1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: June 18, 2022, 05:14:06 AM
That is already one sign that LHW is not for him, so we don't know why they decided to face Bivol, a young and pure 175 lbs and a champion at that division.

Canelo is on the purpose to face every champions at a much higher weight class that's why he decided to moved up. He also achieved being the undisputed champion and what's next to his career is to dominate the upper weight class but he failed defeating Dmitry Bivol.

Everyone thinks that Canelo won't lose at this point of his career but Bivol make it possible. Canelo even warned that he should not go straight for a rematch with Bivol or else the same result will happened.

I'm just wondering if GGG will beat Canelo here, what's next for Canelo? A rematch with Bivol won't be happened.

I guess Manny Pacquiao setting the trends, going up in weight as high as 154 lbs if I'm not mistaken and then winning 8 belts. the advantage of Manny though is that he started at smaller weight that's why he has good chance of growing. As compare to Canelo who is already huge in the first place, started at 147 lbs, but settled in the 154 lbs to 168 lbs. Then going up as high as 175 lbs but as others said, everyone has his limits.

Canelo can still fight even if he losses to GGG. But he needs to beat a good name fighter to have his name still at the top. Possible that the rematch with Bivol, promoters will have to milk him because they know he still has a lot of fans.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 18, 2022, 01:22:44 AM
Happy to see Stephen Curry finally got his first NBA Finals MVP. First it was Andre Iguodala who shines on their first championship series then Kevin Durant got the 2 Finals MVP later on. Curry deserves that Finals MVP that he is targeting for long. He now becomes the first player winning the NBA Conference Finals MVP and NBA Finals MVP.

Andrew Wiggins almost took the Finals MVP if he is consistent from Game 1. Another shadow again to Steph Curry if ever as Finals MVP are based on Finals series and it doesn't exclude the whole playoffs series.

Wiggins was on fire in game 5 and last night as well, but it wasn't even close in my opinion.  Curry is on the way to becoming a GOAT.  He's such an amazing player; at his size and age to among the most productive players in the league.  Curry scored 187 points in the Finals, vs. 110 for Wiggins.  Just for that alone.  Curry was double-teamed for most of his least productive game.  Wiggins benefited to the tune of 26 points in his most productive game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy Wiggins is on the team, but to think that he almost took the MVP away from Curry just shows how ridiculous the voting can be.

I agree, Wiggins has his 5 minutes of fame sort of in game 5 at home. But Curry is the one carrying the team not just in this finals against the Celtics, but all throughout the series.

But for sure Wiggins understand that, it is a learning experience for him to be with the best organizations right now in the NBA and winning his first, that's already a good resume for him.
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 months low, no better time than now. on: June 17, 2022, 07:57:34 AM
So much have been in the fore play in Bitcoin and to that a lot of issues have forced Bitcoin to behave in the current behavior, from sec calling Bitcoin an anti-environment and eco friendly even though we know all this are campaign of fallacy championed by anti Bitcoin crusader.

But we have heard the same rhetorics over and over again, so this is not something new that really cause the price to go down recently.

And as others have said, not sure where you get that 8 month low, maybe from the last all time high of $69k to the current price?

Again, this argument will continue to go in the next 10 years and I doubt that the anti-bitcoiner will stop. They will just rub it in when we are in a bear market to cause more havoc in the ecosystem.
1964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bottom is Actually In on: June 17, 2022, 02:44:34 AM
I think many bought at the 200 WMA around $22222 and many are buying the $20K wall. However it looks like the wall is getting eaten and most likely in the next 24-48 hours it might break.

If we close on Sunday under the 200WMA it will mean that the technical signal is no longer reliable. The next 72 hours are very critical.

Tomorrow will be a huge day due to the stock option expiry and will provide lots of volatility.

True, and speaking of options expiration, bitcoin future will have it's last trade June 24 and then settlement in June 27.

