1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slow down if you want to recover your losses on: December 20, 2022, 07:12:47 AM
The best advice will always be...  not to chase your losses, but your strategy is more focused on slowing down your own emotions. When players lose a lot of money, the emotions like "anger" kick in... and they want to have the last say or some kind of revenge... and that is the worst place to be in.

I also switch to something "smaller" ... to calm my emotions, when I hit a losing streak. If I can control that situation... I tend to hit something bigger to perk up my mood.  Wink

Damn! .... The new Hacksaw Game ==> Gronk's Gems is bad ass!

Now I know the volatility for Hacksaw Games are tough and the reported Volatility for Gronk's Gems is average, but I struggle my ass of to hit the features.  Tongue

Gronk’s Gems offers 96.24% RTP and Average risk level and x7500 win potential for a  Max win, but you have to work for it. The game is mobile optimized and can be played on any device.... so watch out for the Cave Troll at work, if you play there. 1963  Economy / Speculation / [2022-12-14] BTC bear market 70% dip kills BTC ‘tourists’ as metric screams buy on: December 20, 2022, 06:40:57 AM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-bear-market-70-dip-kills-btc-tourists-as-metric-screams-buy

“Euphoria from bitcoin tourists has now been completely destroyed,” Swift commented.

He added that under such circumstances, the risk-reward (R:R) ratio for investing is at its most attractive, based on historical trends from RHODL Waves.

So to simply it..... "Buy the Dip and profit Big"  Wink
1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just lost $4000 because of addresses starting with "bc1p" on: December 20, 2022, 06:31:01 AM
My take on this is....

A person or group of developers start a project, thinking that it is going to be the industry standard.... and then competition start to pop up... and then people fight over which project should be the industry standard.  Roll Eyes

1965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very thankful for what bitcoin has done for me. on: December 20, 2022, 06:20:25 AM
The first stage of my Bitcoin journey, paid for my house and most of my debt.. so it gave me financial freedom from the "Hamster Wheel" (Debt takes your freedom... and you have to work like a slave to pay back the Banks and other financial organizations)

The next part of my journey will help for me to go on early retirement, because I hate my current work. (I am grateful for my work, but the people that I work for is very bad)  Sad

Thank you Bitcoin & every person that made a difference to my World.   Wink Wink Wink
1966  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: December 19, 2022, 07:31:21 AM
Got my Bronze VIP and was rewarded by the Stake.
Stake gave me a bonus, the good thing about the bonus was that it doesn't have any requirements or wagering requirement and could be withdrawn anytime. Thank you Stake!

Why did you withdraw that....? You should have used that to level up to Silver, because the rewards just increase with every level you climb. I know the wagering requirement also increase with every level, but you need all the extra bonuses to climb through the early levels.

The reason why people level are not just for the bonus they get, but rather for the increased benefits that you get from that higher level in other promotions.

Ps... I bet on a DRAW after 90 minutes in the World Cup final and won some nice money!
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's been 2 months and now I am doing well.(I guess). on: December 19, 2022, 07:14:46 AM
As much as Binance pay provides a nice service to everyone who wants to receive payments, it is central and if a problem occurs, it may cause you to lose your money. If you have time and want to invest in Bitcoin for a long time, why not accept Bitcoin using an open source tool and give you complete control over your coins?
If you want to know more, read Bitcoin Payment Processors

We do not want to use Payment processors, because they convert all Crypto payments directly back into Fiat. A true Bitcoin transaction must take place between two parties and not with any intermediary third party service.

People must understand that Bitcoin was meant as an alternative payment option, without any centralized Payment processors. You should be in control of your own wealth. (Private Keys)  Roll Eyes

That Drake stream is a mess.

Well, at least he has won Eddie for the first time.. because he came up $2 000 000 up at the end. I also think the rewards for the Top 10 000 was a bit unfair.... some people waited until the early hours of the morning to watch his stream ..and I think they deserve a little bonus too.

A lot of people says it is boring ... but I think, just watching him putting "life changing" money on one bet, is something to behold. In any way.... Thanks Drake and the Stake community....for hosting this.  Grin
1969  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 18, 2022, 07:37:27 AM
Yes, we just spoke about this yesterday.... this sudden shift to "Work from home" have had a strange affect on the house prices in small towns. People can now work in any town they want, so they are moving to areas away from their town where their offices are situated. (Sometimes just going to their Office once or two times per month)

All meetings are done virtually and they do their admin work and/or programming etc... from another town. This has caused an increase of property prices in the strangest places.  Roll Eyes
1970  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Too much FUD: Why FUD against Binance doen't seem to be justified on: December 18, 2022, 07:24:50 AM
Well, I think a lot of people saw what Binance did to FTX Exchange and they think that Binance was the reason why FTX failed and a lot of people lost money. So I will not be surprised if there are a lot of butthurt people out there for revenge ...(ex-employees of FTX Exchange or people who has lost money)

I hope I am wrong... but this is cannot be a coincidence that we suddenly see a up surge of FUD against Binance.  Roll Eyes
1971  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.us social casino review- Play legally at Stake in US on: December 18, 2022, 07:16:58 AM
Stake makes enough money. I'm not sure why they want to go this way which is totally illegal. Calling it social gambling and using gold coins doesn't change anything.

That is what I was thinking....

