season. Truthfully this time I hope to see a title race between this trio after seeing Besiktas and Galatasaray very poor last season. It would be an exciting season for us after Trabzonspor's boring dominance.

Chelsea ERA is kinda gone in my opinion. Sure ,they still have great players in the squad but they don't perform well and I don't see any great signs for them and I'm sure in winter and next summer , a lot of them will be leaving the team. Regarding coaches , you are 100% right , because right now , there are no great coaches available or at least top managers to be available and Tuchel might be join Juventus soon or Bayern...there are hard rumors from both of the clubs.

For now it is really difficult to be sure of anything about Chelsea. Graham Potter will need some time to build a strong relationship with the team. He will also be under pressure of being sacked in case he doesn't have a good run in the rest of the season. It is too difficult for them to win the Premier League or Champions League title of course. But they need to give some good signals from now on.

We might watch a quite different team from now on. I mean Graham Potter might prefer attacking focused strategies mostly like he was doing at Brighton. He can't know if this will work for Chelsea also before trying it for some time of course. I would like to see this change as I'm bored of watching Chelsea focusing on their defense more than enough after getting ahead in a match. They should be able to score multiple goals in as many matches as possible to achieve something regularly.

It was really hard to understand Eternal Fire today. I mean that they could have done much better than this for certain.

First of all, they were really bad in the second half of Nuke. After winning the first half 8-7 as T, I waited for Eternal Fire to win the map. This map's being the most played one for them was one thing and its being a CT-sided map was another. But somehow they played really poorly and got only three rounds in the other half. They didn't start well to Vertigo but they managed to recover later. They carried their hopes to the last map by winning after OT. Inferno was one of the most successful maps for Eternal Fire. I was waiting for them to be better but the opposite happened. FURIA really destroyed them by 16-5. XANTARES showed once again how important he is for the team. If it wasn't for his help today the result would have been worse. MAJ3R was incredible on Vertigo by 37 frags and finishing as top fragger. It was a quite extra effort for an IGL.

This is an unexpectedly worse performance by Eternal Fire but they must have learned their lesson from their mistakes. The next matchup is even more difficult which is against Cloud9 tomorrow.

There isn't a big strength difference between Ajax and PSV now. They have started the season in the league very similarly.

The only difference is that Ajax are competing the Champions League while PSV are in the Europa League. This is an important one actually because this might cause Ajax to have some struggles in the league when they have a tight schedule. I assume that they wouldn't care less about the Champions League. But this scenario might be different for PSV. They would probably focus on the Eredivisie championship rather than the Europa League. This might help them have a wider gap with Ajax in time. But they also need to be consistent and make a difference in this period of time. They need to keep this up until facing Ajax after five more match weeks.
