1941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / SolarCity + Bitcoin mining on: October 29, 2016, 01:54:17 PM
Recently Elon Musk introduced a new design for solar panels that look like normal ceiling so you don't get the ugly looking regular panel look in your house. I think this will make people more prone to install solar panels on their houses. With this, we may see an increase in Bitcoin mining in a passive way. One house is nothing, but millions of houses mining would make a change.

The only problem i see is that apparently from the air (helicopter view) you can spot that they are solar panels, so this can make governments sanction those who install solar panels without telling the state that you did so. I really hate those fuckers. I wish we can reach a point where solar panels are impossible to tell from regular ceiling even from air distance too, then the total decentralization of electricity will begin since people will not be scared to get caught.

For now we have this

1942  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitDare a Game that could take us to the Moon on: October 29, 2016, 01:40:47 PM
There is already a simple and effective service being developed right now with the new megaupload website. I think Kim Dotcom can move massive amounts of internet traffic and if he can get as much people on his website as he did with the original megaupload, then we are set because we'll go pretty much mainstream then. Well not mainstream but we'll get a big chunk of new people involved, since its a way to get paid and not only "pay with" (like steam)
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be blocked too by the government or isp ?? on: October 29, 2016, 01:21:58 PM
It would be a disaster if they try to go to those lengths to try to stop bitcoin, it would be admitting that bitcoin is a serious threat. I don't see it happening. Even if they act at an ISP level, people will use VPNs to bypass it, and maybe proxies will be set at a protocol level to somehow bypass the ISP block. Governments can't do anything but put fear on people's mind, it doesn't work as we have seen in russia.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you want to become Rich you need to Put Higher bets on: October 23, 2016, 12:24:04 AM
THe only way to make it big is to risk it big time. No big risk, no big win, it's as simple as that to be honest. There's just no other way out to beat the time/money function, you need big risk.
1945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 23, 2016, 12:08:26 AM
I disagree.  McGregor now controls his fate in the UFC.  Even if he doesn't fight Diaz within the next 3 - 5 years, as long as he's winning, he will always be the guy to watch whoever he's fighting.  Without McGregor a Diaz fight will not rake in as much as a McGregor fight.  I think McGregor will fight Diaz again when the time is right.  But Diaz must not be lazy.

McGregor didn't won as convincingly as Nate Diaz, and he said they would fight again, therefore the public is expecting a rematch. If he delays it too much, the public will start complaining about it. Give it one year without a rematch and you will see how people start getting tired of waiting and start calling him out.
1946  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC keep rise again... on: October 23, 2016, 12:05:45 AM
I think red times are coming for all alts. Once BTC starts going towards the new all time high, we will see a lot of alts going negative because people want to be part of the new moon trip.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediction for 2017 - share your views on: October 23, 2016, 12:03:54 AM
I believe Kim Dotcom can really push it to the next level. He gets a lot of hate because he is a controversial persona and can be a bit of a douche but in the moment of truth I think he can deliver and create a mainstream product for Bitcoin.
1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any coins worth gambling some BTC at? on: October 22, 2016, 11:48:50 PM
Im looking to make some quick gains. Any new cashcow like the last ETC pump? that was good. Zcash will pump hard? there's a lot of people talking about it. Im considering buying some but I fear as soon as it hits Polo its going to crash hard.
1949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency is bitcoin cheapest in? on: October 22, 2016, 11:17:32 PM
Price is not necessarly the same on all currencies but the margins are too small to make a profit I would say, it's like the margins between exchanges, it takes too much time to move coins from exchanges so its too risky to do arbitrage.
1950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how strong is bitcoin really? on: October 22, 2016, 11:12:54 PM
Bitcoin is the strongest cryptocurrency that has ever existed, and I dont expect any other crypto to ever take the number one spot away from it. It will always be 80% BTC 20% altcoins.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 22, 2016, 12:50:25 AM
The safe bet remains McGregor win, possibly by TKO or submission. After he wins this, he will go for the Nate Diaz trilogy I presume. I think Nate Diaz said he will not fight again until McGregor fights him again. Tons of money to be made on that third fight.

Then McGregor has him by the balls.  What if he decides not to fight him in three years and decides to go after Aldo and Cruz?  And then defend his title/s vs new comers.  Diaz has to come out and fight whoever's gonna make him climb the LW division ranking to make him a worthy opponent vs McGregor.  He should build himself up and he should not totally rely on the McGregor money machine.

Good point, if McGregor doesn't fight him then he can put Diaz's career on hold.. not good for him. Then again, the fans want to see a 3rd rematch. Nate Diaz KO'd him, McGregor couldn't submit him and had to go for the rounds.. it's on McGregor's roof to demonstrate he is the better fighter. It may backfire for McGregor to avoid him for too long, people may start saying he is ducking the 3rd fight.

