1981  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 18, 2022, 07:37:27 AM
Yes, we just spoke about this yesterday.... this sudden shift to "Work from home" have had a strange affect on the house prices in small towns. People can now work in any town they want, so they are moving to areas away from their town where their offices are situated. (Sometimes just going to their Office once or two times per month)

All meetings are done virtually and they do their admin work and/or programming etc... from another town. This has caused an increase of property prices in the strangest places.  Roll Eyes
1982  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Too much FUD: Why FUD against Binance doen't seem to be justified on: December 18, 2022, 07:24:50 AM
Well, I think a lot of people saw what Binance did to FTX Exchange and they think that Binance was the reason why FTX failed and a lot of people lost money. So I will not be surprised if there are a lot of butthurt people out there for revenge ...(ex-employees of FTX Exchange or people who has lost money)

I hope I am wrong... but this is cannot be a coincidence that we suddenly see a up surge of FUD against Binance.  Roll Eyes
1983  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.us social casino review- Play legally at Stake in US on: December 18, 2022, 07:16:58 AM
Stake makes enough money. I'm not sure why they want to go this way which is totally illegal. Calling it social gambling and using gold coins doesn't change anything.

That is what I was thinking....

How is this anything different to gambling... you are converting Fiat cash into some token that you can use to redeem something of value. Roll Eyes It looks like something similar to games at a Carnival.... where you buy tokens and then you play the game to win the giant Teddy Bear.  Huh

The US define Crypto as a Commodity ...so they cannot stop the rewards in Crypto... which is very smart on Stake.Us side. If you ask anything in the Stake.com Chat channels about Stake.us.. then you get warnings... they are saying it is not run by the same people... which is weird.  Roll Eyes
1984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 17, 2022, 07:01:55 AM
In the early days of Bitcoin there were MANY attempts to include "gaming" concepts into Crypto currencies, but most of those attempts failed. I specifically remember a very nice "Battleship" game, where you had a PvP game play and you challenged other players.

I think most of these games failed, because people did not want to spend their coins. The potential for huge profits was simply too strong and people started to hoard their coins.  Roll Eyes
1985  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and crypto and stock is bs, but property is real on: December 17, 2022, 06:56:08 AM
The 2000s United States housing bubble was a real-estate bubble affecting over half of the U.S. states. It was the impetus for the subprime mortgage crisis. Housing prices peaked in early 2006, started to decline in 2006 and 2007, and reached new lows in 2011. Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000s_United_States_housing_bubble

So your theory that everything else are Bullshit.... actually stink, because real-estate had it's share of bullshit too.. and this happens in cycles in many different countries. (Real-estate are very complex, with a lot of things that can go wrong... example : Natural disasters / Rent not being paid / vandalism of your property etc...)
1986  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-12-16] Germany calls for global regulation of the cryptospace on: December 17, 2022, 06:48:24 AM
I agree with the German government that some measures should be put in place to prevent scams, but it should be limited and not over regulated like the New York "BitLicense" that was introduced back in the day.

Bitcoin should be "Self-Policed" by the people who are using it, because governments tend to over regulate "new" innovation and thus causing a scenario where they slow down or kill adoption.  Angry
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 17, 2022, 06:32:58 AM
Is this a "Bitcoin" problem or a "Human" problem?

The Bitcoin Protocol are pretty solid.... and with a little bit of research, anyone can safely store their coins. The centralized custodial services are run by humans and that human element bring risk to Bitcoin. (Weak code / Internal corruption / Mismanagement)

We humans are also very lazy and forgetful, so we add the human weakness to Bitcoin use. We want convenience with third party services handling our wealth.... but when we are offered the opportunity to have financial freedom, we humans drop the ball.  Roll Eyes
1988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the smart choice not the entire crypto industry on: December 17, 2022, 06:22:15 AM
Bitcoin are currently the "King of the Hill"... but it is not guaranteed that it will stay there. There are also other Alt coins with very good features, without the head start that Bitcoin has ....as the first coin that were released.

