I agree with Seth Estrada, the "Nest" products sound REALLY cool.  Easily plug in various Acorn units into a pcie 8x/16 x slot.  even almost pushed me over my reluctance to spend alt coins at this point in time...  still though.. rough time to be spending coins in this market

I am thinking a 2 acorn 215+ nest would be nice in some of my mobos.

I ordered 2 x 215+ and the  2 card nest.  Should be fun to try out.

doing a decent size  rental  for a few days

That 47TH looks so much nicer than 9TH in the old thread. Smiley

yeah but nicehash bumped it off last night because the diff is set at 260,000  and nicehash wants 1,000,000

if the pool owner would give us a higher diff port we could rent from nice hash  with zero issues
19584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 14, 2018, 02:01:53 PM
Anyone have seen any piece of software for this ?

yes

http://www.squirrelsresearch.com/sqrl-miner/

@gpuhoarder

this order is paid for order number 000000482

I used coinpayments  and really struggled to get it to work

I know you are busy today.  I had difficulty getting orders done and paid with coin payments. I did get one order in and it has been paid  so I hope it will simply be marked paid. and not canceled.. This is order number 000000482 and as of now it is marked canceled.

Pdf have been attached

I am sorry for the confusion but coin payments was very difficult to work with.

Thanks again,

Philip A....

So  I have 2 orders paid for  1 is to themineority  for 1 acorn 215+ this has been paid and it seems to be good.

I is to squirrelsreasearch   for 1 acorn 215+ and a x2g nest  about 445 usd    this has been paid and it was canceled.

I do not expect your personal reply or service for the order..number 000000482

however it would be nice to see it fixed and marked paid since you have the btc sent from coinpayments.

I sent a pm to gpuhoarder and I am looking forward to this being corrected.
19585  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BLOCK PARTY] ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: July 14, 2018, 01:06:16 PM
... what would be the bonus for him?

I've wondered about that for a while too! -ck, any easy way to estimate?

It's always been a small reward for small miners. It's approximately equal to the minimum payout threshold for the pool so if you were always below threshold, it would start putting you into the next payouts list.

I've been tempted to increase it but if I increase it too much that would start biasing towards the biggest miner, taking away from everyone else and we only really have one very big miner.

And just for the record, here is the equation:
herp = sqrt(MIN(sdiff, network_diff) / diff) * diff / 2;

Current network diff is 5.3 trillion, and being an S9 his mining diff would have been about 10k.

So the block solving share would have counted for about 115 million HERP when a normal share at 10k diff averages 10k.

And here I was about to post some random beer pic.

Seems like a large increase from 1 hash = 1 hash. 11.5k% up, lotteries are fun. Thinking I'll drink the winderlea. Cause fuck, it was a nice run that's now making four days seem long. I blame philipma's lack of menu. just sayin'.

Got busy planning a new bathroom remodel.  Going for 2 racks of lamb ribs. One for the wife one for me.  Dessert will be Mt Rainier cherries and Hammonton New Jersey blueberries piled on top of greek yogurt which will have a sprinkling of sliced almonds.

May skip drinking of alcohol and simply go with black coffee.  Of course I can pour a few shots of  homemade vanilla vodka in it. Grin

I suppose I'm over thinking now. Should really just box out some gable fans in the ceiling and let my wife pick the covers.

Gable fans are pretty good.

Shocked Shocked Shocked

19588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 14, 2018, 02:08:21 AM
I have multiple boards for these that have the right lanes.

I wish the order would be corrected as I may go for 2 more 215+ and a second 2 card holder.
19589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 14, 2018, 01:30:35 AM
Why not set up 32 Acorn CLE 215+s on a octominer and let them mine by themselves using little power.

Board does not have enough quality slots.

I think 3.0 pcie are better then 1.0 pcie

I am not sure that board is good enough.

This gear looks like 2card and 4card holders on boards may kick ass.
19590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 14, 2018, 12:23:43 AM
I would have like to see you test the 4 card board.

At this moment I am just hoping they fix the error and credit me for the order made for the 2 card board and the 1 215+

The mineority had smoother orders and sold me an august batch.

the 215+ from squirrels is listed for september.

I can not justify  ordering september gear.  So I am done for now.

I did get an email from squirrels it was an auto bot.

I will let you know what they do about the canceled order and the funds I have paid.
19591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 14, 2018, 12:17:23 AM
@yankees

I had a ton of problems putting orders in today

as of this moment  my orders are not marked correctly.

first order did not go to coin payments I gave up and saw the option to get one from the mine0rity.

so 1 dead order of 1 215+
1 good order of 1 215+  this seems to be fully credited

I went back to order again I saw the option for the 2 card holder Could not find the option on themineority but it did make an order on squirrelsresearch
coin payments would not take the coin  so 2 dead orders on squirrels 1 good on themineority

I said f it went out and about tried again

said  I will order the 4 card holder and 1 2 card holder and 3x 215 +  came to 1250 usd I said too much on sites that just fuck up I canceled it.

so 2 dead orders that would not work with coin payments
1 cancelled order by me 1 good order to minority
I tried 1 last time

on squirrels placed a 2 card holder order and 1 215 +  about 440  and coin payments worked took my money.

and squirrels  canceled this order said I had 2 dead orders and a canceled one so we are cancelling this order

but I paid in btc and coin payments said deal with squirrels so I am in the following spot

780 or so made in btc 340  to themineority for 1 215+  seems good.

