1961  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you introduce Bitcoin to your friends and family? on: May 11, 2015, 05:03:36 PM
Do you like the Internet?

Do you despise every devalued fiat money, inflation, taxes and the goverment?

Welcome to the Internet of Money, Bitcoin!

That's how I'd try to razzle dazzle them...

1962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ONE Minute Blocks! Bitcoin as fast as Dogecoin, faster than Litecoin? VOTE on: May 11, 2015, 04:42:55 PM
Don't care if it stays at 10 or lowers to 1 either, for confirmation times.

As long as "transaction time" is virtually non existent or a few seconds, then I'm on board with any change in block times.
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What real world situation have you had problems due to 10 minute confirmation? on: May 11, 2015, 02:48:24 PM
Had to wait over 10 minutes for an in person transaction using LocalBitcoins.  Dang thing just wouldn't confirm!  Must have been shit pool luck at the moment I guess... Tongue

Also had to wait over 20 minutes for a Coinbase purchase, before I can do another Bitcoin based transaction.  Guess I just have the worst timing when it comes to confirm times... Undecided
1964  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: May 08, 2015, 07:22:24 PM
Day trading is tough, so I'd recommend the safest strategy possible.

BUY and HODL Bitcoin.  So easy a caveman can do it!

1965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: russia bitcoin ban on: May 08, 2015, 07:18:00 PM
Wonder what will happen with BTC-E  Roll Eyes

Wonder what will happen with BTC-E, the exchange based in Bulgaria?

I'm going to guess nothing, since Russia banning Bitcoin has nothing to do with BTC-E's operation.
1966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrap It Up, bitcoin Is Done on: May 08, 2015, 07:07:52 PM

Let's see...forgetting something...oh yes, price is 10% lower. Cheers!  Grin

Hey OP, Bitcoin up almost 5% in a single day.  Cheers!   Grin

1967  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next consumer model miner on: May 08, 2015, 06:57:07 PM
If FT.com's finding are anywhere near correct, then the next consumer model miner could be in a toaster oven and possibly even free:

http://ftalphaville.ft.com/2015/04/30/2127543/meet-the-company-that-wants-to-put-a-bitcoin-miner-in-your-toaster/

Need hard confirmation from an official source before passing this as anything beside rumor, but then again 21 inc did partner with Qualcomm and got $116 million worth of venture funding, so maybe there's some truth to this.

Mining in everyday appliances...sign me up!

1968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: russia bitcoin ban on: May 08, 2015, 06:44:31 PM
In Soviet Russia, Bitcoin bans you!

Could care less if they do or don't, they're so behind the technology curve when it comes to Crypto, that it doesn't even matter.  Seems strange, since their neighbors pretty much dominate the space.

1969  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: May 08, 2015, 06:35:40 PM
Only acceptable answer is......HODL ON!   Grin

Sure, you can offload some if you want, but you'll be kicking yourself it goes to infinity and beyond the next day.

1970  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: May 08, 2015, 05:09:59 PM
"I would sell all my Bitcoins if..."

Their price does not stay stable.

Lol if that were the case, you'd have sold 5 years ago.   Tongue

Bitcoin and stable price go together like Lamb and Tuna fish.  They don't!!

It will stabilize over time, but with a 6 year old currency, you're still going to have large price swings.
1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm fucking out. bitcoin will be over soon..confirmed. on: May 08, 2015, 05:07:07 PM
Nice little bounce back day to above $240.  Guess we're not over quite yet!

1972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ItBit Nets $25 Million, Launches NYDFS-Approved Bitcoin Exchange on: May 08, 2015, 05:02:30 PM
Bullish news.  Between ItBit and GBTC launching this week, has been a positive news/positive momentum week.

Just wait til COIN ETF and Gemini make it out the gate!   Cool
1973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Announcing 22, Inc: The future of bitcoin is already the past. Give us money. on: May 08, 2015, 04:52:52 PM
This post reminds me of the ending of 22 Jump Street.  Not bad OP, not bad.

A for effort!   Cheesy

1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 08, 2015, 04:31:10 PM
Can you feel it? can you smell it? something big is getting closer ...

Yes, there's a sense that things are about to turn on their head.  Sooner much rather than later.

I think momentum plays a big part, and all the build up from VC's, development, more positive news than negative is starting to show.

Coinbase funding, Circle funding, 21 inc, MIT new home for Core devs, COIN ETF, ItBit, Gemini, GBTC trading now...stack up enough pebbles, and your bound to build a mountain.
1975  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: May 08, 2015, 04:06:18 PM
Anyone dip into itBit yet?  Feedback?

https://www.itbit.com

Curious to see how they made it out to market and beat out Gemini so fast.
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Classic Bitcoin Polls - What is your all time favorite Bitcoin wallet? on: May 08, 2015, 04:03:15 PM
Looks like there's a new hardware Bitcoin wallet in town:

Not sure I'm feeling the pricetag though.   Undecided

1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remove Satoshi as Founding Member, Says Bitcoin Foundation Director on: April 30, 2015, 03:23:32 PM
Can we remove Bitcoin from the Bitcoin Foundation name?  Ha!

I agree, they should just rename and rebrand everything!  Here's their newly renamed foundation:

http://www.buttcoinfoundation.org/

Truly a more logical name and symbolic one at it too....