So along the way as what previous data shows, we might see price going lower and maybe it will go below $20k. So regardless of what the TA is pointing, there could be no validation and yes, no longer reliable. So I'm still expecting worst, I thought that June might be a good month for us, but it seems we don't have any respite from the bears.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 17, 2022, 01:40:58 AM
Not a great start for the Warriors, letting the Celtics get a 12-2 lead to start the game. Otto Porter is getting exposed out there on every play. Some NBA players just don’t have what it takes to perform at the highest level and it shows. The Warriors better replace Porter immediately. He’s being hunted on defense, turning the ball over and missing open shots on offense, and the game JUST started. I hope Kerr makes a move during this timeout and doesn’t look back.

Yes, that's what I also said in the previous thread. But after the time out, Warriors got back on it's feet and now have the lead at the end of the first quarter.

I think Klay Thompson is going to push himself in this game 6. And continue his monicker of game 6 Klay. But we will see, Tatum and Celtics, this is a must win for them. They really need to show up in this game otherwise, it will be over for them.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 17, 2022, 01:15:36 AM
I might go with the Celtics home team win, I know that the consensus that the Warriors is going to win the championship and the next game to do that. But Celtics will have a final push in Boston Garden. The crowd are going to give them a big morale boost. Still up to him to make a good run in the first half and not allow GSW to have the tempo here like in game 4. GSW did manage to keep up with them, and Celtics should not choke in the last 5 minutes of the game if they have the lead. Maybe I will throw a few sats on them at handicap to extend to game 7.
Even as many analysts and NBA fans think this will end in Game 6 by a Warriors win in the Garden, the Celtics are still the favorites when it comes to our bookies. You need -4.5 to have a good profit in this.
But for those who will risk it for a Warriors win, it will be x2.40 money line. Kind of tempting to just bet for the Warriors and seal it.  Cheesy
Any room for errors is very crucial in this game and I don't think the Warriors want to prolong this series and end up being cornered in their home.
Winning on-road may not be that much fun without the support of fans but it takes off that thorn being in a stressful Game 7.

Right, just about that handicap for the Celtics in order for us to win big. The game just started though, and just like the previous game here, Boston on a hot start, 10-0 run.

So we will see if they can maintain their hot shooting. It's too early to say, Warriors has like 2 bad passes already as the defense of Boston looks solid in the first couple of minutes.
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Trading Volume an important metric ? on: June 16, 2022, 06:32:45 AM
It certainly is important although market capitalization and the roadmaps added with the overall progression of the project is a lot more important.
You definitely could judge how liquid the market of an altcoin is by simply looking at the trading volume but if it's already beyond 1 mill I guess it's better if you take a look into the overall market capitalization and the development of an altcoins instead, since that's gonna be the ones that decide if a project gonna hits its highest ATH or just gonna go down instead.

Yes, but it's not the only metrics that we need to look up. There are a lot that can really influence or at least a indicator where the price will be going.

Top 10 altcoins are liquid already, but the question is the rest because some of them are being used for pump and dump, artificially increasing the trading volume. While others, there are no movement at all.
1968  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your fill the bag Bitcoin price? on: June 16, 2022, 05:51:43 AM
If calculated on average the average bitcoin that I save is at $ 52k, the mistake that occurs with me is buying when the price of rising, the highest price I have bought is around $ 62k, and once sold in April when the price of $ 38k, when the price Then red like a few days ago then there was no choice for me other than hold and not panic.

Wow, anyhow, it gives you a good lesson to learn, not to buy at the top price. Don't worry though, you are not the only one who had experienced this before and you are not the last. The good thing is that you should take his whole experience and make it a positive for you.

I think others are very happy to see the price in recent days and could be the price ($20k-$22k), that they fill their bags. Still very cheap, even though we have somewhat gain 5% in the last 24 hours.

1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 16, 2022, 12:33:38 AM
Spence has the 3 belts (WBC, IBF, and WBA recently from defeating Ugas) so he has done more cleaning in this division than Crawford did because he only got the WBO belt since 2018.

That is because  Terence Crawford never had a chance to compete with big names under Top Rank promotions which he always requested. Also, the fact that Spence is dodging Crawford because the latter thinks it's not worth his time. Spence on the other hand always got his preferred fight and make sure he will win all his title fights and that's what he is today claiming 3 Championship belts under WBC, IBF, and WBA as you have mentioned.

