1921  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 19, 2018, 11:37:51 AM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I prefer to own and store bitcoin instead of gold, if I store bitcoin now it is still cheap and I can use it when the price goes up and down so fast it is very profitable than the already stable gold.
but beter to consider them both.having bitcoin 50% and gold50% .for bitcoin price is still kicking up and you might earn double of your funds invested.while gold offers smaller profit but surely safe on your hands because it was physical and can see by your own eyes
1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What impresses you the most about Bitcoin? on: January 19, 2018, 10:41:44 AM
I know a lot of people have different reason why the love and embrace bitcoin.
For me the decentralized nature of bitcoin and the thought of being able to send coins to anybody in any part of the word, no third party, no regulation(specific amount), no bullshit is mind blowing.

the decentralization and the privacy, same as the security and accessibility of bitcoin that attracts me most.this things are the best feature in which only crypto can give..bankc cant offer this and the profit upon investing.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: January 18, 2018, 06:31:37 AM

I missed the dip the other day and am wondering if I should hold out for another dip or if the current prices are still decent. Mainly looking at litecoin and etherum. I also need coins regardless so I can exchange for other altcoins.
invest now, this china and korea issue is advantage for the capitalist that looks for long term investments.all the coins yesterday becomes red means all price drops and it will take another weeks or months to recover so take this opportunity to invest.i did put all my funds in btc and ethereum yesterday and today im starting to gain.maybe you could check it out what im saying here so you cansee by your self
1924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It advisable to quit my present job for bitcoin? on: January 18, 2018, 06:04:39 AM
Bitcoin trading these days has become so rucreative that I am tempted to quit my present job which is not giving me enough time to explore more out of bitcoin world...

What's your take on this, should I go ahead and quit?

Thanks
actually this is the same question on my mind almost a year ago.thinking to quit my job and focus here in crypto community, but my wife told ask me that 'AM I SURE THAT I CAN FEED THEM AND BRING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL WITH THIS KIND OF WORK?' From then i realize and made up my mind.not to quit instead do it both together, not with the help of my wife were doing good with both works.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM WILL WORTH $10000 on: January 18, 2018, 05:49:59 AM
If you follow the uptrend from Ethereum chart 📈 from January 2017 till now, you will see that ethereum as done nothing less than x110 of its current value as at 1st February 2017.

However, should ethereum repeat this feet in 2018 then it will be $132000/eth in twenty 2019.

Calculation:
1st February, 2017
Ethereum Price/$
1ETH = $11

10th January, 2018
Ethereum Price/$
1ETH = $1200

$1200/$11 = x109.091

If continue this uptrend in 2018 of which as started already and return another x109.091 by January, 2019. Price/ETH will be $132000/ETH.

I think if happened last year, it can happen this year, buy at least 1 ethereum and hold.
[/b]
i am a ethereum supporters and i have it on my portfolio but i dont think th huge price would be indeed in ethereum speculating just for 1 year.meaning it can overcome bitcoin?impossible better not to expect much but rather do extra effort on other coin to help you gain more profit tha purely ethereum

1927  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 17, 2018, 08:40:07 AM

i will go for both.bitcoin is fast rising same as the value of the coin keep on pumping and noone can deny it.the only problem in my mind is what if the crypto all of a sudden collapse?how can we recover if we put all out funds here?thats why gold is there for assurance and for further needed.

So i choose 50% bitcoin and 50% gold the practical decision and better way of profiteering
1928  Economy / Speculation / Re: Right time to buy bitcoin on: January 17, 2018, 08:30:00 AM
At this time bitcoin price is very dumping.I think it's time to buy bitcoin.Do you think, this is the right time to buy bitcoin or wait few days. Please tell me?
do you really want to know when to buy bitcoin?the right time?we i can say that this is the day, yeah hear it?today because the price now is hugely drowning many investors and capitalist withdrawing their funds because of the korean and china govnment warning of making permanent banned in all crypto and block chain access to their people.
1929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: January 17, 2018, 08:18:54 AM
What do you think? Onion going to boom?
every token has the right to bloom.every ico (not those shitty and scammy)was designed for the convinience of every one.the project it self stands for that..the only problem is the appeal and the strategic team that will hold the advertising of the said ico for popularity to attract investors
1930  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: January 16, 2018, 08:41:44 AM
i had about $200 worth of bitcoin.
How can i earn more with that amount?
should I trading? or make an investment?
and please give me some trusted site to investing my wealth.

