1941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: November 30, 2016, 04:15:42 PM
No there is not a safe way to gamble. That is why you are gambling! Gambling has a very high risk but also a high return. Exposing yourself to a high risk means that it is not safe. But similar to what others are saying here, cheating the system would make it safe. Though, the casinos are investing significant amounts of their earnings to secure their gambling operations against cheaters. So cheating the system is out of the question, unless you are a real good programmer. But then again, if you were, you should just create something like Uber and earn billions of dollars a year.

Well there are still people who are very good in programming and they dont create uber. Just like the one who hacked the mtgox and also those who took away btc from primedice. They earned a lot too.

Do you really think mtgox was hacked? That is a funny statement. People in mt.gox ran for it like every other company that declared they were hacked.

Those who try to scam, hack or trick other people for money don't get that lucky everyday. Unlike if you program for something good. Then you have a better chance. Plus if you get that much money from illegal means, then you won't be able to spend that money if you don't launder it first. Which is another problem for bad people.
1942  Other / Meta / Re: Can One have charity donation collection through this forum?? on: November 30, 2016, 03:57:40 PM
I am not against donating or charity. But, if you, Mister OP, would be the one collecting the funds for charity purposes, just forget it. Your purpose may be noble but we have no way to check whether you will really use the funds for what it is intended. If the collector would be a trusted member here, forum members might even try to help.
1943  Economy / Securities / Re: Monthly result for the whole portfolio: +8.7% on: November 30, 2016, 03:15:10 PM
The whole thing is very sketchy! The first things you do is to post this kind of claims on the forum. You can't even back this up. All you have are claims you don't have any proof to back your statements. All you do is post a really attractive investment without showing that you indeed get 10% from your portfolio!

Warning everybody to stay away from OP.
1944  Economy / Economics / Re: Jim Rickards: How to make a fortune before 2018 on: November 30, 2016, 03:00:54 PM
In my opinion, these kinds of guys are the best con-artists the world has ever seen. Most of the time they predict something they think will happen. If it doesn't, they explain why it didn't happen then move on and make new predictions. Then if they do get it right, this is where they shine! They brag about and go "I told you so." They go strutting around and say they are the gods of predicting the future and people believe them. People even pay to see them and hear them talk rubbish.
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: The Illuminati thinks Bitcoin is better than gold on: November 30, 2016, 02:18:46 PM
The illuminati are behind everything! Even the movies and music artists! (Sarcasm)

In case the world will shift to digital currency or cryptocurrency, then we will still expect that the governments will meddle with it. They will create their own digital currency that will replace the paper money. And this digital currency will still represent gold in the state's reserves.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK Members Only on: November 30, 2016, 12:35:04 PM
A got a few questions here. Why is it only available in the UK? Can't people from other countries register in these gambling sites? I would love to try this out if you could share this even to non-UK residents/members. Is this similar to arbitrage betting? How much investment will one need if one can join this program? What's in it for you and you are offering this service?

Thanks in advance.

Not the OP, but I can answer this. The reason why it's only available in the UK is that a lot of online casinos are based in the UK, so UK residents can take advantage of their bonuses and discounts. With matched betting, you are dealing with fiat casinos, where the regulations are more strict. You could pull it off, but it would take a lot of time and effort.

Arbitrage and matched betting are quite similar; you can read about matched betting here.

However, OP still does need to answer some questions, your question about why OP is offering this service is valid and I think it should be answered.

yes,you are correct
there is one more reason: matched betting, along with all other betting, is tax-free in the UK
in matched betting you make money on placing bets with hedging,i.e. you make money from a free bet while betting at a different bookie to cover all the possible results (very simple explanation)
UK citizens enjoy tax free betting so they save money on cross -exchange betting

This makes me want to move to the UK! So this is like arbitrage betting and more. Aside from winning something from arbitrage bets you also earn because of the bonuses you get. Is that right? If so that's a fantastic gambling strategy that would probably make a lot if you know how to do it. And best of all, it's tax-free! Someone sign my migration papers, please.

1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency [ICO Live] on: November 30, 2016, 11:04:25 AM
BitConnect coin uses a special algorithm called the POW/POS to secure the BitConnect Coin network. The moment you acquire BitConnect Coin it becomes an interest bearing asset with 120% return per year through PoS minting I see this coin as a great investment opportunity bearing 10% interest every month without lifting a finger, @ dev can you explain better how this can be achieved because i will like to invest here if the road map or explanations is clear enough.

This is an interesting concept. Investing into this coin would look like a great investment because of the 120% return per year and also the possibility that Bitcoinnect Coins would also grow in value. I'm looking forward to the explanation on how the coins will earn 120% per annum. This is a great and unique concept for a coin.
1949  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to protect your data on: November 29, 2016, 08:02:01 AM
I think OP is just promoting his site on here. That's the main purpose of his post.

