1941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 30, 2022, 11:47:05 PM
Back to Inoue and Donaire, I don't have issues on how prepared is the latter. In fact, I believe that he's more than ready for this rematch now. But the real question is, can he defeat Inoue?

According to Donaire, he is confident that he can now take down and deal with Inoue.

Well, as for any boxers, if the question asked to them is about their status of the fight, they will surely answer that they are prepared.

From what I see of Donaire, he knows very well the strategy to beat Inoue but the question is, how he will apply those strategies in the actual fight as that wasn't easy to unleash without meeting some certain factors.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 29, 2022, 11:42:00 PM
These regulations are nothing but another one of those #wtfIsThisAJokeMoments , just because its banned online doesnt mean cockfights will cease to operate.

It's a big help. If you are from the PH, you will see everywhere that everyone is gambling in e-sabong. But since worst cases were reported as mentioned by OP, it ended up being suspended. Until now, no progress or status about those missing persons that got "kidnapped" related to e-sabong.

Obviously, legal cockfight operations are continuous here. The one that halted and suspended is the online version of it. The usual and normal operation of legal cockfighting operations here won't be banned as it's already been here for a long time. Of course, illegal operators who will operate e-sabong will be hunted down.
1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 29, 2022, 11:36:23 PM
This is true. The favorite team still Boston despite Heat beat them on there home court so I will be betting against the majority and choose the Heat this time because I trust coach Erik strategy to control Boston and end them in this final match. Heat is strong if everyone in the team is moving and help Butler to get the space he needed to score freely.

They just need to defend Tatum properly  to limit the score potential of Boston.

Actually, homecourt is not really the case here as both teams established a win on their respective home court. But you are right, Miami Heat is really a tough team if everyone will contribute and not just Jimmy Butler. Actually, his teammates are helping him on the part that isn't on the stat sheet but it shouldn't be always like that as real stats is necessary to do so.

About defending Tatum, yes it's always a key for the Miami Heat since Game 1 to minimize Celtics' offense but knowing this team, they are not just relying on Jayson Tatum mostly in the offense.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 29, 2022, 11:24:48 PM
There are reports that Donaire will have a special guest in Japan when he goes and fight Inoue, this is according to Rachel's Donaire's social media post.

But everyone is speculating that it will be Casimero who will be in ring side. Not sure what is the intention is, maybe they just want to throw off Inoue as both of them have been trash talking and have been in the radar.

I don't see something special here so I don't understand why others take this as a big deal.

If it's really Casimero, why should we think if there's an intention? He just wants to watch the fight, that's it. Anyhow, he is connected to these both boxers and since there's a slim chance for Casimero to fight one of them, he will just watch the show.

Not unless he will step in on the show and announce something, that is the intention. Cheesy

So what Ravena is trying to do here?

Is he playing safe but in the end will put NLEX hanging when he got his contract renewed?
I don't like that, he was thinking that he is a valuable piece of superstar and that the team would go after him, maybe as a sign of respect, he must make his decision final before reaching out the NLEX.

As far as my knowledge about that is concerned, Kiefer Ravena can manage to play at the "whole" PBA All-Filipino Cup Conference that's why even though there's a new contract offered to him in Japan B-league, he can still help NLEX this upcoming conference on their rally. NLEX has no choice though as they are not even active in the trading market if there's a possibility to totally trade Ravena. Even Coach Yeng is interested in keeping him for the team.

We can call it disrespectful if, in the middle of the conference, he left out for the team just to accept the new offer to play in Japan.

Yeah, sounds special, and seems K. Ravena is overrated to me but that's what the agreement they have signed up.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: May 29, 2022, 11:08:38 PM
That's how the bookies sees it, Canelo is still the favorite based on their 2 fights.Obviously he did come from a big lost, but this is not the first time they have fought and he got 1 win from GGG. So the bookies is just about right. Really up to you if you wanted to believed on the initial odds. If you are not then maybe look for other betting options.

Anyhow, for GGG supporters, 3.90 is the best odds you can get in this fight.

Agree with. @3.90 is something you can't usually get to a titleholder and considered a big name in the boxing world regardless if they are in their prime or not. If I remember it right Bivol has @3 odds as an underdog against Canelo and take note he's still in his prime that's why it's just reasonable for GGG to have that decent odds fighting against Canelo.

Personally, I'm considering placing a bet for GGG and will disregard any boxing analysis about his disadvantages or possible flaws. I just feel he will have a good retirement celebration by defeating Canelo in their trilogy match.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 29, 2022, 11:00:30 PM
Miami rely heavily on Jimmy Butler on offense but Boston get score more from all players.

That's actually my concern since Game 1 of their series against the Boston Celtics. Jimmy Butler is really damn good but the adjustment of his teammates is what I looking for. I know Heat is just allowing Butler to be the main guy but if that's always the case, there will be a big problem if Butler will be  a) defended well by the Celtics b) having the worst night c) be injured (of course we don't want that to happen).

