1981  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2016, The Year of Bitcoin? on: October 15, 2016, 11:00:51 AM
So many great things coming soon to Bitcoin. We will have segregated witness in the mainnet soon, then it's all possible: sidechains, Lightning network, mimblewimble.. sky will be the limit. And Bitcache is coming soon when I hope is a success.
1982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: October 14, 2016, 04:22:20 PM
IF there was a way to really win at gambling by following a step by step method or guide then everyone would be rich, but guess what, there is no such a method. All ways that tell you how to make money by following certain steps are not what it seems. You just have to know when to stop, that is the best technical.
1983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 207: Rousey vs Nunes Prediction and Info Thread on: October 14, 2016, 04:04:27 PM
really anticipated to watch this match, after the lost Rousey seems to be so down until want to suicide, i think her ego is too high and too arrogant, but despite all of that she is one of the greatest UFC female fighter, and i like to watch her arm bar grappling technique,it is going to be an awesome match

Then again if she wins, it would be the biggest victory of her life and get her status back as the UFC's most popular fighter.  Well with McGregor around they would be the two most popular fighters.  It's a big risk for her, but a risk worth taking.

Both McGregor and Ronda Rousey have their entire careers at stake on a single fight. If they lose again it's over for both, that is what happens you put the standards too high and you make yourself one of the best and a super star. If McGregor loses with Aldo then the 3rd Diaz fight gets devalued a lot and it's not as exciting. If Ronda loses twice then her career is done for. I think she will not be able to win because she was used to always winning and having that 1 on her record has destroyed her confidence.

It is so hard to have your record at 0, this is why I think guys like Mayweather are total legends. There is nothing better than being undefeated.
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kim Dotcom: Bitcache Will Be ‘Off Chain Due to Limitations’ on: October 14, 2016, 02:38:34 PM
Bitcoin . com is a pathetic propaganda site that will use whatever news to attack Core and Blockstream. Of course they had to use the Bitcache news to attack them too, claiming how those limitations are Core's fault because they don't raise the block size to over 9000TB (which is what would be needed if you wanted the billions of transactions that Bitcache will potential deal with once it goes mainstream). When will those idiots understand that the only way to go is off chain with services like that? Morons. Roger Ver is the biggest idiot/troll in the scene right now.
1985  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: October 14, 2016, 02:29:02 PM
Gold has had its reputation for centuries. Simply, there is nothing that can compare in that respect, and it is really hard that it ends up being worth nothing after centuries of being a valuable metal.

Gold will always have value but it will never make you rich. Now Bitcoin has more risks but it has a ton more possibilities of making you rich with a affordable 5 figure investment. Like investing 10,000$ right now in Bitcoin can make you a millionaire in 10 to 20 years, with gold not so much.
1986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tipping Uber drivers with bitcoin on: October 14, 2016, 01:48:31 PM
I have never seen anyone in real life that knows what bitcoin is in my country, so I would not expect any of them to know or have any means to accept bitcoin on their phones and they will probably not want to get bothered and just ask for cash, but once governments remove cash they will regret not learning earlier.
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Federal Reserve wants to speed up blockchain implementation on: October 14, 2016, 12:37:02 PM
Cool, the faster blockchain stuff is pushed in the mainstream the more Bitcoin will get mentioned in there as well as a side effect since it's impossible to talk about blockchain technology without mentioning Bitcoin and not looking like an idiot.
1988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FATCA will drive the world to crypto-currency on: October 14, 2016, 12:33:24 PM
Im still yet to see Russia being officially positive for Bitcoin. Russia wants a lot of control of monetary policy and Bitcoin escapes all control no matter how much you want to regulate the exchanges. They have been scaring people with jail time if they had Bitcoins in Russia not a long time ago so we'll see.

Anyway Bitcoin cannot be stopped no matter what policies governments come up with.
1989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games Are So Much Fun on: October 13, 2016, 07:46:13 PM
Dice games are cool but online dice is not as good as physical dice. The adrenaline of seeing the dice bounce in real life is way better than online, of course is not as comfortable since you have to get your ass on the casino.

I am a bigger fan of online slots than dice, even tho real life casino is always more fun and exciting in any game.
1990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 13, 2016, 07:08:18 PM
@pereira4. No it is much better for Conor McGregor to go after UFC history by holding two championship belts at the same time. If he becomes the light weight champion, then Nate Diaz can challenge him for the belt. The 3rd fight between them will be more exciting if it will happen that way.

There is now also some news that Dominic Cruz wants to fight Conor in either feather weight or light weight. He too is looking for a challenge.

