1921  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 11, 2021, 08:59:26 AM
I have seen this kind of argument that just because the price of a commodity is high means that it is a great investment.
Personally, I don’t think that having a high price is what makes an asset to be worth investing in. Before you start investing in any asset you have to face the fall understand what it is all about and no everything about it before you can consider it. The price doesn’t really matter that much because the developers can decide to just start from any price for the asset.

An asset can be worth less than $1 maybe due to the supply, and still be much better than an asset that has a price of over $100and even $1000. Take the cryptocurrency market as an example, you will see some coins that has a high price but a lesser market cap than those with a lesser price.
The good value of an asset is not determined by the price. Yes, I do understand that the price can play a part as well, though it depends, you have to calculate it to know whether it is really worth looking at the price or not. The supply is one thing that plays an important role in the price of a cryptocurrency, though you have to know how many supply that the market has, and also judge whether the market is worth how much you are paying for it. There are some coins you will see that are not really worth anything much, but their prices will be very high. So, you just look at the cryptocurrency and evaluate it.
1922  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the role of fiat currency disappear against crypto. on: October 11, 2021, 07:08:03 AM
Currently, there are many usd-based stablecoins such as, usdt, busd, usdc and maybe many others.  To be honest, I used to think that crypto would completely eliminate the usd's dominance of the world economy but I was wrong, it turns out that usd is now evolving to crypto (stablecoins).  What do you think, whether in the future bitcoin or other crypto can replace the role of currency in each country and leave fiat currencies such as usd, euro, yuan and others.
Must Fiat currencies stop to exist before you know that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are doing well? Fiat currencies will continue to stay, and there will also be crypto currency. None of them has to be stopped come it's just whatever you want to make use of you simply should be going for that.

Yes; there are now USDT, and other stable coins that are everywhere in the market. They’re all tagged to the US dollar, and their prices are stable, but these are cryptocurrencies and they are not U.S. dollar except that they are all tagged to it.

Statistically, you're not more or less likely to hit higher rewards per spin if you're rolling one at a time or 100 at a time.  The odds per spin are the same, however obviously spinning 100 at a time gives you 100x greater odds of hitting a higher reward than if you were only spinning one time.  That doesn't make it more likely to hit it compared to spinning one time each over 100 days though.  In the long run the odds are exactly the same.
You explained it a lot better than anyone else can. If you have 100 spins versus 1 spins, with each spin you get the same "possibility" so each spin has the same low chance to hit a rolex for example, or still low chance for most other things aside from 50 satoshi or 50 RP. However when you have 100 spins then the odds of things like (1 in 100) suddenly becomes bigger because you are spinning that much.

In the end you could get 100 spins of 50 RP, or you could end up with 100 spins of rolex, they are all possible, yes 100 rolex is probably the most "near impossible" thing in the world and yet it is still not "technically impossible" which is what we should be looking for.
1924  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL] What to expect from Bitcoin in 2022? on: October 10, 2021, 08:34:19 AM
- Bitcoin price will reach a new ATH by the end of the year, at ~$ 84 000 - $100 000;
What is going to happen in 2022 will be highly dependent on where are are going to end 2021. The probable endings of 2021 for bitcoin market are $120k or $190k or $380k. These are based on 10x growth (and repeating of history) in 4 year cycle. (If you consider 10k was the right growth in 2017 then $100k will be the ATH in 2021 because some speculators argue 10k to 19k in December 2017 was a bubble and need to ignore such numbers).

- This year there will be no more growth and bitcoin will continue to fall for a long time until it drops to the past ATH (at $20 000), after which the price will consolidate and the market will begin the assault on ATH with renewed vigor;
If there will be no more growth in 2021 then we will definitely have a new ATH in 2022. But, I do not prefer to break 4 year cycle of bitcoin for any political influences but bitcoin is known for defeating all negative news and to grow on its own potential hence lesser possibilities to have bear markets here after.

