1961  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Meet a racist malware targetting extension based wallets on: February 02, 2022, 09:04:21 PM
Wasted technology, for real how would an individual phantom the idea of creating such menace beats my imagination, it's good a thing this such Malware has been pointed out but how does it operate, apart from the fact that it has targeted citizens, and also how can so one with low or average tech knowledge protect themselves from such knowledge, I believe there are newbies who still doesn't understand how this malware stuff works.

1963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't give information instead share information. on: January 30, 2022, 10:08:28 PM
There are two kinds information rolling around in this form:

1) Some members are giving information- This kind of information maybe not required in OP, due to lack of knowledge they want to give it bcoz they think this is right and we know better.

2) Some members share information- Sharing information is where we share what we know, here anyone can help anyone even newbies can teach a legendary this is the only right way.

what you think about it?
I am lost mate, I really don't know if you are creating your own grammar or dictionary, that said I would like to know how to classify this your post, are you giving information? Or are you sharing information?
On a serious note they are both the same meaning I think you should rather say some information are better passed across than others rather than creating a vocabulary.
1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 30, 2022, 09:13:04 PM
I think El Salvador didn't adopt Bitcoin because of the price, if that was the case it won't be am adoption in would be an invest not an adoption, so I think if El Salvador has done their home work well before adopting Bitcoin then they should know that Bitcoin is volatile and this price swing is Normal, and also except they are breaking any rule I don't think IMF has any thing against El Salvador and they can't force El Salvador to go against their earlier adoption of Bitcoin.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: January 30, 2022, 08:39:15 PM
Slowly the North African Giants Egypt are now in the semi finals after a shaky starts that got critics questioning sallah's patriotism to this national team, now I am starting to think they are a big threat to winning the African nation's cup, I think to be honest this is the most competitive African nation's cup in a long time, although I don't think the North African side are too good to win the nation's cup.
1966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Here is best place to start on: January 29, 2022, 11:11:13 PM
Op drop this his introduction post December of 2021 I think it's high time this post get lucked now I see no reason commenting on it except the op has updated the post, many newbies and other members fail to check out the date of a post, many atimes old thread that has dead would still be bumped by one newbie or two, by now the op has learnt some important things about the forum so if that is done this thread should be locked.
1967  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: January 29, 2022, 10:44:25 PM

1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Tagcoin the Bitcoin of the NFT World. on: January 29, 2022, 10:36:01 PM
The title sounded like a question and I became curious to find out what the post would be about only to see that it's just another one of those shillings, I think the crypto-currency world has moved pass those lines of everything being the next Bitcoin or being the Bitcoin of X ecosystem, but even after researching About the project I think its unrealistic and need to start with target that they can achieve, it's preferably for the to lower their expectations and but in some quality people in their team
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: January 29, 2022, 10:11:31 PM
Cameroon - Gambia

the Cameroon team was expected to win this game

but the big surprise was this game:

burkina faso - Tunisia

I expected Tunisia to win this game, this defeat was a big surprise for me

Big congratulations to Cameroon and Burkina Faso, they both had an impressive win over their opponent, although I enjoyed the Burkina Faso win even more because of who they had to defeat, I still don't see how Tunisia won the highly seeded Nigerian team regards they are also out, now I think Cameroon already has one foot in the final if there next opponent would be Burkina Faso.
1970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: meta is the future ???? on: January 29, 2022, 08:54:12 PM
So many next big thing I wonder in the future if the crypto space can contain all this so called big thing, it's either they say NFT is the next big thing or a particular project is the next big thing or play to earn gaming platform is the next big thing, really all this hype may all just be short lived, I am still not completely sure of metaverse and what it aims to achieve but I see those involved already aren't doing much research and are doing it as a show off either if their wealth or they just want to look cool.
1971  Economy / Economics / Re: If you don't buy don't come here to complain on: January 29, 2022, 08:23:35 PM
I just believe there are those people who aren't interested in buying crypto-currency but are always, interested in what's happening in and around crypto-currency, they are quick to laugh at holders when the dip comes and they fake a cry when the market is bumming, I really don't pay much attention to such people, well regardless of what the market is doing I am not inclining my next move on what people are saying online or anywhere because it's most of the time bullshit.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization ain't the solution to everything on: January 28, 2022, 10:55:18 PM
Before decentralization criminals has had 1000% opportunity, decentralization didn't cause the problems of the world, decentralization has great properties one is securing your identity, freedom and privacy. We have loved in a world of checkmating and terrible crimes are been unsolved, I think the decentralization has even helped us because of its transparent nature, you can't tamper with it or falsify it. So i remain of decentralization.
1973  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: January 28, 2022, 10:41:28 PM

