So I was reading a bit about the difference between these two cryptocurrencies. It would be nice if someone could explain it briefly to me, a newbie, what's the point of it and will it stay as PoW when ETH switches to PoS?
Will it be profitable to switch to mining ETC once ETH goes PoS? Thanks!

I've successfully modded the BIOS so it works stably at 27MH/s when mining ETH. I used SRBPolarisEditor and replaced the 2:1750 straps with 2: straps above. Set Mem Clock on MSI Afterburner to 1140 and Core Clock on 2000.
Working stably for 2 days now.
Mine RX Sapphire 570 Nitro+ has Samsung and Micron memories.

I have RX 570 Sapphire Nitro+ (micron), anyone knows correct straps to mod this card?

Still the same, crashing once I start the batch file for mining.
Can anyone provide me with correct straps or with a detailed guide to how to properly mod them please?
Thanks

Thanks and sorry, I miss posted here in this section. I'll give BitCoin Core a try

So, I'm planning to set up my stuff like wallets and similar things on a single Linux machine that will serve just for that. I need your advice on which wallets to use... Are there wallets that can support multiple currencies? What wallet to use for BitCoin? I've been browsing for some time now, looking at the wallets but I can't find a wallet thats in the middle. Some of them have less security but more privacy, some have less privacy but more security... can't really find something in between.
All suggestions are welcome, Thanks!

Update: Found the solution, I didn't use username for worker instead of dwallet address and dwall pw

Still the same, shares getting rejected. I configured it a bit different, since the Claymore command provided on their site is for a Claymore miner running on Windows. My claymore is running on ethOS and I need to edit a different file...
Any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch mate! Gonna try it and update the post once I'm done

Hey there, I'm having some issues setting up the dual mining mode on ethOS... Decred shares are all getting rejected.
Can someone provide me with a guide on how to do it properly?
Do I need to enter a password for Decred wallet or is something else the issue? All I did was, I removed the hashtags and I entered my values for the claymore.stub config file.
Thanks in advance!

So, there's a lot of difference between Reported and Current Hashrate on one of my rigs when monitoring them on ethermine.org
Reported: 101.6 MH/s Current: 45.6 MH/s
What's the issue there? Anyone has a suggestion?
It's a rig with 4x RX 570 Sapphire Nitro+ Micron

I've set Dual-Mining mode, edited the claymore.stub config file and it keeps rejecting shares from Decred... What did I do wrong? Did I maybe put wrong values or edited something I shouldn't in the claymore.stub file? Can someone give me a guide step by step what to do?

Thanks, I'll try it first thing in the morning. Will update the thread once I do it.

Anyone? Seems I've found out my GPU with Micron memory can't have it's BIOS modded... Is it's default hashrate the furthest it can go?

So I'm trying to setup a rig for mining, I got RX 570 Sapphire Nitro+. Trying for days to properly mod it so, because I heard it can farm at 30MH/s with stability. Is that true?
Could someone write/post a tutorial with steps what to do? I've tried modding it with some other tutorials. With first, driver crashed once I edited VRAM values (1:1750 pasted over 1:2000) and restarted. Found another guide with ATIkmdag patcher, driver didn't crash but my mining .bat crashed once I've set the Memory Clock to 2200. I've managed to increase it step by step to 2150MHz on Memory Clock and 1250 Core Clock. It mined around 26MH/s. If I increase the value of Memory Clock it starts to show those artifacts (screen tearing and random artifacts appearing on screen).
I'm working with one card while testing this, I got 9 more ready for a 2x 5xRX570 rigs.
Can anyone assist me with this?
Thanks a lot
Edit: Currently using Windows 10 for this, planning to use ethOS for final rig.

Hey there, I need some help with RX 570 Sapphire Nitro
I'm trying to flash it's BIOS. I'm changing the values of VRAM to increase hashrate by copying and pasting 1:1750MHz values over 1:2000MHz and 2:1750MHz over 2:1875 and 2:2000MHz.
After a system restart, RX 570 driver crashes and MSI Afterburner doesn't recognize the driver...
Anyone knows a solution to this issue and first of all, am I doing it right by changing those values?
