21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Do You Think 2019 Will Be Different? on: January 06, 2019, 01:29:03 PM

wrong.
goes up doesn't mean it should automatically come down too. the reason for the rise determines whether the price should "correct" afterwards or not. otherwise there is no reason for all the rises to end with a drop.

Well, not wrong. It depends if you're speaking long term of short-term so I understand your response. Long term it always holds true because at some point in time bitcoin will be redundant.

Short term there's definitely a big emphasis on the nature of the rise, I was being simple in my response because I assumed that anyone with half a brain can see that the growth in 2017 was not healthy or sustainable growth.
22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is not your fault that you are loosing in trading! on: January 06, 2019, 01:26:33 PM
This is exactly what I have been trying to tell people! Your experience and expertise doesn't matter in bitcoin, you can be an amazing trader, you have no fault in the trading because there are things that nobody expects happening in bitcoin. How could anyone have guessed someone would sell a ton of bitcoin all at once when Craig did it, everything looked like bitcoin price was bound to go up and 6.5 thousand looked like the minimum bitcoin will be and it was all sunshine however one unexpected thing led to another and here we are the price is low.

Nobody, not even warren buffet could make great trades too many times in a row in bitcoin. A friend of mine turned 0.7 bitcoins into 40 bitcoins and lost about 15 bitcoins recently, he is still in profit but even the best traders will lose money eventually because unexpected things keep happening in this space.

But you shouldn't have lost out in that situation assuming that you're considering bitcoin value. If you're trading frequently from usd/btc to try and grow usd value then you should've had some sort of a stop-loss in place. If you're just trying to grow your bitcoin then there's little way you could've lost out.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Security Tokens: a Wave of the Future on: January 05, 2019, 10:15:02 PM
STOs may well be the future but I believe ICOs will still be ongoing. A lot of projects don't want their investors to have such control or a profit share. Think also about all those projects that don't generate profit. Projects generate profit by their own token value increasing.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Do You Think 2019 Will Be Different? on: January 05, 2019, 10:13:06 PM
Put simply - because the market is not hugely over-inflated at this point by an abundance of uneducated investment. What goes up, must come down and this year boy did it come down.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new pro-cryptocurrency bill written by members of the US Congress WILL PASS! on: January 05, 2019, 03:26:14 PM
As we've seen many times with the US congress, getting a bill to pass isn't always that much of an issue. Actually having it effect change and have content in it that accomplishes what it claims is another thing. I have not read the bill but imagine that it is not as favorable as they may be leading us to believe.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is not your fault that you are loosing in trading! on: January 05, 2019, 03:23:57 PM
I was thinking this morning and trying to used my trading experienced in analyzing my past performance in trading but I came to conclusions that most times that I lose,  my predictions of market directions is right just that something unexpected happened along the way.
Because of this unexpected reactions in market cycles that is why we should learn on how to manage risk.  Since there are many indicators and we can not used all of them at the same time I believe that there is no way we would be successful in trading except we learned how to manage risk and reduce our risk as minimum as possible.
2019, is here,  are we going to continue in losing trade?  I have decided to love my capital more than profits this year and I am not going to take much risky trade this year.

Or perhaps you're wrong for not expecting these so called unexpected events. Making losses from time to time is not your fault because it happens to the very best traders but making an overall loss is generally going to be an indication that you're doing something wrong.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: REGULATIONS - A boon or a tale of woe? on: January 02, 2019, 03:27:41 PM
I think the debate on regulation really comes down to a debate on two definitions of value, monetary value (these people are all for regulation as it brings legitimacy and new money) and intrinsic value (utility), (these people are mostly against further regulation because it's a movement towards centralization and away from the ideals of bitcoin. Which one is right is merely a matter of opinion.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 In Bitcoin [ The Year Is Over ] on: January 02, 2019, 03:24:13 PM
Well, 2018 was dramatic, but I wish for stability in 2019.

You'll likely get your wish if history holds true. Every crash has been followed by a long sideways movement.

Its my first time to witness a very tough year for cryptocurrency because I got in when the price was skyrocketing ,2018 is a very challenging year but I'm glad its finally gone and I'm still alive ,more incoming hopes the is year 2019

The year of 2018 is one of the worst year for me simply because I am holder and I suffer big losses because of bear market. I really hope that this year 2019 we can face experience another bull run which I can earn all my losses from bear market that happen last year. I hope we can see the end of bear market.