It is not bad for Bitcoin to have competition, because it keeps the Bitcoin developers on their toes. They have to continuously improve on the features to stay ahead of their competitors. (Example : Tx speed was a problem, to they developed the Lightning Network to improve the tx speed)  Wink
1989  Economy / Economics / Re: A breakthrough in thermonuclear fusion technology! End of the era of hydrocarbon on: December 16, 2022, 07:47:28 AM

Your opinion ? Forecasts? Are we witnessing an unexpected end to the era of hydrocarbon fuels? Should all oil / coal / gas producing countries prepare for a "new poor life"?

Just remember one thing..... The Oil / Coal / Gas giants have invested their profits into many other industries too, they will most probably invest their money into "new" technologies like this and continue making massive profits.

Abu Dhabi was formerly an undeveloped town of only local importance, but the emirate’s oil revenues enabled it to evolve into a modern city with a fully developed infrastructure. (Real Estate and Property Investments / Investing in Funds, Stocks, and Shares of other large companies)  Wink
1990  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of finance belongs to open source on: December 16, 2022, 07:21:30 AM
Proprietary code provides more security in my opinion.... where Open source has to go through Peer review, before it can be pushed into full operation. The financial institutions need more control over this whole reviewing of the code process, where they can hire certified external developers to alpha and beta test their software.

So I cannot see how Open source can provide better security, than Proprietary code? (Example : Mike Hearn and R3 development)
1991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There Any Crypto Casino With An In-built Mini Crypto Exchange? on: December 16, 2022, 07:08:32 AM
I think established gambling sites like Duelbits, Betfury, Stake, and many others have this feature built into their platform as it helps customers like you who oftentimes find themselves using the wrong coin for the wrong games. Although in the case of you wanting to easily exchange your bitcoin to usdt. You just need to acquaint yourself to their platform I guess.
OK, I've been playing on stake for a while now and I've not come across such a feature as being able to exchange or convert from one crypto coin to another.
Though your comment made me to go searching stake to try to find where the feature is, I didn't find anything except the ability to display coins in fiat chosen by the user.

This is also good, but in totality, it is absolutely different from what I am asking about.

Well, they do not use their own Crypto exchange ... but you can use https://dinabot.exchange/ that are linked to their Chat feature to exchange some coins. (It also works with PrimeDice.com which is their other casino)

I think the reason why so many of them do not have this, are the additional licenses and financial regulations that this adds to the operating burden. (it also needs extra Staff to manage the problems & maintenance of such a service)  Roll Eyes
1992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Better Ways To Manage Energy Consumption For Casino Centers. on: December 16, 2022, 07:02:10 AM
Well, a lot of the "Brick n Mortar" casinos are slowly shifting to a Online casino or a Crypto casino, which significantly reduce their energy footprint when they close down the  "Brick n Mortar" casino.  Wink

Some casinos also owned Hotels adjacent to the casino ...and they sold the Hotel to a new owner to cut their costs and to reduce their energy expenses.  Roll Eyes
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 16, 2022, 06:48:55 AM
Well, my go-to casinos are :

Stake.com
Duelbits.com
Bitcasino.io
Freebitco.in (old favorite)
Roobet.com

I swap between all of them, depending on what promotions are running or what games are new on each of these casino. (New Releases) The RTP on the Slots are the same on most of them, but Stake sometimes have the best RTP on their original games.
1994  Economy / Gambling / Re: MegaPari is nominated for the EGR Nordics Awards 2023 - Bonus inside on: December 16, 2022, 06:41:22 AM
Is this really such a great accomplishment to be shortlisted for a regional award? (Nordic region)?  Do I have the correct url for this event==> https://egr.global/events/egr-nordics-awards-2022/

In any way, I do not want to rain on your parade.... any reward needs to be congratulated... so enjoy your nomination and I hope you win your catagory, so keep us updated.  Wink Grin
1995  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 15, 2022, 10:22:10 AM
A lot of financial advisors recommend that you aim to save at least 15% of your income annually. (in your 20s)

On average, people should contribute 17% of their salary over 40 years (from age 25 to 65) towards their retirement savings to achieve a 75% replacement ratio. (taken from a old financial magazine)

By the time you are 55 years old, you should have saved about 7 times your salary. The real challenge will be to invest this in something that beats inflation.  Roll Eyes  (...and not to dive into your investment capital)
1996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Discussion Thread on: December 15, 2022, 10:09:35 AM
I really think Argentina is going to win this World Cup..... Messi already said it is his last World Cup, so he wants to be known as the GOAT .... and this is his final hoooorah to do it.

