1941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggestion for making a video on bitcoin on: August 21, 2020, 03:38:35 PM
If you want to make a short film, you should not overload people with technical knowledge and information otherwise they'll get bored real quick. Rather more general information about Bitcoin and general understandable basis is better.
I will include very less technical information, basically the technical part of wallet, how tx works. In fact, the very necessary information in order to avoid any misleading information. Of course, I will not include something which may a newbie get bored of.
Thank you for sharing the documentation it will surely help me to create my video.
I also thought of this before but my lazy ass kicks in meeh.

My idea was to create 2 different videos, one is the most basic about bitcoin and the other is the technical, so viewers could just watch the 2nd video when they fully understand the fundamentals of bitcoin to deeply know how it really works. Try to label it *for beginner* and *for advanced*, or you can create 3 if you want to. I appreciate your intention giving awareness for the people about bitcoin, I'll support this when this comes out.

1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What sports do you think that can resume amid Covid-19 scare. on: August 20, 2020, 11:00:26 PM
Funny like in almost three months after, nearly all kinds of live sports has already resumed. I never thought they would resume, at least not this early due to the impact of the pandemic. But, yeah most of them are just broadcasted live with little (only VIPs and maintaining all kinds of rules so they don't put themselves in danger) to no audience at all.
At least people can now enjoy watching sports from home again. Better than no sports at all.

All of them had resumed out and as mentioned on where the new normal or set-up had been implied.Yeah it may look odd not only for the fans but also to the players itself but theres nothing we can do
about it but to deal and its better rather than having nothing at all.

We have seen boxing, basketball etc. had been resumed up even the pandemic havent been resolved yet because stopping out this industry will really be not sustainable if they would
just stand still and doing nothing or just waiting for the cure.
New normal has been implemented, it's just quite bothering at first coz I watched a basketball game with mannequin audience, I laugh a bit thinking they could have just leave it blank seats lol. Anyways most of the sports now is under a new normal rules, less audience or none at all, social distancing outside the arena for the players and staff, consistent medical procedures, and so on.

Esports is rolling even during the pandemic, but there are tournaments that went terribly wrong due to some server issues as players are far from each other, some are in a far place.

This is why management do really need to find ways to resume out no matter what but of course they do need to follow protocols.
Guidelines have been set, all they need is to follow, but it also generated added expense which is their biggest run off thing, just a small money for each team.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For the kind attention of the Gambling sites , a small suggestion on: August 20, 2020, 10:31:38 PM
Almost every crypto gambling sites to have restirctions to age factors but performing KYC is not really advisable when it comes to crypto sites because people here wants anonymous while playing so you can't demand them to provide all their details if they want to gamble there. If minors doesn't have to access the gambling sites then it is in the hands of their parents, if kid doesn't have enough money then he wouldn't think about gambling.
I like your point because some gamblers don't want to provide kyc. Even me personally I don't like to expose my  identification in any site. What I can see for this is on the parents to guide their kids not to explore any gambling site.
It is the casinos right to do KYC or not, this happened to be instructed by the central government especially when they are fully handed by the government, in short they are living by the book provided by the government. But then there is nothing wrong with KYC procedures as long as the data will be stored privately. Most of us are just afraid for an instance of hacking incidents where our data could be steal and use in illegal activity. The data disclosure is what we are afraid of, they can even sell it without us knowing and could just told us that their system was breached. None of us will really know.
1945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be carefull Newbies! Fake exchange promocodes scams on: August 20, 2020, 07:39:34 PM
Newbies are aggressive when they find something interesting in a certain platform that offers easy money.
Well they gotta do what they gotta do for the money, it's easy money who else does not want that? but unfortunately most of them are the end of cliffs.

But it is really obvious and suspicious if it asked you for sending money first, that's a 100% scam.
It's working like the money doubler, I'm 100% sure that all of this is a scam, I don't know why still many people are falling this such old crap. This is created by ancient scammers and still working these days, Idea of which tells me there are dumb people.

