21  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC-e still down, Russian arrested in Greece on: July 29, 2017, 07:27:22 PM
That's how it should be, but I very much doubt people will ever see anything of their money back. It all depends on whether US authorities mark that complete exchange as criminal platform or not.

If they do mark it as criminal platform in its entirety, people will never see anything back, from where every altcoin and every penny in fiat will be in full ownership of the big and mighty USA.

At some point they will end up liquidating their crypto assets in form of one or various auctions. In other words, people are robbed of more than $1 billion in total ~ easy gain for the US government.

this is so much sad man! Sad

they've  got a reason , but they cannot take innocent peoples money! or who knows whose innocent ?

damn cruel world

Assuming the police have the private keys they will most likely make some kind of claims form otherwise they will be stuck dealing with civil court cases for a decade.

They aren't going to just steal peoples money unless they can prove that each of those people were doing something illegal.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: July 29, 2017, 07:25:29 PM
Bittrex already stated that they might support BCC based on considerations im leaving my btc at bittrex, they have proven to be the best crypto-exchange existing so far
what did you understand from that statement?
https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000808991-Statement-on-Bitcoin-Cash-BCC-
you really understand they will support BCC?

yea they Will now credit all BTC holders with BCC, as for BCC trading it depends on favourable factors like network stabilty and market forces!

I quote " Bittrex will monitor the BCC network stability and developments and assess the viability of opening trading of BCC assets. There is no guarantee that any markets will open to allow BCC assets to be tradable on Bittrex exchange. In the case of no BCC market opening you will be able to withdraw BCC  "

In other words even if they don't offer trades in BCC they will still give you the tokens. I think its safe to say this is a good exchange to hold bitcoin on and one where I will park my bitcoin until the fork stuff is sorted out.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: July 29, 2017, 07:23:40 PM
I'm glad these crooks are getting arrested. I do hope however that the police will ensure people can get their coins back so they aren't stuck on a dead exchange.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coindash SCAM - Open discussion on: July 28, 2017, 11:53:08 AM
I follow the news about coindash, dev is still very responsible. Although in a difficult position. They have lost the trust of investors. At least dev continues to communicate and promise refunds. I'm sure it's not time to say SCAM.

They were very amateur with the whole ICO but at least they are trying to make things better now. They haven't offered a refund though, just gave tokens to people who got scammed.

Their loyalty program is also a very nice way to help prevent too big of a dump once it hits exchanges.

"Their loyalty program" is poor like they, 5m/5m/5m but how many token they make? 2000m!!!!
then is shit.

they know 'how to do' for scam people, different if they pay 10m/50m/100m This is good for stop dump. but they 'DONT WANNA' save the people, wanna save only they interest.

We all know ICO in general are an easy way for people to make money, at the end of the day that's the only reason they do it.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where does the support for Bitcoin Cash come from? on: July 28, 2017, 11:50:08 AM
It seems its mainly a miner initiative, I haven't heard many actual users that support it and almost everyone seems to want to cash out of it.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need some info about BTC investment on: July 28, 2017, 11:48:35 AM
Altcoins have typically done better than bitcoin but whether that will continue to be the case is unclear. I would suggest you look into some of the popular altcoins and see if any of them sound like they will become very successful.

You can also look into ICO which is like investing in an altcoin from its earliest possible date.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This is what will happens on aug 1st on: July 28, 2017, 11:42:44 AM
BCC cash soon will be like other altcoin and will be forgotten. Don't worry people try to create a second bitcoin for years and this will continue to happen.

The bigger the dump the faster it will die and people will continue to support consensus changes over forking to new coins. Miners also won't continue to support it if it nets them a loss.
28  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bittrex will support BCC - All BTC holders will get BCC on: July 28, 2017, 11:38:43 AM
Don't see the reason why would they do that, this is just another altcoin, doesn't have anything to do with Bitcoin. Anyway, I got the feeling that majority of exchangers, at least those bigest and most important ones, will not support BCC. Could be a lot of confunsions before and shortly after August 1 until everything gets back to normal.

