1961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 22, 2022, 06:23:48 PM
It could be a big amount but I don't think it will affect the entire operation, Stake has been here for how many years and I think that is long enough for them to save a million dollars for their revenue. If there is no other way to settle the case I think to continue their business they need to pay that amount. However, I did not see any sign that because this Stake will fall, that is still a very small amount for them, they are a big company right and that has a very popular name kin the online gambling industry and I think they need to come up with this problem.

The question is, would the jury agree that $400 million is a just settlement for the demands of the plaintiff? Before the money is awarded, of course there'd be a trial, and the court will review all the details and see whether or not the complaint can push through or they will drop it. From the looks of things, Stake has the upper hand on this legal battle however that is not up to me or the articles online to decide. Pretty sure Stake would not back down from this as their statement sounds somewhat confident that they have this case on their hands.

There's no way that the court will even think of granting that kind of amount, $400 Million for a settlement? That's absurd! I cannot even imagine that the plaintiff who is a former partner of Stake seriously thinks that the company will just give what he wants. But even before they get to that point, the court will likely dismiss the case because the plaintiff didn't provide serious and solid evidence.
The case is still in progress and we dont know on what are the evidences that Freeman might show off which might result into the success of asking such huge amount. He had just asked out
on what share he should have.We dont know on what are the real numbers in terms of revenues been made but he wont really be making out those huge chunks
if he do sees that the company isnt really making that big revenue.Dismissing directly? I dont think so.

Directly? No, that won't happen because there's nothing like that in the real world but eventually I think it will be dismissed. Also, you got some point that Christopher Freeman may have some trump card in his sleeve that will likely make the case move to the opposite direction but as of this point, I think he doesn't have any of that. He should throw some proof first because that amount he's trying to ask is not a simple amount and it really looks like it was all allegations because he failed to provide some substantial evidence.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2022, 05:56:27 PM
I was glad to read that Robert Sarver will be selling the Phoenix Suns and Mercury teams.  He's going to walk away with close to a billion dollars in profit, or possibly more, but I think this is the right move for everyone involved.  The NBA doesn't have to force their players to play for a racist guy anymore, and Sarver is a businessman who gets to walk away with a billion without having to worry about letting people down (since he already did that).  I think this is a win-win, which started out pretty ugly, so congrats to the NBA for getting what they wanted without having to strong arm an owner.

I'm glad that issue went well and that Sarver decides to let Phoenix Suns go that was once under his arms, yes, I believe it's a win-win situation for the former owner and for the players. Sarver may walk billion dollars more in the future if he will but that also means that the players under him will still be criticized because of his attitude. I hope the new owner will be much caring to his players and will have a professional attitude.

2. Manny Pacquiao vs. Jaber Zayani - February 2023 (Saudi Arabia)
So this is Manny's former sparring partner? Just so weird that Manny had to accept this fight, but in any case if this is going to be made in Saudi, then for sure money are going to flow in this one as we all know that this is a rich Arab nation and they are all crazy on boxing in the last couple of years. So it will be good for Manny if he will be exposed in the Middle East, but for sure he has a lot of fans there. So he will be busy after his December fight with a South Korean Youtuber and then Feb with Zayani.

The fight tickets will surely sell-out if a date will be determined soon. Anyway, I didn't really expected that, why would Manny fight his former sparring partner in an exhibition fight? Is there some beef between them that I didn't know? Or this is just a born rivalry inside the camp? I'm starting to get curious because out of all boxers or any fighters out there, Manny is going to have an exhibition fight to his former sparring partner, Jaber.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 21, 2022, 08:05:02 PM
There is a lot of speculation about Shakur, I really wouldn't know what to do with an eventual bet of this kind, when we go to see each other Conceicao is a very good boxer, and it's not for nothing, but I've liked the fights I've seen of him a lot, it is also hard and surely Conceicao will not want to surrender and fight with everything.

I am in telegram groups that are very active in boxing and have a lot of confidence in Shakur, so the odds will be very much in his favor, and this urges me to bet more on Conceicao because the profits that can be produced if the He wins sopn very big, of course I see this from the point of view of a bettor and at the same time as an athlete.