Since the series is now in the decisive game, I hope both teams will give us a close and competitive game.

Can't wait to watch the Final playoffs game this year.
1948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 29, 2022, 10:53:37 PM
The good thing in this coming NBA Finals is that we have a balance between two teams, what I mean is there's no team that is heavily favored to win, so bettors can choose between the two and still believe that what team they'll choose will have a great chance of winning.

I think that's not the current situation. In the upcoming NBA Finals, regardless of who will win tonight between Miami Heat and Boston Celtics, the Golden State Warriors will surely be the heavy favorite. I think saying it's "balance" might not be appropriate. Even referring to the current NBA Champion outright odds right now, the odds for those remaining Eastern teams have a wide gap on the Warriors' odds.

But anyhow, I'm hoping regardless of who will in the Eastern Conference Finals, they will give the Warriors a tough competitive game.
1949  Local / Pamilihan / Re: ♛♛♛The Finals - NBA Prediction Tournament♛♛♛ on: May 29, 2022, 10:48:27 PM

Batch 37

My pick: Boston Celtics -2.5

1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 28, 2022, 11:55:37 PM
The fact that these operators of E-Sabong been have some deep connections are already given as they are continually operating on a daily basis in other platform even though there's a ban implemented. They knew the risk but they not afraid because they are paying high officials in any sort of department to give them protection and feed them information, the money for protection is not that big compared to the money they are getting from the bettors in a daily basis.

I think with the current status of the Government's strict compliance regarding e-sabong, no high officials will put their names at risk to protect some illegal operators. In other words, "lie-low".

There should be the right timing for these corrupt officials to do their illegitimate operations. That's how dirty politics works and not just they will just execute something without good timing. And now that there's a new administration coming that is also vocal on keeping the ban on "e-sabong", it's adding more risk for these officials' names to protect illegal operators.

I'm sure there are not many cases today of illegal operators being protected by some officials but instead, they are working on themselves to operate. There's even recent news that police hunt down an online sabong operation and one of the people who attempted to flee injured himself lol.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: May 28, 2022, 11:49:34 PM
And I think Vargas is a strong opponent, so we are going to see Magsayo being tested, if he will respond with a big win, then for sure people will believe that he deserves to be a champion and he has a bright future ahead of him. My prediction is, Magsayo by KO if he wins.

Yes, Vargas' achievement is really a big deal, 35 wins with no defeat yet. Magsayo surely got a good challenger.

However, Vargas resides for a long period in the BantamWeight division while the other hand, Magsayo is already an experienced fighter at the FeatherWeight. There might be a big change in the environment that Vargas might experience entering a much upper-weight class and facing the champion.

That's why maybe others looked at Vargas as a threat to Magsayo because of that 35-0 record and considered the former as an experienced boxer compare to Magsayo. That might be true but since Magsayo is used to fighting at Featherweight, that's already a big advantage for him against Vargas.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Mavericks) on: May 28, 2022, 11:39:32 PM
The Warriors had the best record in NBA history before KD joined.  They didn't need KD, KD needed them to win a ring.  Interestingly, KD and Kyrie's old teams seem to be on the way to the Finals (Warriors & Celtics) while his new superteam was a first round exit that appears to already have been broken up once and will likely get broken up again next year.  I think Golden State will be just fine without KD...

Right. Golden State Warriors are already established as dominant Warriors before Kevin Durant's arrival there. This team is doing good without Kevin Durant much more especially since their bench players are also doing their best this playoffs. It's like there are lots of Splash Brothers there aside from the original duo of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson - which is now finding his shape too after the long rest because of injuries.

Anyways, this series is now over and we can now ask OP to lock this thread.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any changes experienced within body - Gambling??? on: May 28, 2022, 11:24:08 PM
It may not be an allergy but a change in skin that's triggered by stress or mental problems. For instance, children can have rashes that look like an allergic reaction but the real reason for it can be fear or pain. Such rash often appears when they're teething.

Well then, instead of doing some lots of "what if" and speculations, why not just those people who thinks Gambling is the main reason for several changes on their body consult a professional and let these experts do the diagnostics.

If I were in their place and experiencing the same, I will never link my physical changes to gambling since hey, we are talking about physical conditions here. Let the professionals diagnose us instead of doing a self-analysis on our conditions. We might not even know what's our status now and the worst - it's already severe.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: May 28, 2022, 11:06:29 PM
The East is delaying the NBA Finals, LOL..

Not true mate. Smiley There's no such thing as a delay if you meant for the schedule.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals does have a fixed schedule regardless of how early the playoffs series is ended.

That's why the early a team finished a series, the longer their resting period. Since the travel time is now Coast-to-Coast, from East to West, and vice-versa, teams should have a period of good rest before playing at the NBA Finals.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 28, 2022, 11:02:32 PM
Me too. I think that the guy deserves to get a ring and he forced the game 6 to be theirs. Well, it's a do or die next match so, it's the fate deciding factor for him and the team if they'll be the one to be against GSW.