Yeah that's right, it will be a lot more epic if he wins, but there is the chance that he loses and then the 3rd fight against Diaz becomes boring (more so than if he didn't fight now). He has balls to fight again before the 3rd Diaz fight since he can ruin his career by losing.
1991  Economy / Speculation / Re: It took only 11 days to go from 639 to 1148 last time on: October 13, 2016, 05:58:00 PM
$1,000 again would be very exciting. As tempting as it'd be I probably still wouldn't sell much though. It'd have to hit $10,000 before I simply had to get rid of 75% plus of my HODLINGS.

it is a matter of time that you become regretful after you sell 75% at  $10,000 , only a matter of time where it goes higher. Sure after $10,000 there is a strong psychological barrier and it may correct but you never know. You always think "oh this is such a round number, im going to sell it will dip then I can buy in again" but you never know what can happen and it's hard to nail when to buy back if it dips.
1992  Economy / Speculation / It took only 11 days to go from 639 to 1148 last time on: October 13, 2016, 05:16:29 PM

Before you are thinking about selling, think twice. Bitcoin can pump insanely high since the marketcap is really small and it can potentially go to 100.000+ per coin long term, so 600 to 1000 is absolutely nothing.

The next months will be fun.
1993  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: October 13, 2016, 05:12:28 PM
I would say 20 because it goes good with the number 20 years, but of course you are going to need to have a lot of money saved in other stuff too just in case.

Also make it 21, because the 21 million bitcoins ever to be created thing, so it's nice to own at least 21, since you are part of a select club.
1994  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still have time to reach the 21 BTC goal? on: October 13, 2016, 05:03:40 PM
Undecided
ya i don think im going to get 21btc anytime soon this year. currently i only own about 3 btc so im 1/7 of the way there. but the price is fairly high and stable right now for me to buy more btc.

Good to see that you already made 3btc which is not small. I also earned 2btc so far but Bitcoin price is getting so high and I am struggling to increase my btc fast. So, I think it will be a huge task for me to reach 21btc.I need your suggestion, what's your earning method?  just trading and signature campaign? or any other?
21 btc is a long journey to reach.. 1 or 3 it can earn by signature campaign but it takes months to get it..
Maybe trading is more chance to get that high value unless if you can invest a large amount of bitcoin in trading site.. that you are only investing in high market altcoin. .dont risking your investment in new altcoin some of them are scam coins..

It is indeed a very long journey and it's not going to come easy, but with asseveration it can be done. Of course, with only signature campaigns is unfortunately not going to be enough since they don't pay enough to reach 21 BTC anymore. You will need to take big risks in the market or get a job and buy as much Bitcoin as possible monthly.
1995  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: October 13, 2016, 04:51:01 PM
The time in which things are progressing is simply too fast to try to guesstimate what the hell is going to happen next month, let alone 20 years, so everything we say now is just a fantasy. In any case, my fantasy is that in 20 years Bitcoin is the backbones of the global economy, with millions worth per coin. It may be a fantasy, but such things can become reality.
1996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 205: Alvarez vs McGregor Prediction and Info Thread on: October 11, 2016, 05:11:12 PM
Connor McGregor should have fought Nate Diaz again for the trilogy instead of going for someone else. The last fight was too even, it is not clear yet who is best. To prove it they must fight again.
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 206: Cormier vs Johnson 2 Prediction and Info Thread on: October 11, 2016, 04:58:26 PM
I think Anderson Silva is past his prime and Cormier is overall a better fighter nowadays. Of course with someone as good as Anderson Silva you never know but he is not what he once was.

GSP is also starting to be past his prime but it's also one of the best ever too so it will be a fight of 2 legendary fighters nonetheless, but I think Cormier and Johnson are more hungry to win titles.

Anyway to me is a bit strange that GSP and Silva will fight given the weight differences and height but you never know, but I think that rumor is fake.
GSP is not getting younger and its been years after his last match in the octagon, the only time he fight is during training. There is a big difference between fighting in an actual fight and fighting is a sparring.

Silva after his broken leg accident is not 100% back to his old form. His last 2-3 matches prior to the broken leg accident is not really impressive. You will more boos than yeys from the crowd.

For Cormier vs Johnson, I'll go with Rumble Johnson on this. Rumble Johnson have the height and reach advantage. Both fighters are coming from 3 straight wins, but they have difference is fighting style, Rumble Johnson is more on striking while Cormier is wrestling.

I wouldn't say it's over for Cormier due height and reach advantage only. Big Foot Silva is huge and he got knocked the fuck out by Cormier, so he can punch too.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vWuGnoyoBU

I remember seeing this back in the day and I knew Cormier would be one of the best.
1998  Economy / Economics / Re: Implications of a Hillary Presidency: Non-Traditional & Hard Assets? on: October 11, 2016, 02:27:34 PM
I think Trump is still alive after the debate, he did well considering the very difficult situation, but being realistic, I think he has very low chances of being president.

With Hillary I predict nothing happening, gold, BTC and everything else will stay the same in my book.
1999  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: October 11, 2016, 02:10:31 PM
All money ever will be used for illegal activities, because if something cannot be used to buy something illegal then it does not meet the definition of money as Andreas said. If you can't buy drugs with it then it's monopoly money and not real money with real value, is that simple. So USD, all fiats and BTC are real money.
2000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee’s MGT Goes Into Bitcoin Mining, With Massive Amount of Hardware on: October 11, 2016, 02:01:09 PM
McAfee is a great businessman and knows how to stay relevant by supporting up and coming technology like Bitcoin. Sure he is a flamboyant douchebag like Kim Dotcom but that is a part of the product they sell, and at the end of the day they can deliver good services so let's hope this is the start of the end of the asian based mining monopoly.