Robson is a decent boxer and can keep up with other excellent boxers in the league too that's why he got this far but the downside is that he have some limitations on how long he can keep up, we saw how he was defeated by Valdez while Shakur didn't have some much trouble defeating Valdez and we can see that the scores are quite wide to compare.

But I support you on your decision mate, Robson's odds is good if ever he wins in this fight but his chances are just slim. Anyway, we never know for sure because there has been lots of upsets lately.

Robson and Shakur both have a very good track record when it comes to their fights.
As of right now, Shakur has fought 18 fights and hasn't lost a single one of them.
As well as Robson, he also fought 18 times. As of right now, he has 17 wins and one loss to his name.

It looks like this will be a really close fight, based on the way it looks on paper. It is true that, at the same time, it does seem like the pendulum is a little bit heavy towards Shakur's side at the moment. But that does not mean Shakur is going to be the winner. There is no doubt that both fighters are very capable and that this is going to be a very interesting fight between them.

Yes, they both have a good record in their respective career but we cannot really base everything in the paper as that's not how the winner of the fight is decided and perhaps watching their recent performances will help us to see who will likely dominate. Also, based on that, I think we can quite assume that it will be Shakur. But yes, it's not decided yet, so let's see it together in the day of their fight.

Well, the statistics may favor Shakur much more than Robson, but we all know very well that both boxers, at least for me, are at the same level, and this fight will bear very good fruit, because the bettors are active in everything, both in statistics As for the speculations of forums, of what they see on TV and on social networks, it is not because I go by the numbers or that I am a fan of the statistics, but I think that Shakur is the one who has the best chance of winning in this case, I don't know, I may be wrong, Robson's skills are very good too, it is difficult to establish which boxer has an advantage over the other.

In short, may it statistics/paper or chances, Shakur Stevenson has the higher hand on this fight compared to Robson even if we say that he's somehow a decent boxer. We cannot possibly deny that Shakur might have this fight like he's not struggling at all, we may wrong but sticking to chances, there's a big percentage that we are correct.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 21, 2022, 07:05:22 PM
As for Ancajas, he has more than enough reasons why he needed to win this fight because his career will go down if he will get defeated again by Martinez. But I believe that this time he can defeat Martinez and maybe he can go fight with Joshua Franco afterwards to claim the WBA belt.

If Ancajas doesn't get any trouble in gaining the required weight limit, I am somehow confident that he can win this rematch.  We will see a different Ancajas since he will be fully conditioned and possibly have enough stamina to box until the 12th round.  We have seen the capability of Ancajas to absorb Martinez's punches, so we don't need to worry about that.  Besides, I think Martinez will slug it out again and I believe Ancajas will have a counter strategy for that.

That is his biggest challenge because his enemy is also his own self, might be hard to do but he don't have that much choice as he needed overcome his current situation if he doesn't want to climb another division and leave what he started in 115 pounds. And if by fortunate chance Ancajas will have no troubles this time then I believe that there's no barrier anymore that is holding him to defeat Martinez and he will be crowned as IBF champion again.

I am a bit skeptical to the ideas of Bitcoin islands, though, as I've heard of several such projects in different countries, but not a single one that was actually successful. Of course, maybe it will be different in the Philippines, but I'm not sure. If it's going to be a luxurious resort, I doubt many citizens will actually be able to afford it.
Well, the said place is actually a luxurious Island and one of the most popular tourist spot in the world, so calling it a Bitcoin Island for me is fair and better.

We never know, Boracay Island or soon to be known as Bitcoin Island will be a successful project in the future that will be the 1st for the Philippines or anywhere in the world, for now they haven't launched it properly and it was stated that they are still trying to talk to the small-medium business owners to start collecting payments in the form of BTC.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 21, 2022, 04:04:21 PM
Speaking of coming off the bench, there's a rumor that Westbrook might probably become a part of the Lakers' backup squad for the first time in his career since his rookie days. Westbrook is always part of the starting lineup the entire his career.

Schroder will now be the starting PG adding to that.

