The consistency of Haaland is something not out of the ordinary ordinary although, he missed quite a lot of chances that was so unbelievable or unexpected and it wasn't once but thrice or more. Perhaps I should give credits to the Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier for being very protective of his goal. Each time, he managed to look big enough and went after Erling Haaland evn before he could get himself into a good position to shoot the ball. Done great goalkeeping and that as well deprived Haaland any chance of scoring a hat-trick.

Manchester City still managed to go into the break with a lead. In the stoppage time of the 1st half they managed to score a goal. It could well be liberating for Guardiola's team, which can now calmly let the opponent come and switch at the right time. A fairly high result could well be possible because of this 0-1 on the stroke of half time.
Am sure Leeds had this coming because, how could they not. This is Manchester City and with the lots if chances that have been coming, it was only a matter of time before one finds itself at the back of the net. I just couldn't imagine how Jacj Grealish was just missing all the provided chances. His got some of the best chances in the first half of the game and he keeps putting it off target. Good chances with balls that already has enough momentum and all he needed to do is just direct it to the goal but, he keeps shooting it up. Good enough Rodri came to the rescue and they arr now 2 goals up in the early minutes of the second half. Am guessing they won't stop at that.
1963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 28, 2022, 12:06:42 AM
6 fixtures and just a single draw in all, it's been an interesting game week in the EPL for sure. The only team that didn't came out great was Tottenham but, a draw was good enough for Conte. Given the fact that, they came from 2 goals down to equalising. Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea,Liverpool and Manchester United definitely had some great time.

You know, I really didn't feel like the disallowed goal for Nottingham Forest should have been disallowed. I really didn't view that last touch to have happened except for the fact that, it just came off Ryan Yates head, into the floor and unto the net. It was just a difficult technique to pull off and the VAR just called it off! Manchester United was great tonight anyway.
1964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin survived the Christmas market pressure on: December 27, 2022, 10:08:23 PM
But this year, 2023 Bitcoin hard a strong resistant price level during the period of 20th to 25th which is Christmas most activities and time for family shopping and family spending where the banking system may pause a constraint to effective transactions and alternatives are sort after, Bitcoin and other digital assets become the order of the season which make Bitcoin price to pull back.

Is this an indication of the bullish market in the year 2023 where Bitcoin will break 20,000 in the early weeks of the year?
Come on mate, are we in 2023 already? I mean, the first might just be a mistake but the second makes it seem as though your pretty hard convinced it's 2023, lol... perhaps ots your projection for ending of next year, lol... well, its 2022.

Is that even a thing? At selling pressure in the Christmas season because, I don't really see that to be a thing. Most especially, given the season we are in when it comes to the market at being bearish. Its a time to buy and hodl, if your selling, then you are losing and that's definitely not what anyone hope to do and so, you would almost find price at a range as we had it.
1965  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mistakes Successful People Never Make Twice on: December 27, 2022, 10:00:36 PM
Obviously there's nothing wrong with that, because everyone who wants to be successful in anything definitely needs other people so that their goals can be realized. After all, it is impossible for someone to be successful without involving other people in this world.

For example, as you said, where Elon Musk is a businessman who needs customers to market the products of his business. Likewise with people who make advertisements and any campaigns with the hope that many people will see and follow them so that the products being marketed are in demand and used by many people.
The definitely in your statement is where I don't quote agree well with. Success is contextual and so also could your perception of the definitive need of other individuals to succeed.

Perhaps it could be in the sense of having the resources but not the labour force or the brains to transform your ideas into a metaphysical existence and more of those. There the context of other individuals could apply.

The context at which you've used it as in producer and customers, I don't really feel it should bethat way as, there always should and would be the receiving phase of a production or service for the chain to be complete. Where we consider the other individuals helping is in the production/developmental phase.
1966  Economy / Economics / Re: Save your environmental economic cycle on: December 27, 2022, 09:35:19 PM
people prefer to buy from online stores instead of buying from neighbours, which causes the economy to slow down is undeniably this is the impact of the global economic chaos and technological advances.