1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Belgian MP becomes the first European politician to accept salary in Bitcoin on: January 28, 2022, 09:45:34 PM
Brussels member of parliament Christophe De Beukelaer became the first European politician to accept his salary into Bitcoin. The MP converted to Bitcoin using the Bit4You (crypto exchange platform). The Belgian MP will convert his monthly salary of EUR 5,500 to Bitcoin. Beukelaer hopes his adaptation will inspire other politicians to show a similar interest in the crypto industry.
He said:
“New York City Mayor Eric Adams has spent three months collecting his Bitcoin salary to make New York the Bitcoin hub. I think it is not too late for Brussels and Belgium to play a leading role in the cryptocurrency industry."

Highly commendable when politicians genuinely adopts Bitcoin without it been a political stunt, it's a big challenge to the rest of his colleagues, I think one final hindrance to crypto-currency adoption is the government and when this is over comed we would see more adoption of crypto-currency.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biden & BTC on: January 28, 2022, 08:52:32 PM
The Biden administration is prepared to issue an executive order tasked with the responsibility of regulating digital assets such as Bitcoin on a national security basis. Do you think this is a good step?
I doubt if they would be able to successfully do that, regulating Bitcoin or crypto-currency can only happen where there is an avenue provide for a third party interference, I value anonymity, privacy and very much value security. Although I won't support it if it's used for illegal activities, I believe it the want to successfully carry the regulations out they would start first with exchanges and their by pushing them to become centralized.
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is valuable? on: January 27, 2022, 11:54:19 PM

It's a pity that many exchange, project are all going centralized, making that anonymous, private and even security nature rotten away, now some exchanges is making life difficult for it's users, Bitcoin would always be valuable but if we keep making crypto lose it's decentralized nature then we may just be having alot on our hands
1977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON Round of 16. on: January 27, 2022, 11:02:42 PM
It's sad really to see most team Nigeria is better than still in the tournament even Egypt that Nigeria defeated in the tournament group stage is still in the competition, although I have lost interest in the tournament there are tons of exciting matches to look out for, I think my favorite team to win this competition this year would be Senegal, I think the Senegalese team has all it takes to do that and also because I like Mane.
1978  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: January 27, 2022, 10:45:00 PM

1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else with BTC stuck in Paypal? on: January 27, 2022, 09:57:13 PM
Purchased 500 USD in btc from Paypal early last year. Assumed I could transfer to my wallet. No such option. Article from early last year quoted their CEO as saying the option to transfer was coming soon. Nearly a year later and nothing. What is wrong with that company?
What was the reason for you purchasing with them? Always do proper research, if I were you I would go with the advice the first replier gave, I always see PayPal as a company not in any relation with crypto-currency, so for now I avoid doing any crypto deals with them, infact keeping BTC or Crypto in anything other than your decentralized Bitcoin wallet is a no for me
1980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fate of bitcoin in Russia on: January 27, 2022, 07:41:38 PM
I'm afraid the fate of bitcoin in this country is rather vague. Especially in light of the fact that not so long ago they simply wanted to ban it corny.
I would not say that why because I don't think the date of Bitcoin is tired to any government, I can say this on a personal grounds. I am from a country where the government is always trying to traucate crypto-currency enthusiast but I think it's our passion and the decentralized nature of crypto-currency that has gotten us this far. That said I still believe that there is a big future for crypto-currency in any country and the government has to accept that.
