Arsenal aren't the best in the league so far, but they are performing better, but I must admit that they know how to search for points, and it has given them a swift edge over others, I  blame it on the top teams who have been napping all along.
Arsenal are best based on points and game results, but their chances are no better than Manchester City and some of the other top teams. Somehow Arsenal didn't seem to convince many people how they ended the season but as far as the season goes then I think Arsenal is still the most consistent team out of all the other teams.

I find it offensive when people pretend that Arsenal will disappoint their supporters in the end because they believe that is how they perform last year. However, they fail to recognize that this year has been exceptional for Arsenal, they performed admirably this season, last season was always finding a way to win games only to lose or draw the following and not in comparison to this one. I can't recall the last time they had a linear winning streak.

Quote
Arteta has really given a lot of improvement to Arsenal's quality and mentality since last season, obviously this season they have improved well with only 1 loss, 1 draw in 14 Premier League games. The weekend, Arsenal will away match to Wolves and that will get them back in the party.

If not that Manchester City drawn two matches and loss 1, they would have been at the top because they have both conceded same numbers of goal but Manchester City has more number of score goals, that’s where they flop and since then Arsenal has been trying to avoid similar mistake. Another slight mistake from Arsenal would give Manchester City to over take them and trust me, when they do, Guardiola would be sitting there, only grace would take Arsenal back to that top 1
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: November 08, 2022, 01:58:19 PM
These are two gambling stories that are very interesting

Story 1
A man stole his girlfriend's 10k to place a bet. He won 100 million and returned 10k to his girlfriend. His girlfriend is furious and demands 40 million dollars.

What kills women faster than money on earth doesn't exist, she even had the courage to threaten to leave the man if he refuse to give her 40M, had it been that game didn't go as predicted, the lady would have wanted to kill the guy for using her money to play the game. The lady could sue him if she want but I'm confident that she would lose the case in a single court visit because there was no agreement on an amount and 5M is a good amount to appreciate her for her kind gesture for allowing him to use the money for 2 days, at least he admitted he took the money. Cool

Quote

Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

*Read the different opinions of people here

First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?

The Boss has no right over the boy's money but an amount could be given as an appreciation, I can see some comments that are bitter, they want to suck and reap the boy for using money that he could have lied of been lost and the highest the boss would do is, he may demand for his money. We should learn to appreciate when people give from something we aren't entitled to because here, it wasn't the boss that played that game.
1923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: November 08, 2022, 01:38:59 PM
Ancelloti has been asked if he will sign some players in the winter and his answer was no, that their squad has enough players, i do not know if this defeat and their recent bad form will make him and the owners change their mind and make signings in January, i also feel they should buy another striker and sell Eden Hazard, he is not useful to the team. Xavi and his players will be delighted with Rayo vallecano's win, it has taken them to the top of the table and a two point gap, it is still open but Barcelona need this after going through some hard time with their elimination from the champions league, this will increase their confidence in the La Liga.

I think Ancelloti is very selective when it comes to player shuffles, he hardly substitutes except in difficult times, but if you ask me if Real Madrid will need new players in the upcoming transfer window, I will say No because they are doing fine, though Benzema's absence has been affecting them, he is one of the best strikers they have currently.
Honestly, Hazard is one of the worst players who has been milking wages in Real Madrid, he had his moment during the first season, but I don't think they need a guy like him who is always benched and of no service to the squad right now, they should sell him to New Castle that has demanding if the offer is mouth watering.
1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 08, 2022, 01:11:25 PM
Potter needs time and I don't find the criticisms made about him right at the moment. The rivals Arsenal and Arsenal are the best team in the league. They brought the game well until the 63rd minute, but they conceded the goal. Even if there is a different defeat in this match, I still do not find it right to criticize Potter. We need to look at his performance in the upcoming matches. We criticize the team if it can't get it together.

