How phone miner can compete with gpu or even mid high-end cpu? What the idea of mobile PoW? Ofcourse it can't compete with real gpu and asic miners, etn never said it is real mining. It is just simulation of mining device and main idea is to bring crypto to ordinary mobile users. Just imagine if they make some partnerships with Samsung, Huawei or some other mobile giant, and you get pre-instaled mobile wallet on it, just like you get Tweeter or Fb app. Out there are billions of potential users, so ETN could be their first step into crypto world. |

Did anyone tried to make some transaction on Cryptopia lately? They made a statement today:
''Note that there is a known delay with deposits for the below coins. The issue causing these delays has been fixed and we are working through the backlog now which will be cleared shortly.''
so transactions could go much faster from now on.

I know the Cryptopia issue lasting 5-6 days was really annoying, especially considering that the other exchange requires KYC for ANY withdrawl at all, and also just came online.
As a community, I know losing access to markets is very troubling, so I was proud that overall the community handled it in a very patient and mature way!!
Cryptopia is now done with "Maintenence".
Lets hope they keep it together at least until HitBTC comes online next month, along with other exchanges.
Its obvious that the large majority of you are looking long term, which is leads to the very strong community we have here.

It seems that by this moment there are 898 members which are eligible for this weeks airdrop, but yeah, some of them are surely new ones who might have missed one of the rules (no-moving period today, not enough posts etc ). Well after recent price decline, one thing is for sure. If this price remain till the end of airdrop there wont be so many users who will dump their onions immediately. I mean, why would you be satisfied with 4-5$ price range. At that point only those who don't believe in this project will sell..

The price of $ONIONs is cheap and I might have a controversial view but it might stay around this level until end of AirDrop. Until the AirDrop everyone is getting a good 4-5% on their money evry week. That is nothing to scoff at, just think about it, in 9 week you get 45-55% on your money just from HODL even if the price stay the same. So it is well worth it to HODL. After the AirDrops are finished we might se a temporary drop because some people will be selling their coins off. I on the other hand will be ready to buy cheap $ONIONs since after the initial drop the price of $ONIONs is going to soar in my opinion. No longer can you get free weekly interest on you $ONIONs but the ones still HODL will not want to sell cheaply. With the releases of VoteCentral in Q1 followed by DeepSend and Zero-Knowledge in Q2 there is much to drive the price up. So my personal advice is to HODL (no financial advisor) and enjoy the weekly interest My question, after AirDrop end,.. what else will keep people from selling it ? ONION must be formed to be a kind of utility coin, so people need it. You don't need to worry about that, if one wants to sell his onions there will be other one who will pick them up and hold them better than the one before. This will provide higher volume also. But the point is our roadmap. As you can see we have very dedicated and trustworth devs, I dont see how else I would call them. They had opportunity even to sell their stacks when we were at ATH but they didn't. They usually have some initial price movements from beginning, especially if their devs did good marketing over some popular channels. Most of people in that case just wait for coin to hit on some exchange to buy some of them. But that is not a case on every coin. Some of them, which had ICO, slightly go down in terms of price because early participants who took some kind of ICO bonus, sell their initial investment and only leave ''bonus coins'' to hodl. If you are trying to earn some gains on those coins you need to research them very well before they hit any exchange. Best way to start looking for them is on announcement part of this forum |

Onions at the current price is a steal to be honest! It's massively undervalued! As from point of technology we are way undervaluated because of features which are planned to be delivered. From current price perspective we are even more undervaluated. Sure is, once we have the full kit out and DeepSend up and running we will be one of if not the leading coin for privacy. It amazes me how quick things get done here compared to other coins. I'm just curious how much free time do they even have for their own personal stuffs. Lately (past two months) they've been working and delivering updates like they are some kind of robots If they were working on lightning network for bitcoin, it would have been delivered long time ago. Not to mention that our devs are simultaneously working on more than one feature. Respect for you guys. |

Is it better to have lets say 1000 nodes in witch minimum number of XSH is 500 000 coins to run it, or 10 000 nodes where minimum number of XSH needed is around 50 000 ? I suppose network would be more secured and stabilized if there are more nodes, right ? I would like to hear you observation on that.

Neznam, ja iskreno nisam toliko oduševljen tim merit sustavom iz par razloga. Realno svaki svoj post tu na forumu pokušavam napisati što je moguće objektivnije i realnije, pogotovo kada u temama u kojima sam aktivniji neko nešto pita, trudim se napisati odgovor koji je potkrijepljen s nekim činjenicama. Trebalo mi je evo 4 mjeseca da napredujem od Newbia do Full member ranka, a po broju mojih postova (oko 200 sve skupa) se vidi da nisam neki spammer. Ali eto zadnjih 10 dana niti jedan merit point nisam dobio Neznam, nekako imam osjecaj da ce se samo stari poznanici sa ovog foruma nagrađivati sa tim merit bodovima, pa da za nas ''novije'' i nema neke šanse da ugrabimo koji. Ja sam planirao ovim svojim tempom postati Hero member kroz nekih 3-4 mjeseca, ali sad kada gledam da mi je za to potrebno još 150 merit bodova biti ću sretan ako to postanem u sljedećih 2 godine  Svakako mislim da će u neko skorije vrijeme ovakav sustav ipak ići na neko ponovno glasovanje, jer ipak mislim da ljudi kao prvo nisu navikli davat nikom te merite, a kao drugo neminovno će počet trgovanje sa njima, pa ako je do sada bilo zabranjeno trgovanje sa cijelim accountom, ne vidim razlog da bi dopuštali trgovanje i sa ovim. S uvođenjem merita definitivno je usporeno napredovanje, prosječnom korisniku ali to je očito i bio cilj uvođenja merita, usporiti napredovanje prosječnom korisniku, onemogućiti napredovanje spameru a da iznad prosječni napreduje dosadašnjim tempom. Trud oko napredovanja za posljedicu bi trebao imati porast kvalitete postova. Da li je sustav posložen dovoljno dobro u odnosu na ono što su ciljali administratori, ne znam, vrijeme će pokazati da li će uvoditi još kakve promjene. Osobno mislim da samo treba povećati količinu merita u opticaju, jer do sad je bilo dovoljno da napišeš spam post i za njega si isto napredovao kao i za kvalitetni post. S jedne strane zabranjeno je trgovanje accountovima a s druge strane postoje teme na samom forumu u kojima se trguje i licitira accountima. Hoću reći kontrola je slaba a zloupotreba će uvijek biti. Razlika je u tome da ako vide da zloupotrjebljavaš merit gubiš account koji je već visoko rangiran. btw. 150 merita ti treba do Senior Membera do Hero Membera ti treba 400 merita. Pardon da, do Senior Membera sam mislio da. Slažem se sa tim da ce ovo dovest do puno sporijeg rasta u rankingu. Ali evo baš me zanima kako ce pratiti taj sustav, tipa sad ti poslao meni jedan merit i ja tebi jedan. Mislim da ce budno paziti na takve stvari gdje jedan korisnik posalje merit, a drugi mu uzvrati, nazvao bi to "pranjem merita". Moja je preporuka da to nitko ne radi, ili da ako ima potrebu vec za tim, da barem priceka par dana ili mu uzvrati u nekoj drugoj temi. To je jednostavno taj naš balkanski mentalitet, ali šteta bi bilo da netko izgubi account radi takve stvari.. čisto moja preporuka.. |
