the hacker DOES have access to satoshi's email. but he is also faking information. such as the cardreaderfactory email order. and also other things like pretending the bitcoin creator had a btc-e account.

http://motherboard.vice.com/read/the-satoshi-nakamoto-email-hacker-says-hes-negotiating-with-the-bitcoin-founder (half way down the article).

after all the bitcoin creator disappeared BEFORE btc-e was launched.(thus the username on btc-e is not the bitcoin creator but someone pretending to be him)

it appears that the article writer linked above, started reading this topic and then made up an interview using the screengrab links from this very topic and other fake information.

all we can be sure of is that bitoin itself cant be hacked and that this drama of who has his email is meaningless

True.
Even the originally signed message will not change the price of BTC anymore. Only dumps from his wallets will cause some panic.

1962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshin@gmx.com is compromised on: September 16, 2014, 08:11:59 AM
Also possible that SN has been killed years ago and his email account was compromised since then. Years later they tried to hide their tracks by acting like SN was still alive at that time, when they posted "I am not Dorian Nakamoto". They didn't extract the PGP key from SN, so they weren't able to sign the message as a proof, but at least it looks kinda legit using his p2pf account to post this.

6 month later they make up a story about an idiot hacker who is trying to make money with the identity of SN, because he somehow hacked satoshin@gmx.com and even was able to send emails to long time members of bitcointalk.org and others as a proof that Nakamotos email account has indeed been compromised. Hacker makes a screenshot of the incoming folder of SN email account and states that "Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive and his identity is going to be revealed after the payment of 25 BTC"
He fails to get the big money (only 1.5 BTC) and even was doxxed by greaterninja another bitcoitalk.org hero member.
Hacker then vanishes. with his knowledge of who is SN and his gmx account gets finally closed.

This makes a good movie...

I don't believe in this "idiot hacker" story at all.

1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto? on: September 14, 2014, 11:11:51 AM
Possible, but very unlikely.
Anyway, if someone claims to be him and has no proof, noone should ever believe him.
1965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto? on: September 14, 2014, 08:51:43 AM
sign his PGP key or prove that he owns the wallet with 1 million bitcoins.

+1

Both need a password, that most likely only the original "Satoshi Nakamoto" knows. If he would write a message now, after years of silence, he would definitely use one, or even better, both possibilities to proof its authenticity. He would not simply forget that for sure.
1966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshin@gmx.com is compromised on: September 14, 2014, 08:49:39 AM
I believe that post when he stated "I am not Dorian" is from SN. From the logs of the emails that were posted, the hacker just received access right before he sent the email to theymos. So, I believe that earlier post is legit...

Why didn't he sign that message to proof it was legit?
No one questioned if the post was legit or not. It was assumed by the community that it was.

Not true. Some people need proof before they classify a message as "legit". Satoshi would not forget to sign it if he wanted everybody to believe it was him without a doubt.
He found it important enough to break his silence after years to post this strange message, but forgot to sign it to proof it was legit? No way...

If it was the real Satoshi who wrote "I am not ..", he would definitely have signed the message, as he wanted the people to believe that it really was him. He would never forget that. So it was not him.
1969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshin@gmx.com is compromised on: September 10, 2014, 12:42:46 PM
This whole story stinks. I don't belive in this "random dumb script kid hacks Satoshi Nakamotos email account" story at all.
There is someone simply trying to let us think Satoshi is still alive.

oh this shit again? You have zero proof satoshi is dead and you've stated that over and over in your threads.

My threads???
Btw. you also have zero proof that he is alive and everything is pointing to Satoshis death, rather than to his wish to hide and stay anonymous.

If Satoshi was alive and was trying to be anonymous:

- he would have changed all of his passwords, after finding out that his accounts were compromised back when the "I am not ..." mesage was posted.
- after all this gmx mess, he would certainly have more reason to change his passwords and let the people know that it was not him sending the messages, but a random hacker.
- he would have deleted all emails that could compromise him and he would have changed the secondary email.
- he would have changed his email accounts and never would use his old ones anymore.

This story on wired.com: http://www.wired.com/2014/09/satoshi/ also says, that the hacker knows Satoshi's identity and that he was actually knowing that SN is still alive and that SN was still using his satoshin gmx account after his disappearance.

So,

If Satoshi was dead

- it explains why he never moved a Satoshi from his wallet after disappearance
- it explains why he suddenly stopped all of his activity
- it explains why he never changed his passwords after beeing compromised by hackers

I pretty much believe that SN died back in the days when he disappeared suddenly.

Interesting is, that in both occasions, the "I am not ..." posting AND this wired article is indicating that Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive.

Some Questions:

If SN was actually dead, why would the hacker do what he is doing after compromising his accounts a long time ago?

How could a hacker, that doesn't seem to act very smart, hack into Satoshis email account after hordes of hackers worldwide were trying this for years?

All this p2pfoundation hack AND hacking gmx AND the wired story about selling Satoshis identity for 12000USD makes no sense to me. He could get ALOT more from SN if he really knows his identity and SN was alive and trying to hide. Is he really that dumb?

Doesn't it look a lot more like sombody is desperately trying to let the people think, that Satoshi Nakamoto was still alive?

Wait, let me put my tinfoilhat on, before I continue .....................................................

I can't and I don't need to provide a proof for this, but the FBI surely has some which I believe they have.

Some of the "Dread Pirate Roberts" fanboys should not forget that he also hired hitmen to kill adversaries.  Nobody was actually killed, but that only because the FBI was setting up a trap including fake pictures of a "done job". He deserves any sentence for that.

To be the new CEO you have to get rid of me first.

If it's not documented on the internet, then your claim is not true... With all due respect.

So everything that existed before and besides the internet is not true? Man, am I old....
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: was the "i'm not dorian nakamoto" post geniune ? on: September 03, 2014, 04:52:09 AM
Fact is that since he wrote that post it is pretty obvious that he is still alive and lurks the forum.

Fact is: He didn't write that post and there is no proof that he is still around.
1977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Satoshi come back and tell us what he/her thinks about the block size? on: September 01, 2014, 05:42:27 AM
R.I.P. Satoshi.
1978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: was the "i'm not dorian nakamoto" post geniune ? on: August 31, 2014, 08:00:45 AM
He didn't sign that message. So if he really wanted everybody to believe that he was the "real" Satoshi Nakamoto he definitely would have signed the message. If he was still alive he would know about the importance to sign the message as a proof for all the "crypto guys" to believe it was him.
Both, the unspent fortune plus the unsigned message (you can't sign a message when you don't have the private key) is leading to the death of Satoshi Nakamoto.

The sudden end of his writings was happening just after the CIA had raised interest and got involved in Bitcoin. Could be coincidence, but also could point to the reason of his disappearance.

The message could have been dropped for everybody to believe, that at the time of that message he was alive. No key, no sign, no proof, so to me Satoshi is still dead. R.I.P.
