1921  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] μ - Bitcoin Venture Capital (Asset ID "MU") on: May 23, 2012, 03:15:45 PM
I know you didn't have much faith in me when I first started but I have received a board and have been paying weekly dividends for four weeks from tomorrow.  I'm hoping board #2 ships by tomorrow effectively doubling the whole weekly dividend and we have about 650 shares at 0.4 for board three.  Which I could get shipped within a week.  A new bitstream is being worked on for the boards we use and I've estimated at current difficulty with all shares sold and having three boards our weekly dividend per share would be over 0.00485000btc with the new bitstream.  Even without the new bitstream with all shares sold and having board #3 at current difficulty our weekly dividend per share will be up to 0.0040btc.  Also all shares purchased are backed and insured by the hardware.  Meaning if we were ever to fold all the hardware would be sold (we have currently paid for over $2,100 of boards) and paid out in one big dividend.  So you can't loose your money.  Thanks.  Matt.  Red Star Mining.

Basically people are finally getting nervous about loosing the BST deposits.  So they sell the risk exposure to others while keeping a cut of the interest for giving you the privilege of taking on the risk.
1923  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Hashkings Lending, Deposit(Specials New BTCST Special(Capacity Filled)), Escrow on: May 21, 2012, 09:26:56 PM
Does the PPT interest payments get kept on your site if you haven't supplied a withdrawal address or does it get compounded?

There is no compounding on this program.  You would need to supply an address to have the interest sent to.

Don't think I supplied an address can I leave it to build up in my Hashking account.  It was only two small deposits totalling 1btc.

There is not 21Million coins there is 2,100,000,000,000,000 and if extra decimals need adding even more.
1926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Couple of quick questions! on: May 21, 2012, 04:28:49 PM
If your concerned about electricity costs you may want to look into Sparten6 boards especially as there is a new bitstream coming out for them to increase there hashrate by 25% up to ~250MH/s@~13W per chip.  They are quad chip Sparten6's boards out now so they should give ~1GH/s@~55W with the new bitstream.  If it's all too expensive or too difficult you may want to look into micro-investing in mining company's listed on the GLBSE most pay a weekly dividend.

It's vcool that your going to be licensing it but will it include customers who receive there boards before eldentyrell new bitstream is released.  Or will you just ask for a small fee from them hopefully cheaper than eldentyrell fee due to your license?

Yeah I'm sure we will work something out. I'm not sure how this is going to work as eldentyrell hasn't given out any details of pricing or licensing. I don't even know if he will be offering licensing to the FPGA board makers. It would be stupid not to though.... so I figure he will.

Excellent so you could seen be advertising your boards at 1GH/s@60W if eldentyrell new bitstream pulls through.  Definitely competing with the BFL-Single then with your twelve month warranty Cheesy

Please read the thread.  The only deposits that aren't guaranteed are the Pirate Pass Through.  All other deposits as previously stated are guaranteed.

Yeah I just read the re-edited OP
1930  Economy / Economics / Re: LETS plus local community currency's and bitcoin? on: May 20, 2012, 09:32:31 PM
Maybe someone is lazy and wants something from a LETS supplier then maybe they could buy some LETS hours with bitcoins.  Or maybe someone has earned up too many LETS hours and wants/need to balance out then maybe they could sell some of their LETS hours for bitcoins.  Also with new local currency popping out backing and pegging them to bitcoins could provide security and kudos to the new currency with people knowing they could also cash out there local currency for hard cash via bitcoins.  Many people are moving away fiat and want as little contact as possible with it so step in bitcoin the peer2peer decentralised internet currency.

Sent 50 for the Pirate Pass through, great deal.

Are all our deposits exposed to Pirate bonds.  Meaning if the Pirate folds then my deposits are gone?
1932  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 800Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com on: May 20, 2012, 08:49:53 PM
So as long as it's at or under 40A all the Sparten6's should hash at 250MH/s each taking the boards to 1GH/s each.  Or if it needs to much power just use three of the Sparten6 modules per board at 750MH/s.

Yep. The power converter can operate over 40A, up to 70A, but care should be taken to keep it cool and operating over 40A would make the lifespan of the power converter shorter

Looking at "eldentyrell" thread it looks like the MH/J goes down a bit when it's pushed.  So the boards with fans it looks like it would to need up to 50A.  Reading what he saying is that three Sparten6 at 245MH/s would use 39W so with the boards also powering fans maybe three Sparten'6 per board would be best unless the boards can operate at 58W instead of 45W at 800MH/s with the fans.  58W tho for 980MH/s is still good tho beating the BFL-Single on both hashrate and efficiency.  Or with just three Sparten6 modules with fans per board/backplane on the new bitstream at 44W for 735MH/s saving $250 per board or a fourth board for every three you buy.  Tho maths could be wrong and "eldentyrell" could change his figures.

"eldentyrell" is going to be selling this bitstream is this FPGA company thinking of licensing it?
1933  Economy / Securities / Re: Red Star Mining [GLBSE] - FPGA company 0.40BTC for 1.0435MH/s@0.0609W to be paid on: May 20, 2012, 04:40:23 PM
Someone is working on a new bitstream for the Sparten'6 to take them up to 250MH/s each from 200MH/s.  So that would increase our total hashrate by 25% to 3GH/s over 2300 shares or 1.30435MH/s@~0.0717W per share.  Basically at current difficulty that would be up to a 0.0050BTC weekly dividend per share.  Happy days and keep your fingers crossed for the new Rev4 boards shipping later in the week which will double the current whole weekly dividend.
1934  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Introducing the ModMiner Quad 800Mhash @ 40 Watts http://www.BTCFPGA.com on: May 20, 2012, 04:18:17 PM
Will these boards be compatible with "eldentyrell" new 250MH/s bitstream for the Sparten6?  If so this will take the boards to 1GH/s will the heatsinks/fans be sufficient?

I can't really give you a answer as eldentyrell  hasn't given any numbers on power consumption yet..... However the power converter is made for 40 Amps but will go up to 70 before it enters "Hiccup mode". You could probably run it at 50-60 Amps pretty safely and I really doubt you would need more than that. Going past the 40 Amp mark would probably also require that the power converter gets lots of airflow so it doesn't overheat.

As a comparison ZTEX uses 8A per FPGA which would be 32A for 4
This is just a guess but I think the new bitstream will use around 10A - 12A per FPGA

A nice thing about this board design is if the board cant supply enough power for 4 FPGA's on the new bitstream you could always just unplug one of the FPGAs. Another option is new backplanes with larger power converters could be made and you could just plug your FPGAs into the new backplane.

So as long as it's at or under 40A all the Sparten6's should hash at 250MH/s each taking the boards to 1GH/s each.  Or if it needs to much power just use three of the Sparten6 modules per board at 750MH/s.

Tho he has been trying to redeem himself recently.  Good luck with your venture I would do the same but I didn't feel there was market depth there for that amount quickly enough.

To be honest I think the same but if he bought my shares I don't have to deal with him like this private venture seems you would have to?

Bulanula is just a troll. We have a history.

Anyway I wasn't trying to hijack your thread just put the offer to balunla since you declined.

OK, now can you please stop threadcrapping?

Thank you.

OK, keep dreaming.

Sure, great deal.

Yeah one of the best rates on the GLBSE.

Yeah the weekly dividend doubles once board #2 gets shipped next week  Wink