Regards protecting data, having a VPN does not technically protect your data but only sends it anonymously over the internet. What if you have viruses and malware that would steal your information? VPNs don't protect against those. OP should have discussed some antiviruses that also accepts Bitcoin as payment.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your favorite gambling games? on: November 29, 2016, 07:39:12 AM
I love dice. I just usually play it using a Martin Gale method and have not won anything from it, in fact, I lost some bitcoins in this. But it's fun and entertaining in my opinion. Nowadays, I play Plinko. It's also a great and exciting one. It gets me excited when I see that the coin might drop to the highest multiplier. Gets me all raved up and adrenaline pumps up. But my rule is always just play for fun, not profits. It's more exciting that way.
1951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: find satoshi? on: November 29, 2016, 07:28:13 AM
What's the point of discussing satoshi anyway? Do people who use paper money or gold in the old ages look for who invented these things? No, they don't. Satoshi hid for a reason. He might have stored a million BTC for all we know that' why he hid. The fact is Satoshi is not a concern we should waste time anymore; he doesn't want to be found. So let's just let him be.
1952  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to mine bitcoins using webhosting? on: November 29, 2016, 07:16:36 AM
You can do it. But you will most probably not earn from it and instead just incur loses paying for the hosting. Regular CPU and other hardware we normally use for hosting does not work well for mining Bitcoins. Nowadays, if you don't use the ASIC miners then you will not win against those miners using ASIC. You're better off just using your webhosting to host a website and earn from advertising.
1953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin battle against multinational companies on: November 29, 2016, 07:10:26 AM
They wouldn't bother mining bitcoins. They will earn more on the sidelines of bitcoin than mining it. Advertising for bitcoin-related companies and enterprises that allow bitcoins are their likely target if Bitcoin does skyrockets in popularity. Unless each bitcoin would rise to an exorbitant price, probably these tech giant companies will try to mine Bitcoins. But that might be a long shot unless Bitcoin gets the popularity and usage to reach that price.
1954  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What kind of service/business would you create if you had funding and.... on: November 28, 2016, 12:06:50 PM
I would create a bitcoin exchange service. This kind of service helps the community get bitcoins and also cash-out bitcoins. Locally in our country, there is only one or two exchange here, and I think there is a high demand now for Bitcoin here in our country and elsewhere. Probably a good service is an exchange that has multiple currency options tat would be available to the whole world.

This is what I want to create also but it seems that there are a lot of bitcoin exchange service already in the community. So what I was thinking if I will going to create a gambling game and the theme of the site would be cock fighting and other some unusual gambling games, real life gambling games that has been digitized.

True there are a lot of them, I just realized. Probably a better one is creating a service that the community needs. I wouldn't want to create another gambling site; there are too much of that. Maybe someone has a excellent idea here just waiting to materialize. I might go through the posts here to look for that very good idea.

1957  Economy / Economics / Re: Will governments create their own cryptocurrency that will replace fiat? on: November 28, 2016, 04:37:54 AM
I think this would be a really cool idea, but how would one get that cryptocurrency, I cannot see a government allowing mining of it. Would they with their unlimited resources mine the crap out of it before letting the general public know? Then would we have to go to the market and trade 20 cans of corn for 1 coin. Would there be a grace period where you could covert the paper money to the crypto

If a government creates a crypto currency then there will also be jobs available for earning that currency as well like fiat, so i don't feel their will be things like mining it or etc as they will all be generated and be in use of the people of that country.

If mining was integrated into the state's cryptocurrency, I think there would cause instability with their currency. Mining would mean units that were mined would not represent the something in the gold reserve of that state. Hence, mining would not be an option if governments would adopt their cryptocurrency. Governments will have control over the amounts released to the public and its generation similar to how fiat is currently being used.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: November 27, 2016, 05:48:42 PM
Smart way to gamble in my opinion is the self-control in the betting. We must limit the number of our bets and do not use the entire income just to gamble because it is very harmful. Just use a few percent of income to gamble. And if you run out you should have to stop and go back again when have income again.

And for every limitation you should just bet small amount always. Because if you will win with that small amount then that is going to be an achievement already. And if you will just lose with that small amount then that is just going to be a fine thing for you. Because you are gambling what you can afford to lose and that is smart.
Yes, by limiting amount of bets and bet in small amounts it will help us. We can play the game several times in gambling with small amounts, and we can also minimize amount of damages if it loses so it will not drain all of our money. That is the right way to play and be able to avoid gambling addiction.
Knowing our intention in gambling is vital, if it's for fun then good, for sure you will have to get the entertainment if you stay discipline. We know gambling is a risky game as some have been addicted and we are not exemption to that, so we have to be careful and play with a small amount of money we can afford to lose.

Fun and entertainment is the primary purpose of gambling. People in the early ages only gambled just to pass the time. Businessmen found this as an excellent opportunity to profit from it and thus the rise of the casinos. Casinos started way before Las Vegas, the infamous gambling city, ever started. The main reason why casinos are still here is that they never lose! So why would you want to play against them if your chances of winning are quite lower than the casinos/house? Hence, just play for fun because that is its purpose since the start.
1959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is the Trojan Horse that will push Bankers and Investors finally to Bitcoin! on: November 27, 2016, 05:20:27 PM
Finally, after this blockchain hype we see right now, attracting so many thinkers , projects and budgets, many of the intelligent will finally debunk the real power of bitcoin itself.

If this is because of its feature to be a mostly uncorrelated investment class, a money transfer system or together with Rootstock on top some smart contract / dapp enabling super asset, who knows?

I say it will.

 Grin
It might be, but personally I doubt that it is going to change the opinions from a majority of bankers and other financial sector workers. From what I know a lot of it is just a proposed blockchain system that bankers want to have so they can monitor their users more effectively, not use Bitcoin along with it.

Also, banks will not yield to bitcoin. Banks and governments have all but negative things to say about bitcoin ever since it has grown in popularity. Most of the recent developments in the legislature in countries around the globe have been to ban or discourage its use. The US has classified it not as currency but a commodity. Which means, Bitcoin will be under different laws with regard owning it. Hence, it does generate adverse effects against holding Bitcoins.

Instead, I think the governments will just develop their own cryptocurrency that would replace paper/fiat currency. However, this will not be mined but it will also be similar to current fiat. It will still represent gold held by the state.
