1921  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt.com | Win $100,000! | #1 Crypto Casino | Instant Withdrawals! ✅ | 24/7 Rain on: January 11, 2023, 07:04:33 AM
^^
I don't quite like the idea of setting a wagering requirement to be eligible for chat rains. Chat rains are a reward for loyal and active users but also a way to give new customers a chance to test the casino. You can think of it as a faucet.
Regarding spammers, the best solution is to appoint chat admins to moderate the chat and ban spammers.
Other than the $0.1 every ten minutes, it seems a user is awarded ~0.00016 btc every hour!

Frankly speaking I dont like that idea but once a site is becoming a big site where thousands players are active every day including in chat, there is no other way to reduce the spam except having wagering requirement because having moderators wont be really enough. Stake is for the example, spam is almost happen every single hour especially when there is a big rain.
I think i agree with you, in as much it is very cool to keep the chat open and accessible to every user both new and old, i think introducing the wagering requirement is not a bad idea still ,most especially, when we consider that fact that this is not just like any chat out there.

Speaking of Stake, a user is required to have wagered a minimum of $500 to be able to participate in the chat, I think this is a good move actually, it not just a way of cubing spam, but this will also encourage new users to do some real gambling on the casino to try to reach that minimum wager requirement if participating in the chat is so important to them.

Yeah I agree, it's pretty important to not have a wagering requirement to receive rains. The goal is to give everyone an equal opportunity to win money just for chatting on Punt.com!  Smiley

Well, I was with Stake.com from the start and they also started with zero requirements to join the chat... now with all the bots and the rain farmers and beggars, they implemented wager requirements as a counter measure to reduce their impact.

You are still relatively small..... but as you grow and Alt accounts increase... you will also be forced to implement similar counter measures. (mark my words)  Wink
1922  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: January 11, 2023, 06:49:47 AM
I might suggest a Bonus system, where the VIP ranking are used to determine the percentage of the money that are paid back to the gambler, based on their wagered amount.

Example : Bronze - 0.1 % of wagered amount / Silver = 0.2% of wagered amount / Gold = 0.3% of wagered amount.... etc.. etc. because this will incentivize players to increase their rank and to get more from the bonus system.

It all depends on what the casino can afford and how many other bonuses are being offered by the site.  Wink
1923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 11, 2023, 06:38:38 AM
I say, "Do not cry over spilled Milk" .... just learn from that mistake and push forward with the new knowledge that you acquired. I had many friends who got into the same situation with these Ponzi schemes and even after several warning, still invested money into it.

Then they got burnt and now they are blaming "Bitcoin" as the evil technology.... not the stupidity of them investing in a Ponzi scheme that used Bitcoin as a payment option. (It is important to notice the underlined and bold section of this sentence)

You handled this brilliantly .... you learnt from the mistake... acquired the correct knowledge... and tried again. Well Done!
1924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking RSA Encryption with Quantum Computer on: January 11, 2023, 06:26:42 AM
You know that most secure services like SSL on websites and also services used by the Banking sector and other financial services use RSA Encryption technology ... right?

So why do you think this FUD is only targeted at Bitcoin as a huge threat? I will tell you why, because Bitcoin is a threat to the people who are spreading this FUD... because they want the uniformed slaves of their financial system .... to fear Bitcoin. (even if this is a bunch of lies)

Just get the truth out there... and how we already solved this possible threat, with counter measures.  Wink
1925  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 10, 2023, 12:27:46 PM
Some of the games looks like a "white label" version of the Stake.com original games.... and we are seeing a lot of these copycat sites ..popping up everywhere. I was hoping to see some real originality in those games... but it's just too similar to all the rest.  Tongue

Is this a clever method to "sell" a white label version of your casino.... or are you genuinely looking for inputs to improve it? One thing that you might consider adding ... will be a PvP element to all those games.  Roll Eyes
1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone making 4 or 5 digits (USD) monthly from Crypto Sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 12:20:35 PM
Darksorrow (OP) .... you are looking for something that does not exist. The bookmakers and casinos are making sure that they are protecting their interest from professional gamblers. (Punters)

They will start to "restrict" your account ..based on your betting (win) history and then they will block your account.. as soon as they determine that you are a Punter... that is more or less stadard practice for all casinos and/or bookmakers.  Roll Eyes

Stake.com and Duelbits.com are quite lenient ... but they will eventually find a way to implement something to restrict you, if you are winning too much.

Anyone has long loss streaks on Stake plinko?
Current seed has over 110k nonce but not even single 1000x hit on 16 rows. Overall multi loss is 4871x and even if 1000x hits now I will be down over 3kx unfortunately. I feel like something is wrong, gonna verify this seed after hitting it.

Well, I am way into 276k bets on Plinko with no 1000x win... so do not think you must hit it soon. Some people seem to think that you should regularly change seed, if you do not hit it within 40k bets, but I tried that.. before this and I just get the same result.

Gone are the days where you kind of had some guarantee that you will hit a 1000x within a maximum of 80k hits.  Roll Eyes I have dug the hole so deep now... I just have to continue until I hit it... so that I can recover some of my losses.  Angry Angry Angry
1928  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (Updated) Stake is generous! (Did you recently get a $40 "Russian Bonus" from.. on: January 10, 2023, 11:46:34 AM
Yes, this was a strange bonus.. and a highly discussed topic in the chat. People are asking why some people got it and what they got it for .. and others did not get it. Well, it turned out that Stake decided to pay out $40 to anyone that made bets for 5 consecutive days in a certain period.... Why they decided on that.. could not be answered.

Now, people are saying it is unfair and that nobody knew about that.. so nobody prepared for it. I say, those who got it were just lucky... and others should learn from that... do some small regular Sport bets and you might be one of the lucky few to get it next time.  Roll Eyes
1929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How profitable it is possible to invest in bitcoins in the new year 2023. on: January 10, 2023, 11:40:56 AM
First of all..... Bitcoin is not an investment.

