Everytime I watch Manchester United play they have always seemed to tie in their matches.
I do not know if it is curse but for matches which they have home side advantage and are the better of the two teams, they end up drawing in the end.
Leicester city wasn't a hard side to dominate in their play but they just couldn't get anything going in the box.
If I were Rangnick I would be quite frustrated in the ManUtd side at this point.
The players are there but something is sorely missing either in their formation or their execution.
Which one it is, that is something Ralf will need to find out sooner rather than later.
I don’t blame Ralf at all for this draw because he was not given any new player in the January transfer window, plus his title of interim coach isn’t helping him at all as player’s are not respecting him. Also I hope that the new coach sees that he’ll have to sell many of these player’s and then slowly rebuild it, because if he decides to retain these player’s then next season won’t be any different then how this season was. |

England by far the most lucky in all the draft.
It is almost like England is favored by Fifa and they get nice draws for competions. Unfortunatly they always stumble in elimination stages. I am quite ok with the group my Croatia got. We have Belgium as the last game of the group and if everything goes as planed that should be the game to decide who goes trough as winner of the group. After that it will be though since we will get Spain or Germany if we pass the group. @Trofo the current England squad is capable of winning the cup, but the only issue I’m having is with the England’s coach because he’s selecting underperforming player’s like Maguire and Shaw and leaving out performing player’s like Sancho. Lastly any team that underestimates England will be foolish, because they have got one of the best squad, and now all Southgate needs to do is pick the performing player’s and continue winning matches comfortably. |

The nightmare is on again for Roma.  Because they have a matchup against Bodo/Glimt in the quarter finals now. As you can remember the group stage, Roma had a game that was no different than a nightmare. Bodo/Glimt just completely erased Roma by 6-1. I wonder whether Roma will have a similar result again. But I don't think so. Roma must have learned their lesson already. I wait for them to be fully ready against Bodo/Glimt and even eliminate them. Roma have played two matches against Bodo Glimt so far. They have not been able to win in any of them. In two matches they have conceded 8 goals and managed to score 3 goals. From this it is clear that Bodo Glimt is not an easy opponent for Roma. Bodo Glimt will try their best efforts to defeat Roma. And the players will be more confident because of the results of the previous two matches. On the other hand, Roma is not in a very strong position, but now their performance is quite stable. If they can keep up, maybe Bodo Glimt will be able to beat the team this time. I don’t think Roma will suffer this time round, because Mourinho would have done his homework well and I’m sure that he’ll want to extract revenge for those loses. Furthermore I’m expecting Roma to come on top and beat Bodø/Glimt either by scoring lots of goals, or simply parking the bus either way I’m bullish on a Roma win. |

EFL Championhsip is finally back this weekend after boring break for international matches, and we have twelve new matches in Round 40.
Only one match is played in Friday, with Hull waiting for Huddersfield at their stadium.
This two teams have different ambitions in this season, Hull only needs to survive in league and Huddersfield is fighting for Premier league promotion.
Quality is clearly o away side but recently they had some bad results with only one point won from last four matches.
I think this break was good for Huddersfield to consolidate, rest and prepare for this match.

If Huddersfield and Luton somehow manages to get into Premier League it would be a big unexpected surprise to me, but they are in play-off zone and they have chance for direct promotion if Bournemouth slips more.
I don’t think Huddersfield position is safe, because Sheffield has a game remaining and should they win it they’ll move into the fourth spot. Furthermore in a hypothetical scenario let’s assume Huddersfield wins all their remaining fixtures, but for them to dislodge Bournemouth they’ll have to pray that Bournemouth loses three consecutive games as Huddersfield has played 3 more games, hence I don’t really think that they’ll be able to dislodge Bournemouth.  |

To be honest. I have never heard of him. I had to look at his wikipedia entry first. He is currently still trainer assistant of the U20 German national team and sports consultant at Alemannia Aachen. He also wants to return to the U20 in Summer. I can't estimate what impact this will have on the Schalke team. Any opinions? I don’t think any person can have immediate effect, and it’s only when few games pass do we come to know whether the appointment was correct or wrong, so in this case we’ll have to wait for a while before we can judge him. Also he does seems to be experienced enough as @Soonandwaite has pointed out, and maybe he can have a positive effect on the team in the long run, but immediately I’m not really expecting him to perform miracles. |