Nate Diaz is a far more superior technical fighter than McGregor.  He proved it twice.  It would probably be in McGregor's careers best interest to avoid a third match with Nate the same way he's been avoiding a fight to defend the featherweight belt....The fight with Aldo wasn't even a fight....13 seconds....that's the definition of a lucky punch there!

like it has been pointed out before, he CANT avoid him for too long, or the public will start pressuring him calling him out on being a chicken. People want to see that third rematch, they are 1-1 now, this is a trilogy and whoever avoids the third match will be called out as a ducker.

The collapse of the deutsche bank will start a wave of financial destruction and it will make al ot of big players move their cash and gold and equities and other assets into bitcoin, this will drive the marketcap higher than we ever seen. Segwit and other improvements will help to make Bitcoin 2000+
1953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What software companies should accept Bitcoin? on: October 21, 2016, 10:41:40 PM
What I want? I don't know, I'm using the same browser for years(10+), isn't a popular software, maybe with some donations they can grow more... But I think they receive some money from ads(start page, etc)

# WinRAR

Hahahahahah WinRAR, the free trial forever! They already accept bitcoin as donation or to upgrade it?
WinRAR is the real MVP!

Lol I havent used WinRAR since I was in highschool. I remember we used to share games in floppy disks and some of the files were in rar format and I that is how I learned how to use WinRAR in the DOS days. Nowadays I use 7z. They should accept Bitcoin donations.
1954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ECB Feels Threatened by Bitcoin, Ask EU to Rein in Virtual Currencies on: October 21, 2016, 10:20:23 PM
Its clear taht the governments will try their best to get rid of Bitcoin. Anyone that things governments are going to be positive or even neutral towards bitcoin are delusional. They are going to be attacking bitcoin as soon as possible since bitcoin goes against their war-on-cash agenda.

How bitcoin goes against the war on cash? It's not cash, it's electronic money. One could say that bitcoin is helping the world to go cashless.

It is a way to move money outside of the system which is the point of cash. Paper cash is pretty useless these days beyond local transactions, bitcoin takes this to a global evel and governments hate this, which is why they will try their best to ban it.

1956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much damage would VISA have suffered if they'd hit a transaction limit? on: October 21, 2016, 06:39:40 PM
Not sure why people keep coming up with this comparison for bitcoin to a credit card.
There is personal information behind the service that tracks you in countless ways, hell I was reading that in the UK they want to add biometrics to the credit system. Not just talking eye scans but the way you type, move and locations. So you may get a service that offers a quicker way to move funds but the future is going to be much more controlling as the system looks for ways to track and control the populations.
Speaking of UK I also saw they are thinking of tracking people that watch porn and making sure they are over 18 to watch.
So in doing so are creating a massive data collection to gain control of people. Is this what you want in the every day aspects of living or do you want something that runs counter to these bloodsuckers?

I think it's mostly blockstream haters implying that blockstream purposedly is making suffer from a transaction limit because they think raising the blocksize solves anything. If only it was that easy, unfortunately it's not and we need more than that.
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much damage would VISA have suffered if they'd hit a transaction limit? on: October 21, 2016, 06:25:57 PM
How much damage would VISA have suffered if they'd hit a transaction limit for 6+ months during their growth period?

https://tradeblock.com/bitcoin/historical/1w-f-txs_per_tot-01071

It makes no sense to compare Bitcoin with VISA, since VISA is centralized and Bitcoin is decentralized, therefore it's just absurd.
Once we have the Lightning Network then we could think about competing against VISA, for now we can't compete in terms of speed and volume of transactions with centralized system, but with LN we can conquer the world.

McGregor would be stupid to fight again after the Alvarez fight unless he fights Diaz. If he fights anyone else but Nate Diaz after Alvarez (amusing he wins) then it will be too risky to potentially ruin the 3rd fight.
1959  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: October 20, 2016, 06:03:02 PM
Fiat will not be worthless as long as you can exchange it for good and services. In order for fiat to fall we would need a gigantic event that would be studied thousands of years from now at a roman empire fall tier of happening. We are talking about the biggest fall of empires ever.
1960  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Incentivizing Bitcoin Nodes on: October 20, 2016, 04:56:18 PM
In a perfect world, we would have altruism and millions of nodes, but unfortunately until we find a way to financially compensate the resources needed to keep a node running, it will remain rather low in count, but lets not forget its not only how many nodes there are, but how widespread they are (which is why big blocks are bad).
