1921  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Online Trading Basics, what you need to know before getting srarted!! on: June 01, 2023, 08:53:57 AM
Regular Monitoring: Stay actively engaged in monitoring your trades and the market conditions. Keep track of price movements, news releases, economic indicators, and any factors that may impact the assets you are trading. This helps you stay informed and make informed decisions based on current market dynamics.
It depends on the leverage you used and the amount of money you used too. As the money is small for you, the less you will want to monitor your trading activities, provided you also use a very low leverage. And this is how to make profit with a very tiny chance of losing. The bigger the leverage and the bigger the amount of money used, the higher the chance a trader would want to monitor his trading activities and the higher can be the loss.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: May 31, 2023, 01:17:35 PM
  • Preoccupation with gambling.
  • The urge to increase wagers to achieve the same level of excitement.
  • Having difficulty in controlling, cutting back, or stopping gambling despite several attempts.
  • Lying about gambling activities.
  • Borrowing money to gamble.
There is one more to add. An addicted gambler can sell his belongings and properties just for gambling. I remembered I sold my home theatre because of gambling and I lost the money very fast to gambling.

As gambling addiction can be a challenging issue that can have a very harmful impact on an individual's life. it is always recommended to find a professional helpb rather struggling with it. Do you agree with those behaviours? If not then you can suggest some, that can be added to this topic.
Professional help? Maybe. But I stopped addiction when I knew gambling is not meant for earning income. Gambling addiction is like madness, once someone discover that gambling can not help him or her in anyway than to make losses in addiction and seeing himself or herself to be addicted and knowing the future can not be good is enough to make such person quit the addiction. Professional help can be what could be needed for this, but not all the time. Someone close to him passing the reality to him can be helpful.
1923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator. Does it Work or Just Another Hype? on: May 31, 2023, 11:30:48 AM
Can you substantiate these claims? I've never heard of a campaign that asked users to wait a month for payments.
Transaction fees are low compared to what is paid weekly to subscribers, so no matter how expensive the fees are, I do not expect them to reach $100, and therefore most of them will not have a problem with the fees, no matter how high they are, and there are solutions such as CPFP by users or RBF by the campaign manager. Therefore, High fees is only problem for users who use it periodically for daily transactions that are less than the transaction fee or are repeated several times a day.
The outputs are many and some managers can send the coin from more than one address which adds to the transaction fee. When bitcoin mempool was above 300 sat/vbyte, campaign managers complained, they use high fee and the transaction took time to confirmed after paying more than $100 or $200. If there is any need, I can look for some transactions like that.

Example of a campaign that asked their participants about what to do is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5451232.msg62224465#msg62224465

What can help is for the campaign manager to use either RBF or CPFP like Bestchange did. Participant in a campaign can not use CPFP because the fee will take all the coin send to the participant, it may even require more fee because the transaction weight of such transaction is huge. In one of Royse777 campaign, SFR10 did something like that using his his own coin paid to do CPFP.

1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: May 31, 2023, 09:02:39 AM
Anyone that consider gambling as a way to make money, the person will only lose and lose and lose until he finally realise that he has become an addict. Addiction is very bad because it will cause serious depression there is several loss of money.

Gambling is good if you discipline yourself and follow the ways of not using more than what you can afford to lose to gamble. But if it is otherwise, it is bad.
1925  Economy / Service Discussion / Bybit is the next to exit Canada, stating regulatory reason on: May 30, 2023, 09:08:03 PM
You can read the announcement directly from Bybit: https://announcements.bybit.com/article/notice-on-exit-from-canadian-market-bltc1bfb8746d077fda/#

It was OKX, Binance was the next, now Bybit stopping to provide its products and services to Canadians. With what I am thinking, it is possible that more exchanges will leave Canada soon because of the regulatory development which we have talked about before.
1926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the most significant trading sacrifice you believe you have made? on: May 30, 2023, 04:01:06 PM
If you have been full-time into trading for one to three years, what has been the greatest sacrifice you've made to become a successful trader? And did it pay off?
I have no sacrifice to make than to reduce the time I am using to trade, to reduce the leverage that I am using and to be very patient and discipline myself.

Someone I know who a seven-figure trader is now made the sacrifice of moving into a shared apartment with a friend just to save money.
Save money for what? If he is a good trader, he will not do that, he can even prefer to rent a better apartment if trading is profitable for him.

Another person, who had previously started a logistics company, sold off his trucks and used the money for trading.
Are you serious? That is bad. Trading is not very easy like some people think it is. Some people will even be gambling with it and think they are trading and later lose.

If you want to trade, do not let it disturb your work. Do not sell your belongings because of trading too. Trading is risky.
1927  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 30, 2023, 03:45:48 PM
Some punters are from countries that do not legalise gambling. Such punters do not want KYC.

