1941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin,the bedrock of investors. on: November 29, 2022, 04:24:12 AM
Bitcoin has had so many positive impact on people's life especially investors to the extend that they can't do without it,( investing in it.)So many people today who started from the scratch, investing, have found their way in life, and till tomorrow, they will continue to give an encomium on Bitcoin.

I mean anyone can do without bitcoin or any other type of "investment" for that matter, as there's no such thing as one true investment that no on can live without.  Let's also not forget that bitcoin is inherently not even an investment, but a currency that has become an investment.  I think people seem to get themselves in to trouble thinking of it in a matter as an investment only, because it's just simply not.
1942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 29, 2022, 04:19:39 AM
I'm not really sure why but I felt pretty confident about the Chicago Bulls tonight so a put a few satoshis down on them and came away with a nice profit.  Even though I don't think any of the players really had that great of games, seeing them take down a team with a winning record is something they don't seem to do a whole lot of lately so it was really nice to see.
1943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: November 29, 2022, 04:08:35 AM
Bengals have no path to the playoffs I think.

Taking out the top team, nice job nutildah!

Lol anything trailer park boys and you’ve got my attention. I was actually planning on watching a little bit of it after the game tonight.

Speaking of, football hasn’t been very kind to me this year. I’ve don’t a legitimate job of gambling/betting games but when it comes to fantasy football I can’t keep anyone healthy. Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey being the latest to add on to my mile long list. Ah well.
1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 28, 2022, 05:13:58 AM
I can only echo pretty much what others have been saying here already. You can certainly win off of free spins from time to time but the likelihood of actually winning something of any sizable amount or winning every often is just not that likely.

I’ve won on free spins before in the past but it’s been quite some time and I never had won anything of much.
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: November 28, 2022, 01:01:58 AM
Why should it? Finance (and probably investing in general?) is a far better and far more important subject. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are just a subsection of the broader topic that is investing.

Why shouldn’t it? In my opinion it should be taught in schools.  Kt’s  important to talk about as much financial stuff as you can do why limit yourself so much. Personally I think schools overall need to make sweeping changes to the curriculum as so much of it are things that people will simplify never need or end up using going forward.
1946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: Is Bitcoin a weapon or speech? on: November 28, 2022, 12:56:55 AM
Bitcoin a weapon and free speech are really all completely different things. I guess theoretically you could say that it’s a weapon of the people, for the people and by the people. In that sense it’s one of the most powerful weapons ever created in the fact that it’s something the government literally literally couldn’t fully shut down.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2022, 11:14:15 PM
Man what is going on with my Chicago Bulls. Has anyone else been paying any attention to them lately , or I should say for this entire season so far.  More than ever we need Ball badly. Ayo and Patrick Williams are our two biggest young players that we really need to see more out of them.

Let’s hope they can start to turn things aground.
1948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: November 27, 2022, 05:00:10 AM
Dollar cost averaging is the name of the game. It’s certainly not a bad idea to keep a little cash on the sidelines for when or if there comes some huge downturn in the market due to some event, like this stuff with FTX.

My strategy for alts? Outside of Monero, Litecoin and Ethereum..pretty much absolute and utter garbage for 99% of them. Longer term no thanks.  Short term trading, different story.
1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: November 27, 2022, 04:55:42 AM
I don't want to be too quick to pick a team that will win the world cup this time because underdog teams still have the potential to win against strong teams. This World Cup will give us a surprise which will show that each country's performance is good and it is appropriate to play with the superior teams. If the strong teams cannot perform well, they can be eliminated by the underdogs. Maybe Spain and England have a chance to survive until the final but the other teams will try too.
Spain, I think they have big potential to be the champion, when facing costa Rica they showed their quality and from there I believe they have tremendous potential compared to teams from other countries. Since the beginning I have always believed in Spain, there is no reason not to support them.
All the teams competing in the current World Cup have a chance to win but only the team that really has the best performance can beat every opponent. We can choose Spain, which has great potential to be champions but we have seen what happened with Argentina and Germany. We haven't seen the performance of the big and underdog countries. Who knows, there will be other surprises appearing in the next match.

There is definitely not all teams having a chance to win this tournament.  My country, the United States has absolutely no chance at winning this cup. I’m am however quite surprised at how well they’ve been doing so far. Maybe not scoring any goals but not having England score on us was a pretty huge victory in and of itself.

I hope like hell we beat Iran. A team that shouldn’t even be allowed to play in the tournament.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2022, 04:51:22 AM
The Lakers let AD rest to avoid injuries due to fatigue.
They are on the good lead now against the San Antonio Spurs, one more quarter, they need to secure that lead and be good at closing games again.
Schroder is helping out, this is another good news for them as now they can stretch the floor more with many options for their offense.

