1921  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you do when BTC shoots up? on: March 05, 2017, 02:11:13 AM
If you have a strong feeling bitcoin is going to go down then the right call is to sell and then wait for the price to bottom out and buy again at this cheaper price, this is a very simple strategy but very profitable if applied correctly.
1922  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it still worth it to trade? on: March 05, 2017, 02:09:35 AM
I wonder if someone still should get into trading Bitcoin at this point? There was a time with incredible aggresive swings so that daytrading was interesting, but now the movements appear but much slower. Is it still worth it to trade?
It is worth but if you want to see those wild swings then it is better for you to trade altcoins instead of bitcoin, bitcoin is entering in a slightly more stable phase and I hope we keep in that direction.
1923  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: March 05, 2017, 02:06:18 AM
Forget about everything else and just put everything on bitcoin. You are living with your parents, they pay everything for you, you got nothing to lose. If I was living with my parents, I would save everything and buy bitcoin monthly. If BTC doesn't keep rising you can still reach the 21 BTC holder group, then save this and retire in 10 years when the price makes you a millionaire.

Go all in on regret later. You are on a privileged position to profit from high risk high reward moves. No risk no win, and BTC is the best long term high risk bet.
The problem is you are putting all your eggs in one basket and while it could turn out to be great at the end there is a reasonable chance you will end up broke that is why it is never a good idea to go all in especially in something as changeable as bitcoin.
1924  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: March 05, 2017, 02:03:47 AM
wow , its amazing .
so people keeping their bitcoin will be rich in future
but maybe it cost a long time for making 1 satoshi became $1 Smiley

or it will just never happen, for this to become real the bitcoin price should increase 100 thousand times what is pretty much impossible and even if this happens then we will have no dollars any more because the bitcoin will have fiat replaced. We would need to wait at least a hundred years in order for this to become real and when satoshi becomes worth one dollar bitcoin will be used as a national currency of each and every country.
Even without fiat the value of bitcoin will keep on increasing since there is less and less available bitcoin to be mined and if bitcoin keeps growing then, more people will want to buy a lesser amount of bitcoin.

Thanks to yahoo and chain of points for the payment, this was my first experience being part of a signature campaign and it was fun.
1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the big names are invested already? on: March 03, 2017, 07:59:44 AM
I don't think big names are invested. Big names generally diss whatever isn't regulated. Regulations are a big thing for big player, wall street investors, etc... And if they were invested, I imagine that the price would skyrocket...
I disagree, it is the other way around, banks and any other big players don’t like regulations at all, that is why they are always pushing for deregulated markets and they will try to bend the rules to their benefit.
1927  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WILL BUY 2 BTC PER DAY on: March 03, 2017, 07:57:22 AM
No one is going to sell you at below market rates , and even if they do then the most likely explanation is that they want to get rid of their coins, which means that the person selling the coins got them while doing some shady activity.
1928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC vs ETH? on: March 03, 2017, 07:49:02 AM
I am in dilemma. Should buy ETH and hold it or buy bitcoin and hold it.Which one do you thing going to give best and high return in next one year?

BTC if you care about your money.
ETH if you want to gamble in a pure speculation coin that realistically has absolutely no usage right now.
But buying btc now is extremely expensive whereas many people can afford buying one eth. I think the OP better earn btc and buy some eth in case they grow. That's what I do, basically.
ETH having no usage is wrong. It has a wide assortiment of opportunities for programmers like writing eth-based apps or making treaties with other people with the help of code. I think eth as well as btc is our future.

Buying ETH is cheaper but if you area trader or an investor you should care about the possible returns you could get and the time frame you could expect to get those profits and in both of those aspects bitcoin seems to be the winner.
1929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: March 03, 2017, 07:46:40 AM
When 1 bitcoin becomes $1000000.  Grin
Wow 1 bitcoin becomes $1000000 I think it is not happen even if after 100 years or 1000 years. That amount is so very very big. I think bitcoin hit $10,000 is possible but 20-50 years from now . I plan to sell my all bitcoin when the price reach at $1500-$2000 to make a lot of profit from it. And I want to back the price at $1000 and then I buy more bitcoin and wait again until the price increase. If I wait that price of bitcoin "1Million dollars I think " On that Day Im dead and my grandchildren will see the price of bitcoin but If the bitcoin price will hit that like amount is very big impossible .
that is just a funny answer i think. to me as i am interested in long term investment therefore i will like to keep my bitcoin and not to sell for as long time as i can hold. may more that 2 or 3 years of time and then i can expect that the price of bitcoin will be more high at that time and that will be really a good time to sell my bitcoin.