Potter already had a good time, he had demonstrated to Chelsea his drive, commitment, and what a coach can bring to a team and not just in the Premier League, he and his team are still competing in the Champions League at this point, in the round of 16, however, their recent efforts have been fruitless, with nothing to indicate that they are still in the making to top 4 before the end of the season. They need to inject more pressure in their next matches, but I fear they may risk losing their next match against Manchester City, who will present them with yet another difficult test.

Arsenal aren't the best in the league so far, but they are performing better, but I must admit that they know how to search for points, and it has given them a swift edge over others, I  blame it on the top teams who have been napping all along.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 07, 2022, 11:01:20 PM
Online casinos and sports betting platforms are big businesses like we all know, and currently considering the economic situation of things around the world many businesses are affected and have been taking measures to cut costs in terms of reducing staff, taking loans etc to still be able to sustain operations. How do you think online casinos and sports betting platforms are adjusting to manage the situation?

No matter the situation of the economy, there are some jobs that wouldn't be able to eliminate from the equation since there is money involved. Look at online gambling where they need to have a steady developer who is supposed to handle technical issues, the customer care support must be there to attend to customers, the team responsible for withdrawals and the group responsible for operations, so in conclusion, no matter the situation of the economy, gambling will remain intact as long as the company is operating great.

On the other hand, when they see you as a customer who regularly played and they don't see you again because you lack some change to stake a game, the casino usually encourages their players with a bonus to come back and try their luck, casinos know best how to keep their business running without interruption of some sort.

Chelsea having one of their worst season this time around with sacking good coach like Thomas Tuchel, even though he was not doing well, he needed time to bounced back to Winning ways. Arsenal won them with ease because the blues never put up a fight at Stamford bridge. I think there's still time for Graham Potter to make things right with the team because they're conceding much goals. Last weekend was Brighton which they lost 4-1, now is arsenal which they also 1 nil. Fans are not longer cheering as they having doubts about the new boss.

Chelsea match against Arsenal wasn't easy, because after Saka helped them out in the second half, all of their attempts to get another goal was difficult until the end, but that doesn't make the blues a weak team, they tried their best, some Chelsea players were lacking in their positions.
Tuchel's dismissal was more of an inside political game than the performance of Chelsea, in my opinion. When Graham Potter first joined Chelsea, he was killing it and winning matches, but it feels like he no longer has the same momentum as he did then. Chelsea's aim right now should be able to finish in the top four this season instead of winning the EPL because they are still far behind.
1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $128,000 and it's been a week waiting for game provider verification on: November 07, 2022, 10:16:39 PM
Hi all - so I have been playing at smaller crypto casino for a few years now. They have a TRX site and a USDT site. I have always played at the TRX site and have always had no issues with withdrawals etc. (Largest was around $26K USD)

I've started playing the USDT side recently and a week ago won $128K USD playing a few different Habanero and CQ9 games. I am waiting just over a week now with the casino telling me they are waiting for a verification report from the game provider and then they'll release my funds.

Not gonna lie I am getting worried and wanted to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience or may have some insight. Thanks in advance!!

First of all, this story is not clear. This looks as if you are advertising a scam casino website or perhaps a victim of a clone website that has wasted your time and effort.

I have experienced the same thing last year. I need more information, but I can help you with that. Support will make it hard for you, but you will get your money eventually unless the casino is a complete scam.

It is either you are a sockpuppet account or the account is yours trying to add more engagement to the thread because I don't know how you intend to help from an unknown casino that hasn't been mentioned. Are you an FBI or special detective who knows what is happening in people's minds.

You should at least give us a name and warn others.

You know that they normally do not like bad advertising.  So, in case they keep stalling and do not let you withdraw your funds, you should start harassing them over their social networks.  And if possible, have a well-written article telling what is happening to post around. At least this was how I worked my issue out when it happened to me...

Not like the casino have a support or an announcement thread on the bitcointalk, this suggestion may not yield much effort, I don't believe OP by the way because why would anyone gamble on such a casino that has the name starting USDT.DRAGON7.GAMES. It looks shady by name, the arrangement looks like something designed for landing scam pages often used to advise fake products, so much untransparent stuff from OP

1928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 06, 2022, 08:00:32 PM
Manchester united lost to Aston Villa surprisedly today. The first half was entertaining but the red devils failed to convert their chances to goal scoring. The game ended 3-1 with the villans not giving up on anything. Rather it's home game and Villa needed the winning points in other to claim upward on the table. The looks on Erik ten hag is not funny as he's unhappy with the results, but I trust united to bounce back with good winning in their next game before the world cup.