Utah Jazz trying to upset the Suns in their homecourt too. Both teams trying to stay energetic even after a back-to-back game. 2nd half is on the way.

Both good games. Nice to see LeBron back and putting up big numbers. Anthony Davis being out might lead to speculation they’re seeing how they play without each other as they look at trade options… Nevertheless, it’s good to see LeBron back to chasing the #1 scorer of all time record.

Was great to see the Phoenix Suns win by a point as well. Close game. Smiley

That’s pretty odd seeing two teams play each other in back to back nights. I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw this.  Lebron James and Anthony Davis certainly both played well but let’s be honest here the San Antonio Spurs are a garbage team. In fact they put up way too many points on the lakers tonight.   Lakers don’t see to have any future imo.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 27, 2022, 04:42:09 AM
I‘ve wondered why this sort of thing hasn’t become reality with the internet and crypto. It’s probably a good thing as this sort of inhumane behavior would likely lead to protests. However, I once thought it might be cool to have a crypto gambling site where users could bet on fish fights between Japanese fighting fish, but again, a bit inhumane even if fish are a little less evil due to them not feeling pain. This sort of thing could only bring negativity to Bitcoin, so it’s probably best it doesn’t exist.

Probably but it is thriving on fiat system, specially cockfighting, it's famous in Asia, events are online, gamblers bet. So I don't think it will make any difference or negativity to bitcoin and crypto.

Again, it really up to the society or the government to whether think this is inhumane behavior or not. And if you are a gambler but then are against this kind of cruelty, then just skip it at all.

It’s not up to anyone to decide, there is no decision to be made. Animal fighting of any kind is 100% wrong and unacceptable. I can’t believe some of you are here are willing to justify it as okay, or part of your society/tradition etc.

Culture doesn’t = right.  Take a look at Iran right now. Forcing women to wear certain clothes and do certain things had long been considered “tradition”. Now many Iranians have woken up and realized how utterly ridiculous it is and how wrong it is to not allow for freedom and equal rights.

Sadly so many of you here on this forum have been raised by brainwashing. You weren’t given the chance or education that’s open and free, but rather taught to do and think exactly as you’re told (normally enforced through the words of your scripture, which is of course often taken out of context and used as a weapon of control). The movie “the book of Eli” does an excellent job of showing how this works.

STOP PROMOTING THE TORTURE OF INNOCENT ANIMALS YOU SICK FUCKS (thank you to those who understand right from wrong).
1952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin changed my life on: November 26, 2022, 10:53:43 AM
Bitcoin has changed my life in the sense that it has given me great hope for humanity.  As a financial advisor I understand money, how it's made, distributed, stored etc.  I learned very early on in my career how corrupt banks are.  I found bitcoin in late 2013 and was hooked from the start. I worked on a trading floor at a very large financial company and everyone would see me reading stuff like "Mastering Bitcoin" by Andreas, and I caught a lot of flack.  There was one guy on that floor though that had bought some Litecoin and we would talk crypto.  About a year after I left I got calls, text , emails from all those co-workers telling me "Okay I was wrong". I would simply reply telling them now that they are as skeptical, learn about it, and learn how it can change the freedom of our lives.

Plus the friendships and connections I've made has been awesome.  Making money is cool, but the other stuff matters far more.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Would a Nation of Sports Gamblers Look Like? on: November 26, 2022, 10:42:16 AM
We will know very soon here in the United States.  My state, Illinois, legalized gambling about a year ago. Honestly besides the extra tax income which is great and put to good use (well, some of it) not much has changed here.  There are a shit ton of video poker machines stores allllll over my city, I live in a city of 100k-ish people and I bet we have poker machines set up in at least 4-500 different establishments.

I mostly support the freedom of will.  It's super duper easy to gamble online illegally so why not legalize it and make tax money for the betterment of the city.

Like marijuana legalization here, gambling legalization has made it a better, more free place.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 26, 2022, 10:26:58 AM
This is one of those times where I wish theymos would have implemented some sort of de-merit option.  OP, you are a sick twisted fuck and so is every single one of you on this thread that doesn't condone this.  What on earth is wrong with you people?  I know there's cock fighting illegally here in the west, Mexico mostly, but of course much of Mexico is poor and poorly policed.  It happens here in the US but it's beyond secretive because we wouldn't put up with that. If I ever found out about a cock ring, it would be over quickly.