Exchanges now can be easily made with fake volume, number of users shown, liquidity, and everything. Scammer gets wiser and wiser every time, they even spend money to make things more looking legit and pleasing to the eyes of everyone. But for those who really sees what's behind will surely know how things are being fabricated. You better be cautious with everything on the internet.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Gameplays and Strategies on: August 19, 2020, 07:05:45 PM
Exactly.
While reading the post, I was thinking that players can fool themselves with fake expression to get their opponents to play wrongly or in certain way.   I guess it's also about understanding when your  opponent is fooling you with expressions.

I'd probably try to predict what card my opponent is holding by looking at things deeply. There are few other strategies I will probably consider.

Facial expression is important only in offline poker, while for correct understanding, you must each time look at what cards your opponent is playing, as well as what expression he has at that moment.
In fact, this is also a matter of skills.
Poker is really a variant of skill based games, if you know a lot about psychology you'll see more your opponents cards without looking at it, a simple glance, smile, movement of the hand will give you an idea what cards they are playing. Facial expression is one of the most noticeable coz you are facing each other, however there are people, experienced people who does not show any expression at all, either he's having a good or bad card.

However, I prefer to talk about online poker, as it provides more opportunities to play, and some poker rooms are discussed in this thread.
In online poker, mathematics is important to you, such unstable factors as facial expressions and behavior are absent, which somewhat simplifies the task of reading hands.
I must agree, but the mathematics on this field is hard since it will be a wild guess for you, 1/52 chances of getting the card you want and you can't just stick with wishful thinking that you're going to get it in the card draw. It is easier to play poker in online than offline.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: how in the world is btc at $12.303,28? on: August 19, 2020, 06:23:41 PM
Hi man, I'm starting to think you are a troll.
Sorry OP, but I do think the same too. You've been creating topics almost everyday without thinking it to yourself.

You are questioning why bitcoin isn't use to pay for services or products when you know it is volatile, and still cash is the best option for getting it done.

You start questioning things after you have been gone for 5 years, telling us that we're lucky coz you've been out for 5 years? how is that supposed to mean? Are you something else that we should be proud of being in here?

The basic supply and demand law will simply answer your question why in the world bitcoin is at $12,000.
1948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Buy Bitcoin Cheaper on: August 19, 2020, 04:05:17 PM
1. Purchasing it from a dubious source, e.g. people trying to sell stolen Bitcoin quickly or get rid of tainted coins
I'm thinking what if I bought a stolen bitcoins from hackers, would I be consider as their accomplice? If I know what bitcoin am I going to buy? I'm quite curious about it, anyways congrats to myself for getting it in cheaper price lol

2. Purchase in massive bulk OTC—a max discount of 1-2% is the best you can hope for here.
This one is good, especially when you buy a huge amount you could safe a thousand of dollars with this.

3. Purchasing forward contracts from a Bitcoin miner—but then you take on the volatility risk.
This will take a huge balls from the contractor if he wants to sell it out right after he bought it, but in the long I guess it will still be beneficial.

The best that I can think of is buying p2p, buy to those who don't want to visit hit with exchanges.
1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: VR online casino games take gambling to the new level 🚀 on: August 18, 2020, 08:29:45 PM
I don't think it will be a bomb in cryptocurrency casinos since most them will just be doing the same thing and not put any money into buying these techs. It might interest other gamers though since they are the ones with the VR already. It might be a new experience to them but all in all, I don't think it will be that great. It is great since it is VR still, it is gambling, I could do that without VR.

I think this kind of event will change if they will see it on some of the sci-fi movies when they put some scenes of people playing in Casinos with VR. that would completely change the mind of the others when they see it. I mean, if they see it on the movies, there will be a higher chance for people to imitate what they see in the cinema.
well, I agree with what you said, it is indeed better if VR is used to view movies that have high resolution because if it is used only for playing games it is not very profitable. unfortunately at this time VR is not really that much interest anymore.
People is not in time now coz people already lose interest to it, why? because of its cost. Having a VR is very expensive, it is use to stimulate real events without stepping your feet outside your home, thus some people find it bothering. Aside from that, there are study shows that using VR causes some health related problems like frequent headaches, dizziness and eye strains which might be the leading factor for people to quit the hype over VR. But today? we might come up to VR again as it is dangerous to go outside especially in casinos to experience a likely physical interaction.
1950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The importance of support resistance on: August 18, 2020, 07:52:05 PM
It is really sad only very few people are making use of support resistance levels in this crypto space as per the recent statistics study by major crypto magazine. Because people are mostly believing in to manipulations like pump and dump so that they could make more profits in the relatively short period of time rather than looking for technical things. In my opinion support and resistance levels are integral part of technical analysis and we should never ignore it.
I see the point of what you are trying to say but I think most of people don't really care about support resistance levels coz that's IMAGINARY for them. Most traders don't actually sees it coz they always think that the price will move no matter the price range is, it is different from those who sees and knows how the market works technically. But in my opinion, price resistance only exists if the price is stable at it on a certain period of time, like a year or more, that could be seen as price support where you can based your trades.

