21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Accidentally sent USDT to BTC address on: September 21, 2017, 02:09:12 PM
This is my nightmare! sending some coins to the wrong type of address! everytime I want to send something I check 10 times

Though I understand your concerns in regard to this matter, I think 10 times might be a bit too much... It's a time waste.. Really..
22  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why people sell their miners on: September 21, 2017, 02:06:59 PM
Why is the main reason that people sell their miners?
I think the only is for obsolescence of miners, that is to say, that miners don't make profit, is this is true, other people can make them more productive?

Infinite reason why people sell their miners , they want more hash power, they cannot mantain them anymore due to is not longer profitable for them, any other personal reason may apply depending on their lifes ... wifes .. kids ..

Yeah, that comment added so much to the conversation... Lmao
23  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ask] Phantomminer 450TH/s on: September 21, 2017, 07:29:58 AM
anyone heard phantomminer? http://phantomminer.com/

their product offer 450TH/s which is sound great but i just curious. is this scam?

Really... Some shady company offering a shady miner with a shady hashrate for a shady price? No, but really... A lot of bells should start ringing when you encounter such a website.

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is!
24  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why people sell their miners on: September 21, 2017, 07:28:22 AM
I sell all my miners  (unless they break)

I wait for a time  that makes a profit for me.

lets say the r4  from bitmain.

purchased in dec  for 1500 usd.  I mined about 2000 usd in coin with it.

price of coin went up so much  I was able to sell it for 1100 last week

so 2000 + 1100 = 3100 - 1500  = 1600 usd profit.

Yeah I could continue to mine  and most like have higher profit but more risk.

Instead I have 1600 profit

I grabbed 2 avalon 741's with the money  and now have 16000gh instead of 8000gh.  and my original 1500 usd out of pocket is in my pocket.

So  it is like have 16000 gh for free.

I could sell the avalon 741's  in a year or a week  as btc price will decide what I do.

If I mine for a month  I should earn .11 btc  if coins jump to 6k  that would mean

660 usd back   and I could sell  1 miner at a higher price due to btc being at 6000

so if I sell one for 1000

I now have  my first 1500 back  I have  the 1600 I paid for the  2 avalons = 3100 plus 60

and still have 1 miner left.

so the original 1500usd is now 3160 usd and one 8000 gh miner

That sounds pretty great, but what if the price of the coin didn't rise or the price of your miner simply dropped?
It sounds like a great idea, but because of that, I had my doubts on it... Your story makes it sound great again though..

Some factors that could make people sell their miners: Electricity Costs, Noise Laws, Climate, Space, Need for quick money, Better Miners Avaiable or simply not enough profits to be worth the hassle...
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: September 20, 2017, 09:09:01 PM
Grow your BTC?

Assuming that you already have BTC and your account doesn't say "0.00000000 Bitcoins", this is how you do it:

1. Wait till the BTC price is about to drop down alot.
2. Sell your BTC
3. Wait till the BTC price has dropped down alot and buy the BTC
4. Repeat

Unless you have some insider information, then this would be impossible. For you to know that bitcoin's price is about to drop a lot, you have to either know a whale that's about to dump the market or be able to travel time. The first one can be the case if you've been on bitcoin core's Slack channel and you've become friends to the whales there. The second one is just impossible right now.

Trust me, if someone can just know a coin's price will go down/up, then he should have spammed every single market. And he should have accumulated a huge part of the bitcoin's supply by now regardless if he was an early bitcoin investor or not.

If you're religious, just ask god.
If you're not religious, just calculate it.

That's not that hard... Right?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Accidentally sent USDT to BTC address on: September 20, 2017, 09:06:50 PM
I think it's just gone... As there's no receiver for the USDT, it will just be in void and it'll be impossible to get it back.
Not sure about how it works exactly though, so many if there is no receiver you get it back automatically? You've lost your USDT otherwise.

28  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 2000 satoshi per hour on: September 20, 2017, 09:04:28 PM
2000satoshi / hour plan

I made a plan for claiming 2000sat/h using both coinbot and faucethub.
I have chosen just 9 faucets from over 100 of faucethub and i claim 1700~1800 s/h.
These are 5minutes faucets and it tames me ~5 minutes for the first to the last to claim and i claim ~180 s/round.
All faucets are really quick and easy (puzzles) and in a few have to write i code. ( i made a list so i just copy-paste them).
So 10 rounds/h (not 12 Grin) and i have 1800 satoshi.
I also claim ~250 satoshi/h for the 5 coinpot faucets.(for that 10 and no 12 rounds math maniacs  Wink)Freebetcoin & freedogecoin are not in this strategy but i claim them.
My "session" is 3 hours so i have (1800+250)*3=6150 satoshi/ day.
That's a 0.4 GHS (5 years rental) daily raise on eobot.

that works fine for me, easy and fun and i built my eobot mine daily.

If someone wants to try the strategy i can send him the faucets and answer any question!! Have a nice mining!!!