Why have so many of you eastern world countries taken so long to progress?  Let's be clear, I as an American DO NOT think we are a perfect nation or the best by a long shot or any of that nonsense..but I know we are working on it at least. I mean seriously if you support this go get help for your mental illnesses.  I hope you sick twisted fucks get what you deserve down the road.

Also, don't give me it's "tradition" or anything like that...progress for the love of god. It is NEVER okay to abuse any living creature.
Treat people and your animals better.  Smh, sub-humans.

Cockfighting is controversial in other countries because animals are fighting, but here in Asia, it is pretty normal. Though it is legal here, it only applies to those big events like those held in arenas; when it is held in the backyard, it is illegal. A lot of Asians are betting on this as it is fun, but I am still one of those people who doesn't know how to bet on it as they have a lot of abbreviations that I don't know, but when I see people cheering and shouting, I enjoy watching it.

"I enjoy watching it" .. you need help you sick pathetic little man.

It's awful when in plain XXI Century people still support animal fights. It is even more despicable having someone making money from that. Cock fight is just like a dog fight, it is f%$7&in&/%$/%&$ horrendous. I apologize to tell you but, people who favour this sort of activity should be behind bars for life.
I personally despize people who support animal abuse. I mean, what is wrong with people!? We already enslave animals on industrialized farms. Every day thousands of animals die so that we can eat. Isn't that enough?

Now, animal fights only exist due to the people who place bets, so if you are one of those, I strongly encourage you to refrain from doing so. We have come to a phase in our Human development, where we do not need that sort of savagery anymore. It is not just wars... How the hell are we supposed to build a better world for our children when things like this are not banned?

I understand how you feel, I myself am against animal cruelty, however, cock fighting in some countries had been part of their culture. In Philippines, you can see cockpits in different cities. Older men are addicted in cockfighting they sometimes organize it outside the field or even in their own backyard which is actually illegal. I haven't seen ram fight personally, I've seen them hit their heads on tv and didn't imagine that they could end up dying from it. This is just cruel, however, people will utilize anything they can bet on just for fun.

You know what was apart of our culture here in the US?  Slavery.  Slavery and lots of rape of those slaves.  I know this is hard for someone so small brained as you to understand, but "part of our culture is NOT an excuse for heinous acts.  There's countless pieces of every culture that have been done away with because as we grow and the world ages, we gain intelligence and start to learn right from wrong more and more.  If you're against it, fight against. Fuck your culture.

I can't read any more of these sick posts, just know those of you support this are the scum of this earth.  Amazes me how religious the Eastern world is yet you do shit like this.  Surely your religions don't support this (then again religion is often another joke).
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 26, 2022, 10:16:57 AM
Have been having a lot of fun watching these games.  I do watch with a bit of hesitance being that it's held in a country with a an unethical government, but that said I know not ALL proceeds go to them.  Also hated seeing Iran win today.  Must be weird playing for Iran while your country is going through utter turmoil.  My heart is with the Iranian people who are fighting for their freedoms..maybe these victories can help spread hope.

As for my team, a tie against England was pretty nice.  Sad that I'm happy about that, but of course our best athletes here play anything but soccer professionally, so we will likely never have a chance unless we finally get a player that becomes the worlds best and a few other studs..then maybe lol
1956  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Cold Storage Coins company.. legit or potential scam?! on: November 26, 2022, 03:29:42 AM
And another new website and registration - https://patriotcoins.com/roman-booteen/   a d’Anconia Copper LLC company 11625 Custer Road #110-301 Frisco, Texas 75035,

Despite still having this one up still - which they are trying to sell - https://booteencoins.com/ (a whole other mess, apparently “waiting to go back to Singapore to be able to finish their booteen coins).  Side note - they claimed to be Romans exclusive replica maker at first, I asked Roman if that was true, and he stated he only sells his coins to one buyer and the buyer can do what they please, they are the sole approved replica maker of that specific coin.. The Roman trap coin went from being theirs to sell, to they lost out on the top bid but made a deal with the buyer to replicate some of them, to now stating on the booteen page that Roman gave them permission to make trap coin replicas, which he doesn’t do unless you buy it.

Their story - https://patriotcoins.com/about/ . Playing victim card, leaving out major details where they explain they needed some “fresh air” so went to Asia to find it, settling in on Thailand and Singapore. They claim to be back in Texas now (which coincidentally coincides with Singapores new extradition agreement with the US).  They state they “aren’t hero’s” and have paid off some of their debts, and that if they still owe you anything, to contact them, so they can try and make it right. As you can see above people try and don’t get response.

What’s clear is they just keep making new sites, new registered company’s, sell some stuff and ship and some they don’t, and move on to the next country , website, etc, leaving many high and dry.