In Terence Crawford's fight history, the expected fight against Spence will be the biggest fight in his career. If he was able to unify all the Welterweight titles beating Spence if ever, Crawford will now begin to move up weight to extend some good credentials on his career. He has lots of targets if successfully defeated Spence in the process.

+1 on this, this is so true, Spence had the better opportunity to face champions because they all worked under the powerful boxing promoter in Al Haymon.

While Crawford is on the Top Rank banner and obviously can't make a decent fight because all of the good WW are under Al Haymon. But since he has separated from Top Rank, now we see that this fight can be made.
1971  Economy / Economics / Re: Crashes are The Best Times to Get Rich - Robert Kiyosaki on: June 15, 2022, 07:05:43 AM
And now that we are in a crash again, this is another best time to get rich but accumulating a lot of BTC. We don't know though if it will still continue to go down or this might be the lowest low for this year. But still, we don't need to wait for another perfect opportunity. Just DCA or just buy in chunk in you have the money. This kind of opportunity might not come again, so better take that advantage.
1972  Economy / Speculation / Re: $13,000 is quite possible this week on: June 15, 2022, 06:17:54 AM
Well it doesn't take a genius to see that's it's possible for the price to even go lower than what we are expecting. And with that said, others might take this a negative, but for the whales, they wanted this to happen because they have a good chance to accumulate again from those panic sellers. There are a lot of happenings around the world that has impacted the price recently and there could be more in the coming months that might pull down the price to this level, just saying, so just be ready.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 15, 2022, 05:49:01 AM
I think the guy should return all the money he had gambled because, after all, he received the money due to a misdelivery by someone when it was for 436 people in their town. The man was innocent if he didn't use his money for any purpose but in this case, he had used up all his money. So he had to return all the money. This is related to humanitarian issues; hopefully, this problem can end well without any more fuss. The person who made the delivery should also be checked why he didn't double check before he sent the money.

I think that's what he will do in this case, bit by bit as per OP, he will be returning what he had "stolen". The money is supposed to be for a good cause and he totally ruined everything.

Nevertheless, he was caught red handed and pleaded guilty. Unfortunately, the money was no longer there as he chooses to gamble it away. Yes, both are at fault, but the burden is still on the man, he purposely uses the money not intended for him.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 15, 2022, 05:22:05 AM
Warriors is a complete package, players are stepping up when Chef Curry is not performing that much, Klay, Wiggins and Poole are orchestrating their attacks while they are also defending each attempts coming from Boston, no easy shots though Boston keep coming close till the third quarter but the Warriors made that 10-0 run and maintain the same momentum.

The series is now turning back to Warriors. Boston needs the adjustment that they can win and protect their home court.

It's a needed win for them to stay and push for the last do-or-die game.
Steph became the steward today and he did supply his teammates some good assist to be able to win the game.
Andrew Wiggins though is something else. He was consistent at his last games and we loved that but now it is different. He saw what the problem is and that's Steph having a rough night so he step up his game and exploded like a true All-Star. We had been waiting for this, he was always silent at stats of 16/6 average and was never a big trend but tonight is his night.

Andrew Wiggins could also be the X factor in game 6, but I'm hoping that finally Klay will have a big game because we call him "GAME 6 KLAY", if that will happen, this series will be over and the Warriors will win in 6.

Let's wait for Klay, they are in the road for game 6 and maybe Klay will still have something up and it's time for him to show in this series. He also said that he wanted to help Curry, and we've seen how him and Wiggins did in game 5. But we will see if he can live with his "game 6 Klay" in Boston Garden. It's a huge game for both of them, Celtics to stay in the series and have a chance, and for Warriors to be crown NBA champions again.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 14, 2022, 04:44:24 AM

Yeah, sooner or later that trend will break up, and with that said, I think the Warriors are going to win game 5 at their home court. And just like what you said, the difference is that the Warriors has been in this kind of situation before and knows how to react and they should it up, with Curry and the rest of the team hitting crucial shots. And so. they responded big at Boston Garden although it was really close in the first 3 quarters. The Celtics even takes a good like with 5 minutes left. And as far as the MVP awards, Curry will have his first career after they win the series.

it's hard to conclude right away, before these series start most of the fans believes that Warriors can easily beat Boston some are willing to give +2 handicap for Boston but look what's happening right now, Boston almost got that comfortable lead if they manage to protect that home-court advantage and take the 3-1 lead but again, it's the experienced that Warriors have as an advantage, they didn't allow that and now regain the home-court advantage.

