1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming rich owning all altcoins in 5 years? on: February 19, 2017, 08:16:03 AM
Would one be super rich if one now bought 1000 of each altcoin under a dollar at the time of this writing 5 years from now?
I don’t think so, and the reason it is very simple, there are simply too many coins where you can put your money, if you have a crystal ball to predict which of those coins will be worth something then you may have a case but that is not possible.
1962  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: February 19, 2017, 08:08:55 AM
Basically I try to stay calm no matter what, if I win I try to not make a huge fuss about it I just accept it and move on, I’m very good at this sometimes I can be up for a huge margin and my friends come up and say something like, how much have you lost? When they discover I’m actually up they cannot believe why I’m so calm.
1963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: February 19, 2017, 08:06:41 AM
My definition is simple putting money behind something you have no way to know or influence the outcome and where the possibilities of winning are very low, by that definition I consider investing in HYIP or sites like that gambling since you are going to lose money in the long run.
1964  Economy / Economics / Re: Investors dumping gold-switching to bitcoin? on: February 19, 2017, 08:02:04 AM
Why wouldn't they switch to bitcoin from gold. There are so many reasons why bitcoin is anyday better than gold.
Our purchased gold 5 years agoand now it's value it almost half and is still on the fall. I wouldn't trust gold as the price is controlled indirectly by the government. Comparing gold with bitcoin I purchases few bitcoins right after the bitfinex hack and now I'm getting returns of 70% just in 7 months while gold getting returns of -40% after 5-7 years
Gold more than an investment is a store of value while it has lost some value in the past years in the long run the ups and downs should average and you will retain your purchase power, it seems that may be you bought when the price of gold was high and now you are stuck with that is not really that much different to the people that bought bitcoin back in the day on the biggest bubble of bitcoin.
1965  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Will It Affect The Bitcoin Price, If Satoshi Tell The Truth ? on: February 19, 2017, 07:56:45 AM
If Satoshi Nakamoto tell the mysterious truth about his Bitcoin and Blockchain invention and all the secrets to the media, how will it affect the Bitcoin Price ?
What secrets? Everything is there to see, you can see his posts, you can see the source code if you want and see if you find something there, the only secret that Satoshi kept was his identity and at this point who he is is irrelevant for the price of bitcoin.
1966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we ReBrand Bitcoin? on: February 15, 2017, 05:58:02 AM
Rebranding can also go the other way, some artist have changed their image in order to reinvent themselves only to discover the public does not even recognize them and the change of image has a negative effect.
1967  Economy / Economics / Re: Investors dumping gold-switching to bitcoin? on: February 15, 2017, 05:55:17 AM
Was reading a review about Simpefx day trading platform. As Im looking to get into Forex trading, and get away from gold. (for now)
Looks like im not the only one. Tons of investors are dumping gold....

"Gold has been on a wild ride since the U.S. election, plummeting immediately after Election Day and regaining a bit of ground since the final week of 2016."

Full Article Here
Real gold bugs are not going to sell their gold, just for a price fluctuation, they are probably planning to hold for the entire lives, so those that are making the switch are speculators trying to get more profits, I don’t blame them just stating things as they are.
1968  Economy / Exchanges / Re: buy bitcoin with credit card without registraation on: February 15, 2017, 05:50:46 AM
Hello, I finding website where I can buy bitcoins with credit cards without registration. Only enter e-mail and bitcoin wallet.
You are not going to find a website like that, and even if you did found a site like that, you can be sure it will close its doors very fast since scammers will use it to buy bitcoin with stolen credit cards.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: February 15, 2017, 05:48:39 AM
I prefer the fast action of dice, it is easy to play, and while I know I'm going to lose there are some days I get lucky and make some money not much, but it is better than nothing.
1970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin segwit activation. What happened? on: February 15, 2017, 05:46:01 AM
I do not know why some think that segwit is a useless upgrade for litecoin because it already can process 4x more of bitcoin's transactions. Segwit is not really a scaling solution but an upgrade to fix the malleablility issue and to open up the network for other layers to be built on top of it. Some say smart contracts will be possible under segwit.