Also clear to me now is they use JM Bullion as a way to sell stuff while being able to avoid having any stock on their websites so they can claim “it’s in progress” , and just keep dodging with new sites, 3rd party sellers (they offer affiliate programs (but make you join their facebook page to discuss it).

I messaged JM about this last August, they said “we aren’t clear what you’re asking. I messaged them again yesterday, very curious to see what they say.

Note - I don’t have any sort of personal agenda here . As with many shady coin makers,  I share/expose what I see that is wrong. I can’t let shit slide when I know it’s going to screw people over.  If I don’t keep up with this, they’ll keep doing what they do with less pressure , and likely no one else expose their scams.
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: November 25, 2022, 01:26:06 AM
The entire planet. I’m convinced that he had always planned to come and go just as he did because it doesn’t put a face behind bitcoin, doesn’t put a singular person “in charge” of it which is obviously a good thing for a number of reasons.  I’m not sure it would have ever stood a chance anyway else personally.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 25, 2022, 12:56:02 AM
The World Cup time gets me in to soccer (sorry football) so I was recently doing some digging around..  How the heck is PSG a fair deal..owned by a country , yearly payroll could buy a country lol , I mean seems unfair. So does Real , Barca and the rest of the top 5. I was looking at a list of the worlds best players…PSG and Real have a shit ton of them. Provided they stay healthy, is anyone going to stand a chance , esp against PSG?
1959  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Cold Storage Coins company.. legit or potential scam?! on: November 24, 2022, 12:40:57 PM
Randomly came across a company on insta trying to say they created the MJB coin design and that they have it trademarked..so I thought I’d check in on someone else who stole the design and claims they created it…

Every single website I’ve listed here that this company has used has now been shut down. They seem to currently be operating one main site atm. https://silverstatues.com .  Their TOS is insane. It essentially was made to try and take away any liability of any sort for any reason ..because you know, legit companies always do this (sarcasm). https://silverstatues.com/policies/terms-of-service

Their posts are littered with compliments of never receiving coins paid for… here’s a link to one of the worst one - https://www.instagram.com/p/CK2Hcbvn6E2/?igshid=OTRmMjhlYjM=

Since it will surely be taken down, some examples..

Someone asking where to find a coin they have listed on their insta as for sale ..would you believe the page they directed the customer to , has been taken down , shocking for sure ..

I guess they think if they say this enough they will even believe it, but so they don’t forget ..

1960  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How do you store your physical crypto collectibles? on: November 23, 2022, 10:05:13 PM
Haven’t read any replies, so some of this might be redundant but …

For me it all depends on many factors. Depends on metal type, value, shape/size etc. For precious metals the biggest lesson I’ve learned is never ever buy cheap capsules. I had only ever bought from this company https://air-tites.com/. They are first class quality and service.  I met a fellow collector online who collects a certain type of coin where we are the two biggest collectors of (rare but not popular at all) so we’ve been helping each other collect for years now. Anyways I taught him how to care for and store fine silver coins and exactly where to buy storage items from. Long story short he scored me some insanely rare and absolutely perfect conditioned coins from the 90s and even kindly bought capsules and loaded them all in. When I got them the capsules felt a tiny bit different, with a very slight lip on the edge. He assured me they were from air-tites.com.   Well 2-3 months later upon looking at them, almost every single one had toned. Even despite being in a climate controlled environment (which is also very important). Same happened to his. I asked he send me the site he got the capsules from and sure enough, I’d never heard of the site/company. Capsules aren’t all created equal by a long shot. Most are junk I’ve found. Also, buy capsules tubes to double up (thanks to those on here who recommend this).

Slabbing your best stuff is a good idea. I hold my slabs in special climate tech boxes made specifically for them. I’m skeptical any of them have very legit protection, but it’s nicely organized and makes me feel good lol.

Also, don’t store all your stuff in one place at home. I keep very little to nothing of value at home, and the rest I apply the Ron Swanson storage method (or have I ).. https://youtu.be/l_3_9zK4y-Q

The best easy access storage “holder” I’ve found for coins you want to easily access and in an organized fashion are these hobby boxes/storage container deals. Think they are normally used for like craft hobbies or small tools/nails/screws but work great for coins and hold quite a few.  Also thought I’d share the single coolest coin display I’ve ever come across. Apmex made these as a limited give away for those who bought cases of American eagles, years back. Finally snagged one off eBay. I’ve asked Apmex if they can make more/told them they are dumb if they don’t as I know a lot of people who want them, but they didn’t give a shit. So if anyone knows how to have something exactly like these individual paper weight/magnified metal/glass display pieces made, let me know !
