1921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who creates there bitcoin wallet with real info? on: March 30, 2016, 07:15:54 AM
I know Coinbase and possibly most of them will need some legit id if you want to withdraw fiat or deposit fiat, I have not reached that level just yet but when I need to I will just have to follow their process, at the moment it is hard to survive purely on bitcoin.
1922  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchanges: their features and failures on: March 30, 2016, 07:14:23 AM
Bittrex is my main one and I am happy with the way it works, the only problem I have is when you are on your mobile it is ugly and quite irritating to use, this is something they would need to improve for me to be 100% happy.

Yobit is not the best exchange but it is good for entry level coins, they add pretty much everything and it is a good place to pick up cheap coins before they hit the larger exchanges.
1923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won a prize in Freebitco.in Lottery? If yes, how much? on: March 29, 2016, 08:56:20 PM
I too have wondered the same thing, I have used this site every now and again but have never got anything decent from it only small amounts.
1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you have the courage to do this? on: March 29, 2016, 08:48:42 PM
Too much, this is a crazy crazy thing to do and what if it was the opposite outcome.  I'm glad he won otherwise mentally I am sure he would be battling some form of depression, this is something I just could not do.
1925  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best place to get a free dog on: March 29, 2016, 08:43:54 PM
If you really want a dog you may be able to get one from hour local dog shelter, there are unwanted dogs and strays picked up but I'm not sure if they are expensive or not.

There is no mention of you offering bitcoin as a payment so maybe this should be moved out of this section.
1926  Economy / Gambling / Re: I turned 1 BTC into 41.5 BTC! Now I want to withdraw... on: March 29, 2016, 08:35:25 PM
Congratulations on your win, that's amazing and I hope you get your full winnings.  I have often wondered about the newer sites and if they are capable of paying out a huge win.
1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The New AltCoin: RoxoCoin on: March 29, 2016, 08:30:34 PM
If hou are serious with this coin at least put some effort into the op, if you are trying to scam I'm sure can see that the users on here are not so naieve, the majority anyway.
1928  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: March 29, 2016, 08:12:55 PM
I haven't had the opportunity to use coins to purchase anything physically but have used an atm and you get people looking and must be thinking what's this guy doing at that white box.

I did have to get a refund from a shop for something that I bought online, got to say it was super quick, the email confirmation said that I would have to wait up to 5 days for the refund to be processed for some banks, as I was reading the email I had already received the bitcoin, I had a little laugh to myself silently acknowledging the power of bitcoin.
1929  Economy / Services / Re: Need signature space for advertising ~ PAY 5$ WEEKLY on: March 29, 2016, 04:47:32 PM
You should check out the signature campaigns currently running and use them as a template and start your own proper campaign, listing how many users you need, how many posts per week and so on as others have mentioned.

Good luck with promoting your site.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invested $2000 in peercoin 11 months ago - Just realised i got a 110% ROI on: March 29, 2016, 04:28:41 PM
Yours is a good example of how long term investments can work out.  Most of the time I end up selling too soon and eiher making a small profit or just breaking even.

The most recent example is XVG, I picked up a few just before they rebranded when they were at 10 then I sold at 20 but if I waited a couple of more weeks they are now at 47 so although not strictly long term, this is an example of having zero patience and a bit of greed.
1931  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do I Get Bitcoin Fast? on: March 29, 2016, 02:13:48 PM
Without faucet or gambling, signature campaigns can be a good source of bitcoin if you are on here posting anyway then you can get paid for it.  These campaigns are quite scarce but if you can join one it would be worth your while and the higher your rank the more you can make.

You could also sell some goods here on the forum if you have anything you wish to sell.  The only other way really is to purchase some bitcoin with fiat and if you want to grow your stash you could try your hand at trading.
1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friend had a strange idea on: March 29, 2016, 01:12:01 PM
I think it might be illegal in places as others have said.  I have had many notes with random numbers on them which don't mean anything to me, very rarely would I look at a note close enough to be able to see if anything was written on it.

Chances are the people that would get your note would just think it strange that somebody has written all of these numbers on it and not actually know what they were for.

If you really wanted to do something like this an idea could be to print out some basic leaflets with a link to a bitcoin wallet and how to claim the BTC and you could drop these off in some shops or through people's doors but this would be a lot of work and you would be giving away a good bit of your bitcoin.
1933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paris-based Bitit launches to let you buy Bitcoins from 100,000 physical stores on: March 24, 2016, 05:36:29 PM
I'm surprised where it states that currently it can take the blockchain up to a week to process transactions, maybe I missed something but that doesn't sound right.  The idea itself is great, we do have ATMs spread about at the moment but their fees are quite high, if they can compete with lower to no fees this would a huge positive.

1934  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many "halving" threads will there be before we get to the halving? on: March 23, 2016, 09:58:57 PM
I will guess there will be at least a halving of 500 so my guess is 250 threads before the halving comes and goes.
1935  Economy / Gambling / Re: From faucet to smoething? on: March 23, 2016, 05:34:14 PM
Faucets are never going to give you a massive payout, when I first got into bitcoin I spent too much time trying to make something from them.  The one faucet I have stuck with every now and then is freebitco.in as you can get lucky and they have a lottery although I have never got that lucky.

There is a betting site which has recently started and they have a promotion to receive 5mbtc https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1399148.0. you could check them out.
1936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How China's Plans to Launch Its Own Currency Might Affect Bitcoin on: March 22, 2016, 05:54:51 PM
its not a blockchain currency..

if you actually read it.. its actually the same currency they have already. they are just trying to get rid of the paper side to be purely digital..

so dont confuse it to be a blockchain altcoin or anything relevant to cryptocurrencies. mainly the banks want to expand the debit card usage to the entire population so that they can do away with bank notes
Yes, and moving one step closer towards a cashless society.
1937  Economy / Speculation / Re: How will the Block halving impact the bitcoin price? on: March 22, 2016, 05:49:06 PM
Might go up, might go down, might hardly move.  It's going to dominate this forum as it gets closer that's for sure.  I would like to see a nice increase but not too crazy or it will come crashing back.
1938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: March 22, 2016, 05:40:42 PM
It would definitely be strange if everything went down, there is always the possibility of that happening even if it is a minute possibility.  Think it's already been said, bitcoin as we no it would be useless in it's value and we would have to use cash.

1939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WHICH BITCOIN WALLET IS THE MOST GOOD AND CONVINENCY on: March 22, 2016, 05:32:01 PM
Coinbase is decent but you do not have control of your keys, Mycellium is also another decent wallet and gives you more control, these are just a couple of the lighter wallets which are convenient.  For the ultimate piece of mind go for core, as long as your pc is secure you should be okay.
1940  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many signatory campaign can a member sign up for on: March 22, 2016, 03:13:13 PM
Just the one per account as there is not much space really anyway to be able to cram two into the space even if the campaigns did allow that.

You can as the others have said have a separate avatar if the campaign permits, but for signatures just the one at a time.