I would have wanted to see him against Ronaldo in the final, but that cannot happen anymore..... so I will settle for a Messi vs Mbappe   Grin
I see the odds favor France to win on most sites, but I feel we will see a draw after 90 minutes.  Tongue
1997  Economy / Gambling / Re: Spiroll.app V2 Available! - New Crypto Casino - $10 Signup Bonus! on: December 15, 2022, 09:55:58 AM
We care about users' privacy. That's why we don't require KYC from users.

This response means you are 100% non-KYC casino which is a good thing, and what most members here always look out for from a casino and spiroll being a brand-new casino will definitely attract the right audience from this forum being a private site that does not require any form of verification from players. All the same, you will still need to spend time to build your reputation and a good way to do that is by offering some bonus like you already did $10 welcome bonus is good enough to attract new players that will give out feedback in the coming week.
Even if you withdraw a lot of money it is still a KYC free? Or maybe it will be required at certain amount?
Good to see another site doing their best to market here, and I guess the issue about bankroll is already solve. Will try to look for more details about this one and read the terms if this is really a KYC free site and if the withdrawal is faster compare to other site.

Complately KYC free. We will never ask KYC from users.

I am keeping this for prosperity, because MANY casinos made this claim on this forum ...and guess what, after a couple of months most of them started to require KYC information.

The thing is, these small operators fly under the radar for a while... but the regulators look the other way.. because they are after the big sharks. Then these small guys will grow their users and once they grown... the regulators starts to put pressure on them to require KYC information.

Then they forget about their promises and they start blocking people's accounts.. if they do not KYC.  Roll Eyes
1998  Other / Archival / Re: who played here? on: December 15, 2022, 09:44:34 AM
Did you guys have a look at this ==> https://www.dexterbet.com/en/payments/withdraws  ... The fees are ridiculous
and the waiting times are outrages too, so why will people want to play here?

They also have a sh1tload of restricted countries and No VIP programme ? There are lots of better Crypto casinos to play.... I would rather wait until they have built a good reputation.. before I play here.  Roll Eyes
1999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Limitations of Bitcointalk Members from Developing Countries on: December 15, 2022, 09:29:27 AM
You know what... most of those challenges can be over come...

Let's take "Power failures" as an example... my friends in South Africa has what they call, "Loadshedding" ... where they do not have power for hours every day. (The main power supplier cannot generate enough power, so they switch off the power at different stages to keep the power grid running)

These people use Generators and inverters / UPS's to stay operational during these power failures.. so they found solutions. Also, people in third world countries do not have super fast Internet... so they club together to pay for decent wireless solutions and they share the bandwidth. (So they all work from one location during Office hours)

You just have to make a plan to keep the pot cooking..... Wink
2000  Other / Off-topic / Re: Messi is closer to his dream on: December 14, 2022, 11:51:56 AM
How can Lionel Messi still be like this, and this 35 year old man still has extraordinary appearance and talent in playing football, unlike Ronaldo and Neymar, his appearance is different from Messi when on the field, especially in providing assists and also scoring goals.
Messi will have the chance to win the golden ball, golden boot and trophy that will dispel any doubts about the identity of the greatest player of all time.

Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary is the oldest footballer to play at the men’s FIFA World Cup ==> 45 years, 161 days  Grin .... so Messi is still young at 35 years. Messi played against Luka Modrić ...age 37 last night..... so he was not the oldest on the field.

In any way.... I think Messi will hang up his boots after this Wold Cup.... he is walking most of the time..and he is not as fast as he used to be. (in my opinion)  Wink