Indeed it was surprising seeing how Manchester United lost all their chances to defeat Aston Villa that all other teams are defeating both home and away but the Red Devils found it difficult to do the same and not only that, Aston Villa scored 3 goals under their first 48 minutes.
Out of all the top teams that are under performing this season, Manchester United have more chance of making it to top 4 but it seems the more they approach the top the more they do some regrettable mistakes else if not for today mistakes, they should be ahead of Tottenham today after they failed to defeat Liverpool but even with that, Liverpool are still far behind.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 06, 2022, 01:18:40 PM
Chelsea's first half against Arsenal has ended and for the time being the score is still 0-0.
if you look at the first half of the game I think it will be very difficult for Chelsea to win this match, they really played badly in the first half, especially they lost in midfield until the flow of the ball was controlled by Arsenal players, and that deserves to be appreciated now Chelsea's defense is so strong that it is difficult for Arsenal's attacking line to penetrate, let's wait in the second half for a moment whether the Chelsea defense will be able to maintain its good performance for the next 45 minutes.

The way Arsenal players are positioned is helping them; they could indeed easily get past Chelsea's midfield, but their defences are set up for Arsenal. Saka, Jesus, and Martinelli must coordinate their positioning in order to get past Chelsea's zone defence. Additionally, I'm not happy with the way Ben White blew two good opportunities; he appeared as though he was never prepared to perform above and beyond for Arsenal.

Aubameyang on the hand is carried away, the wingers are doing their Job but he is missing his chance, with the way they are playing, they could both end up drawing with one point each but it will really have an effect on the position of the two teams on the table.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Man Won $51,000 in Sports Betting With a Bet of Just $1.072 on: November 06, 2022, 08:36:10 AM
Yes, it is better to choose to invest instead of betting because it can provide better results, namely profits in the future. Maybe by playing gambling, we can also get a win, but the chances will not be greater than defeat. And I agree to invest or bet on an amount we can lose.

But from that story, we can learn that if we get a big win, we have to hide it from the public and not even tell it. That's to avoid overexcitement and may make us feel uncomfortable.

They both have a level of risk, while gambling can make you lose all, there are some types of investments that can make you lose all your capital, hence the reason why everyone should always apply caution before making any decisions. There are some capital/funds that cannot be used to start an investment, you will be left with no choice but to gamble your way out to have some changes in the wallet, it is not every time we get the opportunity to invest.
Gambling may be 50/50 and I am not yet there to say gambling makes a life but I have heard and seen colleagues use gambling money to do what investors have not done in years with the slight opportunities they cash out from, they don't win consistently big but whenever they do, you will appreciate the patience of been in gambling because it worth it.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zero KYC tolerance gambling platforms on: November 06, 2022, 07:52:16 AM
I am not sure how can one expect KYC free casino? It’s financial domain and it has money involved in it so definitely they will need to verify us and with whom they are dealing. Plus they will always have pressure from the taxation authorities to show the information. This is due to electronic laws that will not allow free money circulation over the internet right? That’s the whole reason bitcoin was made by Mr Satoshi. However, this is a system and it will always get regulated with big authorities to overcome the tax burden.

I hope one day you don't explode with anger and surprise if you see your documents being illegally used by another person to commit fraud or a crime of some sort due to mismanagement by casinos, KYC and Bitcoin were never in the same pattern, their principle and mode of operation.
Casinos were long there and working in good shape until bitcoin Casino start popping up, since the traditional ones found out that they always have limitations in deposit and how to prove fairness to people, they started accepting bitcoin and some other sort of crypto and this decision increases the gambling casinos and people today due to use of bitcoin. Now, tell me why they shouldn't allow people to do their thing the bitcoin way and be KYCless, the email and mobile number are enough to allow any play free, at least they know who they are basically dealing with.

