Whoa! What is going on with this coin. Was debating about buying it at 15000 sats and I look and its at 5000 sats?

So there was a hidden pre-mine, why the huge drop?
19242  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shorted bitcoin on: October 20, 2014, 10:31:58 PM
If I were a gambling man, I would rather go short then long with the recent price action.

Ever rally gets sold off.

Only reason price is at this level is due to short coverings.
19243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 20, 2014, 10:30:45 PM
Very fraustrating price action of late.

Looks like it will go down but stalls, looks like it goes up and stalls.

Keep losing money out due to commissions.

Really surprised it hasn't gotten lower yet.

LOL! Most of these coins except for CANN seem to be completely dead or unprofitable.
19245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Mining on: October 20, 2014, 02:28:26 PM
I used this mine this coin for months. It was 2x as profitable as X11 and now its very bad. Less profit then X11 so I stopped minin it

Network snapshot of pool distribution of any pool with more than 1 Mh/s a few minutes ago:

Please consider mining anywhere except cncoin.farm and bbr.geilidao.com, as both of these pools are close to 50%. This would include bbr.poolto.be, bbr.mbkpool.info, bbr.5limi.com, solo mining, or boolberry.extremepool.org and sheepman.mine.bz (not shown).

I assumed that this algo is resistant to any 50% attacks just like the XMR algo
19248  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scientist predicts world stock market collapse in 3 months on: October 19, 2014, 08:53:18 PM
That chart is not correctly drawn but the top from 2000 and 2008 was already broken a few weeks ago.

Can someone here with a 270X comment on the power consumption?

19250  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 19, 2014, 08:50:44 PM
I covered my short at a loss that I took a few days ago.

I was expecting it to go lower but it looks like support held and might advance higher.

Anybody know why the loss of sudden interest in this coin?

I have been mining it like crazy and was hoping good things but its crashing every day just like XMR

So if I have 1 Terabyte of free hard drive space, how much money do I make per day?
19253  Economy / Speculation / Re: US exchanges coming online on: October 17, 2014, 02:58:56 PM
I think the reason why they are not popin up is because lately there has been nothing but negative news on bitcoin.

Why invest millions in a start-up and then have no customers. Like I said in my other thread, a lot of it was due to low volume these past fews months.

Exchanges only made money on trades, if there is no movement or volume. They can't make money.
19254  Economy / Speculation / Re: The BTC market is becoming like the alt pump and dump game on: October 17, 2014, 02:57:22 PM
Well you need to understand that traders love volatility. Lately for most of the year, unless its trending downward, there was hardly any volume or movement. I think we had the least volume since 2012 a few weeks back. So this is good for traders. More liquidity.
19255  Economy / Speculation / Re: If You're Not Buying Bitcoin Now... Then You're Just Stupid. on: October 17, 2014, 02:56:13 PM
Honestly nobody know what a good price to buy bitcoin is it?

There is not a single person on this planet that can predict the future and know when the right time is.

Now might be the right time or it could be when the price is at $100 or maybe when the price is $5, nobody knows.
19256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2014, 02:53:11 PM
Ok I took some profit from my short earlier this week. I need this area to break before i add to my short position.

Very volatlite lately and need to keep a tight stop.
19257  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 16, 2014, 02:54:56 PM
I am glad I started my short yesterday. I knew this wasn't going to reach $500, most of the rise was short covering and profit taking.

19259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you need an options exchange? on: October 15, 2014, 02:44:52 PM
Who are we trading against? IS it a decentralized markets where we trade with each other or do we trade against you?

19260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Canadian Housing & Bitcoin on: October 15, 2014, 02:43:26 PM
Yes the canadian housing is severely overpriced and its a huge bubble.

What will cause the bubble to burst? and burst badly?

When the interest rates start to rise again which is due to happen sometime in 2015 when the Fed starts to increase interest rates.

Canadians have a huge debt to income ratio and even a small increase in interest rates will hurt most home owners who are underwater on their mortgage.