Maybe part of Coach Darvin Ham's plan. Let's see.
Ooh, that's like a liver punch to Westbrook if they implement it. I am not sure, maybe this will be good. If it's not, then he could just change it back.
Spice things up a bit unlike what Coach Vogel did benching Dwight Howard which is still strong even at his age.
So, we might see Westbrook decreasing in minutes per game. That's his plan that he had been telling after he was announced as the new coach.
We will see, it's difficult to judge now. If it works, Lakers bandwagon will be back.
I think the plan is not to lower his playing minutes, but more like who he plays with instead. I still think that he will be starting point guard for sure, maybe not for a few games to test some stuff but he will get back, but even if he is not it is going to be Dennis starting, and then whenever people are benched, Westbrook will take the spot and finish the game.

I think I heard some news that he is still on starting line up and this is good news if he retain that spot because it shows that Lakers will give him second chance to prove his self to them and to their fans. If he fail again for sure he will be replaced by Schroder or Bev then he might go more lower knowing that many teams already avoid him for what performance he show last season.

There are so many rumors nowadays that are surfacing on the internet regarding Westbrook's situation on the Lakers, he might start in the starting five but there's another option that he will come from bench as part of the back-up squad. As of now, I think those rumors will remain rumor while they haven't started their training camp yet. I bet Darvin Ham is still drawing some sketch nowadays on how will he utilize the team that is almost full of point guards.

1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 20, 2022, 07:40:23 PM
^ how can one could not see the difference of the two by just looking at the odds. Shakur def has the edge of Rob.

Rob is sure gonna be robbed. isn't this irresponsible for wbo and wbc to match robson who lost against valdez and then match to someone who beats valdez?  shakur could fight a p4p and win by KO. robson is not ranked on p4p list.

Robson is ranked number 2 by WBC and WBO, so I don't think it's irresponsible for them to match the champion of their belt at this weight division, against their second best.

And if you have watch the fight between Robson Conceicao vs Oscar Valdez, it was very close, others might have scored it on favor of Robson. But the rest is history, Shakur defeated Valdez and the he is trying to clean up both divisions by fighting the second best rank boxer.

Yup, there are indeed some people who are saying that Robson might have won that fight and base on the judge's score, the gap wasn't far enough to say that Valdez has won dominantly. Although, I've read too that people aren't happy why they are letting Robson face Shakur when in fact Robson lost to Valdez already.

Perhaps that is the sticking point of this match, to see how Robson will fare against Shakur because he almost beat Valdez in their fight. Robson had the numbers but the judges think he didn't do enough to get a nod and win that fight.

Anyway, this is the best chance for Shakur to prove again why he won against Valdez while Robson struggled to do so. As said above, Shakur is having a clean up program.

Or best way for Robson to show us his talent that he can hang with the best version of Shakur. And in the future, if Shakur decided to move up in wight, Robson might have a clear path to fight for the vacant belt.

And on the other hand, if Shakur wins in dominant fashion, as he had said, he is having a hard time making 130 and so he might go up to 135 lbs and face his main target, Tank Davis.
Might be the case but people already know that almost is still not enough and fact is Valdez still won the fight, while Shakur defeated Valdez dominantly just like how the scorecard says. Don't know what Robson thinks that he can give to Shakur this time but the latter is straight as an arrow, so I definitely bet that he won't give Robson a chance to stop him.

Quote
And on the other hand, if Shakur wins in dominant fashion, as he had said, he is having a hard time making 130 and so he might go up to 135 lbs and face his main target, Tank Davis.
Well see it soon if Shakur is indeed struggling to fit himself in 130 pounds because I think that is just a plain rumor. Also, if Shakur decides to go straight to Tank Davis on his debut in lightweight, chances are high that Tank will just embarrass Shakur.
1970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 20, 2022, 06:45:01 PM
Yes, betting on Jake Paul is much more profitable as he is considered as underdog by the bookies while Silva is a heavy favorite. People might be confused because they probably know more about Silva than Jake Paul who is still struggling to be a full pledge boxer in the eyes of the people, but Jake is likely going to be the winner here and might defeat the former MMA fighter by a way of knockout especially when the fight drags on while Silva is grasping for air.

I'm rooting for Silva here because he's much older and Jake Paul is cocky and as some people have said already likes to pick on washed up fighters past their prime, although Silva can't be described that way. I watched his fight against Chavez Jr. and he's still good. You might try to bet on Jake because of how much you can get if he wins, but the winner is most likely going to be Silva, unless something unpredictable happens. A fight can turn after a simple mistake. Your eye gets cut and you get a stoppage, things like that.

