Actually the pool didn't like my beer last time, so I'm having wine with my steak tonight.
Going to have a roasted loin of pork. With a side of home made vanilla ice cream. And some fresh cherries. Not drinking anything but black coffee today.

while smaller coins/algos are being taken over by fpgas, lux forked in attempt to fight them off but it seems to be useles.Latest bitstream is for 0x token, currently they are doing about x10-x15 higher speed then 1 1080ti on way lower power ofc
Yeah, but that FPGA costs $4000 (correction - might cost $6000 now, as Xilinx is no dummy about repricing in the face of a sudden increase in demand). So, about 5x (to 9x) the price for 10x-15x the speed. Not nearly as impressive when put into context. And if an asic is built it further damages that coin price. Right now no tech for oddball coins has much promise. all pow is based on converting electrical power into coins. If gpus are going to be wiped out only cheap power works to make profit. Gpus had lots going for them ie they have other uses and true resale. asic and fpga will not have this. gpus were available from real sellers world wide with real warranties. ASics and FPGA don't do this I still see hope for gpus I see a rendering rental- combined with a render pow coin as a possibility .

So my only question is, is this going to give those that bought 1525s buyers remorse?
Depends, but if you got one not so much. I have been holding some coin and selling some 1080ti's. I am in no real rush to drop a lot of money on fpga or on acorn 2 tech. I am hold a bit of cash. To me the shift away from gpu's means only cheap power is of value. ASic's = disposable gear with no resale FPGA's = risky unknown with unknown resale value. GPU's = not very good at mining but vale in gaming wide spread users. Best hope is not the Acorn2 or the FPGA beat hope is a render for rent serice that can get a boost from the Acorn2 Still holding about 12 13 1080ti's rest of the gpus are gone.

Wow that thing looks beastly! Makes me realize how much of a small time miner I am. In dec/Jan 2017/2018. I had 30 1080tis and 20 1070tis I was around 30000 sols and making around 300 a day. It was nice while it lasted. How much would the same amount of hash make today? How far down are we? Per whattomine.com, 30k sols would earn about $50 on an equihash coin today. So at least 180k sols or 180 1080tis and 120 1070tis

I'd be more worried about earthquakes and landslides with modern mines to be honest. That or Dam bursts
an earthquake bursting a dam near the biggest mining farm in China okay I will whip that right up. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I even know 1 pool op that has blamed ASIC firmware versions for bad luck (not mentioning any names, but his nickname rhymes with guano ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) ) Touché. last 10 blocks add to 1002.3 which is 100.23 luck 053.5 060.5 003.9 105.2 052.2 227.7 245.4 057,4 065.5 131.0 1002.3 100.23 % = exactly normal So far asic boost is close to the same as no asic boost. but 10 or even 20 blocks is a same sample. numbers come from here http://ckpool.org/pool/blocks/169.3 016.4 054.4 033.7 = orphan 028.5 123.2 164.0 127.8 181.4 171.5 195.6 1265.8 or 126.58% this is poor luck and was compounded with the orphan 21 blocks since asic boost 1 orphan we will see what the next 10 blocks bring for us. under 100 or over

bunch of lies here.
in 2012 i mined with 22 hd7970's and my hash rate was 0.0007619 of the btc network.
to mine 0.0007619 of the btc network now you need 2054 s9's
so my 22 gpus burned only 11000watts to mine that much
2054 s9's burn over 2,875,690 watts to mine the same percent of the network
asic don't save power if the coin is successful as people just will use a shit ton of them

Typhoons don't affect inland very far at all.. And property anywhere near coastline in China is the most expensive as is electricity....Most heavily developed... Most mines will be located FAR from the costs near cheaper power cheaper land.
I lived near the coast in China...And in Taiwan...Typhoons are so common everyone prepares accordingly...HIGHLY doubtful any local would put his mine op at risk. Temp power loss will be often...but they know to protect from flooding.
Yeah I spent time in the Philippines and they build for typhoons my brother lived in Taiwan for years and they build for typhoons and this storm seems to be a 4 not a 5. It is why I placed it in speculation. Still it is action and maybe a few farms get damaged. When hurricane Sandy hit USA in 2012 hash rate dropped. I did okay as I had power and internet. heck my 22 gpus doing 16gh were 16000/21000000 = 0.0007619 of the network 37,743,432,060 GH/s x 0.0007619 = 28,756,900 would be what I need to be at that percent. So I need 2054 s9's to be the equal of 22 hd7970's times changed.

Do you think that the last days hashrate drops is because sichuan?
I read many sites and none of these have some proofs, some say that is because the flood some says that the flood was 2 days after the hash drops.
No I think summer heat caused issues and mnay turned off gear or lowered speeds. MY T1's have multiple speeds we had a 7 day Heatwave in New Jersey I had to set all of then to lowest speed about 14 th vs 16.5 th even then 1 unit would only run 2 boards So I dropped from 82.5th to 66.1th I think T1 and avalon 841 owners dropped hash rates due to heat more then anything else. The s9 and s9I are a little better in heat.

