I just received 1 x E3 that I bought for 800$ awhile back.

Should I use it or sell it?

The label says "190MH"

It is a good question  I would sell it.  You can get 1100-1200 easy for it.  a certain profit

now to all  innosilicon t2 turbo  should do 18th at 1350 watts
bitmain's response

s9i is now 564

https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=000201807231512494571A78yEi20637

Bitmain is simply selling gear cheaper and cheaper.

No one knows how much gear they can build.  they could be able to sell 20,000 s9i's at 500 = 10,000,000 usd and 280 ph goes on network

they dropped the eth price  down to 1350 today
still well above the 800 you paid.

there is a war going on here bitmain just lowers price on gear to fight off innosilicon efficiency

take the profit with a sale for 1200

My small take:

I think what is really biting TSMC is the fact that nvidia screwed up and thought they could milk the 10 series for more than they could imagine;    instead of holding to their usual product release strategy they attempted to milk it....  Th process on the dies was already down.   Its usually cheaper for a second batch of chips.  So;  why did the price keep going up?    That's right.... "artificial inflation" due to "demand".

it all backfired.  and they are hurting TSMC by pushing back and trying to recoup on their stupid mistake;  instead of chalking it as a loss and moving forward.

If they had taken that mistake, and:
1) released a 1080ti with less ram
or
2) sold the overstocked chips at a cut-rate price to sell and drain inventory for the next round

TSMC would have not had such a huge problem. (this aside from the fact that they must plan for the eventuality of these problems in their business model)

In the end;

All of it.... is people fighting to have the biggest slice of the pie.   Some people gotta lose.... and when you risk it big, you can loose it big.

us peons;  just get to ride the waves.

Pretty much spot on.  I miss October November December of 2017 and Jan of 2018

I made  more coin in those 4 months then the previous 24 months.

Asic companies went after gpus. = stupid
Nvidia pushed a lot of non gaming cards = stupid

And they pretty much hurt the game big time.

The game only works well when gpus do well.  Simple reason is the gear adaption is widespread.

Gamers do mine as a rebate on gear.  So if gpus can turn a profit many people have interest .

Kill it off system crashes.

Same thing happened in 2014 ltc was smacking hot.  Asics were built and both btc and ltc crashed.

For now I am bored. The solar end is bogged down in red tape and delays. So I can’t use lots of excess gear.l have six idle s9s and 9 idle l3+

So slow it is boring as heck.

Getting a new bathroom remodel paying a guy hope it works out.

But would anyone think bitmain would have less efficient gear the innosilicon in every category?

I am pretty sure last June 2017 was more profitable than the last quarter of 2017.

I remember with a single RX 470 you could pull in $7 daily with ETH and $2 daily with SC. The other coins like ZEC were pulling in crazy >$10 day with GPUs like the 1080Ti.

Towards the end of the year when BTC and ETH went bonkers to $20K and $1400, respectivately the difficulty was already crazy high and profits were high but not as high as June 2017.

I was not ramped up fully in June  but by sept /oct I was.

remember for me  in the summer the power cost  in the garage is 18 cents.

in oct it is 10 cents.  so i timed full ramp up for sept.

btw btc is over 8200 this morning
and BTG  is over 31

Hi folks,
May you advise if it’s woth getting one of those and if yes, which one?
I have a asrock h110 btc pro+ with 6 Vega’s

Thanks

Youre verry limited when it comes to pcie speed on h110, but a nest x2g solution would work.
Ie put 2 acorns and 4 vega's on a nest x2g.
If you want full boost of vegas, then something like nest x4 should work, 2 acorns and 2x m.2 to pcie x4 adapters and then have the vegas there running x4.

But with such a setup you need to trust that the nest boards dma engine works as they say, and eliminate the need for high throughput data comming to the motherboard.
It might be better to wait and see when the first batch is shipped and the reports gets in.

I got 2 215+ and 1 nest x2g  I will get it with multiple setups to see what I get out of it.

my cost was about 790 usd for that.

ordering a 215+  and then getting the second 215+ with the nest x2g is a safe play

worst case it is a 345 loss which is not terrible.

