21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FREE money in the form of BCC? on: July 28, 2017, 11:18:15 PM
I've read that Kraken and Bitfinex are crediting depositors with BCC amounts equal to the BTC amount already deposited in their exchanges by Aug 1.

Do i understand correctly that for example i had 1 BTC deposited, this means they would also credit me with 1 BCC?

Is it right to assume that BCC value wont be far from BTC? Worrying because it seems too easy that i'll be given free and easy money. Will this mean BTC price is going down?

Everyone is seeing this as free money and will sell BCC as soon as it lists. I heard the futures for this are currently around $200-400, so this is approximately what the market thinks it will be worth when the fork happens.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ChronoLogic - Proof-of-Time token on Ethereum on: July 28, 2017, 11:16:42 PM
Is this going to be listed on popular ICO tracking websites? Are there any interviews planned to get the word out about this? Is there a minimum amount of funds that need to be raised for this project to work as planned?
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rally is premature - 4 days left on: July 28, 2017, 11:12:53 PM
I don't think people are buying BTC only for the airdrop, which could easily end up being worth under a hundred dollars. I think people are starting to feel more confident in bitcoin given that the possibility of an equal split between two bitcoin communities is now out of the question.

With that in mind it could easily continue going up.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: July 26, 2017, 08:47:27 PM
With one small sign of whale activity this will become more popular than ETH

Projects don't survive on the back of whales they survive on the back of the actual development.

There is however possibly a good opportunity due to recent price falls.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to trade on August 1 on: July 26, 2017, 08:45:39 PM
August 1 will have the opposite effect of panic, there is consensus by near everyone on using segwit now and the price has crashed down a little bit it seems on the btc-e/mtgox thing which is the perfect opportunity to buy in.
26  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Are bitcoin casinos still popular? on: July 26, 2017, 08:41:46 PM
I'm working on building a new website with various bitcoin games. There seems to be a lot of them out there already. Should I shelf this idea and find something unique?

Looking for more suggestions   Wink

A bitcoin online casino is still a great idea I think but there is as you say lots of competition going on.

Honestly though I think it will gain marketshare from other fiat based casinos in the near future, take a look at some of the projects aimed at this like funfair, edgeless, dao.casino.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO LATE AUGUST] AVENTUS- ANTI FRAUD ANTI TOUTS BLOCKCHAIN EVENT TICKETING on: July 26, 2017, 08:39:19 PM
I was following this project since the last thread you made and I hope we can soon get some fixed dates on the ICO.

It's also great that you will already have your first trials so soon for Halloween this year.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ BITCOINX ]: DECENTRALIZED MONEY- COMMUNITY BASED MONEY EXCHANGE| on: July 26, 2017, 08:35:10 PM
This project sounds good but I don't think it needs to be its own coin to function. What exactly does the coin itself do?
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$? on: July 23, 2017, 11:30:58 PM
Anything is possible and the price can even go lower that $1000. Recently, there was some volatility and the price dropped by around 30%. It as picked up again and I hope it is destined for $3000.

Yeah but $1000 is just too much now, there are too many people invested in bitcoins success to let it fail. There is also only good news ahead with scaling solutions being discussed and reduced uncertainty.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: July 23, 2017, 11:30:03 PM
I'm very surprised that it goes back to $ 3,000 again, I think this time it could go over $ 3000, because it proved to be very strong, it will not stop now.

There could be a lot of volatility ahead though but generally we all know over time it always goes up so it's only a matter of time before it gets a new all time high.
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade at multiple exchanges? on: July 23, 2017, 11:26:00 PM
I trade on only 1 exchanges. Other exchanges i use as a comparison only. Due to the length of confirmation process makes it difficult to move balance from one exchanges to another exchanges.

It doesn't really take that long and you can have a portion of your wealth on different exchanges. The most typical example and reason for this is if you want to invest in a coin that isn't on your primary exchange. That's why I use bitfinex, poloniex, bittrex, kraken and liqui all at the same time.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tezos discussion on: July 23, 2017, 11:24:35 PM
I seriously believe that anyone who invested in tezo know that this is a long term project and would not dump it when it is available in exchange.

