I remember Lyra2 being top dog in '15....
I'm gonna consider switching to it myself.....
I have been lazy so I have been doing smos to zec to nicehash. Almost no work just let it run. I will need to do more work with the cards now. yeah with everything being so unstable recently, every test I have done has been seemingly less profitable than sitting on xevan till recently..... where I need to do more tests again... but I think ill switch over a few people I service tonight most likely.... I do remember lyra2 being very consistent, but when mona and very's diffs went crazy in early '16, I stepped away into skien. I have been super lazy with my own gear; its all working on XMR (almost to that 1 XMR payout on nanopool finally) just so I can add it to my portfolio. I dont care about profitability; Ill only sell it in the future if it goes 2-4X what its worth now.... which is realistic. Till then, Ill sit on it. Working all day for the past few months has been taking its toll on me; was sick all of last week. Hearing all of the issues with nvidia and shortages, but overages.... its all BS if you ask me. There is still a gpu shortage while in the same paragraph, they will say that nvidia has an overstock of GPU's? such insanity. I know its probably a problem based in symantics, but c'mon... don't talk out of both sides of your mouth Nvidia; we get enough of that in politics. my take is nvidia built a lot of 102's 104's 106's which are worthless or next to worthless unless they are mining. I believe they fucked up'd up by making them

Do you think it is more profitable to mine ETH with 1080Ti than mining ZEC with the faster memory boost?
Yes for the past month or two, 1080ti are often far better off on lyra's / ETH than any equihash. I have yet to setup 144 5 or 192 7 equi but lyra has been winning over standard equihash Phil, what hashrate do you have with 6x 1080ti on lyra2rev2? I have 304Mh/s at 160W / card. Lyra2z has about 19 hashrate which wins over lyra2rev2 at payrate.. did you tried lyra2z? not yet been busy getting ready to do some bathroom reno and fix a leaky foundation wall. I am lucky I did the lyra2rev2 I also get about 50 a card or 300 for 6 cards. I need to try the other lyra I need to try the other equihash algos. I did not even try the eth- enlargement pill from ogoditisagirl. with summer coming I slow my mining down a lot. my house is doing about 2200 watts the solar array does about 20000 watts my friends office is at 1200 watts it is a far cry from December.

Very small outfit here, newbie Mining with an Antminer V9 running at 3T/hs because I'm on 110v (891w) I run this between 7pm and 7am because the electricity rate is less than half (6.5 cents) Between 7am and 7pm I run my Gekkoscience gear at 88G/hs The purpose being to maintain but not add to the value of previous work done I have noticed herp starts running down. Is there a minimum hash rate in order to maintain my standing until the Antminer is turned back on at 7pm? Thanks in advance ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) 12 hours at 3th + 12 hours at 88gh = a 24 average of 1.544th. that is about 48 cents a day or about 0.00007646 a day so you will drop when you are on the usb sticks. you would average 1.50 if you just mine the v9 for 12 hours. if I were you I would mine the v9 for 12 hours here and mine the usb sticks on solo ck pool. not here.

They sell a similar unit with 8x P106 for $5.8K USD. Link: https://shop.comino.com/en/I guess over $10K for the 16x Rx580s box? It's a beautiful piece of engineering, but I doubt it will be priced right. it is nice gear and would have been nice to get in early fall 2017. Now not so nice.

ComputerGenie, in your script (thanks) you have 'Estimated time for new miner to hit full 5N: 28 days, 4 hours, 5 min, 31 sec'. What is the definition of new miner in regard to the pool? Is it a 'new user' or a 'new worker'? For example I am a User for 5 months using 5 machines. If I were to add a 6th miner/worker is this new miner at 5N or does it ramp up from 0N-5N based on the current pool hash rate? Thanks!
that is like 100 + 100 + 100 + 100 + 100 = 500 you are now 100 + 100 + 100 + 100 + 100 + 0 = 500 first case divide by 5 = 100% of you 5n second case divide by 6 = 83.33% of your 5n so you will fill in from 83.33% to 100% in about 25-26 days although that is subject to change. If pools hash rate goes up a lot . http://ckpool.org/pool/says we are at 47.4P that is about 1 block in 5 days or 5 blocks in 25 days

Yeah, a nice bull run for BTC (and it dragging all the altcoins with it) would be very good timing right now. I think we're due for one, but who knows how soon it will be...
Well I always slow my in-house mining every summer.. Zec will be dead to gpus So I am happy Mona has some life. Rvn may not be any good maybe it is . I am not mining it any more. Bis was pretty good but I have a few hundred of them price dropped so I stopped the, and I am hodling them. I need to do a 144 5 algo just to have it. RVN is working towards a fund to pay some high price lawyer outfit to write up paperwork declaring that they are not a security. Multiple big exchanges told them they needed to do that in order to be listed.... so if that scuttlebutt is true, they will hopefully land on Bittrex (or similar) sometime later this year. If that happens I expect a pretty big jump in price and higher volumes.... we shall see.... we're hanging on to a little bit of it just to see what happens. I have 5200 of them all profit. So I can hold them. Would be nice if they shoot up to 1 dollar. I would sell 2700 of them. So far the death of zec has not quite happened for all of my 1080ti's I left one pair to compare to Mona https://www.nicehash.com/miner/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3

at the moment MONA using Lyra2REv2 is a bit better then ZEC https://www.nicehash.com/miner/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3Lyra2REv2 182.54 MH/s 0.00 MH/s (0.00%) 0.0009 Btc 4x 1080ti's and 0.000225 BTC a 1080ti Equihash 1109.90 Sol/s 0.00 Sol/s (0.00%) 0.0004 Btx 2x 1080ti's so 0.000200 BTC a 1080ti this fluxes but I am getting 0.0013 to 0.0015 btc a day using 6x 1080ti's burning 1200 watts an s-9 earns 0.0006 btc a day using 1400 watts We are in need of a btc price rally big time. So my 3 two card rigs that earn me 0.0014 btc a day cost me about 6k but they are paid off. 1200 watts in the summer in NJ = 29 k-watts a day at about 18 cents or 5.22 power so 8.54 earned - 5.22 = 3.32 net . I should shut the l3+'s down completely I HAVE ALL BUT 2 TURNED OFF. STILL LYra2REv2 does turn profit and I think the hashrate has been okay. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monacoin/

