The year isn't even half over... GS just tagged into the ring..

YOU NEED TO WATCH FOR THE TAG IN BROSIVE!!

Hahaha, I know, just saying from January to April, we've been in down territory.

Still waiting for that pop to happen.  Lots of good news, just the price hasn't reflected it yet.

1982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remove Satoshi as Founding Member, Says Bitcoin Foundation Director on: April 30, 2015, 02:39:39 PM
As part of a newly published roadmap for the Bitcoin Foundation, executive director Bruce Fenton has suggested removing bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto as a founding member.

Though he called for the removal of all founding members from the organisation, Fenton singled out Nakamoto's inclusion as "not accurate", arguing that he or she was never involved in the group's creation.

Not cool dude not cool at all...

1983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hell should we care about women in bitcoin space? on: April 30, 2015, 02:36:08 PM
If you are not smart enough to understand that half the world is female and they tend to spend the most in kinda 3/4 human households you either have no clue how the world became so full with the human kind or you probably think only man got the planet this far.

But you can be happy, woman will not invade the crytpo coin world Soon (tm)
They want nothing todo with this so easy (NOT) and usefull boy toy
(unless the boy tells her she get 10.000 bucks a piece for them and then she yells sell that crap now so i can buy new shoes, dress, lingerie)

People love to just ignore the fact that many women are into Bitcoin already....There were pictures in this very thread too. lol

People ignoring the visual and hard evidence that show many women are already involved in Bitcoin are stuck in the "Status Quo" mode.  Some people like to see what they see and hear what they hear only.

I don't ignore that. I suppose you are "ignant," trying to argue against me by putting words into my mouth.

I was responding to bronan, who said there were no women in bitcoin, when there is proof against that here, in this thread. I wasn't discussing whether or not there should be more or if they should stick to the status quo or not.

I was supporting your post, dude, not calling you ingnant.

I'm the one that put the images of the many successful and accomplished women in the Bitcoin space.
1984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bold statement: Next target is low ~$700s (Awaiting scream of laughter) on: April 30, 2015, 02:34:16 PM
Before we start dreaming of $700, $7000, Seventeen million, let's focus on cracking $300 and staying above $300.

Seems like a tough barrier to crack this whole year so far... Cry

Just keep expectations and price targets more in line.

This is pretty much the whole year 2015 in a nutshell:

1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Documentary on Bitcoin - Summary Thread on: April 30, 2015, 01:17:42 PM
Thanks for maintaining this Documentary thread hlynur!   Grin

This is a great resource to start for any newcomers trying to grasp the ins and outs, the good and bad, of how Bitcoin works and where we might be headed.

Exactly, need a transaction ID of some sorts, or this is just the OP trying to troll the shit out of us.

1989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the hell should we care about women in bitcoin space? on: April 30, 2015, 12:46:42 PM
Hmm...seems there is a good amount of women in the Bitcoin space.

Perianne Boring:

Connie Gallippi:

Elizabeth Ploshay:

Blythe Masters, formerly of JPM Morgan:

Elizabeth Rossiello:

Just to name a few....

1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should the government do to make women start using Bitcoin? on: April 30, 2015, 12:31:04 PM
Give 'em the gas chamber if they don't start using Bitcoin!!!   Angry

Death by flatulence.
1991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remove Satoshi as Founding Member, Says Bitcoin Foundation Director on: April 30, 2015, 12:27:45 PM
I support Bruce's decision whole heartedly.

Good to exclude and distance Satoshi from the disorganized, disgusting, bankrupt cesspool known as the Bitcoin Foundation.

Good on Gavin and Bitcoin Core Devs to leave that roach motel when they did.

1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: April 30, 2015, 12:22:20 PM
If my wife at the time got a silver engagement ring, I'd probably still be single.

LOL, don't mourn for me, I'm not dead....yet.   Roll Eyes

Marriage has been good to me.  Just spawned my first baby girl this year, and plan to entrust her with my Bitcoin savings.   Smiley

1994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Classic Bitcoin Polls - What is your all time favorite Bitcoin wallet? on: April 29, 2015, 05:47:13 PM
When it comes down to it, nothing beats the good old fashioned paper wallet!

Yes. I voted for the "can't believe you forgot to put it" choice... because my favorite wallets are my paper wallets.

Good point.  Nothing beats a good paper wallet if laminated and secured in a safety deposit box or fire proof safe.

Lol, that looks pretty good, but why would you have so many different wallets with 1 BTC each? wouldn't it be way easier to have it all on the same wallet, and print copies of this same wallet?

Perhaps for book keeping purposes.  You spend 1 BTC from 1 paper wallet, you can shred it immediately after.

Whatever you're left with is what you have.

This train hasn't even left the station if you think about it. ...

Is this thing even safe?

Apologies, this is a safer train I'm assuming.

1996  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stay away from bitcoin ! on: April 29, 2015, 04:43:49 PM
This thread is bullish for sure!   Cool

Thanks OP for the push I needed.

Just becasue there are a lot of bulls on here, doesn't make any of them right.  BTC seems to have very weak support, even at this level.  I for sure am holding off until $150 or even double digits hit.

The price is weak comparatively to the all time high in 2013, but if you're comparing to the beginnings when it was worth less than pennies, it's reasonably strong.

This train hasn't even left the station if you think about it.  We got a long journey ahead.

1997  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: April 29, 2015, 02:53:50 PM
I bet the Winklewii won't sell even a single bitcoin at $1000.

According to a news article posted in the Press section here, they have already offloaded most of their coins. I was very disappointed when I heard the news. They bought their coins in 2012, when the exchange rate was like $5 per coin. They should have shown a bit more patience. But I can't blame them either. A lot of people are giving up... And I am about to offload some 45% of my coins very soon.  Angry

Hmm, I don't see that about the Winklevii selling any coin anywhere especially the Press section:

I did a quick Google News search as well and came up empty.  I think you misread an article or are mistaken.
1998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: April 29, 2015, 02:50:25 PM
Hasn't bitcoin already gone mainstream?

No.... Nobody (like one the street people) knows what the fuck bitcoin is... yet.

Agreed. Mainstream is television. Mainstream is google. Bitcoin is not mainstream.

Mainstream is Nana, Meema, or Grandma using Bitcoin.

When Bitcoin is so easy your Grandma can use it, is when it's truly Mainstream.

2000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This D.C. bitcoin company raised $2.3 million to ... mine more bitcoins on: April 29, 2015, 02:41:31 PM
Sounds like a HYIP type operation with early investors banking on Bitcoin blowing up.

Sorta like a "Legit" Ponzi scheme, if there is such a thing.  If Bitcoin goes to zero, these guys are going tits up for sure.
