1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for increasing and decreasing money on: December 07, 2019, 06:34:44 AM
Your post is so confusing.

You are encouraging gamblers to gamble but then again you said that it is not something that will increase their profit? Then why said it in the first place?

A lot of money or not that a lot of money, people should not even gamble. Yes, you have a lot of money but that does not ensure you that you will be getting a lot of profit out of gambling. This is gambling and it ruined a lot of lives in the past, and even if you have less or more money to start, that would not be an exception for gambling not to destroy your life. Not really gambling is to blame here but yourself to even gamble. Anything can really happen in gambling and most of them is you losing not winning.
1982  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: December 07, 2019, 01:35:53 AM
If Bitcoin is legalized everywhere, I will definitely go with it.

The thing here is that Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies and fiat are like a combo for now.

Trading, investing, they do not stay on the boat of just one, we put ourselves on these both boats in order to get a good profit in the near future. If we will just be focussing on one, we will not be able to use that profit since we all know not all of the countries will be accepting cryptos. Some leaders hate it, some like the idea of it and want to use it in a longer period of time. For me, I can't use Bitcoin every day, I also need to rely on Bitcoin's exchange on fiat since not all of the stores would even accept it, I will not choose but use these two.
1983  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: December 06, 2019, 11:00:00 AM
To be honest, I won't.

There might be some plans behind it and I know that there will be a lot of people that would still use it, me? I don't think so. Honestly, maybe that is because I would not be earning anything from it the same as other cryptocurrencies. I am used to volatile and decentralized assets so I guess I would stick to that and not to Libra.
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think terrorist groups around the world use Cryptos as a means of payment? on: December 06, 2019, 10:02:05 AM
As far as I know, there are incidents like that.

I don't know if this is true or not but as far as I know, there is an incident where it is said that terrorists are using cryptocurrencies to pay for weapons or to transact. With the volatility of it, obviously, these groups will be using it since they will never be tracked that easily by the government or their other enemies.
1985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My dream for bitcoin on: December 06, 2019, 09:11:10 AM
1 . BTC will be the primary money all over the world all the currency will be just secondary

I hope this is that easy but it is not.

The government will never allow this unless they make their own cryptocurrency that their citizens will be using that they can still track or look into. They want to control anything, so I think that is impossible.

2. All the world currency will be exchange to bitcoin slowly until its all illiminated

May happen, but I think that is a low possibility.

Why? I think a lot of people would be loving this since a lot of people usually want to do things especially new to them. As I said in the first question, the answer is the government.

3. Altcoins will be use for very country and bitcoin as its Superior

This I think is a possibility.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is a great thing and I doubt that every government in every country will just let this go away. If they don't want Bitcoin, then they would be making their own crytpocurrency.

I am not saying that your dream is not happening. This is just my opinion and I know that we have our own.
1986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so few women buying into Bitcoin? on: November 30, 2019, 12:46:44 PM
I don't think we could base this on your friends.

There are a lot of people out there that you don't interact with, your conclusion is invalid with that small population. You can't say that they are not interested in, at least use some Slovin's formula there to get the right population to this. You are just deducting information out of your friends, but still, I can say that there are still a lot of women out there that cares about this.
1987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: November 30, 2019, 12:25:59 AM
If you feel an irresistible urge to continue, forcing yourself to stop gambling won't come as painless as you think it should. If you succeed at it (which is not given at all as if it is in fact irresistible, it is, well, irresistible), you will likely start to experience something like the withdrawal syndrome
This is a difficult thing, using our feel to stop our addiction.
As I know, if we have under-pressure situations, our feel doesn't work. And we need someone to stop our actions because we can't stop ourself at addictions

In my case, I can stop gambling.