That is my point from the beginning.
Most of the investors aware of this long term distribution/deliver. No strong reasons to dump too much below to ICO price.

There will always be coin flippers waiting for even a small profit or a better opportunity elsewhere. Its naive to think the majority of investors are long term holders.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO that pays dividends. on: July 23, 2017, 11:23:08 PM
So here comes the ico's that pay dividends. I want your opinion on them. Would getting your dividend in any altcoin be good enough, or would you prefer a straight out flat percent of company profits in btc?

The problem that dividend system coins will not get on any exchange

And that means it will never reflect the full value due to low volume. Investors want liquidity in their coins. I think this is why we don't really see actual dividend payouts.
34  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: The lagest Bitcoin mixer is about to stop working on: July 23, 2017, 11:22:00 PM
Its unfortunate to see bitmixer cease operations but I am sure there will be plenty of other services to fill the gap.

I know Stratis is working on trustless bitcoin mixing through their masternodes.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: July 23, 2017, 11:19:01 PM
Dev,What is the exchange of the coin?

I think only liqui, and I don't understand why such a well funded project doesn't push for more action on well established exchanges.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin currently massively undervalued? on: July 23, 2017, 11:17:54 PM
I get what you are saying, OP. The ascent of the price was suppressed for some time because of the SegWit2x debate, and now it's resolved, shouldn't the price be much higher?

The price is already much higher than it was a short time ago at $1,900. Also, two reasons why it's not even higher:

1. August 1st is the big date in the head of the public. It's the date you can read about in mainstream media.

2. The hard fork is upon us now.

3. SegWit is not running yet.

I expect the price to rise steeply over August/September. That could start at the beginning of August, or maybe not before the end of August. But I think it will happen.

As you said it has already risen a lot, and SegWit actually running might make it rise further but I think people have already priced it in. I think the only thing that will push prices higher in the coming days is less uncertainty going ahead and the realization of being back to very low fees.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Announcements of Exchanges regarding giving bitcoin holders 'their BitcoinCash' on: July 23, 2017, 11:16:34 PM
forks and updates are part of the exchange buisness that is why they have the duty to give you both coins.

the only way i could agree to your argument is that the tech guys of the exchange are too stupid to manage the fork and tell their customer in advance that they should withdraw balances.

more like too lazy and potentially unwilling to endorse something they want nothing to do with. and if they tell people in advance then i still don't see what the problem is.

Not everyone will see those announcements and it opens the door to them taking the forked coins from people and selling it themselves.

They should offer an option for people to withdraw their coins even if they don't want to offer trading in said coins.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Most ICO's are SCAM ? on: July 23, 2017, 11:13:33 PM
Who even told you ico are scams they are 2 types of ico one is legit ico where they actually raise millions and other one is when they are able to raise only some thousands but they show it as millions without any proof. ICO surely have no business model i totally agree with you but if you see any successful ico who listed their coins on exchange people normally sold their coins 2-5 times the price than initial ico which is all that matters for most of investors.

No even some obvious scams raise millions as well, its just a bigger scam than those that raise only thousands. The problem is that investors here are too gullible and need to understand the value of research and demanding a working product before money is raised.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: July 22, 2017, 11:57:22 PM
I'm not so sure they fear it. Not yet anyway. They probably will when bitcoin is adopted to more mainstream use. Ita a threat to them because its simply better in every way. Anything a bank can do bitcoin can do better and cheaper and faster too. Its a losing battle for banks.

Not really, bitcoin can't offer reversible transactions if you get hacked. It can't offer loans to buy a house/car etc (though other users could in theory. That is just to mention a few services that real banks offer to users. At the end of the day it is easier to use a bank than it is to use bitcoin.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the first sign of a scam project (ico) for you? on: July 22, 2017, 11:54:27 PM
For me the first sign is a project trying to raise money with no working product, an unknown or anonymous team and an unprofessional website and managers.
