yea, not to mention Yifu and the mega failed preorder of millions of paid avalon chips that "got stuck in the customs".
1982  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / The 1st rule of the mining club on: June 24, 2014, 05:13:30 PM
do not preorder

there are several reasons for that. the first one is obvious: you might not get your miner in time or if you are really unlucky, you might not get it at all.

the second reason is that money of your preorder is used for the development of big data centers that will compete with you. we have already seen this happening with Bitfury, KnC, BFL, aaaand Spondooliies tech...did I forget someone? Cheesy

how about you? what is the first rule for ya?
1983  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 24, 2014, 02:09:27 PM
I went to BITMAIN booth today in the Inside Bitcoin Hong Kong conference. One of the bitmain's eployee (very nice, big shoutout to him) said there will be upgrade kits for s1 and s2 but will be months later. Basically, just changing pcb.

wow, bitmain making sense, again.

so refreshing in the mining scam industry.

I agree, Bitmain is the better vendor out there, but I have a feeling they just shot themselves in the foot with this S3… With difficulty being so high and going a lot higher in the near term, 500 GH's is not going to cut it. So with that said they are going to knock a lot of the little guys out early…

It was critical for Bitmain to build on the S2 and to make the 1TH's a standard entry level product .. As it stand now, the S3 is going to fit into their 1u/2u product line. The reason I say that is because, 500 GH's will NOT cut it for the long haul … At least the S2 had a fighting chance … I know why they want to ditch the S2 but they should have looked for a way AROUND their S2 shipping issues.. ship the units without PSU's, and package the whole thing as parts / kit .

I think 500 GH units are viable, because they will be mass produced and the bigger the production batches are the lower are production costs.

also, 500 GH is acceptable for both small occasional miners, and for big farms.

do yourself a favor and dont order anything from KnC.

for every miner ordered from greedy pigs, you will pay another 5 that go to their data center.

I hope that bitcoinrama received for his services on bitcointalk big check.

actually no
as far as I understood elasticband who has met him a while ago, they fired him while still owing him several grands..

talking about naive miners and stupid shills.

I kinda dont feel sorry for him.

You do not like opinion, you make it go away. The world is good when you live in your own filter bubble.

since when are TA drawings considered as an opinions?

Since elliot wave theory?

theory is merely an explanation based on observation from which the assumptions follow.

For example, I am currently pessimistic about the chances of the price ever getting much higher than now

that's new.

Yawn- putting this Jorge joker back on ignore

yea, me too.

also, I put TERA on ignore. I am tired of this "trend is broken" TA mumbo-jumbo/we are going to 100 k bipolar disorder.

not to mention he/she dichotomy.

I read the auction's terms: you cant place multiple bids (!) and the bids are sealed.

so if your bid is too low, you risk of losing the opportunity to buy 3k coins without moving the price.

I find that bullish. it is also a great price benchmark.
2000  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 19, 2014, 10:03:19 PM
day trayders hoping for some wild swings because they shorted at 615?