The thing here is that I am not addicted, as I said I can stop but the problem is that I can't stop playing it. I can say that I am not addicted since I can control it. In fact, I just gamble some satoshis I can get from the gambling sites I can visit in a day. It is a waste of time I can confirm that but the thing is that I am gambling and at the same time losing just my time and not my money.
1988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite kind of lottery? on: November 21, 2019, 07:06:02 AM

1. Active or passive approach:

This depends on the mood but I do like to be passive since I am a passive person to be honest.

2. Odds or prize amount?

Obviously a higher odds with a lower prize.

3. Reasonable ticket price?

The same ticket as I am buying right now $0.39(20 pesos), I'm good
1989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale revisited on: October 27, 2019, 02:27:06 AM
Good to hear that you are still in success with your revised martingale. I myself having own revised martingale, not double the bet size, not playing for high win chance but "suitable" win chance. The conclusion is "it's success" and also agree with you that with suitable strategy, the moment that the defined balance drained to 0 will be definately long enough that we might not witness in one life time.

I just hope you can minimize your losses here.

Martingale will always be martingale and always that we are still gambling.

The last time I used this strategy drained my balance off my saved satoshis. I am a bit disappointed but that satoshis are the one I got in their faucets but still, I saved that in months and it was gone in a minute. Just remember that is how martingale play your balance.
1990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the discipline help in gambling? on: October 26, 2019, 08:54:17 AM
How strong does a character need to be to set aside some amount of money on a weekly gamble?
What needs to happen to make it happen?
Does the great loss solidify our character?
What exactly does it mean to discipline yourself in gambling (in the narrow sense)?
Should we be disciplined in gambling, does it mean that we are better at gambling, or that we put less money at stake with more enjoyment, less fear, adrenaline, etc. ?
Me interested in answering the last question?

That is a lot of questions.

But a human will always be a human.

Despite the perseverance of a gambler not to gamble, they will still end up gambling since it is hard to do. They will always be tricked by the efficient way of earning money out of gambling. If you want to avoid losing your money in gambling, better keep your money out of gambling.
1991  Economy / Economics / Re: Global economic and trade crisis on: October 26, 2019, 04:28:26 AM
If an economic crisis really occurs, to secure value, the best way is to turn to gold investment. Given the huge risk of inflation and the collapse of the value of shares and property. Cryptocurrency may be another alternative, but the risk is very large if the impact of the crisis impacts crypto.
If there is a global financial crisis yet again people will look for stable financial assets rather than volatile assets and i find it difficult to see people trusting bitcoin during those crisis but what everyone should understand is that bitcoin is the only asset that cannot be manipulated or destroyed by any bad government policies and hence you can trust bitcoin for the long term.

I think that is wrong.

Government can still be a variable that have an effect to it.

Despite cryptocurrencies being a decentralized, government can still have an effect on it. They still hold the people under them, and that is a big thing since they can circulate policies and rules about it. They might not be able to stop people from using it, there will still be a lot of people who will stop from using it.
1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WILL CRYPTO BOOM AGAIN? on: October 26, 2019, 01:10:02 AM
I think it will in 2020. The crypto market is consisting of more and more smart and problem-solving projects. Let's face it, the whole world is going digital.

We can't really say that.

Its been years, there are a lot of them every year.

These projects are here for quite some time now, and there are really times that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies drop, so we can't really determine what will happen, what we can do now is to be patient.
1993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which one you buy Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: October 20, 2019, 11:55:27 AM
I do not believe in recommendation of other people and that's why I only trust my decision. You can find out what is better investment decision that you could make if you will study.  Being self sufficient is also good.

It is not that bad

But I think it is also a great thing to learn from others.

I think learning yourself is a great thing but isn't it better if you can also get or pick some knowledge or skills from your friends or other investors as well? You can also compare some of the strategies you are doing and also, share yourselves some good assets or good projects.
1994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how i can protect offline wallet ? on: October 20, 2019, 11:01:14 AM
What?

How did this happen? That fast?