2000 satoshi per hour? You do realise that that is about 8 cents? That's FAR below minimum wage...

There are so many better things to do...
29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: June 10, 2017, 08:32:26 AM
Stephen said "100 years"..

What can't we do in 100 years? Think about where we were 100 years ago and where we are now... The massive advancements we made! Why wouldn't we be able to invent an easy solution to the heating of the Earth problem?
Ofcourse it won't be easy to invent an easy solution, but I'm quite sure 100 years is enough for us to think of one and actually do it!

"And if we don't succeed?" Ofcourse there exists the possibility of us not succeeding in saving the planet.. That means we have to get an other planet. We can go to a planet just like Earth through a Wormhole and save us all!
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin? on: June 10, 2017, 07:19:52 AM
I think we should just stick to Bitcoin for now and update it with the necessary fixes.

Best way to make profit now is to buy Bitcoin and trade it with Altcoins. That can make you a lot of money.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: The best investment you ever made? on: June 07, 2017, 05:48:44 PM
The best investment i have ever done is in Bitcoins. My investment's value doubles in months and is still growing at a very considerable rate. I am planning to invest more in Bitcoins now.
Congratulations on your profits investing in bitcoin, but I think it's now not a good idea to buy bitcoin because bitcoin prices are now at $2802.04 at coinmarketcap.com
They wil grow even more! If everyone now thinks they will grow even more and invest in the Bitcoins, they will actually grow even more! So come join me! Cheesy

Anyways, the best investment I ever made was getting +4900% at freebitco.in when I invested 1 satoshi and got 50 satoshi Shocked
32  Other / Politics & Society / Re: VOTE Should the U.S. Legalize Opium to Smoke? on: June 07, 2017, 02:05:20 PM
...

I was really puzzled with the OP's views. Opium is way, way more addictive than marijuana. I don't buy the smoking than eating poppies is way healthier. The reason it became more of a problem in China than in any other place where opium was also available was exactly because they smoked it.

Anyone who would love for opium to be legal only need to look at what happened to China. It basically ruined the country in every possible way imaginable. The emperor himself is addicted but he saw what's happening to his country that he moved to ban it (I suppose he planned to exempt himself).

Well guess what happened... "Let's bomb them to free trade!"

Alcohol is more habitually abused than opium by most people. It causes harm, I don't encourage it, but neither I nor anybody else has the right to tell somebody they can or can't consume this or that.

Opium was freely available in most places, including America, for a long time. Thomas Jefferson grew it and a lot of people, including him, consumed it. It didn't start destroying the country until it was made illegal and replaced with commercial substitutes.

Smoking in my opinion is better but that's just my opinion. The smoke of opium is extremely sweet and pleasant, almost everybody is attracted to the smell. However it is very bitter to eat, the taste is not sweet. Also smoking is seldom or never fatal by itself. A person smokes too much then they sleep. The difference with nodding off on heroin is that when you smoke you know exactly how strong it is quickly and are not going to overdose. Eating it obviously would be fatal if you took a lot, just as many food additives and household chemicals are lethal. Again, I don't support abusing anything, including a person's right to do as they like as long as they don't intrude on others.
So because alcohol is more dangerous than opium, we should allow opium too?

That means even more deaths... GG your logic

35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crime funded by bitcoin on: June 06, 2017, 05:41:37 PM
A crime could also be funded by regular money... And if bitcoin is disabled, why not make a new currency which only criminals use?
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: June 06, 2017, 05:30:27 PM
Bitcoin could help it, but I doubt it would be the sole cause of corruption...
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: $10,000+ To Invest on: June 06, 2017, 05:19:04 PM
10000$ is a very big amount in investing. Its easy to have profit, because it starts in big capital. The more capital the more you earn.If you trade it in btc your money grow fast. This is the latest easy money  now.
10000$ is not that big of an amount... If you'd earn 10% per year, which would be quite a nice ROI, you would still earn only $1000/year... Not that big of an amount ey?

39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wich cryptocurrency is the most promising? on: June 06, 2017, 03:11:16 PM
Nobody will give you the same answer. There are so many projects around that it takes s many hours to study it.

Anyway check out https://coinmarketcap.com/ and invest in the top 20 coins/tokens/assets. This will not be a wrong investment!

The Top 20 coins have already risen... They could drop just as easily, which makes them very dangerous to invest in.

Newer coins on the other hand still have to rise, so they can give tons of profit!

Example:

You invest in a coin of $200, which then maybe gains $50 making it a $250 coin. +25% profit
OR
You invest in a coin of $0.01, which then maybe gains $50 making it a $50 coin. +500,000% profit

Choose wisely...
40  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: June 06, 2017, 03:03:12 PM
In 2013, like many of us ^.^
I was searching for ways to pay without massive fees and arrived at Bitcoin. It was worth about $20 at that time... Too bad I didn't invest my money in it. I thought it was too unstable for that.
