21  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL not responding to a refund request on: May 29, 2013, 05:05:25 PM
Ok, I just got the f*****g refund. It took 15 days since my first attempt...

But the only thing that matters to me is the result. So now I feel much better. I saved most of the funds of this faulty investment decision...

Glad to hear you got your refund.

I got no bitcoins yet, only the reply above stating they sent request to BitPay.... :-(

Good news, finally response from BFL:

Quote
Hi xxxxx,

Thank you for sending your bitcoin wallet address. We have sent Bit-Pay a request to send you a refund of $xxxxx in bitcoins. The number of bitcoins you receive might be different from the number you paid, due to changes in the exchange rate since you placed your order.

Kind regards,
Alicia
BF Labs, Inc.

Hope it will be done soon...

It seems only emails to office@butterflylabs.com work.
24  Bitcoin / Hardware / BFL not responding to a refund request on: May 23, 2013, 12:50:41 PM
I asked for a refund from BFL 9 days ago, then repeated the request 2 days ago and so far I have received no answer.

(I clicked the "refund" button in their customers' area which redirected me to contact form.)

Screenshot of my message from May 14th:

I tried to submit a support ticket at https://support.butterflylabs.com but all I got was CloudFlare offline alert.

Is there any other recommended way how to ask for a refund? I wasn't able to find an email address for instance...  Embarrassed
25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I'm starting to get fucking pissed (BFL) on: May 18, 2013, 09:52:02 AM
I asked for refund 4 days ago and nothing has happened yet. Not even an email reply.

How long does it usually take?

It's good that you're starting a project with thinking about the project name. I was told that it's the most important part of every project so I'm glad to see that you try to cover it first. Then of course comes the website and it's good that it's 2nd on your list. This gives me confidence in your project. Keep us updated and let us know as soon as you have your logo designed!

Does that mean that EVENTHOUGH your are a REGISTERED company, you can STILL be a SCAMMER?Huh *shocker*

That reminds me of another thread...

Well, its not that easy... and don't forget this scam is literally a few hours old. I'm sure things will change very quickly...

Define "easy". It sure isn't difficult.

I mean in any country you can just wake up one day and decide to make SCAM out of your previously run honest business/company. This "project" is hours old so there still is a chance that company name was abused and FB accound was hijacked... But if it is meant seriously I believe legal action will come soon...

The scammers probably abused name (and address) of an existing company from the Czech Republic. The company is legally registered and listed on Czech business register:

https://or.justice.cz/ias/ui/rejstrik  - just type Anamur Silif in the box

(sorry, AFAIK Czech business register doesn't have an english version)

Edit: full listing: https://or.justice.cz/ias/ui/vypis-vypis?subjektId=isor%3a100180575&typ=full&klic=ccbh1k

Edit2: The company is owned by this person: http://www.facebook.com/barreto.a.j And he proudly likes his own project... LOL

I'm afraid some of you just don't get it.

These blades will simply NEVER make 75 BTC.
31  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: April 20, 2013, 10:46:01 AM
Hello Tytus,

I am considering an investment in "100TH/s" project stocks. I have read the business plan and the forum posts carefully. But there are unanswered questions which are crucial for potential investor.

I believe that in one of your previous post you misunderstood the original question. The sentence
Quote
What are the long term plans for the 100TH security?
wasn't about physical security of the project, the poster was rather talking about long term plans with the stocks! (securities = stocks).

This is very important. I would like to kindly ask you to answer the following questions:

1) Do you guarantee you will not issue more stocks in the future? I have concerns about share dilution.
2) Can you clarify long-term goals with this project? E.g will you order another batch of chips, will you develop new-generation? Simply, will you try to keep stable piece of the total hashrate pie? If so, which funds will be used for that? And, the most important thing, will this happen under the current project or not? I mean will current shareholders be in or out?
3) Correct me if I'm wrong but I have seen nowhere (!) that you plan to sell the chips or even produce more of them. It's not mentioned in the b-plan either here on this forum. And now you are saying that you ordered double hashrate and one quarter of it is already sold (!). Will shareholders benefit from this transaction? If not, how will this revenues be used? Another quarter "goes for own development" - it probably means you will mine on these chips and make profit, won't you? Don't tell me you need 50 TH for technical development...

Serious investor simply needs more transparency, he/she needs to know if this is only one-time project or a sustainable long-term ship where he/she will always be onboard. So far it doesn't seem to me like that, it seems you used money from shareholders also to fund your own private sub-project.

Thanks in advance for clarifying it all...

I don't really get the whole thing with Ripple.

I've read a lot about it and still seeing it impractical, opaque and hard to learn for ordinary people....

I've been around for a while and eventually registered now. Leecher so far and now I'm going to contribute time to time....
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why hasn't the porn industry jumped on bitcoin yet? on: April 16, 2013, 11:13:04 PM
Common use-case: buy prepaid credit card for bitcoins and pay for nearly anything with it (including porn).

I think the best place to start is wiki at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining

BTW, what do you mean by "golden ticket won processes"?