Additionally, submitting a KYC doesn't guarantee that a player is genuine, players can submit wrong documents and find their way out of strict casinos that always demand KYC, we need a financial environment to a level to protect people's privacy.
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: November 06, 2022, 07:34:25 AM
Do you think any parents who live in a big city will want to move to village in order to raise their kid? I don't think so, money is more important then child for them, so if they move to village, they can't work in big city again. It's make sense since bad financial is worse than kid grow without his parents.

Bad kids can be raised anywhere, either in the village or in the city as long as they don't get the good parenting they need. A child can be given out to a village and end up being abused and grow up with that mentality, get the wrong impression of people around them and use that sense to communicate with people and the same goes for the city too. However, I think the guy is trying to give priority to society's notion that children that are raised in the village usually come out to be properly raised well when compared to city boys.

Quote
At least they still can hire an assistant or babysitter in order to teach and raise their kids.

I don't know if I am the only one who doesnt like a babysitter the way the world now operates, no matter what the parents do, they should always find ways to make time for the child/children, it stronger the bonds and makes the kids adhere to their ways easily.
1933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: November 04, 2022, 08:48:35 AM
I like how you think, I do believe that people who have bitcoin and wait for it in 8 years will be rich, because the expectations of bitcoins are rising more and more and since 2017 it rose to the price of $20k, people went crazy , when this year it is at $20k people and many say that it is dead, now in 8 years when it goes up a lot let's say to 150,000 dollars and then goes down to 70,000 which was the previous ATH, people will say that it is finished, the fud It works like this, opr that ´I think if they will be rich, and hopefully in 8 years from now I will manage to get my first Bitcoin to be able to have a more relaxed life.

8 years is a really long time, unexpected and expected events will happen. However, I think that all of these predictions of high prices may not come true because, as we saw when Corona, bitcoin experienced a severe crash. I sincerely hope that this won't occur again.

Gone are the days when people could look into their wallets and see how much money they had, now is the best time to hold the bitcoin you need, the search for a single bitcoin will become extremely difficult for new investors, holding a single bitcoin will be a thing of the past, and sats will probably be a new thing to talk about, which is why I believe now is the best time to hold the bitcoin you need.
1934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why btc cannot move pow to pos on: November 04, 2022, 07:53:07 AM
This question comes, Do btc network can move to POW to POS?
I am just asking and there is a issue that electricity bill too. Energy problem is most hottest topic all now. so lets discuss this

There are three important keys I learnt from Certik, they are Decentralization, Speed and Security. Bitcoin has Decentralization and Security but lacks speed which has been the number priority of Satoshi with proof of work and so far, there has never been any of that too that has been comprised, we have only been battling with speed which developers have been trying to improve but in all honesty, bitcoin cannot have the speeds compare to proof of stake because it will break the decentralization and security.

In all of that three, one must be given up, that is why you see most proof of stake has speed but they are prone to hacking and too centralized by a few groups of people, bitcoin cannot be proof of stake if they want to retain its security and decentralization.
1935  Economy / Economics / Re: friend I want to invest short term in bitcoin and crypto. to meet their living a on: November 04, 2022, 07:34:02 AM
a friend of mine came to me and he asked, is it possible to invest in bitcoin and crypto for the short term,? which is to meet daily needs, and I am confused to answer because I am still a beginner in bitcoin and crypto. and I want to ask everyone about it?

The market right now is bad, there is no crypto you will invest in right now that will give you a short-term profit, to be honest, but if your friend is willing to risk it, now is the time to buy bitcoin, the market is down with an opportunity to buy at low price.
I'm concerned about your friend about invest in bitcoin and expecting to have profits to meet daily needs, bitcoin doesnt work that way, you should do more research and teach him the basics though there are people who invest in Alts coin and stake them and have them withdraws the reward, of course, your capital have to be huge, the more you stake, the more reward you have as passive income but I don't like Altcoins because highly volatile, the teams can rug pull and runaway and possible hack attempt.
1936  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk Becomes Owner Of Twitter, Immediately Fires CEO And CFO on: November 04, 2022, 07:12:54 AM
Firing the two Top empolyee is one of the best things Musk can do - many people are very happy with his decision

People are happy because the sack was politically motivated, however, I think Musk sack them because he felt they were playing insider politics, he thinks they should have given freedom to the people and allowed them to have free speech but they were sanctioning and blocking accounts which is wrong in his opinion.