Hard to say who's going to win their upcoming game, but most likely Warriors will not waste any opportunities again, they have the right adjustment last game 4 they just need to enhance the executions to make sure that they can win this game at home.

I guess now we can conclude that, and as I have been speculating, the trend should break in game 5 and it did. Boston never lost back to back, but it did happen.

And Curry having a bad shooting night against Boston and still win?

Best 2 games of Wiggins in the finals, he has proven himself already, this year, All Star appearance and then helping the Warriors in two huge games.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 12, 2022, 12:31:00 AM

On the recent game 4 then it was totally anticipated on getting that tie in series or finals. It would be more interesting if this one would go on game 7.

I think it's 50/50 because Celtics were very dominant in game 3, so some fans believe that Warriors will not be able to make a come back in game 4, but good thing now that they have tied the series, it's only now a best of 3 series where the Warriors has the home court advantage.

Have you seen the trend games, this is getting pretty similar to the heat/celtics series, and if that trend would happen, this will be the outcome.

1-Celtics
2-Warriors
3-Celtics
4-Warriors
5-Celtics
6-Warriors
7-CELTICS ( NBA CHAMPION)
LOL so far that is how it has went but the Warriors are the more experienced team with an experienced coach. Boston has put up a good fight so far but they will face the reality of this isn't their year soon enough.

1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which stablecoin do you "trust" the most? on: June 11, 2022, 03:20:00 AM
I still have some USDT in my wallet, it's not that big though, probably less than $500, just put there just in 'case' scenario.

But for sure majority of us doesn't trust Tether as well because of its dubious management. But so far, there is no rug pull yet and they have been in the market for like 5 or more years if I'm not mistaken. We all are aware of the Luna debacle and for sure one of this day I might withdraw it.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: June 11, 2022, 02:23:59 AM
Bottom line, Donaire can still fight if he wants to but not a trilogy with Inoue.
He has to choose who he is going to fight if he still pushes for one more fight. Well, about fighting Inoue again for the third time, this is already out of the box.
If he chooses to fight Inoue again, this is just all about desperation and he's likely to lose again. He probably had accepted that he can't beat Inoue and if pushing for another match then he should be picky and that would be the one that he knows he can beat the out of it.
But in this case I find it quite difficult if he does fight again and loses again then this will indeed continue to tarnish the name he has made in his career.
It would be better if he stopped because his current age is actually quite difficult to fight.
But if he still wants to fight and insist on it then indeed the consequences might be having to prepare for the worst.

Good point, as we have been discussing, it's all about your legacy for some fighters. It all started for Nonito when he blasted Darchy with that left hook and then instantly he become a household name. And he has nothing to prove as well, he will be a soon hall-of-famer. So it's better if the stops fighting because the chances of losing again and it could hurt him in the long run. He has given the Philippines another champion already and for sure there are a lot of PH fighters that can carry the torch from them (Manny and Nonito).
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 11, 2022, 01:44:34 AM
Better be a close game on this game, live betting for me, +3.5 at 1.92 at the end of the first quarter.

Celtics again starting off the bat, 12-6, but the Warriors was able to climb back and close it 28-27 still in favor of Boston. I think in this kind of phasing, the Warriors will have a better chance of getting back at them this game 4 and even 2-2.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 11, 2022, 01:05:05 AM
I think slots are one of the gambling games because slots have random value guesses that you can't know you can win at what number and when your guess doesn't match then the money capital you use will of course disappear instantly, from the flow of this game we already know that slots it is gambling. From the observations that I experienced when playing this slot game it made my heart beat faster than doing sports gambling because all the money was at stake without me knowing what percentage of the win I got from the slot.

It's called luck for short. Random numbers and you don't know when it is going to hit. And that's why the odds are stack up against you when you play them. But it's so addicting that even if you know you are going to lose anyways, you are going to play it. And that's how we all fall for it, as we can't control our emotions because of the whole psychology and the effect on slots machine in our minds. Others can compare it to drugs regarding the effect on our brain.