It's not about exchanges supporting BCC it's about them not stealing the BCC from their users. Let's imagine that somehow it becomes a success and the exchange is left with millions/billions worth of BCC but never credited it to their customers. It would be outright theft.

In fact the more exchanges that credit people with BCC the less relevant it will become due to the impending dump that will follow.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BIP91 Lock-in Does Not Guarantee a Swift SegWit Activation on the Bitcoin Networ on: July 23, 2017, 02:54:21 PM
This situation is like real life of middle man. The whales knows what they are doing because they are changing the stuff by themselves. While the people who doesn't care about the bitcoin situation are the one who "really don't care, or don't understand what's going on". The rest who stands in the middle are now in ambiguity where to go and what to trust.
this comment is about 10 days late.
this is what started on 13th and speed up on 14th with the FUD growing and resulting the bottom on 16th. a 3 day manipulation job by whales if you will Wink

The hard fork will happen? Yes sure, because rumours say so and here are they not liking the idea and selling out the wealth to whales.
what rumors?
there is only reality, the reality that we are seeing by the real blocks that are being mined and with the real signaling of support they include.
this real number is above 95% threshold for BIP141 and nearly is 100% because only a couple of tiny miners with less than 2% hashrate are not signaling.

and all of this is leading to a soft fork with the highest support possible to activate SegWit.
the rest is drama.

Drama seems to be all there is, even when a compromise solution is found people cry foul and complain for whatever reason. Can't we for once applaud miners for finally coming together instead of thinking there is something deeper going on.

Right now miners have the same incentive as us, for the price of bitcoin to increase.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: July 23, 2017, 02:50:48 PM
I think this is a great idea, but we do not have such plans yet, since bitcoin has not been legalized yet. Such courses will help to learn the basics of literacy in investments and people will be able to improve their financial situation.
i think when bitcoin will be legalize, it will be added to some business or in some economics class. it is good to study the science behind it, it is good to study the theory and how does really bitcoin and other coins circulated , for me if it has a course about it, i will take it because i believe that bitcoin is the new generation of money and investment.

Except all the basic economic theories regarding currency is already taught in college level economics and I don't see why such theory wouldn't apply to bitcoin. There is nothing special about the economics of bitcoin vs that of fiat or gold back currencies that is already taught.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex bitcoin wallet not working, how to buy on: July 23, 2017, 02:38:12 PM
You will just have to wait until their wallet is functioning, they have wallet maintenances regularly I assume this is the reason why its currently not working?
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I invest On BITCOIN right Now or Later on: July 23, 2017, 02:03:51 PM
Well the price has pumped a lot so its possible it can drop again but generally August 1 is only good for bitcoin so I expect when segwit activates properly in the middle of august that bitcoin will rise a lot in value.

Thinking of it like that now is a good time to buy in without considering the very short term volatility.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Should people not use BIP148, are BIP91 miners lying, and a 3 way fork! on: July 23, 2017, 02:01:20 PM

https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0141.mediawiki

the notes for BIP141, which BIP91 is made to activate, state that there will be a block size increase, wouldnt that technically mean
support for BIP91 means support for BIP141 which implies support for a block size increase? If im confused let me know

Segwit is the equivalent of a block size increase as it allows more transactions per block. I think this is what they mean when they say block size increase.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ShadowToken for the highly rated Shadow Era TCG on: July 23, 2017, 01:51:58 PM
Hello all,

Perfect ratio 80% for signature is a lot !

Also I hope we can get a lot 😅

Have a nice weekends.

Yeah, I agree. Actually, this is a very good project and the bounty still big. The number of participants in the subscription grows that indicate good sign to enjoy the reward. So let's give our full support for this project to become successful.
I really think that it is too much for a lot of bounty hunters but look fair for a great campaign i guess the campaign will do well in the coming weeks i guess the ICO will be a huge success for everybody.

