Already sold all my AMD cards. Keeping all my nvidia cards though

Dev, could we get per-card OC settings? I'm willing to donate my software engineering skills if it helps.
It works on the AMD version. Should be trivial to get working on the nvidia version

There's new version out: Update 1104 - fixed PowerLimit - it now takes values from 10-400. Still you need to enter correct value for your GPU.
I have some mixed GPUs in one rig (1060 + 970), how can i set separate values for each? I've tried separating values with comma, i think it works for clocks but not for PowerLimit.
It's not working for clocks either. Will individual clocks/power limit be included in the next update?

I still get an error when trying to mine lbry with a maxwell card (980ti). Is this something that will be supported in the future?

Not a slam...just an observation there is no way the devs can lose on this ASIC development 1) if it all goes according to plan and they make/sell units...they know their profits 2) if the project fails and BTC goes by next July to 5k or 7.5k etc ..they will refund us in USD. My only issue is ..they COULD discover sometime in March 2018 say that they could make more $$$ if our BTC tripled and they refunded us USD ..thus why bother with the miner just a thought to make you go hmmmmmmmmmm edit: by the by did anyone get more than one? I jumped in with ONE because a buddy jumped in with FIVE and I did not want to be left out. (yeah the old double dare) others? curious? They are converting the BTC payments to USD immediately after payment. They will see no benefit from BTC price rising

What if I sold an RX480 for $350, and bought a 1070 for $310?
Was that stupid too?
If you can actually get it sold for that price then go ahead. But you will still need to add money to get the 1070. All over Craiglists its the same people over and over posting their RX gpus for $300-400 each, and they repost everyday and not a single one sold. Aside from a few lucky people, most people can't sell their RX gpus for $400. I'm having no problem selling 580s for $400-$450 within 24 hours of posting. Was a no brainer for me especially since I've been getting 1080s cheaper than that Even if I could sell my RX 480 for the exact same price of a NVIDIA GTX 1070, I rather not deal with the headache of eBay/Craiglist people. And its not worth the hassle to remove GPUs, add GPUs, configure GPUs, etc. I'm not a newbie, been mining for way too long and "assembling" rigs is no longer fun for me, its boring. In the end I don't really care about making an extra $50 per GPU per year. Like the previous poster said, the real money is in trading cryptos. Over the next 12 months I'd be very surprised if the total profit per 1080 is only $50 more than the total profit each of my 580s would have gotten

If you keep the cards cool enough, they will last a long time even if overclocked.
However, lifetime WILL probably be reduced as they'll run hotter than if you don't over clock.
This. The lifetime will probably be reduced from 12+ years to 10+ years

I'm using RX 470 x7 in a machine (1200w psu) For some reason, I'm pulling 1150 watts. Or 11ish amps of power. I feel like I should be around 7-8 amps or under 100 watts per card. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I believe it'll require vbios mods but I'm pulling my hair out. EthOS. Hash = 26 26 26 27 27 27 28 Temp = 65 54 58 50 66 59 68 Ptune = 3 3 3 3 3 3 3 Fan = 4 4 4 4 4 4 4 Core = 1.10 1.05 1.05 1.10 1.10 1.10 1.12 Mem = 1.93 1.90 1.90 2.00 2.00 2.00 2.15
Sounds about right if you haven't undervolted them. My 4x 580 8GB rig was pulling a little over 1000W before any power/voltage adjustments

Hey Philip, I got to thinking, unlike last year where power saving on a 1080 made sense because payout was tiny, the payout is so high right now that power saving is a real loss if it pulls your hashrate down even a small amount. Can you check my math here? A 1080 Ti at 250W at $0.1/kwh is only costing about $.70 a day ($0.60, but add some for the system). If you cut power cost by 20%, you save $0.14. Chump change. A 20% cut in power results in a 7% cut in hashrate on my 1080 Ti. At $15/day, that's $1.05. Real money. yeah and over heat burn a card . At the moment I have in my 90f garage 4 rigs using 3 1070's and 10 1080ti's pulling 10 amps = 2400 watts. for 10.1gh-11 gh If I jack it all up and run at 85% vs 70% I will boost 10 % hash for a 20% power boost as 70 to 85 is a 20 % my watts will go to at least 2900 and my cooling is indirect ac as I have not been able to run in my garage for year in the summer. But these profits are so high I can do it. I made .06 btc today that is 150 usd So in my case if I crank everything up and earn 165 usd it is 4500 a month vs 4950 just 1 thing breaks and poof goes the extra 450. I am in the game long term. So If I run trouble free and earn 4500 June 4000 July 3500 Aug 12,000 easy peasy no break downs vs balls to the wall 4900 4400 3900 13200 earnings or maybe 2000 less say 11200 due to dead gear I take the easy route. I have had to wait 90 days on a mobo rma and 3 weeks on a video card if I kill a few 1080 cards they may make me wait months for replacements. I see zero reason to mine at 85 % or higher power vs 70% Don't 1080tis start throttling at 84C though? That's well below the safe limit

I think everyone is overestimating resale value.
Majority of current price is driven by miners who are looking to jump in the craze. However, what do you think will happen once this becomes unprofitable again?
Market will be flooded with people trying to sell their equipment about 3-5 months from now.
When mining becomes unprofitable again you'll be lucky to sell used [4,5]xx cards for the cost of shipping

When I try to run lbry I get an error. Something to the effect of "980ti: invalid device function"
Works fine with ZEC and ZEN

1. Set the power limit to desired level 2. Increase core clock gradually until it's no longer stable then back it down a little bit 3. Increase memory clock gradually until it's no longer stable (or until your hashrate levels off) then back it down a little bit
BOOM done
You may have to do this for each algorithm

Can I run both AMD and Nvidia cards in the same rig with the new alpha nvidia SMOS? I have a rig that's only half full with 580s and would like to fill the rest with nvidia cards if possible

Hi, i also have 3 gtx 1080 founders edition and i have some questions: 1: all 3 gpu's are currently running at temperature 82 c and they make about 9$ per day, Is the temperature 82 ok ? 2: if i keep them running 24h, aprox how long will they last ? 3: does overclocking has effect on how long the card will last ? Thank you for help
82c is pretty high. I would recommend undervolting to lower that to 70c at least. 60c-65c is best. At 82c the cards will last a year maybe. Not true. 82C is a perfectly safe temp for modern cards

Check whattomine. I get over $14/day sometimes with my 1080...The average for an overclocked 1080ti has to be at least $14

1200W should be fine unless you increase the power limit. Reference 1070 TDP is 150W (not sure about the exact model you got). That's only 900W for the cards. 300W for everything else is more than enough. You'll probably be pulling 1000W from the PSU while mining which is slightly higher than optimal probably but perfectly fine