Pivot point analysis must be a known technical analysis which is purely based on support and resistance levels. Moreover all technical analysis are based on support and resistance levels because we need to buy at support levels and need to sell resistance levels. It  means all technical analysis strategies/tools are simply based on support and resistance levels but they are not explicitly showing that to us.
With such high market volatility it is really risky to base trades on technical analysis, coz the market is pretty unpredictable, your analysis may be wrong or right. Whenever I'm trading I always depend it on the speculation that I've read, news from the project and instinct. Technical analysis might help but not a lot for me.
1951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you thought you had found the real satoshi with 99.9% certainty ... on: August 18, 2020, 05:56:02 PM
And I'd also be annoyed at him for being slack enough to put me in that position.
I think his friends are also cautious about getting involve coz that would be a lead to knowing Satoshi, if Satoshis friends knows who he really is they should have a huge ball for not being afraid to keep their mouth shut. I'd also keep away from Satoshi tho, or migrate to different country. But I'm wondering if his friends really knows, or he told anyone about it, I'm sure he did and those people are worthy of that knowing his identity. Those are real ones.  Cool

1952  Other / Meta / Re: Free Advertising, YES or NO on: August 17, 2020, 10:22:27 PM

I fell out of circulation a bit, but previously I applied to many campaigns and I have seen many times that applying users simply wrote "Will wear signature and avatar once accepted" or something similar and many of them got a spot in the campaign so I don't think it is the most important for good campaign manager. Finding a good candidate is much more valuable than two days of free advertising by a shitposter ...

Some users wear the signature beforehand because they think they will highly selected once the manager sees they are already wearing the signature or the avatar when in fact it does not. The manager has the right to select the participants whom he sees a good advertiser for the campaign. And there are confident participants who removes their signature when they see a new campaign though they already have an existing one, once they got rejected they will just put back the signature of their first campaign. such a shame.
1953  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: UnionBank SMS phishing scam alert! on: August 17, 2020, 07:31:08 PM
May kakilala ako na nabiktima ng ganito, nakakaawa nga dahil savings nya iyon at pang gastos sana ngayong panahon pero may mga walang habag na gumagawa ng mga ganyan.

Very unfortunate.
very much indeed.

I guess this is the time to hire more qualified IT graduates para sa mga ganitong trabaho ano, karamihan kase ngayon palakasan lang sa loob e.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: August 17, 2020, 06:27:29 PM
when gambling is not safe, everything has a risk and the government should not be able to minimize that risk because the risk can be minimized by the gambler himself, so be careful when you want to gamble and as much as possible to be able to control your emotions when you lose, take a short break .

But only a few gamblers can minimize the risk by not using too big money, and they can control emotions while gambling. The rest of them will use more money to gamble because they can not control emotions. If the government can protect the gambler, maybe the government can prevent the number of addicted people in gambling. But still, that is hard to see that will happen because the gambler will search the other website to still gambling.
When you're playing low you just need to stick on the single idea that you don't need to rush or else accept that you can lose easily. Being a gambler is more of what most of the people think, it is a profession itself that needs some aspect to function properly like discipline, management, etc. Playing with a decent amount of money has to be always on the safe side, not risking all or much more than the half, just a small bits can be a huge winning. Government protecting the gamblers? We already have a state laws about it, don't need to worry with that stuff.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos to surge in German market? on: August 17, 2020, 04:04:41 PM
As far as I know they only have this jurisdiction to avoid being used in illegal transaction with unlicensed online casinos, I mean who's owner of payment processors would want to involve in such crime right? Now there are only selected and trusted casino in Germany that has the right to operate in partner with paypal and Visa. However, if those casinos, the illegal ones, are not going to be shut down then there must be a chance of the users to buy bitcoin as means of gambling. Will bitcoin surge in the Germany? Hmm not as high as you think of, as you need tons of money to increase the price of bitcoin even in 1%.
1956  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be carefull Newbies! Fake exchange promocodes scams on: August 17, 2020, 03:31:12 PM
Yup! This is an obvious scam attempt.
[1] [SCAM] trustcoin.exchange - Fake exchange