Gotta hand that to you, that fight was almost crystal clear that Silva is not a washed out fighter and still has reflexes because he defeated the former middleweight champion in his own sport, Chavez Jr. Although, I'm not a fan of Jake Paul, it's still hard for me to believe that Silva can win this time and the latter will be the one to teach him lessons. Well, this is interesting to see next month, ain't going to let this slide.
1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ask Question to Dr Craig Wright ? on: September 19, 2022, 08:59:22 PM
You can directly ask question to Dr  Craig Steven Wright in this thread.

Honestly, I don't think there is any question that could be asked that will get an honest answer. You just can't believe anything he says, whether it is true or not. The lies and fraudulent acts are numerous and well-documented, and completely destroy any credibility that he might have once had.
People who have plans of making fraudulent acts intentionally will never be transparent and become honest in their words and actions. I guess that’s how this thread is all about. You can’t just expect us to ask questions and expect for honest answers. The fact that he’s not Satoshi, then we don’t have to see him significant by all means.
1972  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need some advice on: September 19, 2022, 08:41:58 PM
I need some thoughts about this group I've joined a week a go. They are giving free signals for trading and I actually start earning since day 1. Are there really group like this? or Am I on the right trading group. We trade in Batex anf U-koala.
If you can earn from that free signal group, you can go ahead but be careful because you don't know how long they will offer the free signals. I don't know if trading groups that share free signals exist and provide free signals without any other intention. As far as I know, later, they will offer a paid signal package where you have to pay a certain amount of money to get more and more reliable signals.

As for a place to trade, I wonder why you don't trade on the well-known Binance but instead choose the exchange. But maybe you have other reasons but whatever the place of exchange is, you also have to be careful and don't use money that you can't afford to lose.
I think it’s more risky OP to take and follow other trading signals since you can’t be sure if it’s reliable and will just lose your money eventually. However, it it works then that’s good as long as you won’t be obliged to pay later on. But if I were you OP, just develop your own skills in making good trading signals so that if you lose, you have no one to blame and your mistakes will always motivate you to learn more and do better. That way, you will see progress in yourself without relying from others.
1973  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 19, 2022, 08:20:45 PM
I don't see anything surprising or "unnatural"! If you are not paralyzed and are not completely incapacitated, there will always be an opportunity to either learn something new, or apply the previously accumulated experience to something. Of course, you should not try to become a povermen at 95, or an astronaut at 100 - there simply physiological limitations will become an obstacle, but intelligence can be used at virtually any age and in any condition!
Well, there are no rules in life that people at the age of 50 or 60 above should stop seizing life’s opportunities. They can always chose to chase for it and continue to reach their set goals and live their dreams regardless of their old age. However, only few of these people still manage to reach exceptional achievements in life since most of them are just enjoying the years left before they pass away.
1974  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It Is Dangerous To Completely Rely On Cryptocurrencies on: September 19, 2022, 07:46:08 PM
It may be more to the point that there is always a risk in cryptocurrency investment and any investment.
So far, we understand that cryptocurrency is something that is tempting and can bring significant profits. But behind it all, cryptocurrencies also have risks, whether high, medium, or high. This will depend on what coin we choose to invest in. Let alone altcoins that have risks, Bitcoin still has risks. However, in this case, we can manage the risk to fit the portion and we can manage it to avoid the risk. Therefore there are some important things that must be owned before investing in cryptocurrencies.
I guess as long as they are considered investments, there will always be risks of losing particularly for crypto as they are highly volatile and uncertain. However, if you have good knowledge on crypto and you are capable of choosing the right crypto coins to invest, then the risks will be lessen and you will have more chances of profiting than losing. But as a friendly advice, relying completely for crypto investments is never advisable. You can always have crypto investments but see to it that you have also your main source of living so that when crypto fails, you will never be broken when it comes to finances.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Well! Bitcoin doesn't have this problem on: September 19, 2022, 07:21:21 PM
For how long should people understand the importance to have bitcoins for emergencies such as this one?

