no maximum limit? looks like a scam...
what will you do when someone triples 1 million btc?  Roll Eyes
you need to have a maximum to make sure you can payout everyone

BetBTC is an Exchange, not a Bookmaker.

If someone earns 1 million BTC, another one lost 1 million BTC.

Whats your prediction what profit will winner generate?

Hi. I'm not sure if I understood your question, but if you are asking about the fees we charge:

BetBTC charges 4% on winner's bets (calculated on the global on market). If your activity on a market results in loss we won't charge anything on your account (even if the loss was composed by one or more winner bets)

Hope it clarifies your question.

...
3. That is still in process of study as we are thinking about start with a lower min. bet however, we are still seeing the effect of this, we promise we will proceed in the best way.

It's very important, yet. For example, after backing a selection @3 with min. stake (0.01). I want to balance my profit to 50/50 with a lay @2.50. I have to bet 0,012. So, with your actual stake depth, i can't.

It's understandable that you (and many other users that already requested that) think it would be better to decrease the minimum bet to 0.001BTC.
But if i understand it correctly, now you are asking a different thing that is to system allow lower bets than minimum bet.

It won't always be possible to perfectly balance profits /losses because it would require system to accept bets lower than minimum bet. On those cases it's true that you can't have a perfectly balanced "green book" but you could balance bets with a very short spread. With the new sensitivity of 0.001 it shouldn't really be a problem, do it?

Thanks for the feedback

- Your zendesk account is not valid (so 'Contact-us' don't work)
- When refresh betslip, tab returns to "single" instead of previous active tab  (i.e Open bets).
- Depth for  stake field is really not enough ( 0.00 ).  0.000 would be better.
- Your liability calculation seems not to be correct for markets ( Back of 0.28 BTC @ 2.10 matched on a selection, try to lay with same amount on lower odd @ 1.90, although the amount of my account is not sufficient: impossible to push order. Normally, it should have been possible)
- 'Cancel all bets' button is too close of bets list.
- No API available?

Hello,
First of all thanks for you feedback, our idea from BETA stage is to take advantage of users' feedback and implement the changes we consider that should be done.

In response to your comments,
1. Zendesk account is working in our end, so please try it again. edit: ok apparently we had some problems with zendesk! should be all ok from now on. our apologizes
2. Thanks for the info, we will fix it as soon as possible.
3. That is still in process of study as we are thinking about start with a lower min. bet however, we are still seeing the effect of this, we promise we will proceed in the best way.
4. We tried to replicate your situation here, however, we were able to get it like it was supposed to be and as you referred, being possible to execute. Please send us, via Support, all the information you can get, in order to we check up what happened.
5. Thanks, we are going to see what can be done here.
6. As previously referred, we are in BETA stage, for any others features can be released in the future, it is in our plans, of course, to release an API, in order to provide much more liquidity to market.

Once again, thanks for yours comments.

the 1st guy in the contest has 113 % win percentage ?

how is that even possible? even if i predict 10 out of 10 games correctly
I just would have a 100 % win percentage.

pls look into this!
Hello,
It's indeed as tonyq explained to you, and we are sorry that this information is not in the website, however, we are going to update as soon as possible.

The formula to calculate the Percentage is taking into account the initial account balance of 5 BTC, and if a user doubles that amount in his account, his performance would be 100%, i.e
Example:

Initial Value = 5 BTC
Final Account balance = 10 BTC
Percentage % = (10-5)/5 = 1 <=> 100% (Final - Initial)/Initial

Final Account balance = 15 BTC
Percentage % = (15-5)/5 = 2 <=> 200% (Final - Initial)/Initial

.....

Regards

The exchange portion of this site looks a lot like betabit.co.in

Please fundament your post or stop spamming this thread with non-sense accusations.
That was already discussed here and we already proven via a+b that BetBTC is not related with any other site. If you want more info go a little back on this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=856175.msg9685493#msg9685493

And I've hit the top 6 in the trading competition.

  • Do you think it would be better to change the minimum bet to 0.001BTC, or the current 0.01BTC is fine? - Reply Below

0.001 for beggining

Thanks for the replies. We may want to revise that and at least decrease it for the first weeks / months of Live Stage.

Do you like the new banners at www.betbtc.co ? How is your trading campaign / beta experience going?

Ohh nice catch, we moved the competition one month ahead since our work on beta seems to be almost done.

1997  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC | The Dedicated Bitcoin Sports Betting Exchange | 1.8 BTC Contest Reward on: November 30, 2014, 05:58:44 PM
the pricepool winnings won´t be withdrawable anyways if you read the T&C of the contest...
just the winnings derived from the prizepool winnings!

good spot russian ptr,
kind of a joke then.

should be called  freebet (if you find liquidity) 1.8 BTC contest

For people that are capable of reading a 5 line text about rules, it's not a "great call" or "kind of a joke".

The prize information has always been available and explicit not only on our site (https://www.betbtc.co/tradingcup)

as also on the previous post where we announced it ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=856175.msg9646007#msg9646007)

We could give it directly via bitcoin transfer, but we feel that it's more fair and won't be any problem for users to cash the prize out after making some real bets with us at the same time they provide liquidity to BetBTC.

Cheers
1998  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC | The First Dedicated Bitcoin Sports Exchange | 1.8 BTC Contest Reward on: November 29, 2014, 11:39:07 AM
As a previous user of betabit.co.in, there really are some striking similarities between the sites as CoinTheCoin pointed out, as well as a few other subtle things.
It's nothing close to conclusive at the moment, but even disregarding this potential avenue, I would still highly suggest to be extremely cautious as befitting such a site and given the "rich" history of bitcoin gambling site scams.
It especially doesn't help when it all sounds so sleezy. "The First Dedicated Bitcoin Sports Exchange", definitely not. Trying to deflect all criticism with the claim that it's just a beta? Having a Support "Team" when you aren't going to get basically any liquidity in the near future?