You do all realize that a new year has no significance whatsoever? It may be a big psychological thing for a lot of people but the markets don't give a shit about that. Btc won't start doing well just because it's a new year.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: S&P 500 and Stock Markets Worldwide Close Out Worst Year Since 2008 on: January 01, 2019, 09:28:51 PM
With all of the political ongoings in major countries it's to be expected that there would be a knock-on to stock markets as uncertainty spreads. Brexit was already mentioned and I also believe that trumps politics will also have a large influence here. With little to suggest this uncertainty will clear up in the coming months I expect a tough beginning to 2019 for stock markets worldwide.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance on: December 23, 2018, 06:23:50 PM
For all of bitcoin existence it's held over 80% mkt cap dominance over all other coins up until early 2017, where it has gone to 34%-56% since, currently 53%.
What bodes for the future of this correlation?Huh

https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#dominance-percentage

It's going to go down more over time, it's inevitable. 1 coin vs 2000+. BTC will remain no 1 for a long time but it won't be able to sustain such dominance if only a few alts begin to have any real world usage.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do play this momentum? on: December 22, 2018, 03:08:27 PM
Look to find appropriate times to short. I think this is a temporary recovery so look for the right time to set a short and take advantage of falling prices. Even if the market does recover then there's going to be a lot of bumps along the road, shorts will make great profit in those.
32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please advise me which coins best for the day trading on: December 22, 2018, 03:06:39 PM
Please advise me which coins best for day trading, currently, I use this coins XRP, Ravencoin (RVN) and (Cardano (ADA). I am using low price coins because I have only 2000 USD

There are no coins that are best for day trading. Also the price does not matter because you can buy increments of coins. I would personally focus primarily on bitcoin because it is the coin with the most volume and the most interest and developments.
33  Economy / Speculation / Re: Final pump before full capitulation? on: December 21, 2018, 03:27:10 PM
$2000 is still a long way away from full capitulation. Beginning of 2017 BTC was still under $1000. That would be a 100% increase in 2 years. Do not get caught up in shortsightedness, bitcoin is still very bullish when looking at the long term picture.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This will help to improve your trading on: December 21, 2018, 03:25:07 PM
This is mostly common sense trading tips but that doesn't detract from the usefulness. Any trader needs to be mindful of all of these things and more at all times.

For new traders following this advice won't mean they'll be successful, for that they'll need a lot more skill and knowledge of the markets. But it will help limit their losses or maximize their profits and that's why it's worthwhile advice for all to follow.
Well what matters the most is the mindset. There are people who are very good advisers but they have no history of profits in the crypto. It is also about the risk taking trait that helps make money.
Right.I agree. And they say most of the time the best advisers are the ones who never excell on their own field.Trading is a continuous learning so you need to cope up with the latest strategies and skills so you will still end up making profits in such a volatile market. And the most important is have no fear.Learn to take risks because those people who are brave enough are the ones who make huge profits at the end of the day.

I don't know if I agree with that, I wouldn't trust taking advice from someone who has not been in the same situation before. It's easy to look from the outside and say what should be done (anyone who's ever given relationship advice can attest to this) but when you're in that situation there is so much more at play and it's never black and white.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: The bear market is over on: December 20, 2018, 01:31:06 PM
If the bear market is over, it doesn't mean we're in for a bullish market. I'm not convinced the bear market is finished but even if is we'll likely have a long period of stagnation. Most people are going to be terrified of investing in to BTC at the moment and so the price is going to remain subdued for some time.

People who understand risks are going to be far more profitable than people who take risks. If you examine risk and all of the factors of a decision, the actual risk you're taking on is much less because it is calculated. If you do not understand the risk you're taking on then you're just a gambler.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Etherreum 2.0 have any impact on the market? on: December 19, 2018, 12:37:13 PM
On the overall market - no. For ETH - you'd sure hope so or ETH is going to fade away. It won't influence the whole market because there isn't such a inter-connectivity with alts and ETH as there is with alts and BTC. ETH 2.0 could be too little too late for ETH, there's a lot of new coins challenging its superiority.

39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does being advertise the Bitcoin in Beauty Pageant and Sports Worldwide is Good? on: December 18, 2018, 03:07:46 PM
Advertisement is not needed until bitcoin is fully functional for what it is being advertised. If you are aiming for mass adoption then BTC needs to be ready for that and that will require scalability as well as a willingness for adoption from the business sector before the public.
40  Economy / Economics / Re: Bulls are Retarded on: December 18, 2018, 03:05:43 PM
Firstly is it really necessary to use derogatory language and demean countless people in the process?
There's very little censorship of language on this forum, and calling an enormous group of people retarded is not the worst insult I've ever heard.  Not even in the top 1000.

If the barometer for what is right and what is not is whether or not someone has done worse at any point in life then I don't want to be around for that. I agree there's been worse said and that the forum isn't censored, therefore individuals should shoulder the responsibility themselves to be better, not better than others, but better than their former selves.