- Now there will be a slight correction, then the market will recover and in 2022 there will be a new ATH.
If 10x growth will not happen this year then which might be due to correction markets here after and then we may have a new ATH in 2022.
1925  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you explain the October pump? on: October 10, 2021, 07:23:38 AM
Everyone was blaming September for the dip like it was a dip holiday and just waiting for October for the pump. And as soon as October came - and I mean literally, like the first day of October - prices started to go up and it started to pump. How??
Because, market sentiment. When everyone is expecting a pump then FOMO comes to play. When people are getting used to see something for more than one time then they will expect the same to be repeating and when more than 50% of people start believing into that, then that will happen for sure.

For example, bitcoin's 4 year long cycle and after having 10x growth are that kind of things which are believed by more than 50% of bitcoiners hence market sentiment is adopting it. Same thing applies to 70% downfall after the 10x growth as well become part of market sentiment for similar reasons.
1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: October 10, 2021, 05:51:29 AM
The only thing needed for the purity of the experiment is a large enough bankroll for, say, 100 million bets. With that provided, I expect the losses that will be very close to the house edge.
Technically what you are saying is perfect but what we are experiencing in real time is complete different than what we are supposed to have as per mathematical calculations against house-edge. This is the reason large bankroll is something we cannot have as a weapon to conquer the house. Same things are also applicable for advanced settings as well. Because, in my experiences, any such in-built and third party advanced setting brought nothing new in the end. Always got busted in the end but might be not in same time duration which might be caused by those advanced settings.

Yeah, extra functionalities on dice gambling may help gamblers to extend their run for the same bankroll but certainly not for making different results than what we usually do get. Unfortunately naive gamblers to get deceived to such extra settings by believing into promotions and other gambler's recommendations.
1927  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Watford FC Main Sponsor - UFC Official Betting Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 09, 2021, 09:48:10 PM
I have been playing Stake for a long time and always thought you can only see your last 10 bets that are listed under the "My Bets" options ... but I won a nice Wild Toro II bet today and it was not there, because I did something whilst it was on "auto bet" and I missed it.

I then started to search for more options and I found the hidden gem under the "transactions" options and then "Bets" .... scroll down and you can go to all your previous bets.  Wink  (Hint - Do not go through them too fast or it will error out)

I just thought I would share this gem with you... there might just be more people like me.. who missed that.  Wink
Holy Moly!! I did not know this, thank you for finding it. I never even imagined to ask where I can find them because I just assumed it was gone to some database, like cold storage type of deal I do not see it here but if there was a complaint they could ravage through the database and find it type of deal. I did not know it was there to be seen anytime I want.

This makes things particularly interesting now because I do not check it when I gamble, I just put autobet on dice for example sometimes and I do not check it all the time, this way I get to see what I did and how I did it and so forth, it is definitely a good data to check and I am very thankful to you for bringing it up.
1928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC hit 70k$ this Christmas? on: October 09, 2021, 09:09:25 PM
If the bitcoin price can not hit $70k this Christmas, that will not be a problem as bitcoin will have another time to lift the price and start another rally.
But I guess many people want to see the bitcoin price hit that price before the end of this year, so hopefully, that will happen in the next 2 months later.
Meanwhile, the price now seems stagnant and not moving higher or lower, giving us more time to accumulate more bitcoin before the price starts increasing.
If we already bought at the low price before and did not want to do anything, we can leave the market for a while and back in the next month or set the alarm to sound if the price increases or decreases for more.
I guess no price is a problem in the bitcoin world, hitting 40k, hitting 70k, nothing is a big deal because if you are a long term trader then you are making profit in the long term anyway, it is rare to see bitcoin not profiting when you hold it for few years. However that also doesn't change the fact that there are short term traders, and if it doesn't reach highs constantly then it will become a big problem as well for those people.

I am not saying it is a good idea to make your decisions and profits based on very short term bitcoin movements, but there are those people out there. So, it is only a problem if you could hold your coins for a few months, not if you do it daily or not if you are long term investor.
1929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: October 09, 2021, 08:31:11 PM
there is no chart that's exactly the same. The trends and patterns might be different which is why to succeed in trading one must have the skill set to make the market analysis from scratch and when required. Yes, there are similarities but also differences, and it is these differences that can sometimes be costly, so much so that when trading with large capital can be significant.

