1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 10, 2014, 08:51:48 AM
It's time to decide who is gonna be our bank. I've already received almost 4.5M coins and I'm not intend to hold over 10M.

I guess TwinWinNerD would be the best choice since he's already the Qora treasurer.

Two questions:
1. Are there any objections?
2. TwinWinNerD, if you're agree to be the guy what's your conditions?

I'll be keeping enough coins for everyday trading and would be asking you to send coins if someone withdraws a lot.

If the time needed on this stays resonable I can make this sure!

Conditions: Hmm, a small cut of the fee maybe. 0.1% of the amount you put into coldstorage with me. Sounds reasonable? I don't know what you will charge, so.

You know how often I am online, so response time should stay well below 24 hours, but I can't guarantee that obviously, you can add me in facebook for instant messages Wink

Yeah guys, bash the guy that wants to help you.

We don't have a working exchange and all you do is tell dzarmush that you don't want a way to buy/sell qora?

This is pretty sad actually..

1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 09, 2014, 03:11:48 PM
Yo I lost 5m Qora at SharexCoin, can someone point me in a direction that has some hope of regaining my Qora?

There is not much hope TBH.

The trails to the shareXcoin owner are not really yielding anything.

Best hope is to buy new coins Sad

1989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: June 09, 2014, 03:00:44 PM

Just a few hints. You should use a seperate address for qora deposits. This is because people should always be able to check how many qora you hold, and how many QORAtokens are NOT in the asset issuer account. This is needed to show that you don't run on fractional reserve or got hacked.

Great job this week guys.  Your coins worked hard for us and somehow managed to retain over 5% of the amount wagered!

Quote

Jun  9 2014     2.06%   142.75%

Can you please clarify this? You said there was a 5% retention (ie. house edge) but the profit was only 2.06%?
Obv 5℅ of what was wagered

Or not. 5% of what was wagered would be a 5% effective house edge (aka "profit"). Let's put it into a mathematical formula you can utilize:

5.00% profit = 2.06% profit, false

Here's a link to help you verify that (though this is basic mathematics):

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=5%25+%3D+2.06%25

If the Investment pool is 100BTC and only 10BTC was wager that week. 5% of 10 BTC is .2BTC profit for the Investors. .2BTC is .2% of 100BTC, so the profit that week is .2%, not 5%. The effective house edge is 5% of all wagered coins. That doesn't tell you how many coins are wagered. Would you expect to make 5% profit if no one even used the site all week?

I suggest you actually read my post before responding.

Dooglus said that the site retained over 5% of the bets wagered for the week. This means that if there were 100 BTC wagered, the site got at least 5 BTC in profit.

He then stated that the profit for the week was only 2.06% profit for the week. In other words, if there were 100 BTC wagered, 2.06 would have been taken in profit.

Again, how can 5% (5 BTC) possibly be equal to 2.06% (2.06 BTC) when we're talking about the same thing (profit) over the same time period (a week) when both are using the same variable (wagered amount)? How much is in the investment pool is irrelevant to any of this discussion.

I suggest you read what YOU write before posting...

5% = the % of the amount wagered
2% = the % of the BANKROLL

fail...

Trust some you barely known is much worse than trust a famous exchange.
That's why using NXT AE is a bad idea.
The one who Provide the gateway may run away with your money.

a) Nobody makes you use the NXT AE.
b) None of us have seen a famous exchange run away with the money, that just never happens  Grin
Yes,None have seen a famous exchange run away.
But the gateway provider of NXT AE may run away.

He was sarcastic, plenty famous exchanges ran away...

No problem at all. I have kind of the same policy. I use different VMs to execute wallets.

Is the rich list still being updated?  Maybe I could check the balance that way.

Nah, doesn't look like it. Don't really know how to check other than using the client. hmm.

Would the client allow you to check my balance?  If you would be so kind of course.

actually I have no Idea how to do that.

There is no search feature and when you import your key that is the address you see stats for...

If you are running the wallet software, you can go to http://0.0.0.0:8080/wallet?address=[YOUR ADDRESS HERE] in your browser.

doesn't seem to work at Win7 FF 29.0.1