440 made to squirrels for 1 2 card holder and 1 215+   money is paid order is marked cancelled

too bad I had so many issues

19592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 13, 2018, 11:56:21 PM
Can someone clarify the requirement for Acorn in relation to PCIE bandwidth? I know the Acorn itself is M.2 but do the GPUs it accelerates have to be on full speed PCIE slots, ie. can Acorn accelerate GPUs that are on 1X risers?

I have AMD and NVIDIA rigs on Asrock BTC 110+ plus boards with various numbers of GPUs on them using 1x risers. This board has has an M.2 slot I can put an Acorn into but I am not clear if the Acorn requires the target GPUs to be on a faster PCIE connection

I am getting 2 acorn 215+  putting it into a pcie slot holder

I have plenty of boards with lots of slots.

this should be easy peasy.

I may just run  2 acorn miners like below

19593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 13, 2018, 09:59:17 PM
so if i had one CLE-215+ on a rig with 6 1080 TI's...what would the net performance gain for that entire rig?   Or will one CLE-215+ only apply to 1-2 gpu's?

1 or 2 gpu's

I ordered   the 2 card carry case.

and 1 215+    from squirrels

so I have 2 215+  and a 2 card carry case.  spent more then 730usd
19594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 13, 2018, 07:36:35 PM
I could not order August from squirrels research.com  it did allow me to order sept but then referred me to coin payments which
did not work.

However there was an option to order from themineority

I tried that link and was able to order a 215+ for august I was also given a coin payments  btc address that worked

I decided to buy 1 piece not 2 as I did not want to order from themineority.
So maybe I will get one in august from ohgoditsagirl and co.

19595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 13, 2018, 04:15:32 PM
12:15 pm EST  and can not order.

Which makes sense as it is early.

I will be buying 2 of them  215+  at 330.00 + 330.00 = 660

Note the day is FRI the 13th of July 2018

Ship date is august for first batch.

The following below is clarification:

To new people  ship date is august 31st not august 1st.  ie they can ship first batch as late as august 31st and legally be on time.  to further clarify it is an estimated date.

I will order the 2 as I am interested in having a few of them.

Is this pool still active?

yes, it is still active.

We have not heard from the pool admin in a long time

no luck at hitting a block for quite a while.

it really would be nice if he setup a high rental  diff  I would mine some rental with nicehash
19597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Acorn M.2 FPGA based GPU Accelerator on: July 13, 2018, 01:48:51 PM
Hi,

most of news regarding this are handled thru discord. I think the info here lacks behind because gpuhorder and the other guys have a
a lot to do in the background. There are thousands of questions on discord.

Pre-order should start today at 1pm EST. So a few hours left.

Max Order quantity would be 16 Acorns per order as gpuhorder wrote.

Thanks for update.

I will be getting them today.
19598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's Cuda Equihash Miner 0.3 on: July 13, 2018, 01:20:20 PM
Miner is very stable on smos. 3.0 version using 8 1080tis

Not sure if I am paying a fee but I did not click no fee and don’t mind giving a fee to ewbf

Maybe he can tell us what the standard fee is on smos 3.0

Btw I am almost up to 1 Btg earned on miningpoolhub

Which will roll over to my trezor address.

I would like to mine this for a few months or 50 btg.

I think btg May go higher then it is at the moment.
19599  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4+ EH] Slush Pool (slushpool.com); Overt AsicBoost; World First Mining Pool on: July 13, 2018, 01:00:31 PM
I don't mine much here  but  it is easy to show  the 400ph miner's stats  and luck.

Here is a very simple idea for you  show the top miners luck.  your pool has 4500ph correct?

so 45 ph is 1 percent of that

So why not pay a coder to show  a page of the top miners 1% of the pool or more and their luck.

The 1%  could be adjusted if need be.

I sure kano  would code that for you  toss him some bitcoin and he could write the stat page for you in a heartbeat  right kano?

Be sure to read the fine print below

bolded is a joke, but kano would do a good job for you
19600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereal Capital BLACKBOX 16-Slot High Performance Computing Systems on: July 13, 2018, 12:46:38 PM
This looks amazing.  What are the options going forward to be able to add FPGA boards one at a time?  For example I am a small miner.  So a chassis like this would be awesome to be able to add cards as I go.  However I see in this first batch of FPGA boards are all gone.  What is the feeling or suggestions for the small guys?  Can you mix and match GPU's and FPGA boards?  Any idea if we are going to see more FPGA boards?

Awesome project. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.  Thanks.

We are still working on the integration of the FGPA's into the OS, so its unknown whether 'mixing and matching' GPU's and FPGA's will be possible, hopefully it will be but I can't promise that yet.

As for more Xilinx BCU1525 FPGA boards, that is really with Xilinx and the group buy organisers (GPUHoarder and senseless), so I can't answer that. The Xilinx VCU1525 FPGA's will continue to be available via regular distribution channels such as Avnet as they were previously of course.

We plan to offer a system fully loaded with 64 x Acorn M.2 form factor FPGA's from Squirrels Research Labs (SQRL) in future (at least 3 months from now).

offer that  with  4 premade options for the acorn 2

16x
32x
48x
64x

make it  that  acorns ordered and be added 4 at a time on a card

it will sell better this way.

If you send me this  with 2x   4 pack  cards of acorn 2 I can demo it with 1 card of 4 and then add  a second card  of 4   do it all on youtube and do a thread here.

Many of us  would prefer to ramp up acorn 2's or fpga 1525's

I am thinking  that acorn 2 and fpga will  mix and match.  Even if it does not blend with gpus and fpga's  it may blend with   acorns and gpus  .

Selling this a a mostly empty chassis  with add-on   will appeal to the 1x 30 amp 240 volt circuit garage miner.