Not everyone can be an expert at putting together these trends and predictions but with enough practice, a good trader should be able to catch their wave.
I agree, they're all different because of the trends and they're changing most of the time.

Understanding the market itself through these factors will give you the benefit and advantage towards the market. But it takes a lot of experience before you can have that almost accurate analysis.
That experience is also something that needs to get refreshed as well, which is one of the hardest things people will have to do. You study hard to learn something, you get to a point where you feel like you can test it, then you start working on it a lot and then you become good at it and you feel like that's it.

However that's not it, you do not just become good and stay good forever, even though you made so much money from being good, then you will start to be not as good, first it will not be obvious and then it will look like it is just a bad stretch but soon you will realize that you need to keep on working on your craft and keep on trying to get better. In order to do this, even while you are great and making bunch of profit, you will still need to read and learn and become even better, so that when things change, you wouldn't be left behind.
1930  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin a threat to China? Is China deliberately imposing sanction on BTC on: October 09, 2021, 08:00:09 PM
I am not sure how many china threads we have but I have said this before too. China only will get into those things which are very important to them and their nation. They just want to develop their nation (or may be few billionaires) and get rid off those things which they are unable to control. As of now they understand very well that bitcoin is no place for the China to enter even after they had the biggest operation of mining on their soil. Unfortunately it had negative effect on them and they had to take it down due to blackouts. The later also seems to be conspiracy to me so that no one can laugh on them. Lolz. Moreover if they impose it or not does not matter, BTC is still healthy and with the current bull I see BTC already shown it's power.  Cheesy
No other nation controls bitcoin too, can't they realize that. When we are talking about USD getting more famous, I totally understand them not wanting something like that, when it is euro or pound or whatever I get it. However, bitcoin doesn't belong to anyone, so it wouldn't really hurt them.

It is really weird how tough they are ruling that nation, I wouldn't even imagine living in a nation like that, even if it was a good nation to live in which it isn't, having your freedoms blocked as bad as ccp blocks Chinese rights, it would be horrible even if I was a billionaire, which Jack Ma proved that it is not even good to be a billionaire there. All in all crypto is far better without them, and I am happy that they keep doing FUDs in their nation, let Chinese people be behind on crypto.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No one talks about Sic Bo!? on: October 09, 2021, 05:33:45 PM
You can find this game in many places, it's not like some new game, but still looks like this game is under the radar... sort of speaking! I think this game is crazy as it can be! This is one of the games I would play "live" if I have the chance!
Available in many places? I do not think so. Because, all of my favorite crypto casinos are not offering this game for sure. This game sounds and looks like a chinese based one hence probably you are referring all the chinese casinos and not the most famous crypto gambling houses that are being promoted on all the breadth and width of this forum.

I believe you must include the crypto places where we can find this game. So that people like myself who are all finding this game as all new, may go and check themselves and then may start discussing here with more appropriate personal opinions.
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $2.7 billion merger - Bally's Corp and Gamesys - one of the biggest in gambling on: October 09, 2021, 07:21:19 AM
Bally's corporation was a land based casino group. But now after the merger of Gamesys, they are going to bring omni channel gambling platform including a grand online casino.

News reference: https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/ballys-corporation-finalizes-merger-with-gamesys-group/

While I don't find any mention of cryptocurrency based casino in this news. But in US market, where gambling is super regulated, do you all think that it will pave ways for innovation and possibly cryptocurrency based casinos?
The news itself is a good one but I am not entirely sure how it is a merger if Bally's corp "paid" gamesys? I mean shouldn't that be acquisition instead of a merger then? Maybe I am missing some details but it certainly looks like one bought the other if it was payment.