As we know, many gambling sites have Kyc requirements when making withdrawals. Some people may not have a problem with this condition, but some people think differently about doing Kyc. Some people refuse to fill in their Kyc data for fear of being misused. That's a natural thing, but is the worry too much?
Some people are rich and are afraid of KYC anywhere they are online. But gambling should be done with low amount of money that should make KYC no bothering.

Kyc actually has a function to prevent dangerous actions, such as money laundering. In addition, Kyc can also protect customers from account breakers
But with KYC, there are still people laundering money.

In general, the more KYC you do, it is more likely that you will become a victim at some point. KYC has its purpose and there is no doubt about that, but it is definitely a double-edged sword.
But with KYC, there are still online criminals.

But generally speaking, KYC should be avoided if possible. KYC is dangerous for bitcoin and crypto users.

I only wait to see how your prediction would be. It is more than a day now, going to two days when you posted this. The price of Bitcoin when you posted this was around $27600

Let us say Bitcoin price was at $27600

If you go short with 20x leverage, the estimated liquidation price would be 28980
If you go short with 30x leverage, the estimated liquidation price would be 28520

Bitcoin went to $28448 yesterday.

Can you see how close you are to liquidation at 30x while 20x is not that good too. Learn not to use more than 5x leverage.
1929  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: static or mempool for withdrawal on: May 30, 2023, 12:01:33 PM
In Electrum wallet, mempool is the best option if we need to choose one default option for transaction fee estimation.
The best is to use your own node mempool like Bitcoin Core to set the fee. If you do not use full node wallet, you can check the mempool on a third party site.

https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC%20(default%20mempool),24h,weight

You should not rely on the fee a wallet is estimating for you, check the mempool for best fee to use.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 29, 2023, 04:37:03 PM
When I was gambling for long before, like throughout the whole day, I may be winning but I do ended the day in loss. If I am losing, I continue to play until I lose more.

My pattern now is that I gamble for a short time. If I lose at first, I use martingale. If I lose second, I use martingale until third time. If I lose, I quite for the day. Let us say my first bet is $0.5, second bet $2 and the third bet to be $5. All on 3 odds bet.

I wish my target to be the third bet. But if I continue to win, I enjoy it for a short time and I quit. Anytime I fail before the short time end to the point that I lose three times at once, I quit for that day.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 29, 2023, 03:34:37 PM
This is not a question that can just be answered. The client also need to ask the specialist or therapist about what is needed to be done for people that want to undergo hypnosis. According to Oxford, this is what I found about it online:

Quote
the induction of a state of consciousness in which a person apparently loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestion or direction. Its use in therapy, typically to recover suppressed memories or to allow modification of behaviour, has been revived but is still controversial.

How is the person going to apparently lose power of voluntary action? Through drug or what? Or just through psychotherapy? If drug is involved, how safe it is to health?

I have been addicted before in gambling. What I noticed was that I have no way of earning and that makes me to depend on gambling. But gambling thought me lesson to never see gambling as a way of making money.
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stop gambling addiction? on: May 29, 2023, 12:38:48 PM
Not good to be greedy, what led to addiction is greed. Another thing is that punters have to be disciplined, if a punter do not discipline himself or herself, life or gambling will disciplin the punter.

An gambling addict should realise that gambling is not for making money. What led them to be addicted is that they thought they can be making money from gambling but gambling is not like that.

Punters should set their weekly budget which should not be more than 5% of the money they are earning weekly. Any gambler that is gambling with more than 5% of his or her weekly earning is greedy and can become addicted.
1933  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: May 29, 2023, 10:47:33 AM
I do not think moderator should move your announcement thread from gambling to altcoins board, but it is because no true bitcoin wallet is Web3. Web3 wallets like Metamawk, Trustwallet Coinbase wallet and many others are connecting to altcoins Web3. There is nothing about Web3 that is related to bitcoin.

Web2 are not bad either. I use many of them and they are good. But I wish moderator to have left Web3 gambling site official thread on gambling board too, but bitcoin not being Web3 would be the valid reason it was moved.
1934  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: May 29, 2023, 08:28:14 AM
I doubt if the number that would be employed to do the job through the use of an AI bot can be equated to the number of employed staff that were mainly doing the job before the involvement of AI bot.  It's like this, every businessman wants to cut down expenses in workplace and maximize profits as much as possible, so if for a task that 10 workers are assigned to execute, and it's discovered that an AI bot can perform that task just with use of 5 workers then it's obvious that the other 5 workers has just turned unemployed cause they would be layed off to cut expenses.
AI might reduce employment, but this thread is specifically about the existing ChatGPT as of today's world. But generally speaking, AI companies will increase too and more people will be employed.