If you are a person who has money to shop for daily needs, I suggest you buy from merchants around you instead of shopping online whose stores are far from your place. This must be done to turn the wheels of the economy in your neighbourhood and save them from bankruptcy, at least you give them space to live.
I think that's hardly the reason why people make purchases online. Sometimes, it's a question of availability and quality, not price. In  fact, prices of goods in online stores are often high compared to local stores. Not to mention that, we've got delivery fees to pay and getting your goods is going to be in days and can take up to 3 weeks.
Again, making our have from an online store doesn't necessarily have a negative effect on your nations economy when the company or sore your buying from happens to be a local store within the nation. Perhaps when imported, we could take about that otherwise, its still a win.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 27, 2022, 09:02:18 PM
2 matches (chelsea vs bournemouth & MU vs nottm forest) today seem to be going well for bettors, Chelsea won 2-0 over Bournemouth with goals from Havertz and Mount in the first half, we..just waiting for the final result of MU vs nottm forest match.
I didn't have quite enough time to view the Chelsea game but, I had time for the highlights and read through few commentaries on the match and it seems Chelsea was on fire when they faced Bournemouth earlier today. They've been very disappointing in the games prior to the world cup opening and this would be same way to lift off the pressure for Chelsea and Graham Potter.

For Manchester United, it seems to many as though, Ronaldo did them a favour by leaving the team, a team that he himself helped built under Sir. A Ferguson. Manchester United had an early 2 early goals of which, Rashford was actively involved. 1 goal and 1 assets for Rashford.  His pace has been a major help in his performance this season, his beginning to catch everyone's interest once again.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 26, 2022, 10:10:25 PM
The emphasis is not on Nunez. He is no longer a new player. We have known the capabilities of Nunez, we are no longer expecting him to be like Haaland that we taught he would be.
He would no even be better than Diaz. So we looking at the general wellness of Liverpool and not individual performance.
Congratulations to them.
D. Nunez not being able to get a goal in the Aston Villa Vs Liverpool fixture was a real shame. He had all the opportunities on the pitch in both halfs, several 1:1 with the goalkeeper and still, he gets to shoot the ball at the goalkeeper. His nothing close to E. Haaland and neve would be. Good thing for Liverpool, they aren't dependent on Nunez else, they would would as well find themselves falling farther down the table.

West Ham United on the other hand attempted the impossible with Arsenal today. You could clearly see that, the Arsenal tea of today lacked that G. Jesus quality. There wasn't anyone to dribble and hold the ball just long enough for the players to run into the box, especially in the first half. Good enough, M. Odegaard stepped up for his team, making the necessary passes, creating 2 vital assists and Arsen gets to come from a 1 goal down to winning West Ham by 1:3 Arsenal goals. They are now 7points clear at the top of the table and that's some comfortable start for the second phase of the season.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 26, 2022, 08:00:42 PM
It's been Ian interesting match day live with Arsenal vs West Ham United yet to play. We've seen Spurs sharr points with Brentford and am sure Thomas Frank would be very disappointed as to how his boys lost there chance of a 2 goals advantage and taking all 3 points in that fixture.

Newcastle United on there part had a very wonderful start, a dominant play, scored 3 goals, kept a clean sheet and won 3 points. Leicester City can't leave with themselves for such a lose from a home side.

Crystal Palace probably had one of the worst performances for the day. Not only did they lost but, they got 2 red cards and were beaten by 3 goals to nothing by Fulham from a Crystal Palace home side.

I'm really interested to see how Arsenal will react after the break. They are without Jesus today, Nketiah will probably take his place in the team.
Apparently, we would be seeing Eddie Nketiah in this one as the formation presented by Arteta very much features him following following the Gabriel Jesus injury. Of course his standing in the side line, looking enthusiastic but disappointed. This presents a good chance for Eddie Nketiah to show his quality. One mans misfortune is another man's blessing.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 26, 2022, 03:44:54 PM
The boxing day is turning to be a special one indeed. Spurs had a very difficult time due to an early first half and second half goal but, they managed to seek out a draw against Brentford and they got it. One notable problem on the Spurs side was them not being able to keep an eye on the  Brentford players running right from behind them. The Spurs defence line were more focused on the ball and allowed free touches to Vitaly Janelt and Ivan Toney from behind who converted the goal rather easily.
Spurs really needed to find H. Kane and that was made very difficult by the Brentford defence line who were there almost everytime to intercept the ball at every trier. A good cross from C. Lenglet to have been able to deliver that ball over to H. Kane and what a wonderful header it was into the far corner. Another well taken ball from Pierre Hojbjerg into the goal to give them there equaliser and they've got a point to keep them in the 4th place on the league table.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 26, 2022, 01:38:46 PM
True Manchester doesn't appear to be the person who will miss Cr7. When I heard that Ronaldo was leaving Manchester United, I was relieved because the news of him training on the Madrid pitch shows he still has a lot to offer.
I see no reason why a true Man U would not miss C. Ronaldo, he did his best until he started having issues with coaches, and I would not blame him entirely for his reactions. Mind you, C. Ronaldo is not the only attacker and Man U player in the team, so why is it so peculiar that all blame would be on him? This guy had done his best, but staying where you are not appreciated could not only have an influence on your performance but on your total psychological and well-being. He knows better what he faced in the club, so we should not be so judgemental here.
Ronaldo has done so much for football, it's a matter of what football could do for him now. Ronaldo is an ambitious player and could have done much for Manchester United but, he wasn't motivated to play for a team that isn't in the UCL and that became the beginning of his problems with the team. Worst of all, Ten Hag had him on the bench as a way of showing him who's boss which I don't blame him hit all tht jas got to affect him in some way. We can see his reactions at leaving the stadiums even when the game wasn't over, refusing to come on at some point and more of those. Ronaldo isn't 100% right now and so, you can't expect a 100% performance from him.

