there is a way to change back the p state from 0 to 2 without using nvidia inspector? with command prompt for example?
Inspector works from command line as well so you can cook up a bat that runs your preferred settings on boot. I haven't tried it though. For my one rig it would have to do this... cd C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI nvidia-smi -ac 3505,1455 -i 0,1,2,4 It would be nice to have that work on boot-up or built into the bat or conf file. Anything that's in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup will run at each boot so you can just put the .bat there. (Win7 but I'd guess it's the same for 8/10) Yes it is ... but all oc'ing apps would have to be off to set property ..... Thx

ok, i've found how to reset to p2 state without rebooting your computer and without using inspector, just this nvidia-smi -rac
very useful, was a pain in the ass to reset each time i need to use other algo, which otherwise would result in a drivers crash with p0 state, like quark...probably due to the high overclock...
quark is the one with the most problems and then neoscrypt and lyra2v2 ... but quark is the worst.. even with no oc'ing. There was a command in cuda mining - C 0 - C 1 -C 2 but there not in ccminer and I don't know if that would help in the oc'ing or not.

there is a way to change back the p state from 0 to 2 without using nvidia inspector? with command prompt for example?
I found --pstate=0 to set clocks to the p0 state.....but I haven't tried it yet. If there is that --pstate=0 then maybe there is --pstate=2 which is what my 980ti and 970gtx are running at right now. Remember I found this on the readme docs and I haven't tried it yet. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) EDIT:Also --keep-clocks prevents clocks from resetting. use ths command nvidia-smi -rac I'm familiar with nvidia-smi ........ but -rac what is that? What does it do? Thx reset the application clock, it's the opposite of nvidia-smi -ac, which is used to force the p-state to 0 Yes thanks...works great.... one thing is it sets all clocks on all cards even the 750ti along with the 970 gtx.

4 PHYSICAL CORES--
It is an older generation i7 2600 CPU, and will run 8 threads. It can run 16 threads CPU mining if its is not concurrently mining on GPU. I am able to run 6 threads on the CPU concurrently with GPU mining, and be mining on two different algos. The computer is slow at this point, but I can use notepad or look at a webpage. The CPU mining hash rates are a result from TPruvot's CPU miner-multi.
Answering sp_ , it is the only Windows computer that I have. There is something wrong with the NeoScrypt benchmark, my 960 gets about 390kH/s rather than 405kH/s that I get with Private Miner #5. This benchmark is offf by a factor of ~10X.
Right now I am mining ETH with my 960, a very stable algo. The computer is responsive. I am not using the NiceHash miner at the moment. --scryptr
Thx I probably won't be able to use it on my 2 core. I just got back my 970 gtx g1 and the rig just crashes on sp5 pr.... and the stock clocks go real high on the 2nd card.. i don't get it so i have to set them to the 980ti's and the other 970 gtx g1. So maybe for that high hashing rig I should get a 4 core. Right now i'm going to go back to an older build, but not sure if that would work. I'm looking now to see the cheapest 4 core cpu to get for the asrock.

BENCHMARK TESTING sp_ PRIVATE #6 -- I recieved my copy of sp_ Private Miner #6 today, and benchmarked it using NiceHash Miner v1.4.0.1. NiceHash Miner v1.4.0.1 comes standard with sp_ 's v1.79 release of CCminer. This public version was used as a comparison. Here are the results: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs32.postimg.org%2Ffc9f98c91%2Fbench_sp179_01.png&t=663&c=mKg6XNc7g2sX1A) Benchmark results for sp_ v1.79 (public). ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs32.postimg.org%2F6i2y4y1vp%2Fbench_spprv6_01.png&t=663&c=i6DTBRZXwSeLWA) Benchmark results for sp_ Private Miner #6. Results were obtained using an EVGA 2GB GTX 960 SC card, with clocks +80 core/+ 240 memory. System is Win 7 x64. --scryptr How many cores on you cpu scryptr ?

There is however a new sgminer fork with compiled Quark and Qubit kernels that was sent to us that brings up the hashrate significantly on Pitcairn and Tahiti AMD GPUs. We have tested this particular sgminer on a Radeon R9 280X and we are getting about 11.22 MHS on Quark with a non overclocked GPU and about 12.3 MHS on Qubit and you can get higher with OC and increase in the Intensity. Quark is apparently quite profitable at the moment on NiceHash and WestHash due to the interest in SharkCoin or so it seems, so if you have some idle AMD GPUs that you are wondering where to point them there. Do note that the sgminer is not compiled by us and it comes with the standard OpenCL kernel files, so you need to use the binaries for the higher performance. Since we have not compiled this sgminer from source and it was sent to us already compiled we would recommend to be cautions and not run it on systems with wallets installed, just in case! ....nvidia rekt ..... http://cryptomining-blog.com/4819-new-sgminer-with-optimized-quark-and-qubit-kernels/At nicehash about 1/2 year ago SHARK coin was paying about .9000 btc per gh. You can imagine the payout. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

1. What is your commandline parameters. 2. What is your operation system. 3. How much memory do you have. 4. Wich cards are connected
My miner software sp-mod #5 is working on your 4core rig. You need to troubleshoot on your own why it doesn't work on the 2 core rig.
Try --cpu-affinity 0 to enable the first core only. Try --cpu-priority 0 to give the minerless cpu and the system more resources. Try -C (cpu-mining) to avoid blocking sync call.
Are you overclocking your cards? remove the oc. Do you use powered risers? Is your PSU big enough? Do you have a computer virus on your pc?
Just did a test run with that and cpu usage went down great... but quark is a real problem. For some reason quark with crash after 3 minutes of hashing any where and any way All other algo's are ok. EDIT: I forgot to try the -C The -C brought the cpu up to 100% but finally its stable. Ya EDIT: Even lyra2v2 and neoscrypt smoothed out. Wow finally... Ya

for gods sake, remove overclock and verify the problem persists :/ 1345 is way above normal clock for 750Ti
No it is not.. I have a 750ti that at stock clocks is 1345 core. You can oc any gigabyte 750ti to 1345 and it stays stable.. been doing it for 2 years and that is nvidias 750ti sweet spot.. but don't go over that. And without any oc'ing on my 2 core rig it sp5 pr still crashes. It is in the build so. Trying the cpu commands.

If you compare spmod #5 with 1.7.6 what hashrates are you getting?
Sp just to see... where is 1.7.6 plz I don't see it on github. 750ti oc 1345 core 7 mh quark

Sp5 is working perfectly but you are not smart enough to understand how to use it.
EVERY ONE I KNOW HAS THE SAME PROBLEM YOU EVEN SAID IT WAS BROKEN DONT GO AROUND THE PROBLEM FIX THE DAMN THING !!! What even is your problem? You're using a weird version of windows server and complaining about it not working properly on it? Did you try running it in W7 or W8 compatibility mode? Jesus... STFU dude. I had W10 and I switched to W8 to get on the right miners. 'Everyone is having the same problem', no one else is having your issues. Either way, Dcr isn't even worth mining right now compared to Eth... You're making about a $1 less per 970. I have no idea why you're so bent out of shape. Ben its sp5 private I don't do DECRED or ETHER. Thats an all algo build like for nicehash.

That is the problem ...I already told you all of them. And you still wont fix it .. by your own words " sp5 private is having issues " Ok one last thing to try then.. Try --cpu-affinity 0 to enable the first core only. Try --cpu-priority 0 to give the minerless cpu and the system more resources. That may solve the problem will try... ok ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