Someone has turned a shit load of them on. Zcash difficulty doesn't change very quick. I seen soo many blocks go in the last few hours. Block time meant to be 150sec I think and it was af 10sec and diff barely moved and they are happy fo have asics on thier network
fuck zcash. They were supposed to be decentralized and "privacy" transactions. They have never gotten the z address transactions to work and now they are an ASIC coin so they are neither decentralized or private. What is the point of zcash now? Agreed, I'm focusing on BTCZ a equihash coin that switched parameters to 144,5. So the Z9 can't play their coin. The whitepaper states they will keep changing parameters to maintain asic resistance. I think snowgem and BTG are following in the same path. If they change parameters just "right before" asic's next version shipment, hopefully they will wear them out. Plus, equihash allows some modifications to the algo to provide differentiation between the various coins to further frustrate the asic manufacturers. That's why EWBF requires you to specify which coin via -pers command switch. GPU's can handle it no problem. Asics... not so much. Yeah, BTCZ just made a successful switch last week/weekend. BTG is scheduled to switch around July 1'st; it's running ok on their testnet for a few days now. BTCZ is pretty small, but BTG is a large cap coin that should make a bit of a difference by switching. I heard that Snowgem was looking into a fork but I don't know what point they are at personally. Will BTG also be 144,5? okay here goes what still works and makes some coin with 1080ti I have stopped standard ZEC but it makes about 0.00040 btc for 1 pair of 1080tis daily on nicehash/using smos about 1.22 usd a day per card I am currently mining Mona i use smos and point to nicehash it earns about 0.00065 btc for a 2 card 1080ti rig about 1.90 usd a day per card I just stopped mining BIS this was about 12 Bis every 2 days for 3 1080ti or 2 bis a day per 1080ti that is about 2.10 usd a day per card I stopped RVN a while back I turned a 5200 RVN coin profit but coin has tanked so that is a long hodl I need to do algo 144.5 ZEC = smos-nicehash MONA = smos-nicehash BIS = egg pool to my own wallet RVN = smos https://rvn.suprnova.cc/ to my own wallet So I would like anyone to mention what they have on algo 144.5 EBWF_ Has a new miner for it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4466962.0and i think smos has yet to put it in. I also think nicehash has not done anything yet. right now my interest is on MONA as it has a lot of hash power and I think is not under full attack from pga's nicehash alone has over 14th hash power which is over 250000 1080ti's https://www.nicehash.com/marketplace/lyra2rev2

Nice work.
Giving you some merit.
I have 13x 1080tis left
And I have 2 1050tis
I will shift some to this newer algo
Quick question
What is a 1080ti earning with this algo

Not what I need.
8tb externals I have.
I wanted 5 year warranty drives for internal use. Yeah I'm sure they don't have that long of a warranty, however if you already have external drives of your own, you could always just take off the enclosure and use them as internal drives. I have a backup system that involves 2 nas enclosures and 4 external drives.. Nas a is copied to external drive a Nas a is copied to nas b Nas b is copied to external drive b at this point in time Nas a has all new parts External a is new External b is new but the enterprise drives in NAS b are 6 years old it is time to replace them

I have two unused matching Seagate 8TB model STEB8000100 with cables which I could send you shipped for 300$. I know this might not meet the quality of drive that you are looking for, but let me know if you are interested.

I will try a new meal this evening. Whatever you guys are planting or cooking now, try something else... ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Well I did plant some pot plants, so maybe that will help? Got to love Oregon. Plant some hazelnuts, we need more of them out here. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) We have a pretty good garden going, no hazelnuts though. Not sure if we have room for more trees in yard. Pretty small lot since we're int he city. I might go plug in the lucky s7 tonight if we're still blockless once 'Im home. where is the block party? 200% + damn we are so cold I should make some home made vanilla ice cream to warm us up

I think the deception is that Bitman's engineers knew that b3 is weak. If their price was 1070, I would not worry. This is their main deception, that is, he knew that they are creating a weak device. Also on the site there is no information about which chips they made. If it is confirmed that it is 28 nm, then this is an additional reason for the charge of deception.
If I leave the chip size out and sell it there is zero deception. If I say chip is 16 and it is 28 I lied. If they never spec a chip size it is perfectly legal. My question is why does this asic suck

Is there any system to stay away from?
First off laws rules and incentives are different every place on earth. Some states in the US are great and have lots of incentives other states are not good. So you need to check where you live for incentives and rules for solar power.

Wow Zcash has 8.7ghs network hashrate right now. Zcash asics = new D3
Yeah it looks like moving the 1080tis off zec will need to happen. It remains to be seen how many of these will be sold. My guess is tons of them. And most likely these cost the builder well under 2000 to build.
