Sweet. I hope it fixes the "invalid block" error.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What would you invest in short term to 1 year - cast your vote!!! on: June 23, 2017, 07:24:59 AM
There are so many alt coins currently available, some have potential, some have not. We can keep discussing forever, most of the time its a personal choice. Untill the big mass/investors adopts a coin it will stay at the high potential level..

I am following the XRB community closely.

can I used my own xrb wallet to solve for captcha?

Sure, just open your wallet (download from website or use the webwallet) and enter that addres on the faucet page

NEW FAUCET RULE: To limit pools, any account can't claim more than 30 times per minute. (edited)

Good improvement, totally agree. That should also lower the number of claims before you are in the top 150.

Just a quick note - hopefully will help people:

Invalid Block - Sender's wallet isn't synced (or you typed in the block wrong)
Not Pocketed - Receiver's wallet isn't synced

If you have a transaction that you can see on the raiblockscommunity.net website and it says 'Invalid Block' then the sender hasn't yet broadcast the block to the network - this suggests that their wallet hasn't fully synced, most likely it hasn't caught up. In this situation the solution is to wait especially if its a large web service like an exchange as they'll have hundreds of transactions to process.

If the transaction is visible but says not pocketed then it has been broadcast and now its sitting in the network waiting for your wallet to be in sync - in this situation first thing is to check whether your wallet is synced:
1) if its a web/telegram wallet then just a wait a few minutes as the admins ensure that the nodes are already synced
2) if you are using the desktop wallet:
   a) Make sure you wallet is unlocked - it won't process any transactions unless its unlocked!
   b) Check the block count the number outside the brackets and compare it to the block on raiblockscommunity.net
   c) If they are close then just wait for it to catch up
   d) If there is a big difference e.g. your block is 63 then you could try and boot strap the sync: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1381323.msg19562825#msg19562825

RaiBlocks works in a different way to Bitcoin/clones, they work by you making a transaction and waiting for it to be mined into the blockchain, the delay is waiting for the block to be mined and then all the network confirmations - in this situation you just have to wait for your transaction. In the case of RaiBlocks the sender and then receiver have to be in sync with the network for the transaction to go through - as long as your wallet isn't synced the transaction won't go through.

Thanks for the clear explanation!
Did the withdraw on saturday, so the exchange has a lot of syncing to do I guess..
Or something is wrong with their link to show the status.

Will wait for them to respond to the support ticket..

Got a response from the bitgrail support:

Dear User,
thank you for contacting us.

Invalid block is a rai_node bug. We send this issue t Colin (RaiBlocks DEV), for for that. Hope he fix it asap

Thank you for using BitGrail.

Kindest Regards,
BitGrail Support

Yesterday I bought some XRB on bitgrail and whitdrawn to my wallet. But nothing received yet. When I look at the "transaction id" the raiblockscummunity website states: "INVALID BLOCK."
So I guess something must have gone wrong?

Opened a support ticket with them, so will see how good their support is.
You'll need to wait. They've broadcasted the transaction but their node isn't up to date.

So I've waited some more, but still "INVALID BLOCK" and bitgrail didn't even respond to my support ticket yet.
I only traded around $15 worth of BTC for XRB, but still would like to recieve them in my wallet.
Doesn't give me much trust of investing more..

So you get a change on an extra 100 XRB when you are on 51+% of donations. Anyone here ever won it?

You are getting nice results so far.
Hope you succeed in your goal, although it seems quite far away, but not impossible. I think I would try my luck in some more unknown coins, but off course that would be a high risk losing all you got.

Okay, thanks! So the increase of volume and the PoW that needs a powerful server(s) is probably the cause,
right?

And thanks @jayycox for your FAQ, clears some stuff up.

The raiblocks faucet its reCAPTCHA now gives me the click cars or roads with those fading images all the time. Those are so frustrating because they take so long. Is it just me that gets those now? New reCAPTCHA version or just a bad reputation from my IP?
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: June 17, 2017, 09:38:17 AM
I'm new to xrp but like what i see so far.

My new wallet address for XRB xrb_13i71g46pow8cwgwmkem1nq76kf3z66b9ucqaezqu55pgtp9zk74tuy8oobx

Now to stock up. (at the right time of course) Smiley
Which wallet should I use? The official one from here?:

https://raiblockscommunity.net/

I guess Myetherwallet or Blockchain are not compatible, right? Sorry, I'm a noob to cryptos.

yes. always use the official wallets direct from the coin's website. Wink

btw, welcome to the cryptocurrency world!  Grin

Thanks.  Grin

What do you think about what was being discussed above in the previous page? I just bought some xrb and now I read that this could be the worst moment to buy, however there is people claiming that the price will not go down and that it could actually go up in the near future, I'm just confused. XD

I know that I have to make my own choices and to not make decisions based in other people's opinions, but being a newbie I guess it's normal that I pay attention to other people who could be much more experienced and informed than me, and right now after reading some comments I really don't know if it was a wise decision to buy.  Undecided

Once xrb is on bittrex you will see volume go up and so will the price. Altough it might fluctuate a lot more

-snip- ...letting you know there is a problem.
Ah that explains. Had it a few times when solving captchas on my pc and mobile. Solving the captcha on the ipv4 url on pc and could continue again, but took a while before my mobile worked again.
No google recaptcha on mobile phone / tablet, temporary workaround:
Requirements; access to desktop/laptop PC, mailbox or compatible text editor.
With error being present in your entire home network, on all devices, open browser console with your PC.
Error line should be visible and look similar to this:
Code:
https://ipv4.google.com/sorry/index?continue=https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api2/anchor%
...only with much more characters after '%' Copy the entire block of text and send it to your mobile via email. Access this link with your mobile browser and solve additional captcha. note: it will only work if your mobile device is in the same network as your PC (Wi-Fi). That's it.
IMO much easier solution than using mobile Firefox console addon.

Thanks, I can confirm that works, have used this method before

Devs/representatives, have you thought about changing or give choice which captcha service to use at the faucet?
It is getting harder and harder everyday to keep rechaptcha working. For example I was flagged by google as bot three times today. It is getting annoying to browse through console, copy/paste links to some "ipv4.google/sorry/index?continue=huge_link_with_numbers.com" This problem will get only bigger, so far I saw one person talking about "no captcha error" but I'm sure it will grow along. Now I know that working on two different devices causes it to happen very rapidly, like mobile plus PC equals maximum 21captchas before block(of course using those one after another not at the same time, same time usage give 3captchas before block)
I'm not complaining, just letting you know there is a problem.

It's a good time to be buying, again. Wink

Because most coins went down?
You stick to your current portfolio, or invest more?

I like your attempt and analytic view in this thread. Will keep reading Smiley

Hey guys, just bought my first couple k of raiBlocks!
Seems like an amazing project.

I'm wondering when it will hit bigger exchanges, any ideas?

Where did you buy them?
I saw them talking about bittrex a few post ago, but there is still some development needed for that.