Normally merger happens like this; there is a big company, and that company pays the other smaller company a lot of their shares, so the smaller company becomes a minority owner. Facebook controls most of social media but even they had to pay with their shares, it was more of a merger even in that case which we all know there is no board seat so it is not fully merger but even they paid with shares. So, maybe I am missing some details of this deal.
1933  Economy / Economics / Re: Is budgeting still effective in tackling the need to constantly withdraw money? on: October 08, 2021, 09:31:15 PM
I might also add that budgeting on its own is a very useful life skill,,, something they should teach you in school or at home. Most times I look back at my fellow housemates and workmates after uni and going to work living independently for the first time. Most did not know budgeting and just randomly figured stuff out and so ended up in debt every month before salary. Salary comes in and immediately huge chunk cut off for credit card.

This is not just good for Bitcoin holding,,, good for getting by in life financially.
Nothing related to finance would ever be thought in schools. Schools are places where workers are raised, the better the school the better the worker. If they teach kids the value of money and how they could save or how they could get debt to grow bigger and so forth then they would also allow people to realize that the rich are way too rich as well.

Having 200 billion dollar worth is not something you can do these days without doing something shady, things like letting your workers not even have time to go to bathroom, or even have people die in your warehouses, crushing unions, and all those things.

This is why I believe that there is going to be no financial education at all in order to keep the kids ignorant about the true meaning of money, learning what it is would make those kids grow up resenting the real wealthy, the ones that are like only 2000 in a nation of 400+ million so not really against everyone, but those 2000 people will do their best and spend more to keep it as it is.
1934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When ETH GAS Price will stable? We paid 33.74$ GAS price for 10$ token transfer. on: October 08, 2021, 08:34:19 PM
I am wondering why ETH is still so popular and gaining value every time and every quarter tbh. With that statement I also like to point out that ETH is widely used over different gambling sites and commercial transaction due to the fact that it’s unlimited and supply is huge.

I see so many threads regarding its fees and still ETH is always on top of everything. Not sure if we discussed this earlier but I see that ETH has got some good shots at everyone.

They said ETH 2.0 will be new era and here we are still fighting for the lower fees.
ETH is the one with the biggest ecosystem which is why it also gets the most money as well. There are billions of dollars in ETH right now, people hold literally tens of billions of dollars worth ETH right now. So when you have the option of simply holding your ETH in your wallet and do nothing, or invest it into the ecosystem and make it bigger, then you pick investment.

At least most people do that. Not like other chains do not get the same thing, but they are simply not as big as ETH because ETH is second ranked. Believe me if Bitcoin blockchain had this kind of setup, they would have gotten a lot more investment than ETH as well. So, it is about providing something to the world, if investors prefer it then they would be doing something good, if they do not prefer it then they will just not use it but there is too much money involved to ignore it.
1935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 08, 2021, 12:55:33 PM
I don't enjoy these matches live but I bet on the matches, so that I collect all the news. In today's match, Central Punjab batted first and gave a huge target of 195 runs. But they are not in the safe zone. Because Northern has collected 64 runs in 7 overs. Ali Imran and Haidar Ali have formed a good partnership. If Central Punjab's bowlars can't catch their wickets, Central Punjab will lose today.
I usually bet on IPL matches based on teams' previous performances but when you are nearing the end of league stage, what lesson I have learned is, staying away from betting must be a better option. Recently I bet on CSK against SRH as SRH was not doing well in this particular edition of IPL still SRH won the table topper which eventually got a loss in the end.

Today, I guess MI and DC might win but anything could happen on these matches as UAE pitches are behaving too ridiculous. Batting for first 7 to 10 overs seems too hard but later on pitches are seeming too batting friendly. Hence, toss is playing big role on deciding our betting profits in the end Shocked.
1936  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🐒 ApeSwap partnership on: October 08, 2021, 11:53:40 AM
I support this discussion on what to do better - to burn tokens or make a buyback.
I am also a supporter burn tokens.  By the way, even Ethereum is now using the method of burning 🙂.
I agree that the buyback will most likely negatively affect the price of the token, and will not bring an advertising effect.  And of course, 2 years in the gambling market, and even with powerful support, this is an excellent proof of the company's solvency and reliability.
I guess it is obvious that both of that would be a big help, after all why would we want something like a huge omitting of tokens go to waste, we would want that. However how to do it would be a very important thing as well. What we need to realize is that tokens do not come cheap even for the team, burning millions of dollars worth tokens if they could is something they would have to consider, sure smaller amounts could be easier but it would also not have a big impact.