KJS sent that to me for a one month test run and demo it was a very nice piece of gear. He fully trusted me with the gear and when demo was done along with the thread I shipped it back to him on my dime. but kept a month of mining profits.
It is a bit too much to ask him for the 60k rig to do the same thing.
but I know that ethos software and KJS and ohgoditsagirl and gpuhoarder all have said they have had working relationships and they do not speak badly of each other.
I know KJS sent me a 6k machine to test run and trusted me and I was good to him and did what I was supposed to do.
So I feel this gear is real and I am mostly bitching that they missed deadlines and I do not know what to do with my coin/cash/gear ratios mostly due to this delay.
If I am 25k in cash 10k in coin and 20k in gear do I just wait and wait and wait. or do I sell more gear or do I want to change my mobos buy more ryzen 2700x and x470 boards.
At the moment I was hoping to just keep my 1080ti's and use acorn2 for a boost I did not want to move into fpga's
Thanks philipma1957. I will be able to send you a BLACKBOX system for review, but without GPU's or FGPA's installed. The BCU1525 FGPA's have not shipped yet so its impossible to ship a fully loaded one even if we could. having it with 1 or 2 bcu1525 and an acorn2 would be a good way to show what it can do. or having it with an acorn2 and some of my 1080ti's would also by a good way to demo it lastly is a mixed system possible say 1 or 2 BCU1525 FGPA's an acorn2 and a few 1080ti'sthis last one would appeal to a lot of miners like myself with some gpus on hand and boosting the setup with an acorn2 and a fpga or 2. For many your 16 fpga + acorn2 = too much $$$ but a combination of 1080ti + acorn2 + BCU1525 FGPA is possible and attractive

Businesses that assure consumer security also stand to make A LOT OF MONEY. Of course, Acorn, Mineority, etc could include aspects of secure payment options such as PayPal to capitalize as Dwarf Miner did and then did not as an obvious bait/switch. But I'm not just talking about secure payment options.
They already tried. It was actually GPUHoarder in the interview but otherwise I completely agree with you. Seth Estrada's interview style and 85% waste of time on nothing drives me insane. It was such a waste of GPUHoarder's time! Also, it is time to show some results. We have to plan what to do! I am going back and force between FPGA, Acorns and just getting a couple of more ASIC miners and forgetting GPU mining for good. Decision time for me is the next couple of days. Instead of all those discussions and interviews, we should get some real information!
I don't understand why you people can't wait. You'd rather that they'd just make up numbers and tell you what you want to hear, instead of getting everything squared away, and presenting you with accurate numbers/benchmarks. I actually appreciate a company that doesn't rush out data/info without verifying the accuracy. Nobody has to accommodate your schedule. Nobody has paid any money for these accelerator's. Having no patience is the reason there is so many scams on this forum. but he did rush to start the thread and has missed his dates. I never said anything negative about him everything was true. he said mid june for preorder >>>>>>>>>>> missed this date he said late june for shipping >>>>>>>>>>>> missed this date he mentioned showing proof with a video >>>> backed off this statement he has done none of the above. let us pretend he is fully 100% honest and will deliver every day of delay HERE means we get closer to gear like this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4553947.msg41248146#msg41248146So I was looking forward to this working right now as I type instead it has been hype. Phil, nice videos on the Ethereal capital Blackbox early model. Since they supplied you with a testing ring you seem to trust them. Now, I just checked their latest 16x FPGA unit and they will include Acorn 215+ in their August batch. https://blackbox.cat/collections/frontpage/products/blackbox-x16-bcu1525-fpga-system-with-16x-xilinx-bcu1525-fgpas-august-batchIs Acorn still hype or Ethereal capital is riding the hype? Or they know more than you do? I'm keeping an eye on this project, it seems interesting. Heya,
Same conclusion I came to when I saw the first announcement of GMO;s 7nm Miners. Whoever designed this board, really did a piss poor job in regulating power consumption.
But, in all honesty it could be coming down to the limitation of the first generation of 7nm chips just not being up to spec. (Yes 7nm is still in first generation stages, these could also be just out of proof of concept stage)
Bitmain will most likely make a better machine since they wont be using Samsung, and will be sticking with TSMC who generally makes much better semiconductor technology. You wont see better systems until last quarter of 2018 to first quarter of 2019 as most 7nm fabs are only being completed around this time right now.
who ever designed these did a huge fail. but the boss of the company most likely does not give a shit and has his own agenda .

If you bought the S9 in the first batch, you can still make some profits now.
Batch1 S9 14TH/s price was about 4 BTC. Where do you see profit ? If you paid cash to buy the btc the cost was about 2500 usd I made lots of usd on my batch 1 gear. I don't buy coin other then to buy gear. and if you purchased the coin and held it unit last december 2017 it was 80k vs 2.5 k my profit was less then that but still profit.