And what happens with Messi at PSG, he's not the talent he was at Barcelona? PSG must be getting ready for their probable new manager for next season. And this is most probably going to be Zinedine Zidane. This would be no surprise for us in fact because we already know how much they have been interested in him. And I don't expect any rejection from him against joining the team. I see him as the only manager who can carry this team to bigger achievements. I mean the Champions League of course. They still can't win the title and it must be really annoying. Because they have one of the best lineups in the world now.
PSG again buried their dream of winning the champions league title, in the second leg they were hit by Real Madrid with a score of 3-1, the failure of the champions league made Pochettino's future threatened, the club is already looking for a replacement for Pochettino for the 2022-2023 season, there are already several coaches who is PSG's target for next season, Zidane is at the top of the list to train PSG next season, if PSG fail to get Zidane they will definitely sign Diego Simeone, it's really a shame for a star-studded team but failed in the champions league. but I'm optimistic Zidane definitely want to accept a proposal from PSG. There were some pretty ugly scenes after the Senegal and Egypt match yesterday. I saw a short clip on Twitter showing Senegal fans storming onto the pitch trying to attack Salah. He also had cups and drinks thrown at him as he was leaving the pitch after the defeat. I didn't watch the match, so I don't know the reasons behind it all. Is it just due to a rivalry between the two nations or did Salah do or say anything to kind of justify such (unfair) treatment? He doesn't seem like the type to do something like that to me.
That was absolutely not called for, but likely racism because Egypts are whiltes while Senegal are blacks. But this surprised me because racism are most from whites not blacks and not common in Africa. What I am still thinking is that it was used to distract him when his country's team were on the way to the stadium, but after match, that is another thing. Nigeria’s biggest problem in that match was the European born players. Most of them were born in other countries, they do not know what football means to us. They do not understand how there is insecurity, poverty and whatnot in the country. They did not understand that in all these things. It's football that gives us joy.
There was no urgency to win the match, they were all playing sluggishly.
Do you know what I can say about Nigeria issue, the Nigerian economy is not even good, not attractive for companies to have sufficient funds to sponsor clubs, good talents in Nigeria are buried forever because people are not interested to join clubs in Nigeria. You can see in foreign countries with good players how they have been practicing sport right from a child age, that is not happening in Nigeria. I don’t think that Salah has done anything to deserve such horrible treatment, and the fans responsible for such racism acts should be banned. Money game is a dirty game. But then again we cannot deny that there is so much money involved in IPL, one of the reasons IND is a big country and there are many states and lots of team and lots of foreigner player. ICC has also placed halt on many other activities since IPL is happening. Ofcourse it is a big industry. Lots and lots of money!
Right now, most of the talk is useless about dirty money or wrong things happening it's all industry and India is not alone having league we have a hundred of leagues across the globe and mostly working very fairly with their system. Just like we have best leagues system in across Europe and in The USA they are having check and balance system even no one can give them clean chit about fairness but still doing good, so we can expect something from IPL as well if they are generating money with their own tactics it's not wrong because they are spending big money, and they are in complete control someone will catch then surely he is going to face punishment like we have in past for few franchises in IPL. Even it's not subject, but we have some big gambling involvement in Italian Serie A as well with Juventus were guilty and faced some punishment. Wherever there is the money of such an amount, there will be people trying to take their cut legally or illegally. And that is always going to have an effect on the league. But, that doesn't mean the league is going to be stopped. That means those people need to be taken care of according to the law. I believe in some part of the world, or most part of the world, people do not care whether it is legal or illegal, the only thing they care is Money and luxury. The greed and lust for power and money has affected sports so much and what we see in most of the time booked already or not real. I don’t think that it’s fair to assume things like these as there’s zero evidence that can prove black money is involved during IPL games. Furthermore all IPL player’s, officials are under constant scrutiny and if anyone was involved then they would have been exposed by now, therefore till credible evidence pops up I feel that we should not spread rumours about IPL unless they can be proved. |

SRH once again put up an unbalanced side. I don't know why they chose to retain two rookie players (Umran Malik and Abdul Samad), who are yet to perform in the IPL. They are spending millions of USD on low quality players and as a result they have a second string playing XI. And at the same time they refused to retain quality players such as David Warner. He might have performed poorly during last season, but still have one of the best stats for any batsmen in the history of the IPL. Looks as if SRH will finish at the 10th position this time.
You are right. Sunrisers Hyderabad's team is not strong. There are very few experienced players in the squad. They've spent a lot of money, but I don't see any players in their squad who can play well in a regular basis and bring victory for the team. I'm even more surprised they didn't have an experienced player like Warner on the team. Warner is an outstanding player in the history of IPL. Sunrisers Hyderabad will not be in the top 4 of the table with this squad. @Sithara007 I agree their decision not to retain Warner was a blunder, and they’ll definitely be regretting it though out the IPL. Furthermore your analysis about their team is spot on, and it’s fair to conclude that the team management is clueless about their best playing 11, and if they continue to experiment like this then they’ll definitely continue having a bad tournament. |

Anyone watching the semi-finals between Australia and West Indies (Women's ODI world cup)? Australia seems to be comfortably placed and they are at 203/0 after 31.2 overs. Looks like a total of 350-360 is in the cards here. To be honest, this time there was hardly any competition for the Australians. They just steamrolled their opponents. India failed to qualify for the semi-finals and it was not surprising for me after years of neglect from the BCCI. Teams like Australia need to win trophies, because the cricket board treats women's cricket as a priority.

The Europa League Cup is a title that has never been woning in the history of Barca, it is natural that Barcelona puts the Europa League title in the first position as a trophy that must be woning by Barcelona. Another reason is that Xavi Hernandez team is almost impossible to win the La Liga title because Barca is far behind Real Madrid. Making it to the quarter-finals of the Europa League is a great achievement for Barcelona after being doubtful in this competition. I don't know what happened to Italy when they lost to Northern Macedonia, but I don't think the Macedonians' luck will be repeated today against Portugal. Although they have repeatedly played unpredictably, beating Germany away and now Italy as well. Maybe Portugal will also lose? But personally, I don't believe it. Otherwise it will be another sensation.
It is still difficult to accept the fact that Italy failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup because they were defeated by North Macedonia. I think North Macedonia's luck was pretty big against Italy, but it looks like North Macedonia's luck won't be repeated against Portugal. When it come to the champions league, Manchester city aren't yet experience to win it. Atletico Madrid should never be underestimated, when they play against big teams they play defensively and although they haven't been themselves defensively this season, they can still pack the bus and Manchester city won't have the opportunity to score. In the premier league, Manchester city have been losing some momentum, their last five game have seen them draw and lost one each. They also have very tough matches up ahead playing both Atletico Madrid and Liverpool twice in about two weeks. There's no how they'll win all four games. They'll have to do some scarified as players will be wornout. I don’t think that Atletico can park the bus and get away while playing with City, because unlike Manchester United City has the player’s that can break them down and score lots of goals. Also @CryptopreneurBrainboss Manchester City badly wants to win champions league, and that’s one of the key reasons why Pep has stayed back and this season they do have a good shot at winning it, but I’m sure that they won’t take anything for granted and hence I’m expecting a solid match between these two sides. |