Mine, I think of holding for 10 years except if i fell short of cash and needed to convert some.  I do believe in Bitcoin price to surge up to $5000 and that is what I think I can sold my Bitcoin.  I think it is a decent price to sell and get the profit from waiting.
That is a reasonable prediction by 10 years bitcoin could be worth those 5k you are targeting, but your earnings depend not only in the price of bitcoin but also in the amount of coins you hold so if you are planning to hold for so long you need lots of coins to make god money.
1930  Economy / Economics / Re: Soo, I'm planning on buying €1000 in bitcoins. Yes or no? on: March 01, 2017, 06:18:40 PM
If you need to ask then the most likely answer is no, while I think bitcoin is a great investment, you are considering to invest in bitcoin without knowing the potential risk, so you are not investing at all you are gambling and even if at the end you make money that will only encourage similar behavior in the future that could cost you a lot of money.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from ICO on: March 01, 2017, 06:14:38 PM
The trend with these cryptos usually is when the developer gets his money from crowd sales that turns to be their exit point and death of the project, but this should not stop good projects from taking off because of shitcoins. Am in support of staying away from some ICOs and buy the altcoins from an exchange when it proves to be worth the investment.
If you are an investor interested on big profits by the time a coins proves that is wroth the investment it is too late, you need to deiced before others do, that is why it is important to read as much and try to get the feeling about the project and the developers, if you are right then you will get huge profits when other realize the coin is worth to invest.
1932  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin break its own record !! on: March 01, 2017, 06:10:47 PM
The future is not in my hands, but my coins do. So I have decided to sell a good part of my coins at this price. I don't know if this was a good decision, but in case of a new drop below $1000 I will be celebrating my decision, but if price breaks that $2000 so largely expected, at least I have enjoyed my spent coins and will have new chances to get more coins.
I think you took the right decision, there is no way ETF gets approved and when it gets rejected then we will see a lowering price, however if you don't take that opportunity to buy more bitcoin for cheap then I think that will be a mistake.
1933  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: March 01, 2017, 06:04:19 PM
trading is risk, i dont think it wil be fixed income
maybe you can do that, if do you have a skill in trading.
Possible only if you are good on trading but speaking on bitcoin trading i dont think so we all know bitcoins price doesnt move too fast which means we cant make huge profits on its movement unless if we do have huge or thousands of bitcoin then its possible but its too risky.
Big swings in price are not needed to make money out of trading, it can help but it is not necessary if you are a day trader, you will look and get advantage of every opportunity the market offers to get profits.
1934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Chain of Points - Transforming Loyalty Into Rewards - ICO LIVE!!! on: March 01, 2017, 06:00:24 PM
Hire a a graphic designer for your project. Your ANN thread seems to be dull . I want to apply on translation bounty of ANN thread to Philippine language. Please gave complete detail of the ICO and the bounty programs. Thank you
Give it time, maybe there are not fancy graphics at the moment but the important thing is the project in itself, I’m sure as time goes on the op will give it an overhaul.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Site? on: February 27, 2017, 09:20:05 PM
So you created "your" altcoin but you cannot create simple web page ? Hm hm ... That really begs the questions what the fuck does that altcoin looks like then. World got enough shitcoins here, no need for one more
Correct and even if you don't have the knowhow abut how to create a website or how to run an ICO, Why the OP does not get any help? Releasing a coin needs at leas a minimum amount of capital, if you believe in what you created invest in it.

1936  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: February 27, 2017, 09:14:34 PM
What if bitcoin gains much more value than you anticipate? So what happens when 1 satoshi reaches the price of 1 dollar?
What kind of arrangement is made if payment is requested as Cent? Can the bitcoin core be modified?
If a satoshi reached that value, unlikely but it is a possibility, then the code could be changed to add even smaller units, we could have mSatoshis which will be the 1/1000 of a satoshi the same way we have mBTC or even lower units if it was necessary.
1937  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Doubling bitcoins??? on: February 27, 2017, 09:08:59 PM
"If you think that something is too good to be true, then it probably is."

Don't mess up with such systems, they are only doubling their own bitcoins, not yours.

These Ponzis/HYIPs have definitely benefited a lot from crypto-currencies.
This is unfortunate but true, the first time I saw something like that, the scammers were using egold but now they are using bitcoin due to the inability of chargeback a transaction with bitcoin, so the lesson here is we have to be even more careful with our bitcoin than with fiat.
1938  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You can easily predict Btc/usd prices direction. on: February 27, 2017, 09:04:33 PM
Can you share it with us on how did you say that you can predict the price of bitcoin in a 4 hour chart?
Maybe it is easy to say that you can easily predict it on that way but then how? Maybe you already got some charts that prove and explain your starting trade. There were many speculation around predicting it but then it seems not easy tho.
Mate, maybe it was just a coincidence on your prediction on what were the results of bitcoin in time you set on.
Because even some researchers cannot easily predict it on, maybe when you elaborate it here then it will be a great help to the day traders.

A 4 hour chart has a period of time that is too long for the rapid changes in price that bitcoin has, maybe such a chart could help you make safer trades but you will probably lose a lot of opportunities for the simple fact the changes in the price of bitcoin will not be reflected in a 4 hour chart the same way those changes will be reflected in a 15 minutes chart.
1939  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: February 27, 2017, 09:01:31 PM
Right now the easiest way to make money from cryptos is buying them cheap and sell high !! But when a new technology comes there are plenty of ways to take advantage of it, there will be jobs directly related with cryptos soon, not mentioning that someone could specialize in cryptos today, for instance a lawyer might start to learn about the laws and rules exist or will be voted, then he could use this knowledge.
In a way you are correct but the field of law is not where I would expect any kind of big development since many of the users of bitcoin don't want to engage in a long battle versus the banks or governments they just want to be left alone and use their crypto currency as they see fit.
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think the big names are invested already? on: February 26, 2017, 07:42:24 PM

I think the big names are in now yeah but most of them didn't get in before 2014.  When you are super rich you haven't got time to waste of a tiny project like bitcoin pre 2014 right.  So yeah it might cost them more to invest past 2014 but their time is more valuable and cash they have plenty of.
We don't know about that, good investors know that to make good money you need to invest early, when uber was small the owner of the Dallas mavericks was given the chance of investing in uber and he didn’t but other big names did and now they are getting big profits, so a tech expert investor could have seen the opportunity and seized it for himself.
