1961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: March 13, 2016, 11:42:10 AM
bitcoin is one of the most secure things that you can put your money in. anything else is easily can be lost or robbed. but you can store bitcoin with multiple encryptions in a safe place that even if robbed nobody can access the funds without the password(s)
1962  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving has already Begun, Yes or No? on: March 13, 2016, 11:39:53 AM
Not yet imo, till the price between 390$-420$ i don't see the halving effect. Let's wait for the +500$ then the effects will begin  Wink

i agree. the halving effect is going to be at least $400 more.

right now it is just the normal way of price rise which has been happening for nearly a year now. when the halving happens the price should be at least $800-$1000
1963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 12, 2016, 03:01:59 PM
in the world of cryptocurrencies tradins sometimes feel like a gamble because it is hard to speculate the market sometimes. and that is because crypto market is full of manipulation and some of the altcoin markets are small enough to be easily pushed around with a couplf of BTC.
but this doesn't mean that trading should be considered a gamle. there is still ways of predicting things and investing accordingly that will help you beat the market for profit.
1964  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: March 12, 2016, 02:45:58 PM
my plan is to invest as much money as i can into bitcoin by buying it as long as the price is low and i can afford to buy more. also i am planning on accumulating more bitcoin through investments, trading and other jobs so in the near future when the price went up sell some of it for profit and spend bitcoin wherever it was possible.
1965  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: March 12, 2016, 02:42:02 PM
It sure will be a good year for bitcoin. The price is back up finally so now it's time for some new technologies integrated in bitcoin
do you think bitcoin prices will rise up to ? many people who say that. This year was a wonderful year for bitcoin, if the price does not exceed $ 500 I would not say that this is the year of bitcoin
well if the price does not rise it does not mean that it was a bad year for bitcoin, as companies might still adopt them

though i hope that this year will be wonderful because after halving the price will be pumped up and people will get interested into bitcoins
of course this year setback if it can not go up more than $ 500. because in the previous year 2015. bitcoin already touched $ 500 mate ? I hope that 2016 could be more than that

this year is for sure going to be a lot more better thatn last year. the slow and steady rise which has been the natural growth of bitcoin alone will raise the price above $500.

and don't forget about the halving which is nearing. i am expecting a big rise because of that alone.
1966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good way to concisely explain Bitcoin? on: March 11, 2016, 05:04:30 PM
if you want to keep things simple and easy to understand then use a short "flash" video that shows how bitcoin works. but it might require you to spend some time creating content.

you can even use the new high quality small size "Webm" format for it, so it can be run on browsers without flash player installed.
1967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: March 11, 2016, 05:00:49 PM
Bitcoin is a currency and it can be used for legal and illegal activities.
So its the person who uses currency. It can be any currency.
So bitcoin is not bad in itself, it the usage with determines the action

Good explanation.
You can use a knife to cut bread or to stab someone...
Its the person who decides if something is used for good or bad action.

Yes bitcoin is getting used for criminal activities, but does not every currency is used for criminal activities.
I think it will not hurt the bitcoin because every currency has this problem right ?

ofcourse bitcoin (just like any other currency) is being used by criminals too but i think it is going to hurt bitcoin more than other currencies even though this usage is so small.

the reason for that is the fact that bitcoin is a new currency while others are old and already being used by many people.
1968  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500 Within 2 Months? on: March 11, 2016, 04:55:31 PM
So almost 1 month over since the opening post.
Price at that time had been around $396.
So far we haven't seen that much of an increase.
But still enough time to see the 500 happening.

if the block size drama and the ETH pump hype had not happened bitcoin price was around $500 by now. but if things continue the way they are right now i think it is possible to reach $500 within the next month.

1970  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: March 11, 2016, 04:49:14 PM
at this point i think holding bitcoin is the best option we have. the price is stable for now and doesn't seems to be able to go below $400 .

also a big rise is most probable.

1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: February 19, 2016, 03:19:59 PM
By the way can anyone tell Cold storage is better than paper wallet. or both are equal in terms of security ?

paper wallet is a type of cold storage.
cold storage means storing bitcoin in a wallet or bitcoin address which was created offline.
so it can be created with any of the famous bitcoin wallets (core,armory,electrum,...) or you can find a code that creates just bitcoin address with private keys.
1975  Economy / Speculation / Re: Welcome back $410 on: February 19, 2016, 03:16:28 PM
finnaly nice to see bitcon for 400$ again, it could be a stable price of btc finnaly, would be awesome
it is way too soon to see any stable price for long period of time.
bitcoin is still young and is sometimes being manipulated so the price will continue to swing from time to time until it gets big and reaches the mass adoption stage.
1976  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: February 19, 2016, 03:11:06 PM
i will always keep bitcoin in my cold storage. no matter what the price is going to be i will hold it at least for 5 more years.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 19, 2016, 03:07:42 PM

1978  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature Campaigns on: February 19, 2016, 02:59:19 PM

1979  Other / Off-topic / Re: How would you guys react if you guys lost 10, 000 bitcoin? on: February 19, 2016, 02:56:18 PM
Seriously? If I had that amount of bitcoin and someone hacked my wallet and I found out who did it, I will definitely go where he is and I might call a police to pick him up and give back my coins. But if I don't know who did it, then I will feel depressed and might just forget about bitcoin and live a normal life with just working with my day job...

this is what i would do if i had lost 10000BTC: Cool
I don't know who you are.
I don't know what you want.
If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money.
But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career.
Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.
If you let my daughter gogive back my bitcoins now, that'll be the end of it.
I will not look for you, I will not pursue you.

But if you don't,
......I will look for you,
.............I will find you,
.....................and I will kill you.

good luck Cool