We understand your concerns but besides guarantee you that we are here to give our best and that it was the reason we started this, unfortunately there's nothing more at the moment we can do but wait to prove that there is no association at all.

Some users confirmed they have already called users from the other site to come to this topic, so let's just wait for their verdict. What reliefs us is that we are pretty sure that some of those people would remember exactly or share videos / images that could proof that the similarities with BetBTC are mere casuals non fundamented suspicions, we will wait for them to know concrete system things like:

GLOBAL site design (not a few spare things here and there. we use bootstrap design like many other sites, sometimes it may seem very similar.)? Were events imported automatically or admin imported only? What sports they had? How much time did bets took to process and credit on account after event finished? Detailed feature list/pages? Did they had trading support to allow betting with profit (auto credit balance/reduce loss in case of counter bets exist)? How many / What types of Markets per Event they have? Average Odd Displacement? Referral support anything similar? Market suspensions on goals/yellowcards/redcards? 2nd Auth Security? Multi Currency / Time-zone preferences?

We take the chance to remember that our 1.8BTC prize pool contest is running.
The first place has currently a Winning Percentage of 67.92% (Balance 8.39616 BTC vs Initial 5.0). ---> www.betbtc.co/tradingcup

Have a wonderful weekend and good trades!
1999  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC | The First Dedicated Bitcoin Sports Exchange | 1.8 BTC Contest Reward on: November 29, 2014, 04:51:14 AM
I don't believe I have accused your site of anything just yet.  I am simply letting people know that there is a great similarity between your site and one that was opened up earlier in the year that ended up running away with the funds.  I am also very willing to remove all trust and messages if this does turn out to be legitimate and that there are zero connections between your site and the one that scammed.

I think it's quite hard to say that you see no resemblance whatsoever.  None of the sites you listed are even close to the colour schemes and design that both your site (one that was supposedly written from scratch) and betabit.co.in feature.

It's also amusing that you closed with the argument that it's not a scam because your site is first opened up in beta.  It just so happens that betabit.co.in also started up opening as a beta.

Furthermore you haven't addressed the fact that you guys use the same back and lay system and that you are both charging the same 4% fee.

I will be asking users that posted in the other thread and had actual experience with them to check out your site to see if they find any similarities as well.

Hopefully this is all just a big coincidence, and I profusely apologize if so, but I believe the safest measure is to warn people that there is a possibility of something foul.  I think potential customers at least deserve that.

We would really appreciate if you can call users that used the other site to confirm this misunderstand and clarify to all our users / potential users that there is absolutely no relationship between both sites.
We putted a lot of work and money on this project during the last year, and we don't want to be confused with a site like that just because we have similar minor things.
2000  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC | The First Dedicated Bitcoin Sports Exchange | 1.8 BTC Contest Reward on: November 29, 2014, 03:43:22 AM
Hello.

We understand your frustration as another site already scammed you, however it's not correct to start accusing with absolutely no valid proof or even reasonable argument a brand new site that is nothing related with that. We are not anyhow related/affiliated with the website referred, neither we were aware of the existence of that website.

Although we are aware that few users might think there are some similarities  between BetBTC and the website you referred,on our opinion there are no similarities at all, just a site with the same "idea", from the print screens you provided there is nothing special we could found that is even similar (site design).

We are very confident that our Support Team is and will always be able helping in everything needed, and our user's feedback will start talking by itself soon.

Our site was inspired on Betfair(http://imgur.com/P8k8i4E,eBdybWp,O2gGodQ#2). As it is will known, they are the market leaders. Many of our features were inspired on theirs. As we did, many other sports exchanges like BetDAQ(http://imgur.com/P8k8i4E,eBdybWp,O2gGodQ), SMarkets(http://imgur.com/P8k8i4E,eBdybWp,O2gGodQ#1), or apparently that BetaBIT was also a (failed) inspiration.
All these sites are on different magnitudes, and as you can see that doesn't mean they need t be that different and be operated by the same users, they are similar because they just run on the same  business.

Talking now about the market 1x2 market. Not only Betfair uses the notation you identify as a “similarity”, the 1 X 2 is a common notation  used in the global Sportsbook betting industry to represent the regular time winner ----> https://www.google.pt/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=1x2+betting+explained

It is not a BetBTC vs betabit issue, it's more like a global term used in the industry, won't lose more time here..

Going now to the color similarity issue used for the Back/Lay tables, it's more or less the same as previous point.. you can check that SMarkets is using that same style… And Betfair uses a style of colors for that elements, that we don’t consider that would fit well in our layout, so we went with the common and standard style, in terms of buy/sell (referring to trading situations) colors - > buy is green and sell is red.

If you, or someone have more print screens from the website you referred, we would appreciate that you share them with us as we are now a little curious. However we are 100% certain that the similarities you are talking are very weak and vague because we developed everything and there's no chance anybody had cloned us so far (never been hacked or stolen)

Just to conclude, we would like to referrer one more time, that we are not accepting deposits at this time.

We are in a BETA Stage, and you will not need to put even a satoshi in our website to test it now, our goal is only to gather feedback from users and improve our platform.

Please stop accusing BetBTC without having valid arguments while we are working the best we can. We are trying to build our reputation providing all the class and professionalism we can.

If our goal was to scam people, we won't need any beta time and our cashier won't be closed.. think about that.

Thank you for your attention