I could remember that Elon Musk had already spoke about it because that people anmrr undermining the capability of artificial intelligence calling for it regulations. It was developed for good reasons but that can be altered and use to commit crimes.
Computers are created for good reasons, but most people that are exposed to cyber attack today are through the internet using devices like laptop and phone. Common knives were created for good reasons but it can be used to kill. Guns and other things are created for good reasons too. There is nothing good in life that can not be used negatively too. AI could be a threat tomorrow.
1935  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I've lost $10 when depositing to OKX (formerly OKEx) on: May 29, 2023, 08:19:01 AM
Where did you send the the transactions from?
If you made the transaction which is still unconfirmed from a non-custodial wallet and it has been flagged as RBF, you can replace it with a new one paying higher fee and send the fund to yourself.
What would most probably happened is that he sent the money to OKX exchange, the money not confirmed, waited and the money later got confirmed but not able to see the money on his account on OKX exchange. What I am saying is that the transaction was likely to have been confirmed before he came to make this thread.
1936  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: May 29, 2023, 07:48:28 AM
so there is a lot of doubt in everyone's mind about this technology that this technology will destroy the job market or not?
I do not think ChatGPT will increase unemployment. The bot is used to get job more easier and faster. It is just like the Google assistant, Siri, Bixby or Alexa which are also AI, although ChatGPT is more. I do not see a way it can lead to unemployment than to lead to more employment becusee this AI companies too are employing workers.

But the problem are some bots that may be created that can lead to unemployment, this kind of bots will be able to handle the task that people to be employ will render. ChatGPT is somehow among but I do not think it would be to the extent that it would lead to higher employment. The kind of bot that will lead to employment are the ones that will do the work of human without the need of human, example is the bot created for the work if police, security, used in industries and companies to replace humans.

If this technology is used in the workplace, many people will lose their jobs.
I think even if it is used in a work places, it would be used by people that are employed.
1937  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I've lost $10 when depositing to OKX (formerly OKEx) on: May 28, 2023, 06:39:59 PM
It is clearly stated if you click on the deposit address, but it is one of the ways to scam in my opinion:

The mistake people that are using exchanges are doing is that they did not think that it is not their own keys. If you want to deposit on exchangs, make sure you check the address because it could have been changed. Make sure you also check the minimum deposit because it could have been changed too.

After this case I am considering to switch over to another exchange as I think what they've done is not fair. Anyone still using OKX should take caution about this new minimum deposit amount as once it happens they are not willing to help you to get your funds back (I have tried to contact their support).
This can happen on all other exchanges. It is not your keys.

This is just one of the ways exchanges are scamming people. Not only on OKX. If it is your noncustodial wallet, you will see your money even if you send less than that amount.
1938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Failed DCA Strategy When Buying Bitcoin on: May 28, 2023, 06:30:53 PM
The mistake is that he did not knew that 2022 will never be a good year for bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies, but if you go back to history, we know that history will juxtapose into the future which was what happened again in 2022 just like 2018 when the price of all coins crashed.

He continued DCA at the wrong time and sold at the wrong time when he supposed to buy more or wait. Supposing he is able to wait again till 2024/2025 he would have gained massively.

In anything we are investing on, we should learn more about it before investing at all.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: May 28, 2023, 10:29:11 AM
The article suggested that one should Develop a style and stick with it.  For those who do not know how the list below can give you a hint.
  • Choose a game
  • Create a logical system
  • Record the data of the bet
  • Try the demo of the game to practice
  • Do bankroll management
  • Make sure that you have enough money for gambling
  • Put a limit to losses
  • Listen to the advice of the winning pros
  • Focus on our bet
  • Learn to accept losses
  • Know when to quit.
Why should I record the data of a bet? It is not necessary for me.

I do not try demo, I go for the ones that I know how to play. I mean the ones that I know and they are not hard to play. There are plenty games on casinos.

Why should I make sure I have enough money for gambling when I am only using very tiny amount to gamble. Bank roll management is enough which is not hard. Just take 5% or less of your weekly income to gamble weekly. Also putting a limit to loss.

I do not have to focus on my bet. If I lose I lose. If I win I win. I can afford the lose once it is not beyond my 5% of my weekly income. It is not even getting to 5% that I use to use weekly, usually I use around 2 to 3% weekly to gamble.

What I see useful are:
Do bankroll management
Learn to accept losses
Know when to quit

1940  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: May 28, 2023, 10:17:36 AM
Back to the main subject, I have a question: can anyone give a clear definition of what is exactly a web3 casino? I read all the of the above replies and it seems that we are arguing about something that we don't even know what it is!
As per my experience, any casino which allows logging in via metamask or any other wallet that supports walletconnect, claims it is a web3 casino. Is this right?
To my understanding, if you are able to connect to a gambling website and gamble there without the need for registration and login, but connecting using a noncustodial wallet, that is a web3 casino. Just like the matamask wallet that you talked about.

Web3 is decentralization, it takes power and authority from single entities and distribute it to the entire  people of this world - there are several business that claim to be decentralized, but in real sense, they are not, they are probably partially decentralized.
What supposed to be web3 has been changed by people's manipulations. Web3 supposed to be decentralised but according to how it was created and what people turned it to, there is possibility that it would be centralised in the future. Also almost all the platforms like the so-called smart contract decentralised exchanges are not completely decentralised.