The bottom line is, every players, every teams, that are currently alive in the playoff series deserves to get a ring. They won't reach their respective spots if they didn't give their best. Technically speaking, both Miami Heat and Boston Celtics shows their off-night and best nights already making it difficult to analyze the per-game results. I admit, I too was having a hard time analyzing their game.

In their last game, I honestly even thought that the Celtics will now advance to the Finals by 80% but I'm wrong. The series between Miami Heat and Boston Celtics is really a close match. Since they have now reached the Final game, there should be no room for any mistakes.
1956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: May 28, 2022, 10:54:15 PM
Wow. Pretty unfair odds for GGG. I myself understand that he cannot be the favorite in this fight simply because of his age, but 3.90 against a boxer who was defeated in a previous fight and is perhaps in a crisis? Looks like it's time to bet on GGG. By the way, I don’t know how much it need to believe in Canello after the beating that happened to bet on him with odds of only 1.21.

GGG is now in the retirement period and honestly, I see the odds for him make sense. Even though he did a KnockOut win against Murata in his last fight, the latter is not even considered a heavy opponent for him but still, GGG seems to struggle during the early rounds of that fight and just began to get his momentum in the late rounds until the 9th Round TKO victory for him.

Canelo on the other hand is no doubt still at the peak of his career. Even if he loses to Bivol, they are both in their prime right now and can't be taken as a reference that GGG can still put Canelo on his limit on this match.

@3.90 for GGG is great odds for those who are eyeing for him to win. Who knows GGG still has much gas left on his tank.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 28, 2022, 10:39:04 PM
I can't imagine the amount of money he will receive if he fights it, it's like you say, maybe there is a sheikh who is very interested in seeing these boxers in action, for me they will measure forces organizing a very big event with Myweather, is that this boxer is very controversial and when there is going to be a fight with him, he attracts a lot of attention.

If I understand it right, do you think Mayweather put himself into an exhibition match because of "a good request" by someone highly recognized by him?

Anyhow, disregarding the possible reason/s, Mayweather won't be called Money if he won't do it without an assurance that he will take home big money with just a few minutes or hours of exposure. For those people who are sick of Mayweather's exhibition matches, his career in professional boxing is over and no way he will choose a boxer that he thinks will do heavy damage to him.

It's like more on entertainment and giving chance to others who don't witness the prime of Mayweather Jr.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 28, 2022, 10:33:12 PM

The last post here was May 24th and the thread is now on the 3rd page for the first time. Let's give it a bump.

I know you encounter the news already that Darvin Ham is the new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. He plays as an import for the Talk N Text before. His name got hyped when he enter the PBA because he is part of the Championship Roster of the Detroit Pistons that won a championship against the Los Angeles Lakers way back in 2004. I won't forget that series because I lost my bet that time. Although not much used on the whole series, Darvin Ham is still a champion.

If some guys here watch PBA before, there's an iconic moment between Darvin Ham and Ranidel Ocampo. They both did a facial dunk with each other, first by Darvin Ham then Ranidel gets his revenge. It was called "in your face!" during that time.
1959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 27, 2022, 11:59:10 PM
I was wrong about Mavericks as I thought like they would win two or three games in their series. They gave up on the series very earlier and Warriors became the champions of the Western Conference very easily by 4-1 in total. After seeing them play sharp against Suns before, my expectations were really high from Mavericks in this. But they didn't even get close to Warriors's level I'm afraid. I guess that many people weren't expecting Warriors to finish it this much dominant. I must add that I really liked Thompson in the game too.

They didn't give up but the Golden State Warriors just dominate them early. It's clear that the Warriors and Mavericks have a wide gap.

The Warriors are playing at a high level and I think they have a big chance to be the NBA champion this season. I can't see how teams in the East will deal with the Warriors. Their young guns are also contributing well and they deserved to taste their first NBA title experience.

Mavericks can come back anytime. They are still young. It's a good experience that they faced the championship lineup of the Warriors.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 27, 2022, 11:55:39 PM
Donaire saying that he has improved since their last fight is just a promotional thing for me. Even if he has improved, it won't happen overnight, and considering that he has aged that would be hard also for him to change his fighting style. Donaire was doing good in their first fight, it just that the punches he threw were not enough to knock Inoue out.

If we buy Nonito Donaire's statement, on the other hand, Naoya Inoue is surely improved too. The fact that Inoue already experienced the problems he faced during their first match especially that 2nd-round cut that he receives from Donaire, he will surely do everything not to let allow that to happen again.

I'm sure Inoue already made a strategy for this as he doesn't like to experience again being sent to the hospital because of the heavy damage he received for the first time in his career. With that improve Inoue too, that won't change my mind to still support Donaire.

For a bettor that supports Donaire, it's worth placing a bet for him as we will enjoy the odds provided to him as an underdog.