**i dont want to give a loan, or else.**

if you had some advice, feel free to tell me.
really apreciate it.
thank you.
i guess if you had invested that amount since you put this thread i think your $10,000 richer or morethan as of this moment.because bitcoin price that time is such as low rhan your capital.because for me long term investment is more applicable than daytrading.anyway may i ask have you tried trading from that 200$?if you did.maybe that funds has gone now?as what had happen to your tank i think you hated bitcoin because of failed trading?hopefully not
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: January 16, 2018, 07:23:49 AM
Hi - Newbie here..I would like to put down 1000 USD next week.. What would your advice be to me?
the question is,what kind of profiteering do you need here in crypto because theres a coin that is compatible in different occasions.just like Bitcoin you cant enjoy bitcoin if you need it for daytrading because its movement wasnt enough to gain for a day.and sometimes it will lead you to losing for a couple of days and if bad can be months.but if you are not in a hurry and willing to wait for your money to grow well you can use this coin ina. Long term basis.
1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: January 16, 2018, 07:12:31 AM
Bitcoin is something radically new. Nothing like Bitcoin has been possible until now. I would go so far as to consider it sui generis; "in its own class".  This makes it important to understand what Bitcoin actually is before we try to describe it to others.

We're getting a good handle on the code, and of course on Bitcoin's function and utility, but what words should we use to describe Bitcoin itself? There has been some debate in other threads [mostly my doing] over how it is like/not like money, cash, dollars, etc. I'd like to start this thread by focusing on the term "money", and play Devil's avocate by asking for your best arguments that Bitcoin IS money.

My legal dictionary states "In usual and ordinary acceptation it [money] means gold, silver, or paper money, used as c irculating medium of exchange, and does not embrace notes, bonds, evidences of debt, or other personal or real estate." [cites omitted]

Wikipedia says "Money is any object that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country or socio-economic context. The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange; a unit of account; a store of value; and, occasionally, a standard of deferred payment." [cited omitted]

Webster's Online Dictionary defines money as:
    • 1. The most common medium of exchange; functions as legal tender; "we tried to collect the money he owed us".
    • 2. Wealth reckoned in terms of money; "all his money is in real estate".
    • 3. The official currency issued by a government or national bank; "he changed his money into francs".
    • 4. A piece of metal, as gold, silver, copper, etc., coined, or stamped, and issued by the sovereign authority as a medium of exchange in financial transactions between citizens and with government; also, any number of such pieces; coin.
    • 5. Any written or stamped promise, certificate, or order, as a government note, a bank note, a certificate of deposit, etc., which is payable in standard coined money and is lawfully current in lieu of it; in a comprehensive sense, any currency usually and lawfully employed in buying and selling.
    • 6. In general, wealth; property; as, he has much money in land, or in stocks; to make, or lose, money.
    [links omitted]
    [/list]

I maintain that per these definitions, Bitcoin cannot possibly be described as "money". And further, I think that those who do describe Bitcoin as "money" are doing this community a disservice.

But that is just my point of view. Are there any that can convincingly argue otherwise, that Bitcoin IS money?

for me yeah bitcoin is a moneh but in virtual ,money that you can use anytime anywhere only to those accredited by the said coin..this money can be for faster transaction and can be transfered to anyone this is a money that you can reqlly say YOUR OWN becausew its safe and freedom thats why im hoping that this money will be spread world wide and can be use for all things what ever the value is
1933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEO price predictions? on: January 15, 2018, 02:21:30 PM
I expect it to return back around $35 after this bitcoin-cash-fork situation ends. It would stay around 30-35 in 2017. In 2018 it will hit around $60 early, $80 lately. (excluding potential big problems)
its early 2018 now.still no movement for Neo so i think most of the prediction here didnt even made a closer price, maybe until china makes some noise again regarding crypto neo wont make any price difference,

I have a big respect on Neo but i admit that never had one since then.thats why im hoping that china make their mind and rejoin the crypto community again from that moment neo price will sure make a noise and growth

wo what does it mean mate?that rhe coins really has no future?lol

Actually i dont know this coin and had just seen this now so i try to check it up just to find that after several years still no good outcome.i wonder why those capitalist staying their trust on the said coins when we cant see good updates from the dev itself.

So to the fanatics of this coin sad to say but i think its time to give up.or else you will spend whole your life waiting for this to grow

So what do you expect, that a coin goes up in a straight line? Good luck finding that coin.
If you had invested in Verge exactly one year ago you would now have made a bit more than 8000x your investment.
I wouldn't call this "you will spend whole your life waiting for this to grow".
And regarding the updates from the devs, Wraith has just been released and is quite innovative because you can choose between private and public transactions.
What Verge always have been though is very variance-heavy with short periods where it spikes hard and long periods going sideways/downward.
So this is more for the longterm holder than for people looking to make a quick buck.
yeah right,we must not expect the permanent price in every coins here incrypto.even the famous bitcoin and ethereum never did a permanent value although they still on top.but yet can be stable because of ups and down.verge has a big volume so dont expect the highest price but what we need in this community is the growth.nothing permanent here.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: January 15, 2018, 09:19:23 AM
I think it is very difficult to replace bitcoin position, but if it can happen, of course the candidate is very suitable to replace bitcoin is etherium, because in addition to etherium in runner up position, etherium also has a bright future, as the main base of the payment path mostly ico projects
For now it is difficult, I also think so that will compete with bitcoin is ethereum it is very appropriate. I think personally is most appropriate is ETH with many people using it. Examples such as ICO project. And of course the miners are also doing the Ethereum mine.
thats good point,it wasnt mentioned most of the time the miner whos ethereum is yhe main target as bitcoin is so hard and expensive to mine.most of the miners in many countries specially asia mined ethereum than bitcoin.and added is almost ico now using ethereum as mode of payments.maybe not tnis yeqr but in sooner ethereum would replace bitcoin.maybe when all the bitcoin has been mined.then the eth will have a chance of making into the top
1936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: January 15, 2018, 09:08:22 AM
Why would you do that? Then, there would be nothing to be spent by you.
Just invest those you think you can afford and have something left for yourself and for emergency purposes. That is not how investing should be. It is suicide. Actually this is a dumb question but I think you need some light.
yeah how can you afford of losing everything if all of a sudden bitcoin or this community collapse (just incase it happens but i surely not)what woukd you do or spent for recovery?nothing?then younwill end up crying because of what foolishness have you made?