So, we are technically asking the whole ecosystem to destroy money that would mean something to them, either from project owners, or community or whoever. It is not a basic decision to make, it is quite difficult.
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 08, 2021, 10:40:22 AM
If you are smart enough then you should know that it is a marketing strategy to get more customers. Another question I want to ask from you which gambling website do you think is a saint?
So, you mean as part of marketing strategy they can lie to us? Then how we could expect them to remain honest in all other aspects? I am not ready to agree with the argument of "for the sake of marketing" because it is not convincing me to keep believing into a services for my hard earned cryptos. I just need a fair platform which should not lie for any reasons.

As long as we do not take their play seriously, we will not get deeper into the gambling or even stay away from that and decide to learn from the other resources.
We need to think with the aspect of basic human psychology. When gambler is making huge profits on a live stream from a reputed casino then what will you do? You might get temped and then you may start copying his all strategies and tactics. So, most gambler will start taking such things seriously but time frame may differ gambler to gambler.

Sorry for the delay in our return, but we got some GREAT news!!!  FINALLY we will be launching some markets on BitcoinTalks!!!  Shocked

Stay tuned!  Cool
Even if you do not have any news at all, it is always wise to keep coming back here and writing some stuff here and there to show you are active and online. This is not something in regards to you, there has been too many places that just went AWOL and then people couldn't reach them and got scammed, so that is why the crypto gamblers are a little worried whenever they do not hear from a  casino.

Once again, do not  fear that it is anything related to you, you are great, and I am sure you have no intentions of like that even when you are inactive, however it is just the state of the crypto gambling world and that is why just going along with it would help out a lot to us.
1939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in the tokens of the Solana ecosystem on: October 07, 2021, 06:34:05 PM
Raydium is a popular DEX and Star Atlas is a strategy game. these two projects look very promising. don't know about others but you should carefully choose new projects for investment because there is always risk of scam.
I have investment in both of them and I believe they are going to be great. I do not play Atlas at all but I do have tokens, and I do not even use raydium defi but I am just staking there (which is very low return but still something). This allows me to be basically fully ready if SOL grows even bigger, or at least keeps the growth it has and doesn't go down.

As long as SOL doesn't start to suck, people will realize that it is something great to invest into the ecosystem as well. Both of these projects will be valuable and go up, things that do not lose interest in crypto end up being higher and higher price, and this is what Ray and Atlas and SOL will do together I believe.
1940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana was down for several hours on: October 07, 2021, 05:42:50 PM
I read too much about this and after checking few charts and analysis I personally fell in love with Solana because it's really decentralized. New buying interest is again seen on Technical charts of Solana, and it looks good, even too much hype about this downtime but team done good job and now all things working smoothly. Solana blockchain is still very young, and it's in beta version, we all know that many difficulties will happen in start and growth.

Until now, we have too many talk about price and other things, but I feel members need to do some own search and then do any decision about their investment, never go on hype.
Ever since SOL team decided that they could stop the blockchain anytime they want and fix stuff and then revert the wrong stuff and then restart the whole blockchain, I am out.

You can read about it a lot more here; https://dailycoin.com/solana-comes-to-a-halt-ethereum-killer-killing-itself/ and you can see that it was stopped by the team itself, which is peak centralization and there is no situation in the world that could make me invest into something that is this hardly centralized. Even BNB is basically all the centralized things you can imagine but they never stop it.

If you want to invest, which you should if you want to, then you should do it knowing that they could literally take money out of your wallet too if they want to, or they could stop it anytime they want or revert it or change anything they want at anytime these are all risks. Know the risks before you get in, if you are fine with them then many people who were fine with it made money when it skyrocketed recently so I hope you do make profit too.