They found it once they change their mind and stop from thinking it was a scam and useless stuff. Because as long as they are in that negative mindset, nothing will be able to see but all of the negative views of Bitcoin. However, I'd see no reason why we have to urge people from adopting this new form of the payment system as it was the first for them to learn it and give value to this new creation. I have no clue what is really in their mind but for sure, the doubts and worries make them afraid to try.
Apparently, doubts and fears are the possible hindrances why people still hesitate to trust bitcoin over banks. Though most of the spreading news these days are mostly fake news, but if the people will start to know deeply about bitcoin and how it can be reliable more than banks, then they will always chase for it and make it as their own banks. I guess as long as the government continue to see bitcoin as a threat, people will also be afraid to trust bitcoin more than banks.
1976  Economy / Economics / Re: "Be your own Bank with Bitcoin" - A reminder why this is so important! on: September 18, 2022, 11:23:38 PM
This type of story always makes me laugh. She literally had to "rob" the bank to get her own money, and like she could have asked for more, she could have asked for everyone’s money, the bank was probably willing after seeing her with the gun, and that means she purposely didn't want anyone’s money, she just wanted her own money and that is a wonderful thing.

I know that we shouldn't glorize these type of gun related stuff, it is traumatizing to so many people who were in the bank that day, and the teller has no say in this, banks decide this and the one you point the gun to is a teller, not the bank CEO, but still, getting out with only her money is a good move.
But that won’t change the fact that what she did is still against the law, threatening a lot of people intentionally. Although she has her own reasons, but I guess the bank itself has its certain reason too why they did that. But apparently, if the woman trusted bitcoin instead, it would be very impossible to happen. I hope this will be a wake up call for everyone to be responsible on managing their own finances, even without the presence of centralized banks.
1977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning From Trading Without Any Professional Knowledge on: September 18, 2022, 08:45:50 PM
I do want to know if it's possible for a starter to gainfully earn from Crypto trading without having to go through a professional training.
Most of the successful traders do not go through professional training, but they make sure they acquired first knowledge and skills, and relevant experiences that will mold them to become pro traders in the long run. As experience is the best teacher, then a good trader will likely to experience a lot of inevitable losses at first before he can make successful and profitable trades in the end.
1978  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone think it will be much harder to buy bitcoin later on down the road? on: September 18, 2022, 08:21:27 PM
I don't see any reason it will become harder to buy Bitcoin especially when Bitcoin price is really high, I'd think it will be more easier to buy Bitcoin because everyone want to buy Bitcoin and they will prefer to an exchanges with smooth or few steps only rather than the complicated one.

I think it will harder to buy Bitcoin when the government strengthen their rules, especially when they completely ban Bitcoin. So your choice is only to buy Bitcoin via DEX and using mixer to increase your privacy.
That might be the future case for bitcoin as the government is still determine not to accept bitcoin even if it’s already legal. When that time comes, though adoption in some certain places will be visible, but as long as centralized exchanges operate in accordance with the law of the government, then buying bitcoin regardless of its price might also be compromised.
1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 17, 2022, 11:21:08 PM
I believe everyone here onboard this platform once had a very  though and challenging moment with bitcoin at the initial start. At first it seems unrealistic then looks like a scam but at last it was a real deal. sharing our experiences and worst moment might just help others build on and also bring us back to the very first beginning of our journey into bitcoin then. This would also help us evaluate how far we have gone and also creates room for more on-boarding of more adopters. Sharing our experiences on how we started would also encourage more to be steadfast  in the system. This would go a long way in helping others at the verge of giving up on bitcoin.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?
I always see bitcoin as a challenge everyday. But remembering having a worst moment in it, I can say I don’t have any because I came into the market well prepared and knowledgeable about bitcoin. When bitcoin price drops badly, I understand that it’s only a part of its volatility and eventually it will always recover and start surging its price again. I guess being patient is already my best virtue and that helps me so much not to panic every time bitcoin is very unstable.

I’m not reading the opinion of analyst here but I thought Jake will be the underdog on this fight?
Yeah Jake Paul is an underdog in this fight, I think it's good since I see Paul has higher chance to win against Silva, so I definitely bet hit without any hesitant. Silva career is over since he's already old, similar like Mike Tyson where he accept anything if he's offered with money. I expect Paul will win via KO on the late round when Silva run out of his stamina, so he either survive and slowing down or being aggressive and tired.

Yes, betting on Jake Paul is much more profitable as he is considered as underdog by the bookies while Silva is a heavy favorite.