Offline wallets can be hacked but I don't think it happens that fast. If that really happened then I guess that is not in the time or the people he is chatting at that moment unless you are sharing valuable information about yourself or maybe about the wallet your friend are taking care of.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: October 20, 2019, 10:53:45 AM
Usually people in sportsbetting game, us their analysis first before they make bet. And a lot of people must be have same choice because of that. Maybe about bet againts majority is something that rarely happen, and like what you said it can happen and make someone win when they get luck.

I think it is not that rare.

There are a lot of gamblers that usually go against the majority.

When you really support the team and they are not the team that is favorable to win, they still bet on it. I think the thing that rarely happens is that team winning since usually, the majority wins. It happens and I did go against majority one time and that did not go well, kinda expecting it though so no hard feelings.
1996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now Bitcoin today on: October 20, 2019, 10:24:32 AM
The price chart tells everything.

I did not believe this in the past and I regret that.

I did reinvest but not that much since more than that, I will not be able to afford it. Despite me not really sure of what might happen, I guess I will just invest and wait. As a tip, we should be aware that we can afford the investments that we are doing or else, too much would be really bad especially if you will be doing that continuously.
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: October 20, 2019, 08:48:01 AM
I never won a huge amount in my whole life  Grin I tried some dice and other gambling stuff but the luck is not on my side it ends with a loss. Maybe I don't win a huge amount because I don't bet or risk huge amounts too. I have discipline if I experience a losing streak it's better to stop.
The same thing my friend said to me.

I don't really like to gamble, despite myself enjoying the fact that I am gambling.

Confusing right? I don't really use my money in gambling. What I always do is get some satoshis in the site's faucet and use that to gamble. That is the reason I am really wasting my time and not earning that good. I did cash out one time reaching the minimum amount but after that, it did not happen again. We don't win because we don't bet that much, I do that also because I can't imagine myself losing a lot of money in gambling.
1998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 20, 2019, 08:00:31 AM
This is just the worst.

You just lost and that money is not even yours.

Now that is the worst way to lose in gambling. I am sorry for your loss but I just hope you learned your lesson. Gambling is not a world of marshmallows and rainbows, it is cruel out there. Despite the great feeling of winning, it is hard to fit yourself in the world where losing is not an option, it is automatic to be in that situation when you are gambling. I just really hope this gives the OP his lesson and will give also to the people who read this.
1999  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: October 20, 2019, 05:52:47 AM
The cryptocurrencies can be still used as a money but not a day to day type of money. We can still use cryptocurrencies to purchase something in the internet but using it on our daily expenses is not worth it because we will lose money since there is always a transaction fee and you are risking the value of your cryptocurrency with the volatility. Use your cryptocurrency as a money on big purchases and not on cheap ones.

Yes, you can use it but the OP has another argument about it.

As the OP's example :
If you buy a flat with bitcoin and few years later the bitcoin value decrease... Your flat lose his value as well.

Relating your statement to the OPs post. If you are selling Rolls Royce Sweeptails and I bought 2 of it, and as you said buy on big purchases using Bitcoin, and I used my Bitcoins. Let's say one month later and the price of Bitcoin dropped, that also means that the car's value you are selling dropped too, do you get it? We can't use Bitcoin because it is decentralized. Now imagine that continues changes happening every day in our lives, you will never know how much a gum really costs in a day.
2000  Economy / Economics / Re: Paper Money - The Greatest Scam on: October 20, 2019, 04:45:21 AM
Paper money or the fiat currency is a tool that you can use to make your life easier or make your life your worst nightmare. Paper money is a scam in terms of losing its value and other disadvantages but on the other hand, if you know how to spend it wisely and how to manage it properly then you will be able to prosper using paper money.

What?

How will this thing make your life easier?

We earn this money. Jobs, knowledge, and education will make our lives easier, not this paper money. The value of fiat is a scam to start with but we can't really stop that right now since it is been a part of everyone's life until now. If you do not know how to earn it in the first place, you will never spend it and manage it properly.