I think is fair reward to bounty hunter
is very good if alocation to signature campaign is big, above another bounty

Over 200 users participated signature campaign.
And team said they estimate the marketcap $1-2m. do your math  Roll Eyes

And it will just bring more people to the signature campaign until the average reward per user is similar to other projects. There is no reason there can't be 500 people or 1000 to even it out.

Signature campaigns help raise awareness for the ICO and its always a balancing act of how big to make it but I agree they are giving out quite a bit for this one.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are holding Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2017, 01:48:13 PM
Bitcoin has shown it ALWAYS goes up in the long term so why are people reluctant to sell after price drops and volatility? Because obviously they know its just a matter of being a HODLer and eventually they will be in profit. Its the safest and easiest strategy and works for everyone.
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: Young people should go all in on bitcoin on: July 23, 2017, 01:46:33 PM
Going all in may not be a good idea, especially for them. Few are those prepared psychologically for the high volatility in the market for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general.

Why it is not a good idea? Crypto's are the future in currency and digital transactions. And if you don't want to take the risk of volatility of bitcoin then don't invest with it.  I think it's a good idea if young people are going to go all in with bitcoin because they are the future of this world. Once they have bitcoins it's going to be their future assets.
I agree. The volatility is not an important issue for the people who invest their money for long term. This idea is for the future of young people. and In my opinion, this is a very very good idea. The profit potential of bitcoin for the long term is indisputable. Small amount of bitcoin investment for young people can make them rich in the future.
If they start in their young age they can earn big in the future ,though they should set their priorities ,maybe putting their extra money on it can be the start then studying it little by little can be a help too.
I included joining bitcoin as a teenager, I joined bitcoin in 2013 when I was 17 years old. And for the past 4 years I've gotten a lot of things from bitcoin and it's changed a lot in my life you know. Even bitcoin can pay my tuition to college, teenagers should try it

Great ,Bitcoin is truly a big help for the young people nowadays to support not only in school but also might do in the future if you save some amount of it.But going all isn't a good way and not advisable by any investor tycoon even they are rich they do not make that move.

I think the lesson we should be promoting is not just sound investment but regular saving. It is never a good idea to go all into something regardless of age but even the youngest can save gradually into bitcoin or other altcoin to earn in the long term without spending everything they have.
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can u turn 25$ to 5000$ in 6 months trading cryptos? on: July 23, 2017, 01:40:42 PM
Is it possible to turn 25$ to 5000$ trading cryptos for 6 months?
No, i don't think because will be difficult to get fast profit from trading with $25 and getting the profit to $5000 crytos for 6 months and i don't have experience about it, but in my opinions on trading we don't search big amount of profit in fast way most important we must search constant profit from trading although just for small amount of profit, it will be big return in the future.

Well his question was is it possible and the answer is yes but obviously its not easy. There are many coins that have had this kind of return just by holding for 6 months without the need to do additional trades after the purchase.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Signatum - New Algorithm - Fair Launch - No Premine on: July 23, 2017, 01:38:57 PM
..2k sat within a week...

4k sat sounds good.

Is the price based on anything? Because as far as I can tell this is just yet another PoW coin that offers nothing extra above the dozens of others out there.

Or maybe its just another pump and dump coin.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: July 23, 2017, 01:36:26 PM
No replacing dollar still looks like a dream as we daily users face so many problems like high fees, slow confirmation time and many other problem like security of funds , requiring internet connection there are so many other important problems people face in the world and facing more problems just buy something can be really frustrating

These are problems yes but as I understand segwit that is coming on the network very soon is supposed to be able to fix many of these problems like the need to wait for confirmation times and high fees. The only real barrier I think is the security of funds, the average person does not know how to keep their funds safe and its a problem because it is irreversible. With cash at least you never keep a large portion in liquid cash but rather in a bank that does secure your funds.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] 👻 Entition - Supercomputer Organized by Mining and Penetration Testing on: July 23, 2017, 01:33:52 PM
So I understand the type of supercomputer you are making and its use case but I don't see how this will generate value since surely the market to crack passwords is quite limited.