Those are all good points that some just seem to want to ignore. The comments indicating miners don't want it because of lost fees is another one that's not logical. Litecoin miners make next to nothing on fees now. If smart contracts, the LN and other types of layers get built on top of it the price is going to go up. That increased value will increase profitability far more than any fees being earned. I guess cherry picking a single point and ignoring the big picture is important to some folks.
But if litecoin miners are not earning much with things as they are now then they are going to earn even less if segwit it is activated, it is not about picking a single issue, it is about miners hurting their own interest with no apparent gain for themselves, so it is doubtful it’s going to happen.
1971  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade sites that do not fee? on: February 13, 2017, 06:45:45 PM
As far as I know, Chinese trading sites did not charge a transaction fee. They have recently begun to charge transaction fees.
Are there any trade sites that do not charge a transaction fee?
It is difficult to believe there is going to be an exchange that lets you use their platform without a cost since they are a business and they have to make earning somehow, so instead of looking an exchange like that look for a reputed exchanger.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin segwit activation. What happened? on: February 13, 2017, 06:42:38 PM
The best thing to do right now it is to wait and see if it is ever activated, but as some have said, I don’t see how segwit can benefit LTC since it is bitcoin the one that needs to activate it, maybe they are trying to push the price up by activating segwit before bitcoin does.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 13, 2017, 06:38:55 PM
When we think about investments we imagine investors with big sums of money, so for btc casino it would be 1 or more btc, for instance. However, the minimum amount you can invest is usually 0.01btc which is only 10$. Do you think such investments are profitable but you earn small sums or maybe they don't make sense at all? Can someone explain it to me?

Small investments works in any business, same in the case of gambling it also work, in gambling risk is very high and mostly people lost their money so if you invest small amount you will loose small amount. It takes a little bit time to increase your coins but it is safe.
Gambling is no a way to earn money, you may get lucky once in a while but make no mistake, you will sooner or later find out that there is no way to earn money when you gamble your money.
1974  Economy / Economics / Re: Prediction for 2017 - share your views on: February 13, 2017, 06:36:47 PM
I think we will see a further lowering of the price probably until the 800 dollars mark, that will give to us the opportunity to buy bitcoin at a cheaper price and that will prepare us for the next pump that I predict will allow us to reach the highest price ever for bitcoin.
1975  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2017, 06:30:58 PM
most people just using bitcoin for investation
don't know how exactly number of people using bitcoin  Cheesy
regardless of bitcoin used for investment or currency. I believe bitcoin users has reached millions of people. you can see a lot of people around the world already know about bitcoin? that is the mark
But knowing about bitcoin is not the same as holding bitcoin, I'm sure there are hundreds of millions of people that at least have heard of bitcoin but of those only a small portion of the population has any holding in bitcoin.
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: actual number of people using Bitcoin? on: February 12, 2017, 08:42:19 PM
Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.
There is no way to know any of those answers op, the nature of bitcoin makes it impossible to know with certainty, we can speculate and at best get close to the real numbers but that is it.
1977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Newbie on: February 12, 2017, 08:40:34 PM
Hey all.  So i want to start trading, but i have almost no idea what to do. So i would love if someone would disscus that with me and eberyone else Smiley

So, to start trading, i need site for that. I would want to do altcoins/bitcoins trading, i used to know one site but can't find it anymore...

And then, any tips here for me and other newbies? Buy cheap sell expensive is not tip i search for Smiley What mistakes to avoid, what to never do etc.

If you have almost no idea of what to do then the best advice is to not start to trade until you have a plan of what you want to do, how, why, and how much you want to earn, if you don't you are going to fail miserably.

1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 12, 2017, 08:35:54 PM
Yes, we need to do more small and diverse investment for big risk, you know all-in in a place is very risky, if we can make small investment we may get huge gain, even it is lost, it is small, won't affect our life.
I do not think that you can easily earn money from your small capital. You just throw your money away in some nonsense project and you can never have anything from them. I prefer to use the big capital in order to have good income for a long term.
That is why sometimes is more important to spend our time accumulating more capital and knowledge than to try to start early and earn peanuts out of our capital, there are always going to be opportunities to earn in the world of crypto.
1980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE RISE AND RISE OF MONERO on: February 12, 2017, 08:33:20 PM
Monero has been increasing spectacularly, despite this it's value has to be held in order to qualify it as a secondary currency.

Even though LiteCoin is silver, there is still room for more because of the integration alternative coins have in boom cycles which they rely on to enable increases in circulation to spiral prices and connect economies.

BTC is by far the most expensive and since it introduced itself starting off in the way it did, there's nothing to match its growth... Bitcoin may top gold and so will many alt-coins every day that goes by.

Sorry, but I differ. There's no room for LTC when it has nothing besides some early momentum over XMR. Once there's a strong #2, why do we need a #3 which is inferior in every technical comparison? I don't hate LTC, I just don't see it as innovative enough to survive with any sort of relevance. It'll be the next Feathercoin.

LTC has a perfect niche for moving funds between exchanges.

LTC was a perfect niche for moving funds between exchanges. Why do you expect that to continue once XMR has both better features and better volume?

Because people are stupid and don't change. And xmr is not on many exchanges. Smiley
We need monero on more exchanges that is true but slowly it seems more exchanges are adding it and I don't see why it will not be on more exchanges by the end of the year.
