1961  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: USB ASIC ERUPTER - Setup & Config. BCG Miner, cgminer, Hubs "Oh Pi"! on: June 18, 2013, 12:06:49 PM
You know, I've rarely had HW errors with my GPUs. How come these USB Eruptors that cost as much as a new gen GPU produce ANY HW errors at all?
1962  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: ECDsa Verification Speed on: June 18, 2013, 11:42:43 AM
The fastest implementation is this one:

https://github.com/sipa/secp256k1
I don't suppose I can use this library for even speedier address creation?

Actually it's

1CPxxxBUeah9g53QS7Je8J8V8x4PV27vhT (0.001 BTC - Output)

Of course I will leave the meaning of those two letters to someone with an imagination.
1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Florin coin (FLO) - Innovative new coin on: June 17, 2013, 10:56:02 PM
My free FLO coins sent with a little message.

How did you change colour?

The QT display is actually an HTML panel, so i put some HTML codes in the message.

How much HTML does it allow? Bitcoin miner in...err..
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Florin coin (FLO) - Innovative new coin on: June 17, 2013, 09:10:14 PM
Hehe, but 140 characters is 140 bytes. Just 1000 transactions is 136 kilobytes of messages.

Very good.

The box looks very expensive.
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Florin coin (FLO) - Innovative new coin on: June 17, 2013, 08:48:47 PM
Wow, I can totally see someone making the blockchain of this coin even bigger than Bitcoin's.

Also, no pre-announcement.
1969  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Remove imported private key from bitcoin-qt wallet on: June 17, 2013, 08:35:22 PM
You can try to use pywallet, I've seen people suggest it in cases like these, but how you would use it, you would need to read the documentation.

Thanks from me as well!
1971  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: ECDsa Verification Speed on: June 17, 2013, 02:13:54 PM
If this was implemented in C, it would be faster. I can see how the Java implementation can be slower.
1972  Other / Off-topic / Re: Getting dumped before you even go out. on: June 17, 2013, 01:04:40 PM
It hurts though, I mean I was this close to getting her to be mine. She was out of town 3 days ago(Friday), she was coming back, and that's when I blurted out something. I told her something, but she was fine, she said "OK". However, literally just 2-3 minutes later, she wanted us to remain just friends. And I was this close to our first date, first kiss and everything.
1973  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crysis 3 problems on: June 17, 2013, 12:51:55 PM
Use a cracked one if you don't want multiplayer. Multi is dead on C3 either way.
1974  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [php] - OK I'm confused on: June 17, 2013, 12:49:49 PM
It's because you are hashing the ASCII representation of the pubkey. You need to convert it to binary and hash that(i.e hex2bin). Trust me, happened to me too.

How is Trezor safe against protocol changes?
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Ripple(XRP). on: June 17, 2013, 12:01:58 PM
Thanks, I didn't know there was a section.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Ripple(XRP). on: June 17, 2013, 11:57:58 AM
how much for 1000?
How much do you want?
1978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you backup a Terracoin wallet? on: June 17, 2013, 11:57:40 AM
Copy and paste the wallet.dat.
When the client isn't running or bad things *may* happen.
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Ripple(XRP). on: June 17, 2013, 11:35:29 AM
Self-bump.
1980  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crysis 3 problems on: June 17, 2013, 11:19:03 AM
As long as it's in off-topic then you should be able to post whatever you like, I'm afraid the people who are selling these codes are most likely either selling you crappy ones or pirated ones that you could get for free anyway, I recommend going to piratebay or something and grabbing a copy off there for free so you know whether it is indeed the game that's at fault but since you didn't purchase it directly from the origin store you won't be able to get your money back or get the problem fixed anyway. Thanks to DRM the pre-owned games market is pretty much dead, I'm sure there will be those who will angrily disagree with me but all these people selling codes and such are likely either selling cracked software or codes that could be just legit bought from the developers for roughly the same price anyway.

I'll just say it again for the emphasis, don't buy these game codes, DRM has practically rendered them buggy and unusable for legitimate gaming, the people selling this stuff are most likely doing it to earn some quick Bitcoin, the only DRM I know that's got a working trading system is steam but even then that's going to be dodgy and unreliable like anything developers make that actually benefits gamers and not them.
That's not how it works. Origin is a centralized system owned by EA, you can't provide it "fake" codes. You can enter real codes, but they may be taken which wouldn't even allow you to download the game let alone start it.