Meanwhile, the EPL is on the go right now with Brentford beating Spurs to a Brentford 1:0 Spurs first half. The second half has already kicked off but, its been a disappointing watch for Tottenham as Brentford dominated most of the first half play. Am still hoping Spurs would he able to come back into this match though.
1972  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the best platform to get clients as a web designer? on: December 25, 2022, 07:57:04 PM
The cost of purchasing a course related to IT proffession is quite on a high side in our world today, still lots of competition out there, a lot of people searching for clients using different advertising methods making it harder to find clients.
You almost sound as though, your scared of competition and is most likely not to survive in a highly competitive market as we've got in our world today. I might not be able to point you to any specifics that could help you meet with clients but, I can tell you, clients are everywhere on the net and it's there job to find you and not the other way round. The lamest you could do is to be visible and that means, advertising yourself, joining communities and owning pages on social media platforms to display your works.

Note, work done properly for one client is enough to earn you sme referrers and then, a trend develops. It become of increasing importance that, anytime you've got a job, you deliver an excellent service and go about some positive advertising. The Internet has made a lot of things easier for those that are good at what they do. Be best, better than good!

1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you intend to tell loved ones about the bear market? on: December 25, 2022, 07:31:03 PM
I think it's a very simple thing to do. At least, they could see what's going on in the market with there very own eyes. I have a family member I brought in and not for once has he dared or bothered me on the on going bear market. That's simply because, he understands.

Where most of the errors are made is bringing in individuals with the get rich quick ideas, people who only see cryptocurrency for what they could acquire and not the risk that surrounds there choices. You ought to make them understand that it's not all rossy out here and they could lose too and lose big.

It all depends on what they are being told at the initial phase of being introduced. Should you have projected the lose more, then it would be a lot more easier to explain what goes on in a bear market. Best to let them know, they don't lose if they don't sell. When it happens to be alts, then it might either be a matter of cut the lose or be ready for whatever becomes of your investment. Its just that simple, the market is in phases and the bears offers you a buying opportunity so, don't lose by selling instead, you buy and hodl.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or altcoin? on: December 25, 2022, 06:38:58 PM
Whe it comes to investments such as these, that comes without any forward of securities, your always advised to invest with only spare cash or that which you can afford to lose. That's more like, preparing yourself for what ever outcome your choice of investment might bring. Either one that might result in a lose or profit, you become okay with either one.
If your able to follow up with such principle and would be good with whatever becomes of your investment, then perhaps you've just got to DYOR on avaliable projects and pick your investment.

Although, I know if I were to choose between them both exclusively, I'll be the more safe with bitcoin. Other than that, I might have to split my investment capital to pick both. With the bulk money going for bitcoin  investments.
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 25, 2022, 06:15:43 PM
~snip~
He did say that huh @CZ. I suppose leaving it at centralised exchanges are safe then?
Centralised exchanges can't be half as safe as non custodial wallets. I wonder how people do trust it. The onlyeans to loosing coins from a non custodial wallet is due to a users carelessness. As per either having a bugged device or forgetting of private key or seed phrase and not being private enough as per keys or seed phrase security.