That T2 turbo getsALLEGES an impressive 75W/TH in efficiency mode = 18TH@1350W
The higher performance modes are less efficient.
Fixed that for you.

well after you did the firmware on the t1 for halong it got pretty close to spec.
it is not for sale as of now.
and it is costly.

bottom line for my solar setup is I could replace the 5 t1's 3 avalon 841's and 3 s9s   they use 14.6 kwatts and give 145th

 8 T2 Turbos  144th and 10800 watts
 9 T2 Turbos  162th and 12150 watts
10 T2 Turbos 180th and 13500 watts

so  the option for 10  is a nice improvement
35th more and 1100 less watts

18.1 th at 1360 watts at the wall  0.075 this number is very good
20.5 th at 1681 watts at the wall  0.082
22.1 th at 1946 watts at the wall  0.088
25.2 th at 2180 watts at the wall  0.086

When I run a T1  at slow speed it does 14.1th at 1297 watts

about 0.092  and it is not crazy loud

I can think  that you may get 18th at 1400 = 0.077 and not be that loud.

the question is what will be your service from them when they break.

I also think this will force more pools to do asic boost

assuming they use asic boost.

as 0.075- 0.077  is really good.

the chinese have kicked japans ass

this will hit market ahead of japans  gmo.

and this will do more efficient 0.075 vs 0.082

japan better look at some tweaking to the software

I placed an order for 1  it is 17.531 ltc    all shipping and psu

that is a locked in price  I have 2 hours to pay.

So  I am hoping  for a sharp LTC price drop

say from 83 usd to 70 usd

I will then get it.

that is not the correct T2  it is the plain T2

the T2 turbo is not released

I fortunately caught the error by looking at the thread an biota pointed out it was the older T2 not the new T2 Turbo.

The T2 Turbo   could be worth using.  When it releases.

well almost but I was too busy and did not.

Saw these are now available for sale.

Think I'm just going to buy and HODL $1,118 USD worth of BTC instead.

Please fix this is wrong  This is the older model

Not the T2 Turbo!!
19472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon announces Terminator T2 turbo 18-24TH/s on: July 23, 2018, 09:55:29 PM
Yeah but that's the normal T2 version not the turbo version, its been available for a few weeks now, the price was down to $1080 for a while but they put it back up a bit last week.

missed that good thing I did not buy it. thank you

Think I'm just going to buy and HODL $1,118 USD worth of BTC instead.

this costs  1486  usd shipped to Howell, NJ USA

That  is more then I want to spend  but  it is very tempting to buy.

I just got an email  which gives me a 2 hour window to pay.
I chose ltc  because it pays more quickly.

They want 17.531 ltc

and that is locked in for 2 hours.

If LTC drops  in the next 90 minutes I could get a better deal since it will cost less to buy.

both my tremors are fine I use mac and chrome.

the op  if real and not a troll

did something really silly   if he is telling the truth.

here is how I update my trezor wallets.

I empty the black one into the white one.

I have 2 trezor's one white one black.

I leave  like 0.00001 BTC in the black one
and 0.00001 LTC in the black one
and 0.00001 BTG in the black one.

I check my seeds.  and I do  the update for the mostly empty black one.

I then fire up the black one and see if my tiny bit of coins survived.   they did  and have done so for every update I ever did on my trezor wallets.

Once I know the black is on new firmware I add back 1 BTG
I check the black wallet to see if there is 1.00001 BTG
I then add back 1 LTC  I check to see if there is now 1.00001 LTC
I then add back .00100 BTC  I check to see if there is now 0.00101 BTC

I wait a  day  I then empty the white wallet  into the black one

repeat all of the above wait a day if all is good  restore the white to the former coin level and make sure the black is at the former coin level.

I also have  2 core 16 .2 wallets

I also have a coinbase wallet

I have some exchange coins and I am very careful about never having all coins in one spot.

To the op if you really screwed up or if trezor.io screwed up I hope it gets fixed.

What I have on that HD screenshot is a 12in register with 16in duct to fit over the gable fan. I would maybe want 6ft of ducting at most. just enough to reach the fan suspended from the rafters. Thoughts on those diameters?

maybe.

I can do  12 x 1350 = 16200 watts with 2  gable fans  and no space

so  3200 cfm  is moving enough air   to cool 1350 watts

but the fans are both 12 inches the cable vents are both 16 inches

I have two not one and the spacing from the gear is under 1 foot.

if you have 8 x 1350 = 10800 watts

your one fan is 2350 cfm

you have one 12 inch hole not 2
and you move  the air 6 to 7 feet.

I think it could work but you may be short.
