Yep its normal to see long streaks like that similar to how you see long streaks when playing dice.
1942  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock market tanking away to day. on: October 16, 2014, 03:37:37 PM
Man I hope this stock market drop is only a short term thing and it recovers. This is not good for our economy Sad
1943  Economy / Economics / Re: Now one million merchants will drive selling pressure! on: October 16, 2014, 03:35:17 PM
Yeah, you definitely need a place to spend bitcoins. It definitely hurts the price when merchants offload all their sales for fiat though. But adoption will also bring in more users to bitcoins and increase demand so it will be good as well.
1944  Economy / Economics / Re: US Price Deflation in Recent History on: October 16, 2014, 03:33:42 PM
Yeah, overcoming inflation is a pain. People usually also tend to forgot about inflation when they consider the amount of a salary raise they may be getting.
1945  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: October 16, 2014, 02:11:50 PM
I love playing with PLINKO!! Will try it soon!

Yeah, this site is no longer operational. You should see the previous replies.

But for plinko style gaming, check out lucky bit.
1946  Economy / Economics / Re: Employees in Canada Opting For Salaries In Bitcoin on: October 14, 2014, 01:09:19 PM
Anything preventing merchants from directly dumping their bitcoin for fiat sounds good for bitcoin in the long run. We need more merchants to reuse bitcoins rather than dump for fiat.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin survive the impending financial crash? on: October 14, 2014, 01:05:42 PM
I think bitcoin will be more valuable during a financial crash when the value of fiat is dropping. Some people will likely shift their fiat into bitcoins as the value of fiat drops.
1948  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin’s Price Really Matter Right Now? on: October 14, 2014, 01:03:26 PM
The price certainly matters if you are holding bitcoins over an extended period of time. No one likes to lose value. However, the value in the long run is what really matters rather than the short term.

I am not sure if this was discussed in the thread previously. But the transaction sent to fsh had a note attached as this link: https://privatepaste.com/e49b2d1ebf
Saying this

"Official Statement:

Our accounts have been compromised, and we have suffered a large loss of data and funds.

We are working to reconstruct balance data from what backups remain. Refunds will be sent to the best of our ability.

We are sorry for the hardships our complacency and ineptitude have caused. We will not be reopening.

DMF and T04D"

It was.

Still, this exact case is what cold wallets are good for. So funds DONT get lost when accounts are compromised. Otherwise it isn't a cold wallet.

Exactly. A cold wallet should protect the majority of the funds in case of a compromise. If data was lost, it might be hard to determine who owns what % of the funds but the funds should be available.

It is a bummer that some people resort to threats and harassment and ruin nice things Sad

1953  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 1BTC GIVEAWAY CONTEST on UPDOWNBOT.BZ on: October 10, 2014, 04:12:51 AM
So you cannot do more than one bet at the same time, is this correct? You must wait for the results of each bet before placing another bet on the site?

I was looking at the Fair Play section and saw
Quote
What is not acceptable?
Making erroneous trades during the time of the bet. Any trades that UpDownBot considers erroneous will be omitted from the index and the bet will be voided.

Sounds like that means don't send a bet while waiting on results of a previous bet if I understand correctly? Not sure why that isn't fair though, but maybe I'm not understanding it correctly.