When it comes to centralised exchanges, the only advantage you've got is the password recovery and nothing else. All the above could still play out and even more. Like exchange hacks, mismanagement of funds as seen in FTX, not to mention that, your verified mail address could be hacked, linked and transactions could as well be done from a different device.

I don't want to discredit what his said @CZ but, I'll say users should see it for a warning and apply caution when transacting.
1977  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I right or wrong on: December 24, 2022, 11:10:51 PM
The government has also bought bitcoins, but secretly because some parties from the government have not agreed 100% with the existence of bitcoins.
But the governments that buy bitcoin see the power of bitcoin itself and try to follow suit before it's too late.
They are the ones who can open themselves up to new things that are happening, which can later be of benefit to the public and themselves.
Possibly but, am yet to see a government that would come out to lay claims to some hodlings except for nations that have fully legalised bitcoin for a legal tender like El-salvador and they continue to increase there crypto portfolio or hodlings up to this moment.
Hopefully, thy light be able to pull this off and continue to hodl until the bull market comes around for a boom. It would be a big boost to there economy for sure.
It would be really a wise choice for other governments of the world to take a page out of the El-salvador scheme and have some hodlings in bitcoin. It's had for them though as, the yet not believe and still seeks means to its end. We still watching how that is coming.
1978  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will there ever be any safe centralised exchange ? on: December 24, 2022, 11:00:14 PM
Just because Binance have CZ doesn't mean CZ will keep his cool forever, remember that change is the only thing constant in a humans life, anybody can change at any time when it comes to money matter, I like CZ but not when it comes to money so my answer is no single centralized exchange can be trusted.
Apparently that's what it is but, its never an issue until it becomes an issue. FTX never possed a threat until the CEO exercised his right by using the coins left in his charge for his own selfish interest. That's the risk centralised exchanges pose and will continue to pose every other day. One of the first rule of cryptocurrency is being in charge of your own affairs and that's exactly what centralisation takes from you. Centralised exchanges can never be a safe means and that's why, its got a rule to its usage that implores you not to leave majority of your hodlings but that which, you wish to trade.

Changpeng Zhao doing a great job at a top level and we shouldn't blame him for losses on the Binance. CZ and his team are working effortlessly to keeping their exchange moving. There are many things surrounding the insolved problem of CEX, there countless numbers of Fraudsters online tracking to take down CEX with self unknown goals. Binance is the only exchange that weren't affected although hackers tried their best to break the fire wall but not lucky enough due to the strong fire wall the Binance team has.
That's some of the reasons why Binance stays top evey other day. There approach to solving issues and they render quality service to its users. You get to resolve a fault before taking any other trade. There are a lot of benefits  Binance offers and CZ continues to I.prove the site still.
1979  Economy / Economics / Re: Hope for cryptocurrency in Nigeria. on: December 24, 2022, 10:31:59 PM
Ibrahim Babaginda said the banned on cryptocurrency will not only be lifted but will be legalize.
This is the hope for crypto, although I am fairly certain that this will not happen immediately, but will take some times. There are many individuals into crypto in the country already and due to the massive awareness being raised by Forum members who are Nigerians the number of crypto users is increasing. I patiently wait for the period when Crypto will be declared legal for use in Nigeria.
Just like Ibrahim Babaginda has stated, it was an abrupt decision that didn't come by a lot of consideration and deliberation, seeking to end all in a swipe move but of course, that wasn't going to work. CBN and NSEC failed to understand how the cryptocurrency industry works. There irrational decision was only followed by more participation as they ended up creating more awareness and drove people to be more private on there crypto investment/transactions.

The news as we have it now is one that comes from a very thoughtful individual as he not only seeks to lift ban but hopes to understand and find a common ground for proper categorisation and giving legal status to the niche.
1980  Economy / Economics / Re: This could be the biggest news in 2022 on: December 24, 2022, 10:09:29 PM
A good news for cryptocurrency for sure but that's just it. It doenst mean they would be operating on bitcoin or something. That's possible shah, accepting bitcoin deposit in exchange for local fiat currency. Not like they are the central bank or something, they would still function under the central bank regulations.
One thing I am wondering is, if the transaction would be done in bitcoin or they would have to buy fiat and in turn, proceed to  jying the bank as that would mean, flooding the market with coins and that could possibly result in a drop in price.
Other than speculated above, it would create a big business for the bank as local crypto users would flock to using the bank for there crypto transactions.