They even copy the webdesign of CEX exchange LOL
LOL didn't see stupidity like this before, they copied the entire appearance of CEX  Grin and the OP wasn't able to notice it. But there are really exchanges that is giving out a small amount of free satoshis for new users but yeah they should deposit first to acquire it. What mistake have you done is you did not check the exchange's reputation, which you should have done to check the legibility of the website. Now try to care less with promocodes, if you really want to earn try to play with market waves, do trading.
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Blackmail E-mails on: August 17, 2020, 02:23:11 PM
It's the same script that these scammers send from those leaked email databases that they have. Don't send any amount to that lazy person.
Okay, I think changing his password will work but how about his dirty little secrets? It will spill if he refuse. Don't get me wrong, I agree that he should not give money because the hacker will abuse him further but that sounds life threatening.

So my question is, Is this really a serious issue or just simple hacking incident done by a prankster and everything he said are all lies Huh?

There are no "dirty little secrets".This is just a made up lie,so the victim could panic and decide to pay the ransom. The hacker has only the victim's password and nothing else.
They are just guessing in likely manner of which is most of us are doing just like surfing on 18 above websites. This tactic is used many times in various incidents, no one should believe about it actually, unless he did somehow installed a remote program to you computer to open the webcam without you noticing. I'd just laugh when I receive any of these and will reply, " sucka my ass".

Most of those "hackers" aren't that tech savvy or smart. They are just copying the same old hacking methods.
Same tactic every time, yes, yet there are still people who fall to it.

Nobody should ever pay a ransom to a hacker. It doesn't matter what personal info is revealed.
Yeah, once they know that you paid them, they are going to make you a milking cow coz they know that you got what they want.

I don't know but haveibeenpwned.com seems to be a legit website that has been around since 2013 and has over 2 million verified email addresses.
I tried it just now, it says no "no pwnage found", no breaching and no pastes, seems like my devices are healthy  Cheesy
1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality Projects Revival on: August 16, 2020, 09:58:12 PM
I must agree, I've been seeing a lot of good project these days and there are many projects that is worth to invest in, But I'm afraid that most of the investor would overlook these matter as it can be an open gate AGAIN for scam projects like what happened in 2017 where most of the investors got a negative revenue because of worthless projects. But don't get me wrong, still not all altcoins today is worth of your investment there are only worth to mention like chainlink, trustswap, and the short list goes on.
1959  Other / Meta / Re: Just wondering why my thread was deleted on: August 16, 2020, 07:45:38 PM
The one who can give you the explanation for deletion is the mod who made it, maybe it has a lot of similar discussion from the gambling section and so it was deleted. I remember that thread asking if it is good or bad to bet on your favorite team.

I thought there will be just no notifications when you quoted someone's post then mods delete his post and so your post will be deleted too. Does mod have 'notify' or 'not notify' button?
1960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 and Bitcoin on: August 16, 2020, 06:39:20 PM
It's not specifically because of the pandemic. But the quarantine may help since a lot of people are staying in their houses and mostly spending time online. So there is a chance of discovering bitcoin and crypto while browsing the internet.
This might be the case for bitcoin and the growing community of cryptocurrency. People these days are locked in their home doing nothing, most probably bored and so they just surf online and gets interested in crypto after seeing it on article or news. There is a high chance that they will discover the bitcoin or any crypto because it is trendy now. Bitcoin scam in twitter might have help some people to let what bitcoin is  Cool

As for bitcoin scams, they are already rampant even before the pandemic but scammers find this as an opportunity to scam more people because some are desperate for "easy money" due to the unstable income.
Scam won't fade away, it will upgrade by time as long as there is money there will be a scam. Even this trying times, people tend to use the pandemic to scam people. They don't have conscience tho.