As what the crypto words says.invest what you can afford to lose.it only means one thing dont invest all of your funds inside, but 50% is enough to make profit here most specially in bitcoin or ethereum that will perfectly increase prices sooner .
1937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: January 14, 2018, 12:20:23 PM
    Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin
introduced by my brother..but at first i doubt it.i almost didnt listen as he continues to talk and explain about what this crypto is all about, everytime that he had a time keeps on encouraging me to make an account and read this forum which makes me irritated because im tol busy in my own stuff working in government and being with my family .

Until he got a jackpot, the airdrops that he had been got pumped and he earn couple of millions in our currency and after that i,myself read and push my chance here.until now im on it,tracking which coins can make me richer like my brother does.
1938  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: January 14, 2018, 11:19:47 AM
I think in the presence of bitcoin will reduce unemployment, because searching for bitcoin also requires hard work and creativity, and competitiveness in bitcoin is also high almost similar to work in the real world

What is your opinion this time?
on the contrary yes bitcoin can help lessen the unemployment and given some extra income to those who has a job.this is one big help for the low economy country when they're people struggles to have a job but no offering at all.in crypto community the unemployed can easily find some jobs that fits him.either joining campaign ,or bounties..daytrading or even holding only when time comes that they have experience and skills here in this crypto world
1939  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade or Hodling on: January 14, 2018, 01:34:04 AM
I would just like to hear your opinions, Which is more profitable, Day Trading where you can profit through buying the dips and selling when it pumps repeatedly, or Long term HODLing where you buy the dip and only sell it when it goes up 5 to 10 times its price value?

well im not that good in daytrade, although sometimes i gain and succeed in trading still not enough to make my dreams because i only earn smaller as what i expected.thats why now i rely on my holding.those i earn from my signature campaigns and those i got from daytrading,i hold them all for future and hoping i will make it because i trusted my coins and believe in their potentials.
1940  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: January 13, 2018, 02:18:01 PM
I first got bitcoin from withdrawing from gambling sites.  I deposited with another method but could withdraw bitcoin so i did it.  Around that time bitcoin was around $220 usd or so and when i got it, i would then trade it for poker funds from other person etc because I didn't want to hold the bitcoins due to reading about price fluctuations.  However, isn't the value of bitcoin almost always going to go up so its best to hold it?  I know last year it was $600 and the highest was when it was more than $1000 per bitcoin.  But since it is all the way down to $200-$300, isn't having bitcoin always good?  Could bitcoin go all the way to 0 soon?  I had thought hey if you get bitcoin when its $230 when the price stayed like that for a long time, thats great b/c very hard for it to go below $200 because i haven't seen that.  But even if it does, isn't it almost always going to rebound and go back up?  Last time i had btc and it was $230 or so and now it went up to $260.  So if you have say 100 bitcoins... well... thats a nice $3000 profit or so.

I'm sure there are ppl that have thousands or bitcoins right and just hold on to it?  And many that would sell btc immediately if prices go all the way up?  If someone had say 500 bitcoin... then btc price went up $20 in say a week or so... selling it would net them $10000 minus fees right?  However if they sell it via localbitcoins or other method, they are going to get a higher profit right?  However if they do this, say sold all their 500 btc... then once bitcoin later in the year go up another $50... well that would be $25000 less they would have earned.

In general, isn't holding BTC always a good thing since the price of it is pretty low now?  Obviously if you bought btc at $600 or $1000 and thought it would went up and held on to your btc, that would been a disaster.  But since its in the $200-$300 range, isn't having BTC always good?
if you did hold your bitcoin from this thread until this very moment i might say your a one lucky man, because after two years bitcoin price has been multiplied by more than a thousand times ,you can see how huge bitcoin value now and asking about holding bitcoin to make money?i think your the one can perfectly answer that upon your own experienced.

But for the benefits of us all yes its indeed.holding bitcoin for long term is profitable and surely functional