Bitcoin is a technology that can be used as a currency or payment method ...and as a bonus, you can hoard some coin to see if the price goes up.. from where you bought it... and then you can make some passive profit. (The main goal of owning Bitcoin ..is not to make a profit, but rather to use it as a currency)

You might ask... Why do we need an alternative payment option.. or currency? Answer : Because our primary currency are centralized and manipulated by governments and we see how governments fail their citizens all over the world. ((Example : Zimbabwe (Hyper inflation) or the 2008 Banking crisis ..where Banks were bailed out with tax payers money to pay for Bankers mistakes and fraud))
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 09, 2023, 09:54:34 AM
There are definite merit for casinos not to disclose any sensitive information about their operation, if it is not necessary to do so. People can use that information to exploit loopholes in their security or to fake logs to target human flaws. (Support people might accept fake logs or entries and payout claims that are not valid)  Roll Eyes

That said.... if there are significant evidence that a casino are wrong, then the casino will have to step up and pay out the claim. (They have that obligation towards their users)
1931  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Auction - Bid on a prize where 98% of each bid is added to the prize. on: January 09, 2023, 09:47:34 AM
I do not think the motivation for this is to snipe bids, because this will be extremely risky from the operators perspective. There are always people with more money out there, so they stand a huge chance of losing the bid, if a whale snipe their "snipe" bid.

The concept are flawed... as shown by other people on this thread and the idea are poorly executed. You cannot start something like this and then not document all aspects of the rules.  Roll Eyes
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HELP, I want betting/gambling tokens in crypto portfolio for 2025 on: January 09, 2023, 09:35:44 AM
I do not see the need for those "gambling" tokens... other than some casinos making more money out of the gambling tokens that they developed. Most of these tokens have zero utility, because it cannot be used for anything else... other than using it for gambling.  Roll Eyes

If you want to invest in one token that has some utility and trading value, then go with the FUN token that are used on one of the biggest and oldest Crypto casinos, called Freebitco.in.  Roll Eyes
1933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Legacy Adresses be supported forever on: January 09, 2023, 09:26:12 AM
Well, it is one thing saying that it might happen.... and a whole other story to convince "full nodes" to accept it. If it does happen... a full fork needs to happen, so you will get the same amount of coins that you had on the legacy addresses. (So in theory .. you will not lose any coins, but the value of the new tokens will be questionable)

I personally think we should only "force" this issue, if some security exploit threatens Legacy addresses. (Super strong technology that might crack the encryption)  Roll Eyes
1934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Digital dollar a threat to Bitcoin ? on: January 09, 2023, 09:01:14 AM
The general pubic does not know the difference between centralized and decentralized... and they simply do not care about that. They care about some government giving the "green" flag on a currency that they can use everywhere.  Angry

We have a huge task to educate people on the difference between the two technologies and what the threat will be to use a centralized technology.  Roll Eyes
1935  Economy / Economics / Re: The fight over electric car batteries on: December 26, 2022, 07:55:08 AM
Well, Elon Musk made sure that he cashed in on the possible shortage that might occur with batteries for electric vehicles, by building that massive factory. "Musk said Tesla would have capacity to produce 100 gigawatt hours of 4680 batteries this year, enough to power about 1.3 million cars, and more than enough to supply production at factories in Texas and Germany." - Source : https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/musks-plan-tesla-built-batteries-has-an-acceleration-challenge-2022-03-11/

So that is Tesla's needs covered... but what about all the other EV manufacturers .... will China produce the rest of those?  Roll Eyes
1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Licenses and Casino reputation on: December 26, 2022, 07:20:39 AM
I have not seen or heard about any individual complaint that has been resolved by the intervention of the license authorities. I even doubt if they get involved in those issues. I once saw the curacao license disabled on the Stake.com site, when they ran a weekly lottery.... but Stake took them on and explained that it was not a Lottery... where people bought tickets, but rather a Giveaway...where people earned tickets.

The Stake license was enabled again... and Stake.com grew to one of the biggest Online casinos on the Internet. So good luck, if you have individual problems with a casino.  Roll Eyes
1937  Economy / Gambling / Re: OLE777 - Join Us For New And Exciting Promos! on: December 26, 2022, 07:12:04 AM

1938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problem with mass adoption of Bitcoin on: December 26, 2022, 06:57:37 AM
A massive whale tried this in the early days.... creating a huge "Sell" Wall..... but people stuck together and they slowly chipped away at it.. until it was destroyed. That only happened on one exchange, if I remember correctly ...and things went back to normal within a couple of days.

So the Bitcoin community are pretty resilient when it comes to things like that.... when we are faced with a challenge, we stand together and we ride it out and just continue driving forward.  Grin
1939  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: December 25, 2022, 09:04:16 AM
Yes.... that is very good advice... but the spirit of Xmas spending is strong with many of us...because we want to compete with the Jones's and want to kill our guilty conscious by buying gifts to people that most probably not deserve it.

I think people should be less worried about gifts and huge meals during Xmas... and just try to spend quality time with friends and family. The commercialization of Xmas is wrong..... and only retailers and businesses profit from that.  Sad Sad Sad
1940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Must it be the last game? on: December 25, 2022, 08:58:37 AM
Well with a bigger multi bet.. your odds payment are much bigger... so I bet multiple different selections at the end to cover most of the probable outcomes. I know this will reduce the payout amount, but a win is better than nothing at all....

This strategy did not work very well with the Soccer World Cup, because there were simply too many upsets. I did manage to win some configurations at the end, but that did not make up for all my losses.  Roll Eyes