How is this anything different to gambling... you are converting Fiat cash into some token that you can use to redeem something of value. Roll Eyes It looks like something similar to games at a Carnival.... where you buy tokens and then you play the game to win the giant Teddy Bear.  Huh

The US define Crypto as a Commodity ...so they cannot stop the rewards in Crypto... which is very smart on Stake.Us side. If you ask anything in the Stake.com Chat channels about Stake.us.. then you get warnings... they are saying it is not run by the same people... which is weird.  Roll Eyes
1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 17, 2022, 07:01:55 AM
In the early days of Bitcoin there were MANY attempts to include "gaming" concepts into Crypto currencies, but most of those attempts failed. I specifically remember a very nice "Battleship" game, where you had a PvP game play and you challenged other players.

I think most of these games failed, because people did not want to spend their coins. The potential for huge profits was simply too strong and people started to hoard their coins.  Roll Eyes
1973  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: December 17, 2022, 06:56:08 AM
The 2000s United States housing bubble was a real-estate bubble affecting over half of the U.S. states. It was the impetus for the subprime mortgage crisis. Housing prices peaked in early 2006, started to decline in 2006 and 2007, and reached new lows in 2011. Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000s_United_States_housing_bubble

So your theory that everything else are Bullshit.... actually stink, because real-estate had it's share of bullshit too.. and this happens in cycles in many different countries. (Real-estate are very complex, with a lot of things that can go wrong... example : Natural disasters / Rent not being paid / vandalism of your property etc...)
1974  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-12-16] Germany calls for global regulation of the cryptospace on: December 17, 2022, 06:48:24 AM
I agree with the German government that some measures should be put in place to prevent scams, but it should be limited and not over regulated like the New York "BitLicense" that was introduced back in the day.

Bitcoin should be "Self-Policed" by the people who are using it, because governments tend to over regulate "new" innovation and thus causing a scenario where they slow down or kill adoption.  Angry
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 17, 2022, 06:32:58 AM
Is this a "Bitcoin" problem or a "Human" problem?

The Bitcoin Protocol are pretty solid.... and with a little bit of research, anyone can safely store their coins. The centralized custodial services are run by humans and that human element bring risk to Bitcoin. (Weak code / Internal corruption / Mismanagement)

We humans are also very lazy and forgetful, so we add the human weakness to Bitcoin use. We want convenience with third party services handling our wealth.... but when we are offered the opportunity to have financial freedom, we humans drop the ball.  Roll Eyes
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the smart choice not the entire crypto industry on: December 17, 2022, 06:22:15 AM
Bitcoin are currently the "King of the Hill"... but it is not guaranteed that it will stay there. There are also other Alt coins with very good features, without the head start that Bitcoin has ....as the first coin that were released.

It is not bad for Bitcoin to have competition, because it keeps the Bitcoin developers on their toes. They have to continuously improve on the features to stay ahead of their competitors. (Example : Tx speed was a problem, to they developed the Lightning Network to improve the tx speed)  Wink
1977  Economy / Economics / Re: A breakthrough in thermonuclear fusion technology! End of the era of hydrocarbon on: December 16, 2022, 07:47:28 AM

Your opinion ? Forecasts? Are we witnessing an unexpected end to the era of hydrocarbon fuels? Should all oil / coal / gas producing countries prepare for a "new poor life"?

Just remember one thing..... The Oil / Coal / Gas giants have invested their profits into many other industries too, they will most probably invest their money into "new" technologies like this and continue making massive profits.

Abu Dhabi was formerly an undeveloped town of only local importance, but the emirate’s oil revenues enabled it to evolve into a modern city with a fully developed infrastructure. (Real Estate and Property Investments / Investing in Funds, Stocks, and Shares of other large companies)  Wink
1978  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of finance belongs to open source on: December 16, 2022, 07:21:30 AM
Proprietary code provides more security in my opinion.... where Open source has to go through Peer review, before it can be pushed into full operation. The financial institutions need more control over this whole reviewing of the code process, where they can hire certified external developers to alpha and beta test their software.

So I cannot see how Open source can provide better security, than Proprietary code? (Example : Mike Hearn and R3 development)
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There Any Crypto Casino With An In-built Mini Crypto Exchange? on: December 16, 2022, 07:08:32 AM
I think established gambling sites like Duelbits, Betfury, Stake, and many others have this feature built into their platform as it helps customers like you who oftentimes find themselves using the wrong coin for the wrong games. Although in the case of you wanting to easily exchange your bitcoin to usdt. You just need to acquaint yourself to their platform I guess.
OK, I've been playing on stake for a while now and I've not come across such a feature as being able to exchange or convert from one crypto coin to another.
Though your comment made me to go searching stake to try to find where the feature is, I didn't find anything except the ability to display coins in fiat chosen by the user.

This is also good, but in totality, it is absolutely different from what I am asking about.

Well, they do not use their own Crypto exchange ... but you can use https://dinabot.exchange/ that are linked to their Chat feature to exchange some coins. (It also works with PrimeDice.com which is their other casino)

I think the reason why so many of them do not have this, are the additional licenses and financial regulations that this adds to the operating burden. (it also needs extra Staff to manage the problems & maintenance of such a service)  Roll Eyes
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Better Ways To Manage Energy Consumption For Casino Centers. on: December 16, 2022, 07:02:10 AM
Well, a lot of the "Brick n Mortar" casinos are slowly shifting to a Online casino or a Crypto casino, which significantly reduce their energy footprint when they close down the  "Brick n Mortar" casino.  Wink

Some casinos also owned Hotels adjacent to the casino ...and they sold the Hotel to a new owner to cut their costs and to reduce their energy expenses.  Roll Eyes