Elon has managed different businesses that came out excellently with massive revenues, who will query his decisions on Twitter when they know that his actions will bring in profits, just look at how they planned to implement $8 for a blue tick for every user, if that becomes active in the first quarter of 2023, I imagine billions they will generate in every quarter because most of the users want that feature badly.
1937  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 04, 2022, 06:55:34 AM
If someone needs to read that list to get their financial advice, they were never going to get rich in the first place. It might help stop them from becoming poor lol but that's about it.

There was never a specific path to success, and the OP never guaranteed his suggestion was flawless, but I believe the highlights are simply common sense that anybody would take, even so-called expert consultants. To achieve success, you must begin your journey and see what it takes to achieve a level, and what will guide you are yourself and your failures, though there are some people who are naturally lucky and may not see any failure throughout their journey to become rich, they exist and that's how life treats, now imagine wanting someone who was a favour and you want to be like them when you are not built that way, that is how life work.
1938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2022, 10:56:30 PM
Personally I dont think if Elon Musk or his tweeter account will eefect the price of bitcoin that much because we already saw his tweets in the past and people will not trust his tweets like before and even if his tweets effect the price I guess this effect is just going to be temporary and short-term

I concur on that temporal, if he decide to buy some stash of bitcoin today, it will have a short term effect on the price of bitcoin but even if he buys another billion worth of bitcoin, it wouldn’t have any major to effects at least that $100k right now because we are in bear market, never has that happened in the history of bitcoin, traditional market is also down signifying bad signal to those who want to fomo and I also feel the concluded injury is also yet to be heal(the Luna crash).

Not hating on Elon but he wouldn’t be there as the richest person forever, others were once there and they dropped. When the times comes for another person to rule, he will becomes irrelevant.
1939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this Lead to the Mass Adoption of Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2022, 10:26:50 PM
I don't know why we like to associated bitcoin to Elon Musk, looking at that comment I feel that they are forced and trying to impress bitcoin to Elon, a man that sold 70% of his entire bitcoin holding during emergency will do something for bitcoin adoption, I don’t think he will implement that because I still recall when he said something pertaining to energy consumption which has not been cleared.

Lightning on top of twitter will be as good as  another centralized system which I don’t like and from what ensued between FTX founder and Elon during acquisition of twitter makes me think he wouldn’t attach blockchain to twitter because he rejected millions of dollar due to some conditions related to blockchain and twitter.

We should help bitcoin get adoption but relying on Elon and his newly acquired Bird App should rest, he wasn’t here since 2009 and bitcoin has been doing well.
1940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: November 02, 2022, 02:13:39 PM

Longer or delayed withdrawal is a big issue for me, one thing I hate in online casinos is the delay in withdrawal and redirecting to a website when using an app.
Another annoying thing about online casinos to me while using an app is the pop up ads, these popped up ads take upto 15 seconds at times and that isn't cool for me.

Most times, the online casinos require heavy  network usages and might take longer time to load up if not having the required network for operation.

Delay in withdrawing suck and what annoying the more is the fee associated with them. I prefer when a Casino remove fees the way how busy every blockchain is but most of them don’t do that, they rather place a static fee for withdrawals especially now that all coins have lower fee, they still feed from users withdrawals.

I think ads cannot be removed from casinos, most of them are usually promotional that are within to make players know what is happening and what they are missing or give notice of an events, they are usually not an outside events, this is a most in casinos and they are just few Ads.

The lighter the games, the faster the games can load quickly, most of these casinos now want to impress players with good graphics that’s why we do experienced slow load time.
